My son loves it here, he gets a great workout!
I have other friends that also have multiple kids going to this parkour gym.
It's managed well, and they have a reasonable program. Including a nice trial run, so I recommend you give it a try. Kids need exercise and they're just not getting it like they used to. Also, they have a range of classes including adults... I should probably sign up cuz I could use some exercise

Our 5 year old was in the juniors class about 2 years ago and loved it. We went for several class cycles over about six months. He had been in daycare, pre-school, and was in kindergarten at the time, so he knew how to listen and follow instructions. That being said, he was 5 and it's totally developmentally appropriate for a kid that age to have their attention wander. When you work with kids that age, you have to realize that and understand that redirection is part of the teaching process.

One day I see him walking back to the seating area with 20 minutes left in the class and he sat down next to me. I couldn't get him to tell me what happened. He was very upset and shut down. After class I talked to the coach to find out what happened and he said "He wasn't listening so I sent him to sit down for the rest of the class. I don't want him to waste his time and my time."

That's totally a inappropriate way to coach a 5 year old. I can see that tough approach possibly working for teenagers, but for young kids in the junior class, that's totally inappropriate. They're there to have fun and learn the basics. They're not training for a competition. It's embarrassing in front of the other kids. If your coaches aren't able to work with young kids, they shouldn't be offering junior classes.

This has really bugged me for the past two years. I almost never write reviews and I think this is my first one star review ever. He loves jumping and climbing and doing parkour, but every time we ask him if he wants to go back, he absolutely refuses. The way the coach treated him in front of the rest of the class embarrassed him and took away any desire that he had to come back.

My son celebrated his 11th birthday here and it was a great experience from scheduling to walking out the door at the end of the party! The staff does a great job keeping the kids engaged and safe. Their experience shows from the second you come in, through the warm-up, breaks, games, and free play. As a parent, it was great to not mess with set up, clean up (Lily won't let you, I tried!), and just enjoy the kids having fun.

My son loves this place! Lily and Julie are the best! They are understanding and helpful when you miss a class or have questions about the classes. My son is going to be 9 and we've been going since the start of summer this year. My son loves the atmosphere and since my son is an online student he meets friends here and they have activities for students who do school at home to make friends and I love that. The atmosphere is the best.

RVPK has given our son so much; from confidence, pride, excitement, encouragement and new friends.

Decently priced, VERY flexible on make up classes!

The staff? They're all incredible. Very nice, understanding, kind and helpful.

My son has been attending Tricking class for a little over a month. The only gym we could find in the area that offers this unique style of parkour and martial arts as he describes it. The coaches and owners are so kind. We also hosted a 13 year celebration and they were incredibly accommodating. They welcomed all parents to hangout and watch the kids who had a private session with two coaches. The party was also very reasonable for having the entire gym for two hours. We are very happy to find a place with coaches who are experts in their talent and who are also inclusive and kind to all.

Regarding some of the negative reviews recently posted about a field trip with a neuro-diverse child (which also includes some of the recent 1 star reviews with no comments) - as a parent/chaperone who was actually there on that field trip I'd like to share my perspective:
-- in my opinion we (the school) did not do the best job in providing the support for our neuro-diverse kid that is typically expected in a school field trip situation.
-- I am posting this review because my 12 year old is actually pretty upset about how our school handled this situation and especially upset about all the bad reviews posted about a small local business by people who weren't even on this field trip and heard of it second or third hand, and possibly without the full context.
-- also worth mentioning that my kids and most of the kids on that field trip that I've observed had a great time exploring the space and what their bodies can do, engaging with the staff who were helpful in instructing any kid individually in their interest in a particular trick or activity, and playing fun group games.

The staff (especially owner!) absolutely should not be working with neurodivergent children under any circumstances. Was only here once, but saw the staff responding in manipulative, impatient, and harsh ways to children that were trying their best to cooperate and learn. Disgusting. (For the record, I almost never post 1 star reviews.) If you're able to make the drive I highly recommend checking out Revolution Parkour Beaverton - that location is as exemplary as this one was appalling!

What a great spot for kids and adults alike. Fun atmosphere, great group of members and the staff are extremely knowledgeable on how to learn the sport and perform it with safety being the key element. You would be hard pressed to find a sweeter staff. They treat everyone who walks in the door like family.

My special needs daughter has been here 10 years. This is absolutely, hands-down the best place to send any child, especially those who β€œdon’t fit the mold” and struggle in group sports. Ryland, R2 and Lily work determinedly and generously to ensure all children can succeed. They are clear and concise in their expectations and safety guidelines and make every effort to support parents and students who might be struggling or need extra training or support. They are not only equipped but experienced in handling all situations, particularly those that can hard to handle. I cannot say enough about this gym. It is the safest environment for students to grow from safety, growth-mindset trained instructors and staff. With informed decisions and collaboration between staff, parents and students, this is one place to send your child and see them succeed. Go visit this gym!

We started at RVPK Gresham last year and it’s been a place my 6 year old waits all week for. He looks up to Ryland, the owner, as well as the other trainers. I’ve watched numerous classes and have seen them train kids of different ages and abilities. They are kind, encouraging and run it where they accommodate for the different skill levels. They make sure kids are safe and with that, have to be stern occasionally but in a loving/caring/respectful way. Never yelling or being disrespectful. As a parent, if my son isn't listening when he should be I expect for the trainers to call attention to that and hold him accountable. All they want is for them to be safe, have fun and learn to love parkour. Ryland and his wife Lily are wonderful, genuine people who care about their students and their families. I can’t recommend them enough and plan on giving them our business for years to come.

My kids have been going to RVPK for 5 years and we love them! The owners are wonderful and run a safe gym for all. They are quick to enforce policies that keep kids safe, even though it sometimes makes the kids mad. Safety is a high priority for them. It is a great workout and a fun place for all!

I have been bringing my children here for years. This family run business is wonderful. You will notice the healthy environment between the students and staff right away. I always feel that my children are receiving safe and ability-appropriate instruction from caring staff. They even ran free zoom classes during the pandemic. Love this place!

Amazing place to run around, have fun and get a workout. Had my daughters birthday there and Ryland and Lilly were awesome, all the kids had a blast and I would highly recommend it.

If you would like to learn parkour, this is a great, safe place to do so for all ages (5-105). The staff will work with everyone and make sure they have fun learning at their skill level. The foam pit is a blast to practice skills with less consequences. Once you are comfortable, they will help move those skills out onto the floor safely.

For anyone who is looking for a good workout, running around the gym, jumping over stuff and climbing up the walls is WAY more fun then running on the treadmill or sitting on a workout machine. Plus, I think it burns more calories if you are having fun :)

This is a great place for kids. My daughter has been coming here for years. The owner is very professional and structured with his courses. Classes teach respect of your peers, discipline, health and fitness. My child has ADHD and the owner has done a great job of redirecting her energy and keeping her focused in class.

Additionally the business is very community driven!

We appreciate what you do!

Attentive and caring staff, communicative, and safety oriented. It's unfortunate that disparaging reviews are being left as a result of one family's experience caused by their own lack of communication or ability to handle their own child's special needs.

My son has been going to Revolution Parkour Gresham for going on 4 years now, and it is his favorite place in the world. The owners and coaches are kind, encouraging, and share their love of the sport enthusiastically. They provide a place for kids to do the things they love- jumping off of things, climbing, etc. and teach them to do it safely. My son ends classes there tired, smiley, and sweaty. Um, yes please! 10/10 highly recommend!

We found RVPK during the Covid shutdown. We wanted a place for our 10 year old to be able to get physical activity. We quickly fell in love with the staff and the community of people that frequent the gym. It feels like we’re taking our son to see his aunt, uncle and cousins. The classes are lead by experienced instructors, teaching parkour techniques and how to safely execute them. RVPK also holds the most fun events like NERF wars and parent’s night out. They also have several camps that they put on to help hone in on specific interests. This is not just a place for kids. Adults can train here too!

We attended a birthday party here, not knowing what to expect. Never heard of this type of gym prior to the invitation. Once we arrived, we were instructed to fill out a liability form for our child and then read the list of rules. Nothing out of the ordinary. Kids ran around jumping on and off things, hanging on bars, and having fun. The gym spans 3 large semi bay-size doors that are opened to let air flow, cuz it was hot indoors and a bit of light as it was dark. Towards the end of the party, the kids had free time and were jumping into foam pits. The kids called me over to watch them. I walked outside to the farthest bay door and watched them jump in. Wasn't wearing my glasses, and couldn't see well, especially going from bright sunlight to dark gym. Anyway, my nephew picked up some pieces and wanted to show me what it was. I stepped about 2 steps inside the bay door to see inside better and was then going to take his picture. Instantly a teacher/attendant got in my face and said I could not step on the floor without a liability form filled out. It was literally about a minute that I was there on the edge of the bay door. What gets me is at the desk while we were filling out the liability form for our child, knowone mentioned anything about 'not stepping on the floor'. The gal with the stocking cap (in 83 degree weather) just gave us the tablet to fill out the form and a laminated rules form for our child to read. That was it. After being reprimanded for my error, I walked back around to the rest of the adult group. I then proceeded to tell my husband what happened, a private conversation, and the stocking cap gal butted in and had to reprimand me yet again with reasons why and accusations. That was a private conversation between just my husband and I in low hushed tones. Not intended for anyone else's ears yet she butted in. Unless I am talking to you, it is none of your business and rude to butt into a convo that wasn't directed to you or even about you.
This place has rules and regulations to follow, I understand that. What I don't agree with is how it was handled and the non-existent service the employees give.

Very good and nice people and they try very hard to get to know you well and become your friend,it takes not very many instructors to teach a class so the instructor that teaches your class or classes will soon become friends with you or close to it, but there are still some rules like no hands in pockets, no using knees to climb onto things and no sitting down. These are very good rules and every time you need water you can just get it very good and 10/10 still would come back again.

My sons have been coming to Revolution Parkour in Gresham for nearly two years, and our experiences have always been positive and memorable. Ryland and the (other) instructors challenge each participant while also making accommodations when our son or any participant has needed it. Our youngest is a spit fire, but he isn’t exactly tall. The instructors always adjust the height of an obstacle or give him an option to complete a set course. Our oldest has been given an amazing opportunity to participate in a variety of classes and even lead warm-ups or assist a bit. Further, the overall concepts of parkour and the rules of the gym have bled over into our boys’ outside lives: respect, perseverance, positivity, confidence. I recommend Revolution Parkour to people all of the time.

It's a fun place to go, has very friendly staff, and a ton of mats and platforms to trick and parkour on. I'm not thrilled about going back though because the price is higher than I like, the floor isn't super clean, which wouldn't be a problem if I wasn't a breakdancer. I can breakdance at home for cheap as free.
Totally recommend if you're into parkour or tricking.
