The Salem Personal Training and Speed Academy exists to help people make great, lifelong memories thanks to great fitness. My son has been doing speed training at Salem Speed Academy with Kyle for two months now. It has been an amazing experience. Kyle has a breadth of knowledge when it comes to coaching. He tailors workouts for the person’s goals and is not limited to speed and agility training (although he excels at this), but can also strength train people and help them achieve optimum functioning.
What I really appreciate is that Kyle will explain the “why” behind the exercises and programming and is very detail oriented to make sure you’re getting the best out of an exercise with proper form and will periodically do pre and post tests to assess progress more tangibly as well.
He is also someone with great character that I would want as a role model for my kid.

From the beginning having Kyle as my coach has been a very successful experience. Mostly due to the fact that he has very great creativity, and well structured planning. I got along with him very well simply, because he’s such a chill and kind person. He has a way of making hard tasking things fun and enjoyable. Every time Kyle and I did in person training I really loved talking to him and connecting. He always seemed to bring this happiness and words or encouragement that made completing workouts so much easier. Not just on the track Kyle has helped me, but also off. He has kept his word by helping me find good colleges to compete in. By reaching out to college coaches for me. Kyle is a very intelligent and understanding individual. As an athlete it is very important that you can communicate to your coach. Every time I have told Kyle how I feel about anything he is always open minded and prepared to hear out what you have to say. Kyle is the coach yes, but he understands the importance of listening to the athlete. This is what I found to be the most coolest thing about working with Kyle as a coach. I highly recommend Kyle if you’re looking for a coach who listens to the athlete. I've been training with Kyle for a little over a month now and couldn't recommend it more! He takes a genuine interest in his athletes and has tailored my training to be both sport/goal specific as well as continuing to modify my program to address my current imbalances.

I am a physical therapist that had the pleasure of working alongside him before, and would recommend my athletes go see him after treatment to bridge the gap between therapy and high performance sports. Kyle Davey is an amazing personal trainer! I did an internship with him while I was attending Corban University. As a student athlete, my schedule was all over the place, but Kyle was very flexible and made sure that I was able to come in to complete my hours. He taught me all sorts of things while I was there like how to set up the Free lap Pro BT112, how to use the Biodex machine to assess peak force output of each limb, and how to use the force plates. He also made it very fun for the athlete and for myself, as well. Not only was it fun, but he encourages athletes to perform to their fullest potential and encourages in a positive way! He was also my professor for one of my classes at Corban and he made the class so entertaining! I would always look forward to Tuesdays and Thursdays because of that class! My son started working with Kyle senior year after a few college offers.The goal was to elevate his ability and get ready for D1 athletics to make an immediate impact .He did just that, great measurable improvement in speed and power, my son showed up to fall camp very ready. Kyle also does a great job of over all movement and fitness for health and recovery during his trainings. Any offseason my son will continue to train with him as we have seen fantastic growth and have gotten great communication from Kyle . Highly recommend him.

My son has been twice to speed camp and has really enjoyed it both times. I was fascinated with this whole concept of proper technique in sprinting and running because my son is a left wing for the Capital FC 10B Red team, and I could see that this most definitely could help him. He was and is already very fast, but this added piece of taking off properly and really focusing on his stride is what has helped him to out-win his opponent and get the ball almost every time. Though, truthfully, it isn’t so much about winning the ball as it is that my son doesn’t need to be hurt and miss one or many of his games! It’s really both, right? He wants to win, but he also doesn’t want to hurt himself. So, along with speed camp, my son has been training with Kyle to be the best version of himself on that field that he needs to be. I highly recommend putting your kid in speed camp at Salem Speed Academy, and then take it a step further if you want more and seek out private training with Kyle. Amazing!!!

I recently did some training with Kyle here at Re to strengthen my hamstrings so I could run without pain in that area. Working with him to achieve this was a great way for me to fix my running form to be able to get faster! I wouldn’t have picked anywhere else to go to get the help I needed. Kyle filled in for us when we were in need of a Strength and Conditioning Coach. He programmed for our entire organization, from our 13 year olds all the way through our adult team. Thanks to the help of Kyle our under 16 team won the league championship, under 19 team went to the semi finals for the entire country of Germany and our adult team had a final record of 14-1 winning the CEFL Bowl (ranking us the #1 team in Europe) and making it to the German Championship Game. Kyle was always available for questions for all the players and was great in adjusting to the different schedules and demands of each team. We were very happy with the work he did for us. Highly recommend anyone wanting to improve as an athlete and get bigger, stronger, faster to work with Kyle!

My daughter was fast before she had a few huge growth spurt. When her legs and arms became too long to handle without proper technique she became the slowest one on all of her teams. During the speed camp she learned exactly what to do with them along with so much more. She was afraid it was going to be 3 hours of straight running and was not looking forward to it but as soon as she got in the car she was begging to be signed up for the next camp! Kyle made it fun and exciting. The meal that was provided was fantastic. The camp exceeded my expectations and was worth every penny!!!!

My 9 year old had a rough 1st day. Coaches and staff were encouraging and motivating him the whole time. He pushed through and was able to finish out the day. The 2nd day he came back and surprisingly jumped back out there with the rest of the kiddos. Kyle and Ty worked with all the kids to improve their skills and techniques. They also made it fun for them with lots of laughs and good competition.
