I was a member of this gym for 5 months and consistently felt uncomfortable and unsafe. Several men would leer, follow me, watch me walk home, and time their arrival and departure to match mine. One of these members now watches me while I'm on my patio. Even my daughter noticed this pervasive behavior on the one occasion she visited.

I reported this to the management, who confirmed this behavior definitely exists at this club. My reporting offered no results, just a change in staff behavior towards me. I was also told by a staff member that many of the female members were referred to as 'Karens'.

The management told me that I 'stand out' and asked if I speak with these men, as if somehow this was my fault. When I reported this to higher management, I was told that I was just 'getting attention' and they admitted that approximately 5% of their 12,000 members fall into this dysfunctional category and that they recently had to kick a member out due to inappropriate behavior. That’s quite a few people. I was also told that this behavior towards me was hard to qualify, since I wasn't touched or verbally abused. He said they cannot police everything and encouraged me to ‘handle it myself, since we're all adults’.

I did speak with a police officer who encouraged me to file a report at the station. He also told me that my documentation of license plates within the parking lot is not only a good idea, but is well within my rights.

Additionally, I was injured on a piece of improperly maintained equipment and wound up in the ER. The email response from management was unapologetic and stated they would see to getting it repaired, although he didn't understand the nature of his own machines.

I ultimately quit because I didn't feel safe at all or even supported. I want others to know that while this may seem subtle, it's real, it's stalking and harassment, and complicity by staff.

On a last note, the day I went into the lobby to cancel my membership, there was a man with no shirt, women in bikinis, see through wraps, and flip flops like a cheap beach club. All policy violations from the signs I've seen, and no intervention. Certainly not a place I'd take a child, let alone my adult children.

And to the men who think it's ok to stare and stalk, it's not, but it's allowed at this club.

I joined VillaSport about 10 months ago after searching for a gym where I could take my ACL rehab and strength training seriously. I have been very happy with the gym so far and I believe VS is good value for the money. The facilities are clean and they have an excellent selection of equipment and classes for members. Their pools, sauna and steam room are great for relaxing after a solid workout.

The staff are friendly and helpful. I’d like to give a particular shout out to Personal Trainer, Matt Antinucci, who I have trained with consistently since I joined. I began training with Matt just a few months after having ACL and meniscus surgery with a goal of getting my strength back and returning to sports. Matt is knowledgeable, passionate, and an overall great person. I would highly recommend working with him if you’re looking a great personal trainer! He helped me hit my goals and I look forward to continuing my fitness journey at VillaSport.

VillaSport Athletic Club and Spa is truly in a league of its own. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted with a sense of luxury, cleanliness, and community that’s unmatched anywhere else in the Pacific Northwest. The facility is immaculate — spacious workout areas, top-of-the-line equipment, and a wide variety of classes that fit every fitness level and interest.

What really sets VillaSport apart is the atmosphere. The staff are always professional, friendly, and genuinely invested in your experience. Whether you’re hitting the weights, joining a group class, swimming laps, or just relaxing by the pool, every part of your visit feels intentional and elevated.

The spa is pure bliss — the perfect way to unwind after a workout or simply treat yourself. The amenities, from the steam room and sauna to the whirlpools and serene relaxation areas, make it feel like a five-star resort rather than just a gym.

VillaSport isn’t just a fitness club; it’s a place where wellness, luxury, and community come together. It’s hands down the best gym and spa in the Pacific Northwest!

I’ve been a member at VillaSport for almost eight years, and it’s been an amazing experience from day one. The facilities are top-notch, always clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere is welcoming and motivating.

At the Beaverton club, I want to give a special shout-out to Elijah and Courtney. While I’ve never trained with them directly, they always greet me with warmth, encouragement, and genuine kindness. Their welcoming energy creates a true sense of community and belonging, which makes coming to the gym something I look forward to.

Recently, I had a membership freeze at the Beaverton club, and I’d like to recognize Robert Beaird, Concierge Lead from the Houston club, who stepped in to help me. Robert went above and beyond to review my account, explain the details clearly, and resolve the issue quickly and fairly. His proactive communication and professionalism turned what could have been a frustrating situation into a positive experience.

This is exactly why I’ve stayed with VillaSport for so many years—amazing facilities paired with outstanding team members who genuinely care about the people they serve. Huge thanks to Elijah, Courtney, Robert, and the entire VillaSport team for making this place feel like so much more than just a gym.

I joined this facility with my 2 year old son. I was really excited at first after doing the tour and falling in love with the cleanliness, beauty, and diversity of the studios, equipment, aquatics, and more. However, after a few months I realized the hype wasn't what I thought at all. I think the thing that led us to leave in the end was the energy of the facility overall. The person who sold me my membership was bubbly, outgoing, kind and personable. After becoming a member and paying the enrollment fee and everything else, I would smile at the "membership ambassador" that sold me my membership and they wouldn't even give a wave or a nod or smile or anything. When enrolling, I got the impression that there was kind of a community feel and good energy about the place but after showing up over and over, I thought a lot of the employees were actually kind of rude and the energy was a bit off putting. No one looks anyone in the eyes unless they are trying to sell you something. It feels like a gym trying too hard to be a country club.

I would like to also add that I never put my son in the child care there. I was excited about it at first and it was a main point of me joining that gym in the first place. However, no one let me look at the childcare zone or see where my child would be watched. I asked the person giving me my tour, and he said I wasn't allowed to see it during childcare hours. I understood that, because there were other people's kids in there and they didn't want random people walking around. But when I asked the childwatch team if I could tour the childcare area outside of childcare hours, I was told no. I wasn't about to send my 2 year old into an area I hadn't seen first and wasn't allowed inside of? The one time I looked at the camera screen to see what it was like, I saw one of the employees organizing a shelf with her back turned and two toddlers tugging on a toy back and forth and fighting. It was a no from me.

To sum it up, I feel like the Villa is overrated. I found a new gym that might have less amenities but when I walk in, the people that work there are excited to see me, encourage me, and support me without trying to sell me anything. I already made friends since joining my new gym and its open 24 hours and has way more affordable personal training.

My recommendation would be to shop around before investing at the Villa.

The club is great for people without young kids.
With its new kids club policy, it stopped being a great place for families.
You can’t reserve the kids club in advance, and if you arrive for a class and there’s no space, they don’t do anything to make room for your child. They just put you on a waiting list for an hour later.
I canceled my membership — such a shame.

Like the adult pool with lap lanes. Large slides for the kids and separate lap lanes for lessons. Outside hot tub that separates family side, make it nice to relax after your working day. Separate women's, men's, and family locker rooms with shampoos, conditioner, lotions, towels, and hair dryers. Spa was shut down during CoVid and short of staff, glad it's opening up. Love the trainers especially Stacey, she is full of energy, compassionate, and special (Thank you for making the class challenging).

June 2022.... Facility needs some updates and things are breaking down such as the sink faucets, shower tiles, hot tub tiles are coming apart. They are short staff and unfortunately some members leave used towels (such as in the shower stalls)....come on be respectful and clean up after yourself!
Equipments are wearing out.

***Longtime customer who moved out of state and needed to cancel membership***

We moved out of state to one that does not have a Villasport. We were so focused on getting our family relocated that the literal last thing we did was think about canceling our membership.

I called for a second time (after no call backs) and finally got a live person who explained to me that the ONLY WAY THEY CANCEL IS IN PERSON OR THRU CERTIFIED LETTER. What in the world?!? I escalated to a manager whose response was that they are basically doing us a favor by allowing us to cancel via email but that I would be subject to an administrative fee and would take 30-days (another monthly fee) to take affect.

This is particularly hard because I am a customer who PAID CLUB FEES during COVID quarantine to help the business stay afloat, despite not being able to workout.

This seriously feels like a whistles blowing / class action lawsuit waiting to happen.

Club goers, beware!

9/8/2025 update: I literally cannot get a single return phone call from anyone at Villa. I even have an outstanding email inquiry with their billing department from over a week ago, with no response. After being notified my card was declined (card was compromised), I found out today that they took the card my husband paid with last month and re-ran it. So, in addition to being charged a late fee, Villa went ahead and found a prior month's card and charged it. I did not authorize this, but if I had, I should not have been charged a late fee because, early, they have a card on file. I had to track down the new general manager and message him on LinkedIn in hopes someone will call me.

Top-tier staff! Shout out to head management for making excellent hiring choices. The unsung maintenance staff is consistently working hard and polite behind the scenes. Never heard them complain. The Villa Kids staff as well. Always a positive experience. Also, that kid/young adult that runs the basketball court. What a stud. Never a fight on the court, managed well, and he runs the whole thing. Great job. Shout out to the swim staff too and all the lifeguards. Their patience is unyielding. Awesome café team too.
(S) “Javelin”—I can’t wait to see (S) “Javelin” promoted into next-level management. Always smiling and making sure rules are followed. (S) “Javelin”—sometimes will even ask you how your day is. What a wonderful addition to the team, and she’s wonderful to see around the club. Things are being handled professionally with the upmost grace. A star!
(M)—Wow, what a smile. Her infectious go-getter attitude makes you happy to come to the club. Always happy to help, and she’s really a team player. Always asks how I am as well, and you know what? I’m wonderful.
(Z)- Easygoing and always on top of things. Someone who could easily put “Improves Customer Satisfaction” on her resume, and she’s listened to a few of my ideas and is always helpful. Boss Aura and is great at her job. Certainly, a born leader.
(J)-Time Management- Have you ever seen someone always on the go getting the job done? She’s always busy doing the right thing. Positive attitude and excellent work ethic. Absolute workhorse, and I’m certain one of the most dependable employee hires there.
(L)- Whose idea was it to put her upfront or hire her? Interpersonal skills are off the charts. "Optimistic," "helpful," and "polite" are just a few words that describe this dynamo hire. What a blessing.
(S)-Courtesy & Charm. Always chipper and happy, it seems. Another excellent addition to the team. Manners out of this world.
(E)- Usually outside running the café. I’d made a couple wrong orders, and she takes care of it. Handles things outside like a winner. Says no problem, and boom, it’s fixed. Talk about a benefit to the outside team. Her service and support to the outside folks have been exemplary. Accommodating and deserves all the hype.
(C)- What a stud. Always looking great and maintaining a serious but calm demeanor. Helpful front staff and always a great help. Future management potential.
(T)- Hard worker. I’ve seen him by the pool, up front, and doing whatever it takes to get the job done. Diligent and persistent effort to stay busy and an obviously dedicated person. I must scream his name every time I see him, as it’s deserving.
(M-Ton) This young adult cleans, helps, and straightens up. Will politely remind you of a wrongdoing and not make you feel bad about it. Really good character and pleasant to see around. Friendly, obliging, and thoughtful in every action he takes.

Z(ck) This bright gentleman is a reader of a great book. His recent reminder that he reads keeps me motivated to keep going. This guy is brilliant and one to take heed and listen to. More than some guy that shows up at work but an example positive enlightenment.

5 stars. However, it’s like your cell phone carrier in one way. Long-time clients don’t get any perks other than ways to spend their money. If the staff wasn’t so great, I’d investigate other options because as a member outside the people working here, you’d look for other services. Sure, it’s an exchange of services for money, food, and weights/classes/pool, but there’s nothing management has done to make me say, “Wow, they really value my business.” The staff does this, but I’d need extra effort not to drive down the street to Lifetime eventually. PS-Shout out to the rest of staff I see and didn’t mention in code.

I’ve been a member of VillaSport for over 7 years, and it continues to be one of the best investments I’ve made for my health and well-being. The facilities are always clean, spacious, and well-maintained, but the true heart of this gym is the staff, especially the incredible yoga instructors.

Sara, Louis, and Brittany have each brought so much knowledge, encouragement, and positive energy into their classes. Whether it’s a challenging flow or a restorative session, they create a welcoming and supportive environment for all levels. Their passion for yoga and for their students truly shines through, and I’ve grown so much in my practice because of them. They also offer sound baths!

I also really appreciate the administrative team, specifically Courtney, who is always welcoming and goes above and beyond to help us members feel valued ☺️

My girls attended the preschool camp this summer and absolutely loved it. Teacher Yuko and Maggee seemed to have kept them busy and engaged the entire time; they came home each day with a different craft and exhausted!! Too many children EVERYWHERE, I can't even walk in there without almost taking one out on accident. Is this a facility for kids or adults? I pay an outrageous amount of money here and I feel the catering for the children is getting out of control this year. Is there any incentive for childless adults just trying to be fit and relax in a clean environment anymore??

For the price it’s not worth it. My mom takes my son here to swim and the water features don’t start until 11:30- most kids 5 and under are eating lunch and napping so that’s not really fair to them and being that we live in Oregon City we shouldn’t have to come back out in the afternoon to use the water slides. You would think they would turn them on at 10 if anything. Also we came on Saturday because my son really wanted to use the water slide but it wasn’t open because they didn’t have enough staff so just a waste of time and money because this is literally the only reason we pay the monthly membership and now have to pay to cancel it. Don’t take your kids here for swimming only, huge waste of money.

When I joined VillaSport about a year after the club opened. It was an exceptional place to attend my water aerobics classes. We could utilize the outdoor rec pool and enjoy the sun in warm water. Classes were offered every weekday.

Now, we can only use the indoor rec pool or the outdoor adult lap pool. The adult lap pool is kept at low temperatures for the lap swimmers. While the rec pool is basically empty at that time in the morning. Aqua exercise classes should be done in 85 degree water for optimum workout. The aqua classes our treated like they are an annoyance without considering the needs of the class.

I joined Villa for its great pool and family friendly vibe, however it has been hard to go after having a second baby. Its also over $70 to add the baby to our family account, which seems excessive. I was very disappointed that they make it so hard to cancel our membership, requiring that we come in person to cancel. I think this is a terrible business practice and they have lost by business in the future.
Additionally, I share the concerns that another reviewer mentioned of inadequate lifegaurd presence. The only times I have even seen a lifegaurd at poolside is when the pool is very full in the summer or some weekends. And then they require that the lifeguards take breaks so you have to get out of the pool every hour I think for 5 min.
Otherwise the pools are nice, the hot tubs are great, the women's locker room is beautiful and the family locker room is functional (although the showers need better lights). The fitness classes with Stacey are excellent and the yoga classes vary from very bad to decent.

Big fan of this gym. I have kids and have been able to utilize the kids club. My son is pretty shy but always talks about how he enjoys it and wants to go back. The upstairs weight facility is spaced out well to where when I've gone during busier hours I was still able to get to all the equipment I needed. Also no broken equipment is nice. I did the complimentary training session with Cassidy as well who is an awesome trainer. All the staff have been friendly. Clean locker rooms and outdoor pool area as well. I highly recommend.

I’m very disappointed with VillaSport’s customer service. After receiving a fine due to a one-day payment issue, I reached out multiple times to discuss it but never received any response. Instead, my account was charged without any acknowledgment of my concerns.

As a long-time member, it’s disheartening to feel ignored, especially when there have been several occasions where the center’s services were unavailable for days or even weeks. This lack of communication and consideration for members does not reflect the level of care one would expect from a facility that promotes fitness, and community.

Looking at other Google reviews, it is obvious this center is losing it.

About 2 weeks ago, me and my family were swimming in the outdoor pools and we had a sad experience. A group of 5 to 6 lifeguards was standing behind me and my sister and my daughter, and one of the lifeguards flung a flip-flop at my sister‘s head. At first, it was obvious that it was an accident, but then every single lifeguard proceeded to laugh at my sister. Not only was my sister‘s head really hurt, we were also embarrassed, and my sister‘s feelings were hurt tremendously by the laughter of the lifeguards. My sister cried when we got to the car and is scared to return..

My family has been members of VillaSport for many years. We love to go there several times a week. VillaSport has great instructors for group lessons. The big screen and equipment at the riding class are wonderful. My son likes the basketball court and the training machines. My husband and I love the adult lounges. The pools are great especially in summer. This gym is suitable for the entire family. Everyone can find something to do here.

The place is nice and big, very clean, but the staff are very rude. I went in there because I have a gym pass through work, and I wanted to see if it was accepted. The man working there looked at me and looked at the paper with the membership and rudely said, no we don't take that kind of insurance, This is a Luxury Spa. I have never felt so disrespected or out of place at any gym. I definitely was offended. This is not ok.

I enjoyed my time at VillaSport Beaverton—the facilities are top-notch, with great pools, and a family-friendly atmosphere. The staff was always welcoming and the club’s amenities made it feel like a retreat experience every time. Unfortunately, I had to end my membership due to some personal financial hardship. However, I couldn’t recommend them more! 🎉 🙂 The membership supervisor (Z) was above and beyond understanding and kind. God Bless VillaSports.

We absolutely love Villa Sport in Beaverton for our kid's swimming lessons! The pools are great, always clean and the perfect temperature. But the instructors are the real stars – they're so patient and really know how to make learning to swim fun. It's been such a positive experience for our child, and we've seen amazing progress. Definitely recommend it!

Do not join this gym. They do not communicate with customers and they gouge you for money at every turn. I had a fiit session with a personal trainer and was injured by the trainer's exercises. I was unable to use my foot and couldn't go to any sessions. I tried for weeks to get ahold of anyone at the gym to help with this issue and to get a different trainer and a modified exercise program. I finally got a hold of the director and was promised he took full responsibility and would help. I am still injured and upset about the experience so cannot work out so I requested to cancel my personal training and membership. I still had to pay for the month of personal training that I never even had one session, plus another month of gym membership. They do not care about their customers at all

Updated 2025: The issue with worms in the showers has been ongoing for over a year. I've reported these pests to the staff numerous times, but Villa either can't fix the problem, or simply won't. This is disgusting, and I've stopped using their showers unless absolutely necessary.

Original:
Overall great experience until you need to make changes to your account.
Then it can drive you crazy: their app doesn't work, their website doesn't work/doesn't show all the info on your account, it's impossible to get somebody on the phone, and when you go in person - kids at the service desk most likely won't know anything, and the manager "just stepped away".

Therefore just two stars

Happy with my membership and the amenities! The greeters at the front desk have literally brightened my day before. However, management seems to miss some basic things, like multiple areas without sanitizing wipes in the gym when it's busy, lack of towels in the whirlpool area, and the months it took to get some sort of non slip pad in front of the steam room. The women's whirlpool lounge could maximize space better; it can be busy enough that the eight loungers are full, so I wish they'd consider cubbies or regular chairs so all members could have space to set their things down. The gym equipment and the classes are amazing!! Far superior to the gym I was at previously. You can view and book classes in the app. Everything from immersive experience cycling to family classes and sound baths - a large variety of options.

Instances of pool closures without a heads up. Otherwise, I like the faculty. Be careful signing up. I needed to cancel due to an unexpected move. There was literally no information on how to cancel. Easy for them to get your money but canceling process is convoluted without a clear concise statement on how to cancel. No way to cancel on the app. Online, it says you have to write a letter and mail it which is ridiculous. I then froze my account for which they charge you a fee to freeze. After months of trying to call them, I was finally able to get a hold of someone via the phone who then proceeded to tell me I needed to cancel in person at the location. Imagine if I moved across the country! Luckily I moved to a different city but could drive down though this place was now way out of my way. As if this process was not enough, finally cancelling in person to only be told I needed to wait another month during which time they will charge another freeze fee then charge a cancellation fee of $85. essentially they would have charged a total $145 to cancel. This is wrong for a business to do this.

I started working out in late 2024 and belonged to a traditional fitness center, but I wanted something more--something that would incentivize me to go more frequently. VillaSport provided exactly that.

I frequent the spa and Rachael always welcomes me with a smile, remembers my name, and is great to work with. I have had the pleasure of working with Judie several times. She delivers excellent services while answering my questions, educating me on skincare, and creating a relaxing environment during my facials. Both massages I've had at the spa have been fantastic. Most recently, I met with Richard after a workout, and he not only provided a great massage but also helped me understand how massage supports my fitness goals. I look forward to seeing him again.

Because I feel comfortable at VillaSport, I decided to move forward with personal training. After speaking with a few great team members, I was connected with Matt. He has been everything I needed and more--patient, knowledgeable, a great communicator, and, most importantly, someone who makes me feel at ease in a new environment.

The facilities are managed extremely well and appropriately for the membership fees. Very clean: hot-tubs, pools, steam room, saunas, showers, locker rooms and bathrooms, I am confident they have a stellar facilities team! We recently had a snow storm, the sidewalks and parking lot was appropriately maintained- way to be!

Thank you, Villa Team! Your exceptional customer service makes it that much easier to show up and put in the work.

SCAMMERS!! DO NOT GO HERE!!
I tried to freeze my account because I wasn't using it for a few months. Their site says you can freeze your membership for $15 a month. As I had a year contract I decided to freeze it to not pay the ridiculous month rate of $142. The people that pop up to sell you a membership online when you go on their site messaged me while I was freezing my account. I asked the woman through their customer service if I froze it would I only be paying $15 a month from now on and she assured me I would be. NO! I was charged multiple pro rates and multiple "freeze fee's" for $25 where it doesn't tell you any of this on their site. So I still ended up paying $170 for two months when I froze it and didnt go one day. I was very upset about this after emailing them and being told that this is how they do it even when their customer service agent assured me otherwise! I went in to cancel my membership after this because again I wasn't using the club and its a small fortune for a gym!! I was assured by management that there would be no more fee's and that it was cancelled. I was just charged another $103 today for an early termination fee and another pro rate!!!! They said it wasn't a full year because it was frozen for a month. I was lied to by management and their customer service costing me $273. They refuse to credit back any money after telling them everything that happened! This place is rude and a complete waste of money! I will not be returning and taking my business to life line the new athletic club down the street, hopefully they will take care of and appreciate their members and the large amount of money we spend to go there when there are so many other options to choose from. Don't make the mistake I did. Go where you and your hard earned money are appreciated.

i like this gym, but honestly don’t know why the basketball courts are the way they are. There are always at least 2-3 hoops that are lowered down to 8 feet, which i guess is for kids or grown ups who just like to play on lowered hoops? Like they have a whole separate gym just for kids, why do you have to lower the hoops in the gym that everyone uses so that we can only shoot on 3 of them? What if people want to play on the side hoops? But i digress.

Absolutely horrible and terrifying experience for us as a family with 2 kids. While the swim team hear is great and basically the only reason we attend the facility there are issues making us want to leave the place for the good. Dirty, poorly maintained family locker room. The hot tub which kids can use to warm after practice in the outside pool is not functioning for few weeks and they keep shifting the deadline. The hot tub in the “adult” area is closed to the kids (while adults have two more hot tubs inside) so critical recovery is just out of reach for the kids. Not enough space for the kids to take a warm shower in the family locker rooms as the hot tub is closed and everybody rushes to the shower to try and warm their kids. Experienced unprecedented level of ignorance and unacceptable behavior from staff when took my kid to the adult only women locker room to shower her in warm water as she was so cold she could not even breath. Staff scared her to death by following us, talking to me and trying to tell me I should not be there with my kid. Very sad to leave the team where my kids started training in September but overall this space is absolutely and deeply not family friendly.

Service and place is good as long as you don’t run into issues. In our case they charged us $25 late payment fee for no fault of ours. We are still fighting that and have not gotten it refunded yet. Also the group class instructors don’t seem to mark attendance properly and we also get warning and future charges of no show fee even though we attended the classes that we registered for.

Buyer beware and if you are willing to keep giving money every month without making any changes this club is good for you. Just be cautioned that any changes you make will cause potential extra unnecessary and unneeded charges that you will either have to live with or go through hell to get it back.

UPDATE: WE were able to get helpful support from Kiara from the Concierge clarifying the charges and confirming that the incorrect $25 late fee was indeed correctly processed and was not charged to my bank account to begin with. The way the details are showing up in the account was confusing enough that made us think we were charged that amount, but, Kiara clarified it's just the way the refund was accounted for. I wish the system were transparent enough without confusing the customers. But, my shoutout to Kiara for being very patient and ultra helpful.. Thanks again! I've updated the rating appropriately - the 1 less star is to urge Villa Sport to improve their processes further - including ensuring teachers give attendance credit correctly.

I joined in June 2024 and bought 2 swim packages for myself and son. After weeks emailing to schedule swim lessons the club said they are full for the summer. Yet, they oversold and had no problem collecting member's money. After 3 months of emailing management with no reply, I was told that it's non-refundable and they also charged me for a chargeback + late fee even though I am no longer part of the club. There is zero customer service when dealing with the billing department, aquatics office, or corporate office. The way they are conducting business will soon drive them out of business here in Beaverton. I am taking my family elsewhere and I wish the staff at Villa would take their careers elsewhere as well.

The highlighted features are commonly broke, i.e. steam room has been down well over a month in the women’s locker room. This is after it had recently been down a few weeks prior for multiple days. For the cost of membership, there is zero regard for members who pay a lot of money for these amenities. Unfortunately having conversations with the leadership personnel progressed nowhere and there wasn't an attempt to resolve my experience.

Cons: The indoor swimming pool play feature is closed a majority of the time. Every time we go it's closed for years now.

**The outdoor kids play features are off a majority of the time too. There's always a reason yet it's been years.

**It's a let down to my child and the parents we speak with at the facility.

**The steam room is often out of order this time it's been nearly a month.

**Yes the lockers act up at times

**Prices for food and drinks are incredibly high.

For $179/mo for my child and I this is a pretty big let down.

Pros:
- Friendly ladies on staff downstairs.
-Childcare is nice.
-yoga class is Awesome

Schedule swimming lessons online, only to show up at the pool with no staff member assigned to it. Visit the front desk, only to have them say that scheduling online “doesn’t work”. Repeatedly visit the front desk to ask for someone to contact you for scheduling, only to receive no contact.

To be clear, this is not a luxury facility, by any stretch of the imagination. A stack of clean towels does not equate to luxury. Everything else is neglected. This company, or perhaps this location, focuses too much on the top of the funnel, and everything below it suffers.

After feeding them hundreds per month for our family’s membership and having issues with their pool lessons, we stopped payments to them. Eventually, we thought we’d try again, but their management wanted back payments for the stopped months, plus an enrollment fee—even though we stopped using the facilities coinciding with stopped payments, and even though they repeatedly failed to deliver on swim lessons we paid separately for.

How about some accountability and an apology instead? Nope—there are too many unsuspecting incoming enrollees for that kind of thing.

If nothing else sways them, perhaps eventually the negative reviews seemingly gaining some momentum will.

Today was my 3rd day after joining Villa Sport.
First day, I had my stuff locked out for two times. Both lockers are faulty. I had to call the person who can open the lockers. Please fix your combination lockers.
2nd day, I went there for the stretch yoga and sound bath which was good and I enjoyed it.
3rd day – I had an appointment with the fitness trainer to discuss and show me around. I expected at least 30 minutes out of the hour that they gave me will used for me to learn about machines and some workout that I can do. It was a total disappointment. First, she talked to me about eating habits and once she heard that I am a healthy eater, she did my In Body measurements. This lasted another 10 minutes and then she started promoting her fitness plan. When I told her that I am not interested in getting that, she sounded disappointed. However, by this time, she wasted almost 45 minutes of my time already. We walked into the fitness room where she was going to show me what to do. When I told her that I would like to lose at least 10 lbs and some fat in my abdominal area, she told me basically that I do not have to do any exercise and just control it with meals. I wanted to ask her if she meant for me to quit their gym.
Anyway, she told me to use the sponge roller which she did not explain how to use and when I asked what it is, she showed me the roller and told me that I will have to use it. I had to specifically ask her to show me how to use it and then only she was willing to show me how to use it. According to her, I should not use any group lessons or other things and I am wondering if this fitness club is shooting on their own foot by discouraging people to use their machines or group classes. Also, when you give a trainer, at least tell them that they have to show how to use some machines and what to do without just trying to promote other programs within to gain more money. People will stay with your club if you give them a good program to workout. Not trying to push your agenda of selling more and more things. Very disappointed and will see how it is going to workout in the next couple of months.

This place was great a few years ago but, they clearly have no cap on members. Where other "luxury" type of clubs have things like waiting lists, Villa seems to add 50 new members and entire families every day. It is now at the point where you could go at 11 in the morning on a Tuesday and it's absolutely filled to the brim.

Every hour of every day is 100% full and weekends are way way way over full ( you could wait around all day and not get a chance to swim in any of the four pools.) Every single year they seem to aim at maximizing profits and not comfort.

You pay a lot of money to go here, but rarely get the chance to enjoy any of the amenities.

Very annoying that they just continue to accept new members into infinity.

If you’re considering joining, I’m a current member with some insight. First, if the free guest passes are the deciding factor for you, don’t join, because it’s likely you won’t be able to ever use the free passes. Long story short, VS uses the free passes to expand their marketing reach, not as a perk for members. Literally every time I’ve tried to use a free pass, they’ve told me there’s a problem. They have no interest in sticking to their promises, they only care about rules that never seem to do anything but limit the use of free passes. Second, the men’s locker room is never clean. Despite workers passing through basically all the time, there are always towels all over the place, on the floors, in the showers, etc. The soap and shampoo dispensers in the showers are often empty or broken, too. The club could do more to keep the facilities clean and orderly, but they don’t seem to care, so day, night, and all times in between, it’s always a mess. Third, something is always broken or closed: a pool, a hot tub, a sauna or stream room, it’s always something. When you pay for facilities those facilities should always be available. Again, management doesn’t seem to care enough to make sure things are typically open and working. Fourth, much of the staff is polite, friendly, and working well, but you can count on dealing with someone basically every time you come in that’s rude, dismissive, disrespectful, or who basically just doesn’t give a single care for you or your concerns. Simple questions are laughed off and go unanswered, and simple requests are routinely ignored. If I hadn’t already joined, I’d quit, so please think about cheaper options before signing up.

Going on Month 4 of this club. Joined due to their 2hr childcare add on. As a family of 3 we pay $252 a month and were able to get a few guest passes loaded in when signing up. Most of the cons for this place do revolve around their family amenities

Pros
- large weight area
- free weights are spread throughout
-great classes from Pilates, barre, yoga. Zumba
- women have their own steam room / sauna / hot tub area for 18+
-outdoor adult only area (have yet to try drinks / food)
- plenty of treadmills / stair steppers / overall machinery there’s typically only a wait for a bench in the free weights area

Cons
-Staff does not allow for nursing mothers to use the women’s locker room sitting area. I was actively breastfeeding when a female worker told me I had to leave the women’s locker room and use the family room.
- there is only one nursing room in the family locker room which is windowless, and is barely enough room for the door to open and close. To this I was told that I could use the changing rooms to nurse. These are usually always filthy and/or covered in water from kids leaving the pool area
-Villa kids infant room staff does not report times for diaper changes / feedings / naps so we’re not sure if they do log these items
- Villakids staff will remove items from diaper bags and not place them back inside so you have to continuously search the lost and found.
- Their app is not very user friendly and crashes pretty often
- Villakids staff rarely pickup the phone. However if you call the front desk they pickup quickly and will transfer you to a Villa kid staff member as they share the same front counter. But why won’t Villa kids just pickup? Who knows. Super annoying.
- Villakids have an Inadequate number of staff in the infant childcare multiple times. Oregon law ratio is 4:1 and we’ve seen 5:1 multiple times.
-Family locker room has outdated / old / ripped furniture while the men and women’s facilities have been updated.
- tends to be a long waitlist for kids 3+ Friday-Sundays. If you have a kid under 2 and over 3 this would be difficult in getting them both to be watched within the same 2 hrs block.

Nice to lay by the pool on the grown-up side during summer, feels like a mini vacation to a beach on Mexico. Cocktails are not very good, you can get the random good drink but often the proportions are all mixed up (not the amount of alcohol, the proportions themselves). Food could use some improvement, especially for those with allergies. But laying by the pool is a relaxing way to spend a summer evening.

I love working out here. All the amenities you want and more for a fair price.

There is a long list of issues I could list, but the summary is you don’t get much for your money over less expensive gyms. Basically you are paying for the privilege of a less crowded gym, and access to a pool, and a couple specialty pieces of equipment. Otherwise it’s not great.

I’ll note that I’d give 2 stars if it weren’t for some really disappointing issues that were a real turn off: 1.) I’ve never been in a worse smelling locker room. Not sure what died and rotted in someone’s locker but man was it gross. 2.) somehow the AC never was working. Not that I need perfect temp in a gym but I overheard employees complaining and it’s just tacky - you sweat more and then the equipment gets gross a lot faster. 3.) general lack of cleanliness - I’ve seen numerous objects floating in the jacuzzi’s for instance. 4.) only 1 water fountain in the whole place. They put out a couple of those office style water coolers but it just doesn’t make you feel classy. 5.) Other weird decisions with the layout. For instance almost 1/3 of the building is dedicated to a huge waiting area. Why? Why not add a running track or more rooms for classes? Makes no sense.

Again - the above complaints wouldn’t be so big a deal if you weren’t paying so much per month. Not that it’s a lot for a rich person, but then again if you can afford that rate like me then you probably agree with my comments because part of having money is having high standards.

We were members here for 2-3 years, initially because they had (maybe still have) the best swimming lesson program in town for kids. All the teachers who taught our son were terrific. The facilities are great, though you can see for yourself if they work for you by taking a tour or trying a day session. The staff were always friendly, easy to access and helpful - both within the workout/play areas and everyone we dealt with in the office/membership area. We had a billing issue once - due entirely to our own mistake - and the manager solved it for us immediately. We only ended up leaving because we’re in outer SE Portland and our weekday schedules couldn't accommodate the drive, although on weekends. the drive is just fine (only about 15-20 minutes). If you’re looking around at clubs to join, you should at least put this one on your list and take a tour - if we lived a little closer, we’d stay for sure.

I’ve been a member since they opened and have seen this club go steadily downhill. Was there just today, ladies locker room was filthy, mold in the showers, dirt and gobs of hair in the floor, just disgusting. I’ve complained to staff but nothing changes.

It was the worst experience I had for taking my kids BD party over there. They didn’t organize anything ahead. They changed any rules that they offered before. They charged me more than we talked and they didn’t take care of it after the party. They supposed to provide cutlery as they offered but they didn’t. We had to go for it and they were so slow to provide it. I scheduled for a yoga and they informed me just before party started that the yoga must be held in upstairs which wasn’t discussed before and wasn’t applicable for us to go and back with some of kids, we had to cancel it and we agreed to cancel it but surprisingly they have charged me for that and refused to refund .I don’t recommend it to anyone at all.
