We offer group Reformer, Tower, Combo classes (Reformer, Tower, Mat), Pilates Mat, and Prenatal Pilates classes. We are also proud to offer a Pilates Mat as well as a Full Apparatus Certification for those looking to become certified Pilates instructors.

I cannot say enough good things about 5 Springs Pilates and the owner/instructor, Mary! I have done mat Pilates in the past but was interested in working on the reformer. I tried out a few different studios in the area to see what would be the best fit for me and immediately knew 5 Springs was it after my first class.The studio is beautiful, clean and bright. The class sizes are small so you get that one on one attention, even in a group class. Everyone is so welcoming, especially Mary. She is upbeat, positive, knowledgeable and very encouraging. Everything you would want in an instructor and studio! Love 5 Springs Pilates!

Exactly what State College needed! I’ve lived in a bunch of major cities, and Mary is by far the best Pilates teacher I’ve ever had. So accommodating, welcoming, and the class goes so fast while being an amazing workout! I love all the classes!!

I just moved to State College from Texas, and I am very impressed with Mary as an instructor and her studio. I am nearly finished with my instructor training, and I practice 4-5 days per week so I'm serious about my Pilates. Here are the things that really standout:

-Mary is extremely knowledgeable and attentive to students.
-Group classes are small enough that you get personal attention.
-She offers more than Reformer. There's Mat and Tower too.
-Her studio has all the Pilates apparatuses.

Other things that are nice:
-Plenty of free parking.
-Competitive pricing and package discounts.
-Welcoming, body-positive environment.

I’ve been working with Mary for 6 years through several pregnancies and postpartums. Before working with her, I really struggled with lower back pain with my first child to the point I could walk without being in pain in the last trimester. When I found Mary, she diagnosed the problem and targeted my hips and core to stabilize my joints and reduce pain. She continued to train me through pain free pregnancies where I was able to stay active without any pain. After 4 pregnancies and natural deliveries she has helped me to keep my pelvic floor strong and stable. I have no pain or functional issues, and I account that to her training. Furthermore she’s an awesome person and helps to keep you focused on the positive. Mary is really top notch. Her understanding of anatomy and movement is unparalleled in a Pilates coach. I highly recommend her for anyone who is struggling with pain and/or pregnant and postpartum mamas.

I first visited Mary’s studio as I experienced hip pain from 500+ spin classes. I started my private sessions with Mary Summer 2019. We started virtual sessions once covid hit. To demonstrate how much Mary’s teaching means to me, I continue to take Mary’s classes virtually even after my move across the world to Hong Kong in 2022.

Mary is very knowledgeable and passionate about Pilates. She is thoughtful, informative, and caring. For every problem or part I want to work on, she has a solution.

Through my sessions with her, I have been able to improve my core strength and hip flexibility. She also works on opening up my shoulder to fix my posture and shoulder pain from 11 hour work days in front of a desk.

Even though our sessions are virtual, she pinpoints and directs how every movement should be. After 3 years of virtual sessions, I purchased a reformer at home and continue to be amazed at how attentive and knowledgeable she is.

She carefully listens to all concerns I have and addresses how to practice the movements to strengthen the concerned areas. Every class is different as Mary tailors to my needs for the day / week, but at the end of every class, I feel stronger, more flexible and reduced pain from other injuries. I look forward to every class, as I know I’ll feel better in many ways after the class. It’s really just the icing on top that she’s a fun and amazing person.

I couldn't touch my knees let alone my toes when I met Mary - but her knowledge and guidance helped change my body far beyond just my flexibility -

I started with Mary in 2009 and from the very first session I noticed a difference in my overall movement - which has carried over into all aspects of my life - from how I sit at my desk, walk my dog, carry my bags - to how I weight train, run, and all other physical activities. Everything is better! I even started teaching Pillates myself after a few years of working with Mary.

She is very thoughtful with her instruction -- plus she's plenty of fun! - but most importantly - she takes you and your body as is and helps to improve your overall well being with each movement.

I'm in my second year of working with Mary, and hopefully will continue for many more! I'm in my mid 30s and have been searching since college for something I could continue doing for the rest of my life. I've tried so many different workout classes--cycling, yoga, zumba, barre, etc.--but I always felt something was missing or the atmosphere was too intense. Even sports leagues didn't work for me because I always felt like I was straining something or feeling more sore than I should. I initially sought out reformer pilates for my mild scoliosis and its accompanying back pain, but soon realized it was absolutely what I needed. I go twice a week, and I feel fit and so great in my body after many years of feeling.. not. Mary is amazing at what she does; she is kind, patient, encouraging, supportive, and incredibly knowledgeable of her work. She makes you feel like you're working with a physical therapist, an instructor, a coach, and a friend all wrapped up in one. As a bony-ish person I feel like I am actually getting stronger and more agile--I haven't been able to touch my toes in a decade! My back and hips don't hurt anymore, and I always look forward to seeing Mary as I always feel great afterwards both physically and mentally. I would give ten stars if I could!!

I can not say enough great things about Mary ! She is wonderful and has made me fall in love with pilates. She is very knowledge, passionate and cares about her clients well-being very much.
