Iβve been going to this gym for the last three years and always had an overall a positive experience. However, I needed to cancel my membership for personal reasons and this process was like pulling teeth. For weeks, no one would call me back or respond to my emails and I was still being charged my membership fee.
A big thank you to Maurissa for helping me get this resolved and for her professionalism when I came in today. She was incredibly understanding and helpful.

Wi-Fi internet doesnβt work. It only works if you are next to office door. If you go to equipments, it stops working after couple of minutes. I have already told the person who works in the office but it hasnβt been fixed yet

Great place nice owner very clean however members entering at night leaving door unlocked.
Joined here because it has a swipe key to get in.
On 2 occasions at night the door lever wedged open allowing access without card
Most likely owner is unaware .

Small facility small selection on machines. Nice and clean environment but pretty pricey considering there's not much accommodations no locker rooms either. Will say though that when I went into to cancel my membership the staff member was helpful and went quickly n simple no hassle which I found very helpful considering some gyms you have to fight tooth and nail to cancel although I think it was only because I was within the first three buisness days.

I was not impressed. I am used to a clean gym atmosphere where people work out and respect each otherβs space. I went into two bathrooms and both were filthy. Especially the toilets. Plus, there was a man there who was exceptionally annoying. Always watching what you are doing and freely giving unsolicited input. He even made it a point to get my attention when I went to leave. His behavior was odd to me and he sorta acted like he owned the place (although I doubt if he was the owner). Iβll stick with my Southside pgh location as Iβve never experienced this there.
Update - I received a call from this location. They were concerned and wanted to know more details. I was impressed that they seemed genuine. Iβm hoping that they get it together as this gym has a lot of potential.

This is definitely one of the worst locations I've been to in the Pittsburgh area. Their dumbbells are nice, but I can't imagine trying to use a barbell there during peak hours. It's almost as if they don't have enough weight if there were more than 3 people that could bench, deadlift, or squat more than 225. The weights and the barbells were very crummy too. The nice thing is they have a Jacob's Ladder and the layout of the gym is okay. The studio is pretty spacious compared to the other ones, but it just feels like the workers aren't there enough and the crowd is disrespectful because the equipment was very disorganized.

I signed up a month or two after they opened, so at this point, I've been a regular member for nearly 5 years (Dang!). I've seen a lot of staff come and go, but they've always been approachable, respectful, and willing to work with you. The facility itself is fine; although, every now and then, a machine or weighted equipment will be out service, but you'll have that with any gym. My only complaint is the bathrooms --- sometimes they could be a bit cleaner and presentable and since there are only 3 private ones, if it's busy and you are in a rush, you may have to wait a minute...or two. But I've gotten to know a lot of the members and usually have a positive experience!

Be sure to get a new card or go in and cancel membership even if you only signed up for a specific amount of time. They will still charge your card and tell you, you signed up for automatic renewal.

This place is FAR from clean! It used to be spotless, but has gone downhill in the past 18 months. The toilets are typically dirty (they apparently don't know what the toilet brush is for). The activity room floor hasn't been cleaned in months (clumps of hair and dust all along the walls) and worse is the cleanliness of the machines. I go to AF clubs all over world and I see how they are cleaned every hour or 2. Here, the treadmills and windows next to them are covered in dry sweat and dust. I just watched a guy run for 30 min, sweat like crazy all over the treadmill and machine next to it and then barely wipe it down - totally disgusting). For the most part, the workers here either run training sessions or sit in the offices doing nothing. The owners of this place need to motivate them to come out and clean or spend some money for a professional cleaning service.
My final comment is the length of time broken machines sit broken (typically months!?). I have no idea why but I really wonder where my $400+ per year membership fee (plus a laughable $15 per year "facility improvement fee" goes)?!
I am regretting renewing my membership here.

Barely a gym. Does not have separate facilities for men & women.
On 4/2/19 at 630 PM (staffed hours), urine all over the restroom floor. Smell is horrendous. Come on anytime, clean the bathrooms.

The Greentree Anytime Fitness was a decent gym....until they decided to no longer participate in the Highmark/Tivity Health "Fitness Your Way" program (even though numerous other Anytime Fitness locations continue to be a part of this program). That leads me to believe that this was a decision made by the location's franchisee...but in this reviewer's opinion -- and I'm sure many others' -- it was NOT a good one. I'm interested to hear why this was decided. In the meantime, I'm going to all of the Pittsburgh-area LA Fitness locations (which continue to participate in the "Fitness Your Way" program), along with many Planet Fitness and Anytime Fitness locations. Hope this Anytime Fitness location will consider re-joining.

Poor business practice, automatic renewals nobody remembers, billing company that customers have to deal with but then this particular location makes you deal with them as well so it is a waste of time.

I would be giving only 0 for the Green tree branch, in Pittsburgh. These guys are very very unfriendly, money minded, no care for customer. I had to submit a subscription cancellation due to long time travel out of country and their arugement was I can only cancel my subscription if I travel within country but not outside country, at last I had to reach out to regional manager to make them understand and agree to cancel with heavy penality, but even after 2 months of subscription cancellation, they are still chargning me subscription cost for every month. Provided there is no customer care too, this is a worst experience I had so far despite of losing money.

My fiance and I just joined about a week ago and love it so far - very clean, great machines and love the convenience of the 24 hour access. The workout room is a really nice addition and we love the option of doing the virtual workout class. The staff was also very helpful during our sign-up and intro process!

The facility is great, always clean. But no matter how nice a gym is you need a staff thats knowledgeable, polite and respectful. By far the staff at the Greentree location over exceeds those 3 things. Listen if your planing to get a gym membership at a quality facility go see the Manager at Greentree Anytime Fitness, he is a very respectable young man who is definitely going to take care of you.....Trust me you won't be disappointed. Tell him Lawrence with the bad little boy sent you. Lol

"Doing what is right" is not the motto of this gym. I was injured at this facility, rupturing a disc that pinched a nerve causing paralysis in my arm. I immediately got surgery in an attempt to get movement back and ended up having a 9 month recovery until I finally began to get movement in my arm again.
There was no compassion from management (Scott Day - Regional Manager). They put a 4 month freeze on my account (and continued to charge my credit card) and then reactivated the account when I was still unable to attend the gym (unknowingly to me). I was told that my cc would be charged until I unfroze my account and receive the amount of months that I paid for free when I reactivated my account. BY THE WAY - THEY REFUSED TO PUT THE FREEZE ON MY ACCOUNT UNTIL I PROVIDED A NOTE FROM THE DOCTOR. When I finally went back to the gym 9 months after the original injury, I was told that I wouldn't have a payment for the time that I was injured. 1 month later they charged my credit card again and wouldn't consider providing additional months. There was no negotiation from management.
This place is a joke. I will never consider joining Anytime Fitness again, nor would I recommend this gym to my worst enemy.

Went to see the gym around 6:30 am. People are working out inside as I could see. I tried to pull the door open. Alas! It was locked. It says that staffed hours start at 10 am in the morning. Bad strategy to attract customers. Also, not a good idea to workout with heavy weights with absolutely no staff around in the peak hours. I do not know how the gym is actually from inside and how the staff really are, as could not get to enter the gym.

Pros:
Clean - everyone cleans their machines after use with provided wipes
New facility - the machines are all new, great dumbbells and bar bells
24/7 - electronic key entry for security, always open for late night workouts
Cons:
-Smaller space than some gyms, if there's more than 6 people in the weight lifting area it feels very crowded.
-Only 5 treadmills, they have other cardio stuff more rarely used, they should replace half their other stuff with more treadmills.
-Only one actual power rack for squats
-No real bench press station for barbell, you have to use squat rack if it's free, which it rarely is.
4/5 stars because the cons are just minor inconveniences. It's a solid place.

I went to Green Tree this afternoon to visit their facility after talking on the phone with Ethan. Ethan informed me I could try the facility out since I've been considering joining, and Anytime Fitness would be perfect because I travel frequently to Washington D.C. I arrive about an hour after I confirmed I have would be coming via phone call, and was greeted by Denise. I could hardly call it a greeting though, because when she saw me she blurted out, "What do you want?" I told her I had talked to Ethan on the phone about a free trial/visit. She told me "they weren't taking free trials and because my license if from Irwin (25 minutes away) I wouldn't qualify anyways. I'm a University of Pittsburgh student, and I can't qualify to test a facility 15 minutes away for a day! Then I asked to speak to the manager, Ethan, who wasn't there at 2 P.M. As an alternative I asked if I could just fill out a waiver and try the gym out for today. She told me there was nothing she could do for me and basically pushed me out of the door. I'm not sure if I was treated this way because of my age (22) but this was an absolutely unacceptable experience and a waste of a drive. I am currently a medical student and its embarrassing how my time was wasted and the way I was treated as a previous future customer. I am calling to contact the owner of the facility as soon as possible.
