I have gone to almost every class-type April offers and I can say that April puts her whole heart into what she does. Not only have the classes changed my life and the way I think about movement, but it has made me feel like a part of a community. April doesn't just show up and teach, he puts her whole self into it. Every class offers something unique for EVERY body of every ability. April offers modifications, inspiration, motivation, and a safe place to just be yourself. If you've been waiting to step foot in the door, then take this as a sign. From the moment I walked into April's studio, I felt so welcomed and felt the love in the community. I’ve been attending Aprils classes for a few years now after hearing about them from my mom. I’ve been putting off leaving a review because I don’t think I can articulate exactly how much April, her practice, and her community of fellow yogis have positively impacted my overall wellbeing. I travel over 30 minutes multiple times per week to attend her classes. She is dedicated and empathetic towards everyone and it’s shown through her teachings. She’s created such a safe and uplifting environment for everyone - regardless of age or fitness level. I deeply feel that I am a better person, mentally and physically, after consistently showing up to be a part of the incredible community she has created. I still feel like my words don’t fully convey how much her and the practice she has created mean to me. I am so humbly grateful ❤️

I absolutely love the energy in this place. April is an amazing instructor. I've been going pretty regularly for over a year now and I can't say enough good things about the community here. Whether it's Fierce or Flow the class always seems to give me exactly what my body needs. Please don't hesitate to book a class and come in. Even if you've never done Yoga at a studio, just come. There is seriously no judgement here and we all had to walk through the doors for the first time once. 🪬

I’ve attended April’s classes for nearly a year and seriously cannot get enough. Whether it’s Pound, any form of yoga, or pilates, each class is uniquely sprinkled with mindful cues, intention, and motivation. Somehow April seems to know exactly what form of movement, intention, or cues my body needed (even if I didn’t know).
Getting physically stronger has always been my goal, but the mental resiliency and clarity after each class is an added, unexpected bonus.
The supportive community April has built is wonderful and I’m lucky to be part of it. Take a class with April – you won’t regret it. If anything, you’ll be upset you didn’t try her classes sooner!!

My friend and I wanted to join a yoga / pilates class in between where we live so we can see each other more and have a healthy hobby. It was a New Years resolution for me and I have been going consistently now for almost 6 months. I could not have asked for a better teacher and community and space to become apart of. I can’t say enough good things about the Pilates class at April J Yoga in Topton! I came in with zero experience and have totally fallen in love. April makes every class fun, accessible and empowering, no matter your fitness level, and everyone in the class is welcoming and encouraging. I can literally feel myself getting stronger every week!

I have known April for nearly 20 years. She is passionate about her practice and you can tell if you just take a class! I FINALLY started by taking a yoga class. I told her my goals and she encouraged me to take her Pilates class. I am obsessed. April knows her stuff. Cares about each of her clients. Wants you to move your body. I feel so much better after my second week of classes.

My daughter-in-law invited me to one of April’s Pilates classes, and to be honest, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. It’s been a while since I tried something new like this, and I was a little nervous going in.
But April made me feel so comfortable from the moment I walked in. She’s incredibly kind, encouraging, and explains everything in a way that makes it easy to follow—no matter your age or fitness level. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it, and even more surprised at how good I felt afterward!

Absolutely love April J Yoga and the different classes offered. April is an energetic, empowering, and compassionate instructor. She makes sure to show modifications and remind everyone to go at their own pace which is just makes you feel comfortable and like you belong no matter what stage you are personally at. I started with the Pound Unplugged class, which I now attend religiously, but have also taken interest in Fierce and the Flow classes. The workouts are great- mind, body, and soul wise- and the feeling of connectedness and community is better!

April came to do a session of chair yoga for the nurses at the Reading Hospital as a team building event. She was the most kind compassionate and best instructor . A little over a year ago I was in an accident and broke 7 vertebrae in my neck and back requiring surgery. After months of limited physical activity, I began physical therapy a couple times per week. I just wasn’t getting what I needed from my health care team to recover. I decided to try yoga. I approached April and explained my condition and goals. She could not have been more accommodating. The studio environment is so welcoming and soothing. April guides her classes through movements while constantly reminding us to do what we feel is right or comfortable for our bodies. I’ve never felt pushed or intimidated by anyone at the studio. April’s website makes it so easy to see the class schedules, to sign up and to sign in. After 6 months with April, I’ve spent less money on my physical recovery than I would have in PT co-pays and my doctors are very happy and impressed with my strength, flexibility and range of motion and so am I. No matter what your condition, size or abilities, there is a place for you at April J yoga studio. I whole heartedly recommend giving April J Yoga a try.

April is an innovative and creative teacher with a vast knowledge and skills to offer yoga and a fusion of all that she has studied and applied. It is obvious that she is well studied. I’ve been absent from yoga due to life and such…I recently went to Katrina’s Stretch and Strength class and was amazed at how awesome it was. I didn’t realize how tight I was and I felt the effects from all of it the next day!

First time going to April’s yoga studio and it was so much better than I expected. I joined April’s yoga class a few years ago. At first I was very leery as I am not what you would picture when you think of a person who does yoga. However, that was not a factor in April’s yoga class. April’s class is very inviting, once I was in, I was no longer worried about being a larger person trying to do yoga. The atmosphere in April’s class is not like any other fitness type class. When you’re in April’s class, you don’t have to worry about some uptight fitness instructor yelling at you to step it up, or you’re doing it wrong, or going too fast and you’re struggling to keep up. April encourages you positively and calmly. April teaches her classes at a nice pace that allows everybody to be at a place of their own, while still being in a group class. Even though you are in a class, April engages the group constantly, and if you have any questions at all, weather it is how to properly do a pose or anything else regarding the yoga at hand, April will answer your question and help you in such a respectful and explanatory way you are not embarrassed or shamed for asking, like in some other types of classes. And you will laugh often in April’s yoga class. I have suffered with ADHD for years. After attending April’s yoga class, she has helped me learn the physical and mental benefits of Yoga. If you are not currently attending April’s yoga class, you should be. It does not matter your body type, size or age. April’s class is worth attending, I promise!

I started yoga many years ago, and was very skeptical of the benefits. I've had several teachers but have to say that April is the one that gave me a love for the practice and helped me learn so many mindful aspects to help my practice work for me. She truly makes you feel that it is her honor to be with you. You are never rushed or pushed to do something that is beyond your ability yet you are challenged to do your best and also feel safe on the mat. The new studio is a relaxing, peaceful space and I would recommend a class from this studio to anyone on any yoga level.
