Course is in bad shape . Tee boxes are beat. Greens a have huge amounts of divets that patrons arent fixing. No ball washers. I know they have had a ton of rain that has hurt some of the fairway and greens, but the lazy players are ruining them

Not a 50+ dollar course. Aged facilities, no water coolers, cheap Ace Hardware bunker rakes, beat up greens, unmanaged and beat up tee boxes, no sand/grass seed on the tee boxes or carts, below average range, I could go on.
The course is tight and a good challenge with a nice layout. Restaurant is nice. Pro shop is less than basic. They can do better.

Played for the first time today, June 14th 2025. Enjoyed the round tremendously. Great people in the clubhouse and on the course. Every hole is different, and the terrain plays a huge factor. Makes for some challenging shots in some scenarios. Feels like one of those courses I need to play again. Overall, really great experience and would recommend to anyone in the area. God bless!

Both the course and restaurant were great. Green are fast and true. Plush fairways. Some can be tight but with gorgeous views no complaints at all.

Beautiful golf course with some challenging holes. A few of the more scenic holes run alongside a river. We arrived almost 2 hours early after driving in from out of state, but Mr. Rizzo was kind enough to squeeze us in and get us out early instead of having us wait. All the staff we met were super friendly and helpful. A very memorable 1st visit.

Love the course but if youβre listed as being open until 6:00, it would be nice to get a ball machine for the range if youβre going to close the pro shop 20 minutes early every day. Too many times I stop after work to use the range and everything is locked up early.

Course is in excellent shape compared to the many played of recent. Well manicured and the greens were rolling nicely. Deduct 1 star for the sluggish cart which struggled up hills. If target golf is your liking this course is for you. Recommended

Had an 9:43 AM βTβ time, paid for myself and since we had a little before our βTβ time I went back in the pro shop to grab a couple power aid drink. After waiting in line for 4 other individuals who were paying for their round I was told they couldnβt sell it to me and I had to go to the snack shop. Fast forward we finished up around 2 PM went to the snack shop to get a hot dog and drink were I was told βoh itβs been a slow day so and I was getting ready to close β luckily the college student was nice enough to put hot dogs back on the grill for us and sell us drinks & a hot dog. What a way to run a golf course π

Course was in good shape today and played well, but the amenities were poor and substandard.
Carts don't have GPS, which is unacceptable considering many courses with lower greens fees have GPS in their carts. No GPS should be at least $10 lower green fee.
Carts were over-governed to the point they barely had the power to make it up many of the hills on this course. My buddy had to get out a couple times or we wouldn't have made it, no exaggeration.
Clubhouse is being renovated, so there is no place to get out of the heat for a few minutes at the turn. Snack bar is currently outside. Who the heck renovates their golf course clubhouse in the friggin summer when they could have and should have done that while the course was empty all winter?!?
I won't be back.

Standing by the bar for a couple minutes(very patient person) and manager or whoever out of nowhere βI need you guys to order from her and her only we are busyβ which I understand. At the same time I wasnβt doing anything but standing. Buddy ordered a hotdog and it was thrown at the bar, he asked for ketchup nicely and was just finger pointed in the direction. Here for a golf tournament and leaving after 18 due to service. Horrible.

The golf course is a very nice course. It was in very good condition but the it had rained for days and it was cart path only. Then to top it off we wanted to go into the Copper Hill Pub at the course for drinks. We had 14 golfers that would like got something to drink. When the first foursome entered the pub the hostess told them if they didnβt buy food they were not going to be admitted. She then told us we could get beers to go and drink them on the patio. Needless to say we did not get anything from the pub and we will not return to Crossgates or the Copper Hill Pub.

Have been here multiple times, but during the week when it was slower. A great course, kind of short, but has increased difficulty due to different terrain. Some holes are up in elevation, some are down, itβs great! The Marshal didnβt bother us about really anything, and was informative. Pretty scenic too, a number of holes are along the Conestoga (I believe) River. Carts are newer. The course is outlined by a newer community so there are some houses to worry about.

Overall, its an okay course. The pace of play is absurdly slow. 10th tee was backed with about 5 groups waiting to tee off at the turn. I liked the design of the front 9, but the back 9 seemed poorly designed. Hole 10 is just very odd. The course is taken care of pretty well. I am willing to give it another shot.

This is an awful golf course! Took 6 hours to golf 18 holes! The course is not kept nice. Tee boxes and greens had chunks of grass missing on every hole! Not to mention the 58$ fee! Wonβt be golfing here at this course again. They book every 8 minutes which is absurd!

Played two times this summer. Both rounds were over 5.5 hours. Ranger on the course just drives around and doesnβt talk to slow groups. Expressed our concerns with pro shop - no apologies, just defensively told us he had a full tee sheet. Carts are old and slow. Not worth the fees they charge. Wonβt be back.

What do you get when you cross 4 women that were college roommates, more kids than you can shake a stick at, and golf addicted husbands? Seriously, our families have been coming to Lancaster for the last 8 years for Columbus Day weekend. Of those 8 years, the husbands have played Crossgates 6 out of those 8 years. We enjoy the course, layout, staff in the pro shop, and the food in the clubhouse is great. Our tee-time is booked for this weekend and we are ready to go... Course is always in great shape for late season golf.

The restaurant was terrible, played with my son and thought we would have a quick beer and snack after are round. We were told we couldn't order a hotdog because we had finished our round, two minutes later they sold two guys hotdogs that were on the turn. Dumbest thing I ever heard of. Plus the the bartender was rude.
Never again for Crossgates .
The course was ok at best lots of goofy holes, very poor lm ayout.

I don't hear to many people talk about this course, but they should. Nice layout with above average conditions. Grass driving range could use some work, but being a public course you can't expect a grass range to be very lush. I'll take it over a range mat any day. Was surprised there wasn't a drink cart available the day I played. Carts could use an upgrade as they were on the slow side. Very nice bar/restaurant area to finish your day at. Overall, very nice experience. Will definitely be back.

Golf course is real! Tough course. But rewarding if you play smart. Play safe and stay short if being conservative. Lady at snack bar is rude. No hotdogs if you finish round. Only for golfers at turn. Never heard of such a rule. Father's day weekend and we had time for a dog but had to get going. Denied! There were over 12 dogs ready. We drank our beer in 5 min, 10 more dogs came out and only 1 bought.other young girl is nice.

Had a retirement get together. Put us outside, which was ok. No stoves running it was damp and cold. No lights on. Service was ok, order a drink, omitted the alcohol???? Waited forever for the waitress to come back to correct the order. The atmosphere was horrible for a retirement party, felt like we were just thrown back there. For that type of establishment, it should have been a better set up.

There was always someone to open the door for me. Steak night blew away my expectations. It was juicy, savory, and filling with mashed potatoes, brown gravy, sweet onions and mushrooms, and string beans. We hardly had room for the second cookie with the ice cream sandwich drizzled with chocolate syrup. The whipped cream was the best I ever had. I only wish there had been outdoor seating.

Crossgates is one of the best Public golf courses I have ever played at. Challenging course layout that forces the golfer to choose shots rather than grip and rip. Course condition is always consistent and the fairways are always perfectly trimmed. If for no other reason, play the course to see the beautiful view from the 18th tee box.

Showed up early teed off late due to the group ahead of us. Held up at every tee box through 9 by that group as the group behind us harassed us. Ranger stopped us after 9 and asked our tee time said we are right up with the other group. We told him the group behind us Is antsy asked if we should let them play through he said no just stay with the group in front. Despite that conversation still waited at 10 To tee due to group ahead of us. Imedietly after arriving to our tee shots to hit 2nd shot one of the players from the group behind us with a flag on his cart apparently a "ranger" as well comes rudely stating we are asking everyone to speed up tee times are backed up...he went on Came back said it's another group. We said make sure the guys behind us know they keep hollering at us. He says I am the group behind you they had no one to ranger today so I'm doing it as I play.,....he then continued to be rude behind us the rest of the round..... never will go back. Shame

The course itself is fine, but the service was very poor. Guy in the pro shop was nice, but they didn't have a starter to enforce tee times. This of course led to a backlog, and somehow resulted in our group, which did tee off on time and finished our round in under 4 hours, being rudely harrased by the ranger.
Will not be returning to this course.

We were surprised to read a few bad reviews. This course, while difficult for this very average golfer, was in wonderful shape for February with lovely facilities. With the creek and woods all along the course I imagine itβs beautiful in summer and fall. We got a group golfer deal of $18 which was a steal for a course of this caliber- even for winter golf.

Course is in terrible shape. Half the fairways are missing any space where you can sit a ball on grass. Played today and the back 9 which used to have 3 water cooler spots was down to 1 and that one wasn't even filled. The 15th green is missing a lot of grass and the 16th teebox might as well be a dirt patch. Just awful conditions to expect people to pay full price for. Go to a better course like Four Seasons in the area.

Plus they didn't give us a refund and told us they could fit us in about 30mins later but we would have to pay full price. I'm glad we didn't play cause their practice green was trash. I would rate the golf course 3 out of 5 stars. Layout is okay, conditions were average, nothing really to speak about. However, I have to agree with some of the other posts about the terrible service and staff. I took my father, mother and wife out for a round of golf on a Sunday. We were told, very rudely, to pick up the pace on the 5th or 6th hole. No one was in sight behind us as we were actually playing very quickly. The girls were not even playing most of the holes. The twosome in front of us was maybe two holes ahead. However, we kept on being harassed by the ranger because their policy is to keep you up the a$$ of the group in front of you. When we made the turn, BARELY two hours after we started, we all stopped to get a bite to eat at the snack bar. As soon as we were done getting our food, the guy working the pro shop came out and told us we had to keep playing while we ate. I asked him if we could just let the group behind us play through. Apparently that was an absurd question because I received a frantic and condescending response that never answered my question. Everyone was disgusted at this point. We went off the back nine but my parents ended up leaving halfway through the 10th because my father was in a foul mood because he understandably does not like being spoken to like a child by a pro shop attendant. My wife and I finished the back nine, no one could be seen in front of us or behind us. We finished in 3 hours and 50 something minutes. Ruined my Father's day gift to my dad and they won't be getting my business again.

The deals they have on the golf now app are awesome. The course is in pretty good shape, but last times there was a lot of jamming up from slow players. Nothing aggravates me more than getting thrown off my groove/pace. There were times where I was waiting for ten minutes to even take a shot. That's just not acceptable. I've never had an issue here before though, so I'm sure it's not too common an occurance.

I usually don't complain about players and their play but someone needed to monitor play. It took 5 plus hours just to get to 17. I just left the course and the pro shop stated they could do nothing about any form of compensation.

The greens were in top notch shape. Our cart was ready for us. We used the app for the first time and all was in order. The staff was friendly. Purchased some items in the Pro Shop and they were very helpful. Had lunch at the Grill and the food was terrific. We enjoyed the course immensely!

The course is fabulous but the starter and rangers were a joke. A five hour round on a Wednesday morning because the starter sent twosomes and singles out. She sat by the first tee so you didnt know who was really next. It was first come first serve. Why even make a tee time?? The icing on the cake came on the eighteenth tee. After waiting ten minutes to tee off a jogger ran right down the cart path in front of us and a ranger who just sat there like that was normal

An absolutely fantastic course. It has enough challenges to keep it interesting. Like a couple island fairways, sloped greens and a few tough dog legs. The grass is well maintained all the way around. The greens are very fast, which is the current trend. Beautiful course with attractive water features like playing right along the Conestoga River. Definitely play here.
