This gym use to be very nice and I rated it five stars before. But now, the cable equipment is broken half the time and the gym is very crowded at night. In addition, the dumbbells only go up to 80lbs so if you are a serious lifter that is a limitation. On Tuesdays there is a class that takes up the middle of the gym. At least the gym is clean and the AC works.

Owner is condescending. The closing policy is shady. They attempt to get as much money possible out of you, and make closing very difficult. The trainers do pointless workouts in the middle of the gym and the most busy times and just take up space.

Seriously if anyone breaks a sweat I’d be surprised. Tell them to squat, bench, or deadlift, but that’s too complicated I guess. Rather lift with little resistance bands that don’t even benefit them. Maybe that keeps people with the trainer longer?

Avoid the gym as management and the owner are people you’d rather not give your money too.

Gym staff is horrible, membership is not worth what they charge. Equipment is on-par or inferior to other area gyms that charge lower rates, and they are missing more than a few amenities. Customer service needs a lot of work, and if your membership ever has any sort of issues, prepare for a headache to say the least and forwarding your information to collections at the worst.

It's not bad quality if you're paying only $10/month.. That being said, you'll have to deal with approximately 5-10 pieces of equipment being down for a month or more at a time. Two of the four multi-purpose cable machines are routinely "temporarily unavailable" and "under repair." Currently, in addition to these two, five other pieces of equipment are down, including: the sled (been missing for about 4 weeks), the seated leg extension (this has been "under repair" for at least 3 weeks, one treadmill, one seated lat pull down machine, and one seated rowing machine. Luckily, the dumbbells have avoided having the dreaded "under repair" sign affixed to them, as all you have to do is pick them up, as long as you're not bothered by the fact they only reach 80lbs..
Recently, the rates were increased by a modest $2 per month to provide a better experience. The amount is noncontributory to my complaint as two dollars should not be your reason for not going to a gym, if it is, you need to reassess your financial situation.. however, it is the principle of it. If you're going to charge more, the paying customer would expect a better experience. At least return the missing sled and keep the equipment functional for those that use it properly. If it is deemed difficult to maintain due to customer misuse, then deal with those individuals separately and remove them from the premises if they refuse to comply. Simple as that. Don't subject those such as myself and many others to a subpar atmosphere and gym as a result of the ignorance and/or lack of simple courtesy of those individuals. Meanwhile, I will continue to lift quietly, and watch the high rate of staff turnover and countless individuals struggle with form on many machines and execute poor form through a majority of their lifts as staff look on without stepping in for their own safety.

On a positive note, the place is generally quite clean and the staff have always treated me well. Five stars to the gym in those respects alone.

True, there was a little glitch one morning this week with the gym not being opened at 5:00 a.m., but I later learned it wasn't Crunch's fault. Business has been back on as usual since that day, and Crunch put out an apology and corrected the situation asap. I appreciate the fast action, reliability, and professionalism. Thanks Crunch!

Wanted to give it more stars but unfortunately I can't. I've went there a couple times before I got a membership and really liked it. Very clean and organized. So I purchased my membership yesterday with hopes of starting today and I met my friend there this morning. He got there at 5am and said the doors weren't open yet. I arrived shortly after around 5:10 and they still weren't open. Many cars drove up and left, the police came to check and make the older gentleman who's normally works in the morning wasn't hurt inside. Nothing. We even called the Waterfront Club to see if they knew anything, they said they received many calls and were trying to help. We stayed until 6:15am when someone finally arrived and opened the door. Unfortunately I have kids and had to go to work so I couldn't start and I had to return home. He was able to still workout. His normal club is the Waterfront but he traveled to work out with me and I couldn't even stay to workout and I had my membership for less than 24 hours smh...disappointed!! :(

This is the best gym are there downtown or east in Pittsburgh. It is by far the best gym in Monroeville. It is by far the best gym in murrysville. It has tons of equipment especially weights and cardio. Never had to wait or skip an exercise.
I especially love all of this squat racks.

I really enjoy going to the gym. It has everything I need or want but I do have a major problem with the shower stalls and floor. I have complained about this area without any results. The floor is pitched the wrong way so the water just pools in the area unless someone squeeze it which hardly happens. One of the showers is being "repaired" for at least 3 months and is closed for use. All three are filled with MOLD which is very bad for your health and no one cares. I always take a shower after working out but have not for several months due to the mold. I've complained but there's always an excuse but no remedy. It's a health hazard! If this area was fixed and properly I would have given the club a 5 star. Not going to happen the way it is.

nice place to workout. plenty of equipment including kettle bells, ropes, heavy balls, bosu etc. i used to go to LA fitness (which was nice too) but it was often very crowded and very difficult to find floor space. staff and patrons are very nice and courteous. price is right too. veterans---ask for military discount as well.

Air Conditioning system is the worst, when you run on thread mill or any cardio machine you start sweating which is good, but this big ventilation system on the ceiling usually directly hits your head and you get sick or headache because of that, thats the worst cooling system ever.

Great gym. Clean. Good atmosphere. Amazing PT staff and fantastic group fitness classes and really fun small group training classes. Their HIITZONE is amazing. Love the heavy bags and battle ropes. A great variety of machines and weights. Not to mention all of the cardio equipment like the treadmills, elipticals, steppers and rowers. Best gym in town!

I was impressed with this place on my first visit. It is clean, modern and staffed with friendly, good natured and helpful people. I visited four other nearby fitness clubs before making my decision to join Crunch. Granted, we all have different needs and requirements, but this facility fit my needs without excessive or unneeded features, contracts and fees. It has proven to be an excellent decision. My wife and I have been members here since we moved to the area from New Mexico in May 2016. We visited other gyms and when we got to Crunch, the decision was easy to make. Good gym; has everything I need; good selection of equipment and weights; things are in good shape, place is as clean as you can hope for for a gym, locker rooms are nice, staff is friendly and the price is exceptionally reasonable. No complaints here.
