My friend, whom has intellectual disabilities, went into this facility to sign up for a $25 a month membership. By the time they were done taking advantage of his situation he was signed to a contract for 6 months at $220 a month for a personal training lessons that he does not need. My friend sweeps floors for a living. He is paycheck to paycheck. He cannot afford this. And they knew that. When the personal training supervisor whose name is Jordan signed him to this contract he knew about my friends disabilities. By his own admission.
If this is the type of place you want to do business with by all means. But there is a better alternative in rostraver township. Google CFH. You greedy people at crunch should be ashamed of yourself.

Absolutely love the group fitness classes. Denise, Ali, Barb, Dan, Melissa, and Ashley are the best instructors. I would love more classes in the evening. 30in30, Storm, Sizzle, Boxing, and Demolish. Also more on the weekends!

The facility is fine. It has everything that you may want to work out, the issue is with the amount of members that there are it is very crowded at most peak times.
Therefore it would be great if there were more duplicates of popular equipment. Also some of the attachments are lacking for the demand.
Cleanliness is a major issue. The floors are constantly dirty, the bathrooms are a disaster most of the time . When the floors are cleaned they never clean under the equipment. The gym is less than a year old and is already showing signs of wear.
The managers and employees seem to care less about customer complaints and I even had one of the front desk personnel tell me it isn't their job to clean up the facility.
Overall disappointing.

First of all, I just wanna say that I love all my classes in the back that I go to and most of the instructors are awesome, they just flow with the music and make the workouts fun. If I had to pick a favorite, right now, I would have to say it’s Kiersty. Her workouts are challenging and it pushes me to work harder and I’m seeing results! I like how she explains everything also. Her personality is fun and full of energy and therefore you don’t always realize how hard you’re really working! Her body is very muscular and toned and it also Challenges me to keep working hard to get where she’s at. She’s even taking the time after class was over and shared some tips with me on doing certain exercise exercises that help my problem areas. I started doing the TRX with Denise a couple of months ago and I’m really enjoying that also. She is a great instructor and also makes that class fun. The 30/ 30 class she does is also amazing. We never stop And when I leave, I feel like I gave everything I had to give. Of course there’s Francine. I started working out with her when she taught at LA fitness and she was always one of my favorites.. One of the reasons I continue to come to this gym and not choose another is because of all of these instructors!

It’s a good gym in the day time, management is great and attentive. But I’ve gone a few times in the night time, and the night shift workers are horrendous. There was one guy in charge of the desk tonight and he was in the gym working out for the last hour of the shift. Meaning you can’t purchase anything, you can’t sign up for a membership, and you can’t use the amenities like tanning beds or hydro beds that you paid for as a part of your upgraded membership. On a positive note… I run a family owned business and management were eager to allow me to have a promo stand on Friday’s at no cost, which I find extremely remarkable in terms of local outreach. I’m willing to change my review score, as the place has tremendous potential.

Rip off. Never sign up for the free month. They'll charge you $80 to get out if you choose to leave. They'll also try to sell you something every time to arrive. Planet Fitness was much more convenient.

Ryder is hands down one of the best employees at Crunch Fitness. Every time I come in, he greets members with genuine energy, professionalism, and positivity. He always goes above and beyond—whether it’s keeping the gym spotless, helping with equipment, or answering questions with patience and knowledge. You can tell he truly cares about the members and the environment here.
His work ethic, attitude, and consistency make a huge difference in the overall vibe of the gym. Ryder doesn’t just do his job — he elevates the entire Crunch experience. Employees like him are rare, and he absolutely deserves recognition (and a raise!) for everything he does.

I really enjoy coming to this gym, was a longtime members of planet fitness then crunch opened and I finally found a gym that I can push my limits without hearing staff tell me you can’t wear this, you can’t drop the weights, and so on, but I will say I truly wish the cleanliness was top priority over the social media antics…. The same empty water bottle has been in the sauna since last Friday in the same spot!!!! But also it’s the lazy members that think they don’t need to clean up after themselves, remember it’s our gym and if you wanna be nasty and not clean up or flush toilets and urinals then don’t use the bathroom or locker room. I do wish there was a stretching cage (the only thing I miss from planet fitness)… all an all I do really enjoy this just I just wish they’d follow the same work ethics that the north hills location seems to do
Updated… 9/20/25 this gym is literally going right into the dumps, machines broken for weeks now, sauna not fixed for over a week now, pay 30 a month for what ? I’m just gonna make McKnight location my home gym, it’s cleaner and I have yet to see that location nasty like pleasant hills! And why in the hell when you get a shower all you smell is raw sewage, but then you look down on the shower floor and see that drain in sinking in….. it’s the best gym on the planet! If you like dirtiness and raw sewage smell while you shower… hey franchisee why don’t you take better of your location and look into see what is really the issue here…..

The locker room, bathroom, sauna, and gym area are never clean… I see them cleaning occasionally but it’s not enough. In my opinion they need to deep clean these areas every hour. And / Or enforce better behavior from their patrons.

I have been at my wit's end trying to cancel my membership. I have been trying to cancel my membership since 12/24 after becoming injured in a car accident. I have emailed with no response. There is never a manager on staff. I have come to try to cancel my membership, but there is no manager. I have called and can never speak to a manager. I can't even get a hold of customer service. This is the most ridiculously run business I have ever experienced in my life. It's borderline a criminal offense.

Used to be an LA Fitness member and gave Crunch a shot for a full year. Here’s my perspective.
Don’t try to go from 330-8pm. You will have a bunch of teenage boys hanging on the cable machines staring at girls in tube tops training legs. You can’t get a bench or on the cable machines to save your life. If you ask to work in, they ignore you.
The bathrooms are DISGUSTINGLY dirty. Floors aren’t cleaned and usually there isn’t any cleaner in the spray bottles to wipe down equipment.
The personal training team is not to be desired. These are kids or late 20 yr olds that got an accreditation online. A trainer needs to be in shape and approachable. Most of the time they are sitting at the trainer’s desk on their phones.
The front desk is the same way. You don’t get acknowledged or greeted when walking in the door. Now, I’m not looking for a red carpet “welcome.” If they would even look up or away from their co-workers to greet people, it would be a different story.
The environment is just not a good vibe at all. The employees don’t want to be there and it shows. The people working out are treating it like a social club. I only gave 2 stars because the equipment was decent. ( I cancelled my membership last week.)

Bruno you are the worst employee there. What a joke went there today, wasn’t greeted at the door, some Bruno at the C-3 location acted like it was torture when I asked for a tour. I had no idea where anything was and asked if he could walk me about and all he did was walk me in a circle in point out machines sorry crunch no money from me. I went to attend a friend classes tonight and he told me I couldn’t take the classes cause I was not a member. I was there for the 7 day pass but was told it had expired. I asked if there were any others specials going on , answer “not really”

Please fix your times on the app and Google. The gym was orginally advertised as 24/7, The sign on your door says youre 24/5, you say 24/4, but youre not actually open 24 hours on Monday either so you're actually only 24/3. The app says you open at midnight on Mondays but you dont so how is anyone supposed to know when you open?
A lot of the complaints are pretty valid. They do seem to have tried harder on cleaning but you'll still get 10 employees sitting around during peak hours while every towel and spray bottle are empty in the entire gym. Mostly it get dirty quick on peak hours which is hard to keep up with.
Its not the gyms fault that theres younger kids in groups, they pay to go here too. Yes it's annoying. But the gym can enforce dress code as ive seen multiple people in work boots that left mud all over the floor.
The equipment is fine, never seen a piece down for long and ive been here since they opened. People complaining about the decals falling off the wall are nitpicking.
It seems like they stopped running the AC fully cause it was causing the duct work to drip, which telling employees about leaks just gets them to give you a mean look and not bother to put up a wet sign so people keep walking thorough it.

Really disappointing experience with staff and friendliness all around at this location. I love Crunch and have worked for the company previously, the staff here seems to give a very hard time about membership terms and cancellation requests. Any time my spouse or I called with a question it was a run around to get any help or a clear answer. Employees contradicted themselves and it seems there’s no universal training or understanding amongst staff. When you’re making a consistent monthly payment it’s expected to have professional & friendly service, not rude and unhelpful staff members. Crunch has always been about working with people and being friendly, I recommend finding a different gym with genuine staff and people that won’t just give you the run around for a monthly payment and/or actually know what their contract includes and can explain to members. There’s amazing private gyms here that are genuinely in it for their love of people & fitness, this location falls extremely flat.

I had to cancel my personal training sessions as I wasn't able to use up multiple sessions per week. The assistant manager, Jordan Riding, assured me this would not be a problem and that my payments would be stopped until I used the credits on hand. Jordan then tried to resume charges to my credit card, which I discovered on the next statement. Jordan refused to give me cancellation forms, and I eventually had to have another employee get me the cancellation forms. Corporate, through Noele Lohr, stated I wasn't eligible for a refund despite the fraud. I've had to go through my credit card company to dispute, but now Crunch is trying to still charge me and calling, threatening collections. This is a costly nightmare.

My experience with the training manager, Jordan Riding, was extremely disappointing. We were given false information about the training rates. After deciding to cancel our sessions, we found unauthorized charges still appearing on our bill. Despite our attempts to resolve this, Jordan refused to issue a refund. He also tried to enforce a contract that we never signed, showcasing a complete disregard for ethical business practices. I strongly advise you to avoid training here.

Was long time member of la fitness at this location
I was hoping that crunch was better and didn’t fall off after little time. In my opinion the variety of different equipment options are big improvement, someone is always cleaning up unfortunately some members aren’t respectful in cleaning after themselves. Also in my opinion Nate is a great choice to manage the place, I personally think he cares about members and their experience. I would definitely recommend to anyone. One thing I would like to see is corporate to add a T bar row to the place definitely would make most happy.
Another thing I like is even though they now have more trainers than LA did, they don’t act like they own the place like they did at LA. Staff is all pleasant keep up the great work

Good luck trying to cancel your membership. I haven’t been to the gym in three months and had already instructed my bank to block Crunch because I don’t like gyms having direct access to my account—I prefer to pay in cash.
The issue arose when they informed me that I couldn’t make an early payment. On the due date, they attempted to charge my blocked card, resulting in a declined transaction. They then added a $15 denial fee on top of my $30 monthly charge. I refused to pay the extra fee, so they denied me access to the gym.
When I went in to cancel my membership, they told me I had to pay $80 to do so. I told them to go ahead and send it to collections—I’ll easily dispute that charge
Update: filed a claim with bbb to there corporate then got a call from Nate saying he canceled it

asked for feedback-- place is dirty but their instagram is taken care of. place is also a hangout for teenagers who just congregate around equipment and sit on their phones taking selfies (cause cool kids). The crowed is undesirable when you want to get a good life in. Also pretty sure the orange in the showers is mold and mildew thats going unaddressed. The staff is religiously sitting on their phones instead of helping the people at the desk etc. I could go on but I don't have the time for this. My rating of 1 star still stands since it doesn't allow for zero stars

This location is absurdly unhelpful. I was helped when I joined by a really nice staff member. When choosing the membership, I chose the one that did not require a 12 MONTH commitment. I ended up being signed up for a 12 month commitment despite me not wanting to. So when I try and cancel, because I found a better gym (not hard to find because crunch sucks), I am told I can’t or I need to pay my remaining balance for the year. What a joke. Why charge people monthly when you require them to be locked in for a year. I never thought planet fitness would outdo anyone but crunch is 1000% at the bottom of the barrel. If you’re serious about your health, wellness, and customer service, you’ll go to anywhere else. Even if you walk in a park for 10 minutes, it’s better than crunch.

I was a member here for a few months. It was pretty difficult to get in contact with someone about my account not working due to what they called a gym wide error. (They changed a number in my email to make it work thus it was not my actual email so I never got any updates)
It was hard to get help at the counter as everyone just stands around or walks away.
I came in to cancel my account due to medical problems and was met with a not so kind employee. I for warned them about the email situation since they said I’d be getting an email confirmation… they said “that doesn’t really matter” so I then asked how I was going to get the email confirmation if my email was wrong in the system? The whole interaction was unpleasant.
I get we all have bad days but it was unnecessary. You don’t have to put on a fake smile or anything but just be nice because you have no idea what reasons people could be leaving for.
I don’t recommend this location if you are looking for a gym with employees who are looking to help.

Since the management of this gym is in the business of having friends post positive reviews to try and throw off the negative ratings, I will post my review with receipts.
These pictures are of mold that has been growing since this place opened (less than a year ago). These showers have undoubtedly never seen a true cleaning. The floors throughout the place are equally repulsive. Theres dirt built up under all of the machines. There's black spots on the locker room floors. There's sweaty dirt stains in saunas. Now it is understandable to see some foot traffic dirt, but when that dirt never gets removed and continues to build up, you know there is a problem. For a health related facility you would think cleanliness would be a priority. It is not. The staff is less than to be desired, as they are lazy and just think they are there for a good time. They entertain themselves by making social media videos (that look like the work of an attention starved 15 year old). The spray bottles are rarely filled and the paper towel holders can often go days without being restocked. This place will fail miserably within the coming months; before they even reach a one year mark.
Also, as noted by other members, the "scam" of the waived membership fees is just that- a scam. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR IT WITHIN A COUPLE MONTHS TIME! Please pay attention when you are signing up. It is not a trial run because they will do everything in their power to claim they are unable to cancel your membership, and they will continue charging you after you do cancel. This has happened to many people who have been dissatisfied with this place.
The GM is not of management quality. He should pick up a business class or two and then try to circle back to a career in a completely different field.
EDIT: wish I could respond to the "owners" response but it doesn't allow you. Glad people have your attention so maybe you will clean up your act or be held accountable.
Claiming that all the 1star reviews aren't gym members but most have photographic proof to the claims. Seems like a weird flex. but okay. I guess I should just post the time-lapse of the daily photos of certain mold spot growths with location enabled ;)

A True Blessing!*
If bald eagles could lift weights, they’d do it here. This gym is so American it practically bleeds freedom and protein powder. Every time I walk in, Aiden and Matt greet me with such enthusiasm that I instantly gain 50 lbs on my bench press—scientifically proven (by me).
Having a bad day? Forget therapy. I just come here, get hyped by my personal mental support crew (at the front desk), and lift until my problems feel as light as a 5 lb dumbbell. The energy in this place is like pre-workout for the soul, and the gains? Nothing short of divine intervention.
10/10, would recommend if you enjoy good vibes, great workouts, and the feeling of bald eagles metaphorically spotting you mid-rep.

Beware of joining this gym. It’s a great gym, but I signed up for the $0.10 cent holiday special with $0 annual fee, $0 sing up fee and $30/mo. 2 months into my $30/mo membership, I get charged a $55 fee with no warning anywhere in the app or my email and it was not specified on the promo I signed up for. The manager said they cannot refund it at all whatsoever or do anything. Then, to downgrade my membership, they wanted to charge me another fee. I’m done here after this month and joining planet fitness 2 min down the road. Screw that. I don’t do business anywhere that just withdraws money from my bank account with zero warning and I’m not even on autopay. Screw that!!!! This place isn’t getting another penny out of me and I’m not coming back here anymore ever.

No STAR for this place … ridiculous !! charging me different amount in my account 37$ 33$ 31$ 86$ 118$ to think i just signed up and got 1 month free … i joined back in November Have 1 month free for December and billing start in January .. i just wanna try this fitness for once since they have 25 cents membership I didn’t expect it was a nightmare to join this fitness .. it got me their advertisement 25 cents membership join now cancel anytime .. but everything was a Lie !!! U cant cancel over the phone u have to go upfront .. and yes i did that i went there and the customer service told me i have to wait 90 days and he said it was set already i just have to wait .. and it will just canceled since its already set up for cancelation that date .. then i still got charge in my accnt everyday different amount .. the worst when i call them
Again spoke to one of the customer service she told me my accnt wont got canceled coz i have to pay the annual fee .. seriously ?!! Annual fee for i never used their gym not even once !!! I called them before that after signed up to canceled my membership coz i don’t think i can make it since i’m flying to vegas and spend my holiday there…that was around November when i called them and no one told me no cancellation over the phone so i just waited until the 1 month over since its only 25 cents membership .. i never thought they will keep charging me after all ..
Not paying coz i wanted to canceled my accnt but they didn't canceled coz i have to pay .. and they keep charging me everyday .. It pissed me off …. So i check the place online tried to read reviews how this crunch fitness is .. a lot of people has the same issues as mine and the good thing never came to
This place because most of the reviews complaining the filthy place … but they got a nerve to forced me to pay … hell NO !! if they wont stop charging me i will report … this place !!!!! RIDICULOUS !!!!!!!

Ashley Stanciu Kanz, who teaches Zumba at the Pleasant Hills location, handled a simple situation with unnecessary harshness today.
I arrived 15 minutes late after driving 45 minutes through rush-hour traffic, excited and motivated to join the class despite my hectic schedule. Instead of showing understanding, she dismissed me with the remark: "You were 15 minutes late, and I would appreciate it if you leave. Girl, we are all adults here; this gym is not an adulting school."
As a single mother balancing work, family, and self-care, I make sacrifices to prioritize my health. Instead of acknowledging the effort it took to be there, she chose to turn me away in a way that felt dismissive and unkind.
You never know what someone is going through. A little kindness and flexibility can go a long way. A gym should be a supportive space, not one where people are treated with unnecessary ego and disrespect.

It took me 8 days to write this review which is exactly why I'm leaving 1 star. So the place is filthy, every review mentioning this is absolutely correct, its a pig stye, its poorly laid out, they don't have enough popular machines so it misewell be just all lines and then the machine may not work anyways as the equipment is flimsy. No ones keeping the ball rolling, had one guy dancing on one of the machines for over 15 minutes, lots of groups of kids chit chatting not using the machine, the usual stuff a poorly ran and over crowded gym has. The staff lied to me and said i couldn't use my free day pass and had to pay 10 bucks. It took days of calling and hearing "the manager is the only one that can do that, they'll call you within the hour" this never happened, i went into the gym again then a manager told me they couldn't fix it, even going as far as saying call your credit card company and dispute it-really? even more time Crunch doesn't pay me for to fix a problem Crunch caused? Then the GM finally gets on the line and then tries telling me the same thing and after explaining my being professional was over as i was clearly getting the run around someone finally got on the phone and fixed it. This place sucks, its a joke of a company and Planet Fitness is way better.

I needed to write this review and say that Aiden is an exceptional employee and deserves an immediate promotion.
I dropped my AirPods and keychain containing my wedding rings on the stair master and they slipped into a crevice in the machine where I was unable to get to them. He happily opened the machine for me, TWICE and worked so hard to make sure I got them back. He was so friendly and helpful. Thank you aiden!

Being reeled into the amount of goodness they put on the websites when signing up is crazy. I signed up to see as a beginner if I should go to this one. I was paying for my brother’s membership as well as mines. I signed up when there was a holiday sale on the peak memberships of 11 cent. That was a lie. Right after I was charged $29.99 on the 16th of December and on the same day an EXTRA $44.99. I understand I was paying for two but taking out TWO CHARGES IS RIDICULOUS. Now it’s January, I get paid every other week, so the payment of the membership is not equalling the week I get paid. Now on the same exact day I got paid I was charged $154 PLUS another transaction of $114. If the 114 was apart of the annual fee I would understand that even as though that is entirely two high. Now I signed up for a personal trainer for a day and it was a $10 extra of the payment, I still never went and I thought it was just a one time payment of that. Apparently not. BUT THE SECOND TRANSACTION OF 154???? Insanity. They owe me $270, because that basically took my whole entire pay. Now I can’t cancel online because even though I never even went once to this gym because of all the scams, I had to go in to just cancel my membership. I even called to try to cancel but Jordan with a huff n puff transferred me to Josh who gave me straight toddler attitude. When I went in this girl at the counter gave me attitude when I said I wanted to cancel. Then she whispers to Andrew who seemed like the manager, he gave me such a sassy, arrogant, narcissistic demeanor the whole time. I questioned him about the 154 and he said they only took out 114. I made him print out everything except the transactions which I need now. Then he hits me with “there is a 30 day notice so on February 15th you would have to pay”. Why do I have to pay to cancel? Why is it a 30 day thing? Why did he tell me I can still come in even after my cancellation? I went to the bank and switched my accounts since they are connected because unless you give your bank numbers you can’t sign up. And the tellers even told me that everyone is coming in because Crunch Fitness are Frauds and scamming our money. I WOULD 100% NOT NOT NOT RECOMMEND!! And if they somehow keep charging me. I will be suing. Best believe.

I did a short tour, went out to the parking lot, went back in about 2 minutes later. I tried to sign up for membership, but the person at the front desk indicated I would have to wait 10 minutes for Johnny. So I I went back out to the parking lot and tried to call a manager, I guess it was the same person I talked to inside. He said again I'd have to wait 10 minutes to talk to Johnny. So what is this guy's job; just to tell people to wait 10 minutes for Johnny? I can see how it would be if I actually joined....any issues and Id have to wait 10 minutes for Johnny...

Great new gym with warm showers (unlike the purple gym up the hill I recently left) classes, massage chairs, sauna, and tanning bed. The AM front desk, Ricki, is the sweetest person I’ve met! She hypes us up so much! The classes are fun too. The only complaint I have is the crowd (mostly high schoolers, but it’s not just them) that likes to machine hog for an hour and leaves trash and equipment all over the place and out of the designated area. I’ve seen them kicking around and tossing equipment for no reason. We run too many specials and have a packed gym unless you get there super late or before 0530 in the morning

This is the greatest gym I have ever been to. As someone who is on testosterone and has been lifting for over 10 years, and been to thousands of gyms, this one truly stands above.
I used to come to the old LA fitness and the bathrooms were insultingly disgusting to the point where I was considering a move to planet fitness.
The entire staff is so friendly and i have witnessed them help hundreds of new lifters comfortably adapt to what some may see as an intimidating environment. Which leads me to the members, being the absolute friendliest people ever.
Nate and Andrew are amazing managers, they make me feel pumped up to come here, and the bathrooms are mad clean.
The fact that they took a struggling location and turned it into a 5 star gym is a testament to their leadership skills and i would trust these same people to take on significantly larger responsibilities like run a high security infantry mission in the middle east, rescue a puppy from a burning building, or even open a second crunch location in suburban georgia ,
This is the best gym? it’s only 10 dollars, you can tan (which automatically makes you lose 5% body fat) and most importantly you will have fun🤘🤘

I’m updating my review after a few months. Google Maps shows this gym as open 24 hours, so I planned my day accordingly. However, when I arrived, the supervisor informed me that they close at 9 PM. When I expressed my frustration, he threatened to call 911 if I didn’t leave on time. This experience was very disappointing, and the inaccurate information caused a lot of inconvenience. I hope the management updates the hours to avoid further misunderstandings.

They are not even open 24/5, as they are not open Mondays at 12:01 am. Now I am forced to pay for another month and their annual fee, even though it was not made clear that was going to be the case upon signing up.

I canceled my membership with Crunch today but found out I still have to pay for another extra month because they claim I needed to give a month's notice (the next billing date is the 10th of October). however, when I first signed up, they told me it was a month-to-month plan that could be canceled anytime with no commitment. They also said there is no annual fee as part of the sign-up promotion for the new members, yet two months later, they hit me with a 50$ yearly fee. The gym is misleading and unfair. I do not recommend it. 👎

Great gym and I love it overall. So much to do, and everyone is nice. But I've never been in a gym that has no paper towels in the bathrooms? Hand dryers are unsanitary& there's nothing to use to wipe things down or disinfect before you touch them. They have paper towels all over the gym, but none in the bathrooms? Weird. It also gets really hot in the gym which can be dangerous. I get some people like to sweat while working out, but nobody should be overheating to burn a few extra calories. It's not even everyday either, just on random days it gets really hot to the point you can barely do cardio. Other than that it's great, I love it!!! You get wayyyy more for your money in comparison to Planet Fitness. Worth the cost for sure. If those 2 things were addressed, it'd be perfect.

I recently joined Crunch Fitness, and I have to say that my experience has been quite disappointing. First and foremost, they were not upfront about the fees associated with my membership. I feel misled about what I was signing up for. Additionally, I was shocked to find out that canceling my membership requires an in-person visit — not very convenient in today’s digital age.
The gym itself is in poor condition; it’s often dirty and not well-maintained, which is a big letdown. It reminds me too much of the old LA Fitness, which I was hoping to avoid. The clientele also leaves much to be desired, as I've encountered a lack of manners and respect among gym-goers.
Furthermore, the front desk staff seem unenthusiastic and disengaged. They rarely acknowledge members walking in, which adds to the overall negative atmosphere. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of customer service.
Overall, I regret signing a year-long contract and would not recommend this gym if you’re looking for a positive and clean workout environment. Hopefully, they can make some improvements in the future.

I canceled my membership today, despite having really enjoyed this gym when it first opened. I appreciated the expansive free weight area, with plenty of squat racks, benches, and a vast selection of dumbbells. The mix of plate-loaded machines was also a plus.
However, the main reason for my cancellation is the gym’s cleanliness, or lack thereof. Given that it’s a relatively new facility, I was surprised to find it so dirty. The men’s room and sauna seem to have been neglected since early June. I’ve seen the same used Q-tips, band-aids, and napkins lying around in the locker room for weeks, and the floors clearly haven't been mopped in a long time. Dust and dirt are accumulating around the equipment, and at least twice a week, they run out of napkins for cleaning machines.
The gym's cleanliness issues have made it resemble LA Fitness, which is why I left that chain a few years ago. There are also significant problems with gym etiquette. Many members neglect to wipe down equipment, and it’s common to see people using the restroom without washing their hands. Some block the dumbbell racks while there’s ample space behind them, and others take multiple sets of dumbbells to their personal workout areas or leave items on equipment, treating it as if they’re reserving it for later.
I previously had a Planet Fitness membership for days when I couldn’t make the longer drive to my regular gym or for days I slept in. It seems that about 60% of the members here are former Planet Fitness members, with around 25% posing as powerlifters. While there are a few serious lifters, they are in the minority. It’s not unusual to see people dressed head-to-toe in Project Rock gear, performing light dumbbell curls in front of the mirror. The gym also has an influx of light-lifting members filming their workouts, with tripods everywhere, including the sauna. Nothing is worse than being asked to spot someone's 155-pound bench press that is filming it from a tripod.
Additionally, there’s a troubling trend of members engaging in loud phone conversations, playing music, or posing in front of mirrors while lifting minimal weights. Some members are decked out in lifting belts and compression shirts but only lift weights suitable for a middle school student. Wrist wraps are ubiquitous, even for pull exercises. You’ll see people benching 135 pounds in hoodies and then removing them to flex in the mirror.
From observation a few male trainers here seem knowledgeable to their clients. I observed others give poor advice on technique and form, and I’m baffled by how many people pay for training from individuals who clearly lack experience.
The gym has a mix of behaviors that range from annoying to downright bizarre, and it’s become clear that this environment is no longer right for me or anyone that takes this lifestyle seriously or expects a clean environment to work out in.

I honestly should have canceled the moment I saw that you have to cancel your membership in person at this location, but man are they really dishonest about the “no hidden fees” and “transparent pricing”. When I signed up, it said the annual fee was free, not delayed 2 months, and now when I go in person to cancel, there needs to be a manager present (of course they’re not scheduled until later in the day). This isn’t how business should be done in 2024 anymore.

I love the new equipment and functional fitness spaces, but the state of the locker room is appalling.
There are old bandages stuck to the walls of some showers, underwear draped over shower rods, and pink mold growing on the curtains. If you’re curious, ask to see the showers during a tour, and pay close attention to how they respond. Despite mentioning this to staff, nothing has been done.
It seems like they haven’t cleaned the showers since the facility opened—there’s even a bandage that’s been there for ages. I would share photos, but the thought alone makes me gag.
I initially thought poor management was unique to the previous LA location, but it seems this one is following the same pattern.
While I appreciate the variety of equipment and workout spaces, some machines remain out of order for so long that it feels like they’ve forgotten about them or hope members don’t notice.
If these issues aren’t addressed soon, I’ll be forced to post the photos as proof.

I do not recommend signing up for the personal training classes. I got a call before they open to come in for a free training. I’ve never done personal training before and the lady kept trying to negotiate price when I told her they were too expensive. Eventually, I felt pressured to take a plan so I could get out of there at this point. After coming back from a family vacation in July, I asked if I could cancel because it wasn’t in my budget and i the classes hadn’t started yet . They refused to let me cancel after explaining to them I couldn’t afford it. They offered to lower the plan even though I’m not using the classes and told me the payments would stop on august 5th and it’s now Sept. 6th and still taking my money out of my account. They have taken over 600 dollars from me for a service that I said I didn’t want or couldn’t afford and 100 dollars keeps being taken out of my account every 2 weeks since July. I called to get an explanation as to why money keeps coming out of my account and spoke with a Josh and he said he would talk to the manager Nick and never got back to me. It’s a nice gym and nice equipment but I won’t recommend signing up for the training classes.

This gym was deceiving and predatory regarding the waiving of the annual fee. In the fine print, it says that the promotion for new members is that there is no annual fee to sign up. Then, there is a $50 annual fee charge on my account two months after signing up. You also can't cancel your membership and are locked in for an entire year. This is disgusting behavior from a place of health/wellness that has made promises to folks in the community. I can't say I am surprised and should have expected this type of behavior from a corporate gym of this size.

Crunch was built in the old LAFitness space. However it has no pools or court sports. It offers tanning and massage beds instead.
It has, therefore, a lot more free weights. That's fine, but it is light on weight machines especially ab machines This is annoying. So is the overly LOUD music! 🎶
The locker rooms are nicely remodeled, but lack adequate bench seating! Showers redone, but still no shelves for your toiletries.... and weird 🪝 hooks that drop even a light bath towel.
The best feature is "24 hours", but beware, that's not true on weekends!

This by far is the best public gym I’ve ever stepped foot in. Huge area and great floor layout which offers plenty of room to workout even when it’s busy, the staff is always friendly, other members are there for business, they lift and move onto something else rather than hogging equipment and the establishment is very clean. Additionally, there’s tons of equipment! Free weights, free weighted machines, cabled machines, cable towers with attachments and cardio has a wide variety as well. Two different area for boxing, stretching and aerobic/athletic based exercises… just an overall great experience. Well worth your money and time.

Saw a few reviews on here with low ratings because of the channels the TVs are on and because there isn’t a stretching machine. Crazy. Without a doubt this a 5 star gym for me. I am blown away by the amount of space. Some may miss the racquetball courts, pool and basketball courts. For me, what the gym gained as a result is so worth it. I can see myself never having to wait again for anything. What really shocked me was seeing machines (both for cardio and lifting) that I’ve never seen or used before. I have already been able to push myself so much more. The staff has been so helpful too. With all that, Crunch made a charity donation for a fundraiser some of my family is attending. Nate the GM didn’t bat an eye helping me with the charity tasks. As if this wasn’t all enough, the hydromassage has been amazing. Don’t it every time thus far. I haven’t seen any issues with cleanliness but I did see a number to text on the wall in the locker room if things needed attention. More than I can say about LA Fitness. Time will tell but I am absolutely impressed so far.

Very nice staff, the 1 star is for the company in general. Everyone seemed unsure how to go about the waterfront location closing and those like myself who paid the annual fee for this year 2024 to Crunch. They Advised that I was going to need to pay an annual fee for a second time which I advised I will not being doing, I was told that I would get 2 months free as long as my annual fee was just paid this year and I had proof which I brought a print out of me paying April 2024. (Which I hope isn’t the first month free they advertise everywhere) when I was signing up there were a few others who were complaining about their payment to the other gym too which didn’t seem to be resolved considering one customer just said “nevermind it’s just $10”.. I don’t think it’s anyone at this locations fault for this issue but I do feel corporate should make a note at their west mifflin branch for some kind of thorough plan for us who are forced to cancel waterfronts subscription and rejoin crunch over. It shouldn’t be a case by case bases, your managers should be informed on how to handle these kind of issues that would arise with a situation like this that was obviously going to happen. Also Collin at from desk put me on hold on purpose in the middle of talking and didn’t apologize I didn’t feel respected as a customer at all. No ones seemed to answer my question after I signed up again, but again corporate needs a set plan for waterfront crunch customers comming to their new location, I hate to see other customers have this problem as well arise or people being double charged for an annual fee. Just an idea for corporate to come up with a plan for this, thank you.

At first glance, the gym is shiny and new with lots of equipment. However much is to be desired as for cleanliness. There are water bottles and what appeared to be a food container left near the equipment. The locker room & bathroom looks like it hasn't been cleaned all week (hair and dirt all over the floors). Not to mention the cleaning stations aren't being monitored for whether or not the paper towels & sanitizer needs filled (I've come across several bottles of almost empty sanitizer).
The trailer outside advertises 24/7, however I'm told that the gym is open 24/5, but there are only 4 days that one can visit the gym at say 2am(that the gym is actually open).

Super impressive at first glance but lacking in practicality. The cardio floor offers a dozen televisions for those using treadmills but they’re all tuned into one of two channels. If your cardio preference is the elliptical or bicycles ALL of that equipment faces a bare wall. Pretty dumb. Great variety of equipment at your disposal but missing the simple stretch “seat” offered in other gyms (see photo). Disappointing.

Well, trying to see how they work with the people who go there. All the tv's are on the same channel? espn tennis for the two hours I was there/ Who wants to watch tennis for 2 hours? There is no Tbar row. There is no fountain up where the cardio machines are, there used to be, so they removed it. So in the middle of your cardio you have to run downstairs to get more water. There is no treadmill downstairs for the elderly who can't walk the steps. Reference the Tv, I had asked about that, and was told all tv channels are controlled in Colorado. then he added we only get like 10 channels. Dude, La always said the same thing. But the Bridgeville gym had all different channels and local baseball games on when it was on and the penguin games. I just don't know. I can deal with these but, they are not productive for a good gym.

Amazing!! The gym is great and so is the staff! Had my first workout with Grace, one of the personal trainers and she was so knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend working with her because she taught me so much and designed the perfect workout for my target areas.
It’s the cleanest gym I have ever seen and the General Manager, Nate is focused on making sure every gym member has a good experience!
Bonus- it’s so affordable, especially the personal training!

It's new. Takes a little getting use to. Some of the equipment is the same brand as the LA Fitness that was there but obviously newer.
I'm 62,and the newer stuff isn't as ergonomically easy for me (seats lower, harder to get up from, harder to adjust leg press, shoulder press angle changes through range of motion which is hard for me at my age with bad shoulders. I'd just prefer a locked in plane of movement).
The employees are nice. Pretty crowded the past week but it's the new, shiny thing.
Kind of reminds me of the rush every year of New Years resolutioners.

Glad I waited to write a review. At first glance, it's an impressive amount of square footage and equipment, however, after a few workouts it became apparent this club went for quantity over quality. All the cardio machines are base model so there's no fans. I inquired if they were considering getting any kind of large fans or air movement around the the cardio equipment, and they said no. This gym is following the same business models of the surrounding gyms- hiring young staff that are primarily concerned with commissions and socializing, and an ineffective janitorial staff. Empty paper towel dispensers week 1. It's shiny and new now, give it 3 months. Definitely worth the $9.99 a month, but not a lot more.

Best gym in the area especially for the price point. Great atmosphere and amenities. An abundance of machines and free weights. I hope the members take care of this gym so it remains nice for a long time.

I completed a personal training session with Devan today. He was extremely informative/knowledgeable, encouraging, understanding and has such a great personality! I’m looking forward to continuing more training sessions with him! 😃
Extremely friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, the child care is awesome for my little one. It’s included with my membership (So you don’t have to pay daily out of pocket for the childcare) it also has a time limit of 2 hours! Most gyms only offer 1hr! He didn’t want to leave! He loved the built in movie theater for the kids. The gym also offers premium tanning, saunas, 3D body scanner and hydro massage chairs. They’ve all been great experiences. The gym itself is clean and offers a wide variety of over 50 classes and equipment. SO excited to finally have a good gym in the area. Especially for an affordable price. Definitely going to refer everyone here. ☺️

A very nice looking space. However, I won’t be retuning as I was directed to the main desk for assistance to creating my account with the barcode tag. I waited as multiple times employees hung around the desk area. The final straw was when a person opened up they ignored me instead to take someone else. A new signup, which I guess they get compensation for each signup. Obviously, I was not that important to them. If others do go, I hope you have a better experience.

3.0 rating ? The place hasn't opened yet? Strange? I went to the open house day - the gym is huge and full of new equipment.
