Focus Barre and Yoga is fantastic!
I’ve been so impressed with the quality of the classes and the supportive atmosphere. A huge shoutout to Hanna and Sofia — their classes are surprisingly tough in the best way. They give clear directions, alway offer thoughtful modifications for different levels, and always stick with their students, completing each move right alongside them. Their energy and dedication make every class challenging and rewarding!
Also, a big thank-you to Alana, who’s an excellent sub. She keeps great pacing and gives clear commands, making her classes easy to follow and fun.
Focus Barre and Yoga is a welcoming, motivating space — highly recommend it! 💪🧘♀️

I am OBSESSED with the classes at Focus Barre and Yoga. All the instructors are amazing and bring different energy and playlists to each class. I also love the variety of classes offered since I love to switch up my workouts. I would 100% recommend without a doubt. My only regret is not joining sooner!

I’ve been coming to Focus for about 6 months, and I’ve never felt more toned, but more importantly have never felt a greater sense of community among instructors and students. My friends and I stress the importance of having a “third place” outside of work and home to go to for mental and physical health, and I’m so happy I found this as my “third place.”

Really cute and good location. Nice instructors. However the Barre class is like knock off Pilates. Every other Barre class I’ve done involves the Barre and you do dance like movements as your workout. This would be good for someone looking for really small class sizes and only the aesthetic of a Barre class.

Best workout in Philly! An amazing community and the instructors are all wonderful. The 45 min barre class is my absolute favorite - super hard but also low impact. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Did a barre class during a short trip in Philly. SO used to go here for years when we lived in the neighborhood.
For someone who is moderately fit but who has never done barre before, this was quite the workout!
The instructor—Amanda—was clear with instructions and set a good pace. Also had a good playlist.
Met the owner afterwards and chatted a bit about barre studio recommendations in NYC.

This studio offers wonderful barre and Pilates classes in a convenient location. I was in town for a work trip, and the 7:30 classes were a wonderful addition to my daily agenda. Definitely check out Focus Barre and Yoga if you’re a local or visitor.

Focus is the #1 most accommodating studio in the Greater Philly area. Also the best possible workout in 45 minutes. Stress-free owner with 2 hour cancellation policy is better than any you’ll find! (Most studios are 8-12 hours - Focus is way better). Clean, bright, great music, talented instructors. 10/10!
I visit all the countless studios from Philly to West Chester, this is #1 for all of the above reasons. I travel to Philly from Wayne for it. It’s 100% worth the trip every time.

An amazing studio in the heart of Philly! The instructors are all such nice people who give an awesome workout. I like the variety of classes offered and I feel like I never take the same class twice with all the instructors different styles. Great location, clean space, good prices, and overall great experience at Focus!

Best barre studio in Philly! I’ve been taking classes here for over a year now. I absolutely love the studio and all the instructors are amazing. It’s like a little community where everyone knows each other but not in an intimidating way. 100000/10 recommend.

I have attended Barre classes and Focus Barre and Yoga for many years. I enjoy each time with how much enthusiasm and energy each class is taught. I enjoy different moves in almost all classes!
There are classes available at a wide variety of times and all the teachers are encouraging and knowledgeable. The instructors correct your posture, so that you feel a big workout although you do small movements.
The studio feels clean and well maintained. The prices are reasonable, specially when you get a monthly pass.

I've been going to Focus for almost a year now and can't say enough good things about it! I have taken most of the instructors at the studio for both Barre and Pilates Fusion and everyone is kind, encouraging, and happy to offer modifications. The Focus team makes working out fun and enjoyable while also kicking your butt. Every time I leave a class I feel stronger and ready to take my next class!! Since I've started taking classes at Focus, not only do I feel physically stronger but also more confident and excited about working out, which I never thought would happen!

I love this studio. I was going on and off before Covid and I recently decided to get back into group classes. This studio was top of my list. It’s laid back, very friendly, great instructors. I absolutely love the barre 45 class. The owner is also extremely accommodating. I had an issue with MINDBODY and she took time out of her personal day (and kids basketball game) to take my call and fix the glitch. I can’t say enough good things about this studio!

I’ve been going to Focus for nearly 6 months now and have never had a bad class - whether it’s barre, yoga, or pilates. All the instructors are great, they take the time to learn your name and are always so encouraging and friendly. Especially enjoy Emily’s Pilates and Kat’s yoga class!

I love Focus! The instructors are great, there is a wide variety of classes (types as well as schedules), and they added an extensive video library during the pandemic, which has made working out at home so much better. I would encourage everyone to give barre a try here - much more welcoming and beginner friendly than some of the bigger barre chains I’ve tried in Philly.

I’ve tried a lot of yoga/barre studios around the city and this one is my favorite. It’s on the smaller side but I never feel too cramped, they make sure that everyone has enough space to work out. I’ve taken barre with a few instructors and they are all great. Jill is so helpful and is great at helping you fix your posture/moves when you are unsure of what to do. I’ve been taking outside yoga sculpt classes with Jamie at Fitler Square and don’t let the yoga part fool you- this class is incredibly challenging, in the best way. I always leave feeling amazing and stronger than when I arrived.

The workout seems super harmless. It seems like typical girly stuff where you just look cute and only move your body minimally and never sweat.
All of the above are true, except that you're workout is actually killler. LACTIC ACID CENTRAL. I can feel my body sculpting and toning into the next Adriana Lima. (not really but ya know, reach for the moon)
The excerices have a lot of small, easy movements, but its the repetition that makes it burn. You start with arms, move onto legs, onto da booty, end with abs. Recommendation for studio: change up the series. Each time seems to be essentially the same with minor variations and so-so music and instructors don't have their individual flare.
I've done ballet for many years, but don't expect a dance-like workout here. The only things that make it ballet-ish are the barre that you do some non-dance stuff on and you do some pliees.
The instructors are hit or miss. As you can imagine, this is the most uppity studio ever with every girl trying to get her sock bun perfect, etc. Just do your thing and you'll enjoy.
