Joined Fortitude a little over 4 months ago and has honestly improved my life. I was brand new to Crossfit and the coaches have been patient in helping me learn and push myself and I am in noticeably better shape. The workouts change daily and keeps it exciting and challenging.

Best gym in town. (I've tried 4 others)

For a while, I was going to the more conventional gym down the street, and had a really poor experience. I hadn't belonged to a CrossFit gym before, and was skeptical that it would be for me. I was wrong. Fortitude has a warm, welcoming group of people - both trainers and gymgoers.

I was worried about a gym of this size being well enough equipped, but they make fantastic use of the space, and offer more than gyms 5x their size. Its never been a problem.

The staff is attentive and competent - They accommodate all skills levels, and ensure proper warmup/injury prevention and exercises tailored to ability. Nick has helped me in any way that I needed - Body maintenance, diet, working on my weak points, etc.

Best of all, they have a fantastic culture there. Everyone is so friendly and accepting, so you become a part of this awesome community of great people all trying to better themselves together. I typically train alone, and I was worried that I wouldn't like going with a group but there's a lot to be said about the benefits - the structure, the competition, the encouragement.

I'm a pretty well-traveled person as far as my fitness, and I still picked up a lot of new tricks and techniques from this gym. They have time slots with groups, which I would definitely recommend, but if that doesn't work for you, they offer open hours as well.

I absolutely love Fortitude. I had previously herniated some discs in my neck in a bicycle accident and was afraid to lift weights after about 18 months of recovery. I am a spin instructor and personal trainer so I know the value of strength training, but I was really becoming hesitant and fearful of reinjuring myself and hadn’t lifted since my injury. I tried Fortitude on a whim and I immediately loved it. The 30 minute HIIT classes are hard but scalable for different ability levels. After a month of 2-3 HIIT classes/week I VERY nervously ventured into the hour long classes. I am THRILLED with my progress in just 6 weeks. The coaches and clients alike are all encouraging, strict on form, and don’t push you to lift heavier than you’re comfortable. There is a general attitude of inclusiveness and comfort that is a rare find anywhere. I go 3-5 times/week and I have only had incredible class experiences. No frills, just big smiles and fun lifts. The programming is exceptional, a great cross between all of my favorite workouts. I feel really lucky to have found Fortitude, I can’t recommend it enough.

I love everything about fortitude. I consistently do the HIIT workout in the mornings. It’s 30 minutes long and every bit of an awesome workout. I’ve had Nik and Jackson as instructors and they are both motivating and helpful. The prices are really affordable as well.

I was out for a walk and ran into a girl who was a member at Fortitude & Co. She was telling me about how great it was and offered to even do my first class with me so that she could show me the ropes. Mind you we didn’t even know each other and now I could not be happier I ran into her that one day! When I say each person that either works at or trains with you at Fortitude is that genuine and kind it is an understatement. Aside from the amazing community, it is the beat workout I have gotten since college athletics. The coaches are committed to helping you reach any goals you set have that be physical, mental, and even nutritional. I look forward to each day I get to go spend time with the Fortitude & Co. family.

I passed by Fortitude on a run a few months ago and decided to reach out to try a class. I am so happy I did. Fortitude is a wonderful gym. The workouts are challenging but scaled to cater to your fitness level. The owner, Nick, is extremely knowledgeable and helps you reach your specific goals.

Beyond this, the members are friendly, welcoming, and supportive. Before officially joining Fortitude, I tried a few of the gyms in the surrounding area and can confirm that Fortitude is very reasonably priced and they have top-notch measures in place to ensure that the gym is clean and safe.

I am looking forward to when the gym can re-open post-second Philadelphia shut down and couldn't recommend this gym enough!

The coaches here at Fortitude are amazing! I’m new to CrossFit, but all the coaches (mostly work with Fairlane) always take the time to personally train me on every new movement to ensure good form and efficiency. Everyone is so welcoming and encouraging despite being on different fitness levels. Also, they are very good with sanitizing equipments after every use. Overall, it’s been a great experience so far. Highly recommend!

I LOVE this place. Walked by and inquired just before the pandemic. Coach (and owner) Nik provided FREE zoom classes for at home workouts during quarantine. Now we're back in the gym and I can't say enough good things about Fortitude. All three coaches are extremely knowledgeable and encouraging, the workouts are very challenging and wide-ranging, the classes are welcoming and supportive not intimidating or pretentious in any way. Truly a community feel.

I've always worked out alone and never saw the results I wanted. But after just four weeks at Fortitude I already feel like I'm on my way to some real fitness. Highly recommended, amazing value!

Fortidude has easily been one of my favorite gyms I've been a part of. The facility itself is top notch, the community of members is really strong, and the owner (Nik) does such a great job in the programming and overall building a really fun culture. Fortitude has a great location on 2nd street in No Libs and I would highly recommend joining for anyone looking to get into a good workout regimen. In addition to the great workouts... I particularly love the attention, passion, and dedication that Nik puts into the gym. He clearly knows his stuff and even though the workouts are in a class setting, he gives you the detailed attention to continue to improve. One last thing I will give him a shout out for is how responsible and safe he has been during this pandemic period. The cleaning and safety protocols he has in place has made it a really safe setting to go and workout during this tough period of time. Love Fortitude!

If you live in the area or are looking for a gym to drop-in, you should definitely give Fortitude a try. The owner Nik is committed to his members and making everyone the healthiest they could possibly be. I have found that a monthly membership at Fortitude is significantly lower in price compared to other gyms in the same vicinity, which is crazy considering Nik's level of attention to each individual member. During CO-VID, Nik has demonstrated all safety precautions and sanitary measures to ensure member safety. I can safely say that I've finally found my "forever"gym.

I’ve tried a number of different gyms in the greater Philadelphia area over the years and I can confidently say that Fortitude is head and shoulders above the rest. Joining new gyms can be intimidating at times but you won’t have that issue here. Nik and his staff are not only friendly and welcoming but they’re extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. The programming is top notch and there are tons of classes to choose from so it’s not hard to find something suited for you. Last but not least, it’s got a great location on 2nd St. right in the heart of Northern Liberties, making it super easy to grab food/drinks after a workout with your classmates. This gym is amazing! Extremely clean interior, CoVid safety protocols, great programming, excellent coaches, and welcoming members. It is truly a no judgement zone and the trainers scale exercises so that each individual gets their own best workout! Coach Nik takes the time to know each member! Since he knows my strengths, he will discuss appropriate scaling options with me to optimize my workouts. I usually don’t take the time to write reviews but I had a really great experience at Fortitude Fitness and felt the need to share. I am somewhat new to the gym scene and super self conscious but the staff at Fortitude made me feel so welcome. I shared with Nik my personal goals and he made sure I was using the right equipment properly, which was unexpected but so awesome. In addition to the staff being incredibly helpful, the place is clean and spacious with a welcoming vibe. I highly recommend checking it out!
