Well I just went to this gym on Sunday to check it out and I was like a kid in a candy shop. All kinds of cool equipment that other gyms near me just don't have. I had a field day. I was lucky to go on a day they were offering a 3 day pass for 3.00. Sadly the gym is far for me and a too expensive for my liking. But if it was closer I'd consider it to join. Coming from 42 years of lifting and a competitive bodybuilder past, I appreciate a hard core gym. This was it. With cool lighting and mirrors EVERYWHERE - a bodybuilders dream. lol. They have everything weight and machine wise you could need. Bathrooms : cool as hell. I went on a Sunday so it wasn't real crowded or anything. My only complaint would be the music. Definitely close to night club loud and not my taste - but I was able to hear my music through my earbuds. Thank God. I wish the owners would look into finding a location to open one up near me. ( Ardmore / Havertown / Drexel Hill / Overbrook/ Bryn Mawr .... come on guys ! PLEASE !!!

I’ve been coming to this gym now for about six months now. the equipment trash. The customer service trash. The price trash. Everything breaks more and more as I come. I’ve asked for a preacher curl bench from my first month and they still didn’t get one. Not to mention, the manager told me it would take about two months! Doesn’t this guy make his own equipment!? I can’t figure out how someone makes their own equipment and it’s always broken. Welcome to the South Philly location where we are neglected!! I heard the other locations aren’t much better. Not even the front desk is presentable the facia fell off..

Update. Rope for pull downs has more hairs than me! Still no preacher bench that I asked for since I started the gym. And they blocked me on instagram because as a paid customer I wanted to let him know that us as the South Philly location feel neglected.

the equipment is great and its spacey, but don’t go to this gym if you are used to being in a competitive or collegiate weight room. while they may have everything you need, the management is lacking in many areas and it shows through the employees who barely do their job as well. aside from 2-3 employees, no one is monitoring the gym. if you decide to mind your business, not get in others way, and get hype to lift, they might remove you without warning if someone gets uncomfortable. they also say they allow filming but will also allow people to film others in the gym without their consent, not just their own workout which is understandable. its a great gym if the culture and employees would act according to how they market the gym. this gym is not as advertised.

you will genuinely struggle to find a gym with more of the worst people you will ever run into in your life.

every one in here thinks it’s obligatory to work out with out a shirt on, there are literal 14 year olds that look like they weigh under 100lb working out w their shirts off.

all the equipment breaks all the time because no one respects any of it, no one puts the dumbbells back in the right place - partially because the numbers of the weights are hard to read and also because they are just the worst people.

this gym is well priced but it has by far the worst culture of people you will run into at any gym, this place makes the worst CrossFit in the country look like it’s filled with humble individuals.

I switched gyms from Fusion bc I couldn’t stand paying 70 bucks a month for shitty equipment, loud music, and having to worry about the bathrooms being out of order (ridiculous in my opinion). I’m at city fitness now and while not necessarily a body building gym, at least I get towels, massage chairs, MORE equipment than Fusion would ever provide, and working bathrooms all the time. Stop the fusion glaze bc it’s OVERRATED

I’ve been going here for about a year and yes it is better than Planet Fitness, and their couples membership pricing is reasonable. They do have a lot of equipment, but there’s two major drawbacks: 1) the music is concert-level loud so if you want to listen to your own music while working out, you’ll need over-ear noise canceling headphones, and 2) this gym is filled with influencers who take up space, so you will be dealing with tripods and backpacks blocking walking paths and taking up benches and machines. Oh there’s only two free benches? Sorry, but the fitfluencer couple over there need them for their tripod and gym bag.

This is only about the South Philly location. Great staff and good equipment only issue which is very major is people that speed walk to equipment with there tripods and stand there for 10-15 minutes before even using it and then get cocky when you ask them how many sets you have left (like they're even doing any work.) Quick reminder none of you will be influencers and you all do it for 100 at most people to see. Don’t get mad when someone walks in-front of your tripod cause you are not famous and no one knows who you. The only reason even half of the people go here is because it is the only have decent gym in south Philly.

Gym looks good the when you walk in, but after a few days and looking around you can tell it’s a honeypot. Equipment looks decent but is cheap and malfunctioning and un kept.
Aesthetically this gym is fine, but everything else is lacking. They’re updating parts and ignoring the glaring issues.

The locker rooms are a major problem, 90 percent of the lockers in the men’s room are malfunctioning or broken. For a 70-120 dollar a month gym it’s insane this hasn’t been addressed and is frankly ignored by management and on social media.

More than half of the cardio machines are busted, unusable or turned off.

The music is insanely loud, distractingly and annoyingly loud. I’m not an old man, I don’t mind the music but I shouldn’t be able to have it flood my ears with noise canceling headphones phones. An easy fix and a constant complaint that’s ignored. Almost everyone in the gym has headphones in. We don’t need it to be this distracting.

Have heard their AC is busted badly. Hopefully in the spring time it won’t be unbearable again.

If this wasn’t the only option in the area I would not be a patron. Soon will lose my patronage and have a strong advocate against this business. Fix it.

The gym is nice on the inside but some of the staff are horrible. I had a situation at this gym with one of the trainers Ciera and was treated unfairly… a new trainer by the way & they act like you can’t speak your mind on how you feel I just feel like it was all wrong and it’s all about the money because as soon as the lady Tracy revoked my membership- she goes on to say that I can go to any of the other locations except the south Philly one she’s very biased and you can tell this her first time having some type of authority but she uses it to her advantage & that trainer lied on me & I know that won’t be the first time she does it. Christian was cool until he rolled his eyes while I was explaining my side of the story which they didn’t care to hear because they said they have jobs & couldn’t listen to me all day. It’s like what I had to say didn’t matter they believed the trainer and I had text messages to even prove I never threatened her. The only one I respected is the guy with the little braids in his hair I don’t know his name I wish I did but when I asked him questions he didn’t lie I felt like he had my back but he couldn’t say much because he didn’t wanna lose his job. This gym is a influencer gym all they do is make videos and take pics and they don’t wipe off the machines & it’s all about the money I’m actually glad my membership was revoked because I’ll save over $200 bucks now!!! This is the best gym I've ever been to. It's all about working out. No fluff. The Best equipment. At least 18 squate/bench stations. At least 18 bench press/ incline bench press stations. Best machines that I've ever seen before; they make you feel great. I've had my best workouts here because there's enough space to actually work out. You're not waiting for equipment. Love the vibes of the gym! Very very elegant, I’ve been there everyday for the open house and love every moment of it. 4 stars because there aren’t enough wipe down stations there’s a few but u really have to look for it. Also what makes the place stand out is all the mirrors and great lighting that they have.

I have never been to a gym where I never had to wait for a squat rack or bench press until I joined Fusion. Even at peak hours, I never had to wait for my compound lifts. Uncommonly I may have to wait or choose a different lift if I am looking to use one of the dumbbell benches during peak, since there are proportionally less of them.

For whatever reason, their central air is not working so they have two large HVACs at the emergency exit doors. Probably a fire hazard. Not sure while they can't just fix the central air to do away with those (there is extensive piping in the ceiling).

One unfortunate aspect of this gym is that there are a lot of people with phones on tripods recording themselves work out. Sometimes they are interacting with the phone as if they are streaming on tiktok. Not my thing and would rather not be in these recordings.I guess the acceptance of this would be a perk if you are looking to make fitness insta/tiktok content.

12/2024 Update
Gym has gotten a bit busier at this point. Starting to be difficult to find benches in the dumbbell area during peak evening times. Dumbbells not being put back properly. Locker room also starting to get a bit wrecked already. Most of the lockers (which have touchpad based locking mechanisms) are busted with most of the battery doors + batteries missing. Still the best option around the city with parking but wish they would take a bit better care of things to keep it classy.

Over all fairly clean until recent invasion of the wave of former blink members who leave their trash all over the gym, fruit cores and banana peels and half finished drinks from the people who have not acclimated to living in another country where we throw our trash in the proper place, the trash cans located all over the gym. I literally found a banana peel at one of the many squat racks... ironic but not funny, also guys that attend should keep your shirt on. I don't appreciate Mr pimple backs shirtless and stinky using equipment with no wipe down when done their 10 second set to pose in the mirror for 2 minutes and take pics.

This is easily the best gym in Philly. All new equipment and nice machines. I never have to wait for a bench or squat rack. I’ve worked out at a lot of different places all over the world, but the ambiance at Fusion is levels above them all. The staff does a tremendous job keeping the gym clean, and Lyric is always at the front desk to greet you with positive energy.

Only knock on this gym is that whoever has the AUX is a huge Aubrey fan (I ain’t mad at ya, I was too in my younger days). Just make sure you bring some nice headphones, turn your music up, and enjoy your workout!

No AC for most of the summer despite charging premium rates. Equipment is cheap yet surprisingly functional. Lockers are mostly broken and sauna is usually inoperable. Advertises no contracts but sends you to collections if you cancel your card (I don't even want to know how much of a PITA it is to cancel the proper way). Don’t even bother coming here. The lockers are battery powered and aren’t regularly changed. Had someone steal $1,000 from my wallet in my locker. I know I locked it. Funny part is I was only at the gym for 30 mins so it would’ve been pretty easy to narrow down who went in the locker room after me in those 30 mins that I was there. Employees told me there’s nothing they can do but ask around and see if anyone saw someone go in my locker. Refused to check the cameras. It was probably them who went through my stuff. Planet fitness got better lockers literally what is this. Fusion do better!

The gym is great as far as the equipment, atmosphere, and lighting are concerned. There is plenty of squat racks, benches, and free weights. The sauna also has lots of space and is always on, which is convenient, although it would be nice if it was a little hotter.

The gym does have some issues it needs to address though. The music is too loud, especially considering 90%+ of the gym is wearing their own headphones anyway. Half of the men’s lockers seem to be locked even when no one is there, and the other half are just broken. Even when you find one that’s open and works, it will occasionally mess up your pin and you’ll need assistance to open it. Additionally, the men’s room doesn’t have paper towels, which is inconvenient, and also only has 2 stalls for the entire gym, both of which always seem to be clogged. For $80 a month, I shouldn’t have to walk down the street to use the restroom.

Let me say, had high hopes. The gym itself isn’t bad, but not a huge upgrade from a planet fitness. The real issue is the people that go here. No one wipes down their machines after using them (not even the trainers!), no one reracks their weights and if they do they’re mixed up (5,35,45,10) to a point where you’ll spend more time getting the right weights on than you do doing a set. Simply put this gym encourages more tripods and ego lifting than BASIC GYM ETIQUETTE. They’re another ABC owned gym so cancelling is about to be a whole thing. For 80 bucks a month this is NOT worth your time or money, and as long as your card clears they have no interest in correcting these dirty and inconsiderate issues. Because as I said above the trainers don’t even wipe machines down so we have a culture of this not a few bad experiences.

Not a Queer Friendly gym. Was told by management that I could not use my preferred locker room, not because of any altercation or incident, but because another gym goer had simply asked about my identity. This is, of course, illegal in the city of Philadelphia, which I did bring to their attention. But I still chose to cancel my membership, as I do not want to be a patron at a gym that doesn't observe anti-discrimination laws.

....The Smith Machines sucked anyway.

I really liked this gym until their central air broke. It’s been two months now and it’s still broken. They have temporary AC units but it doesn’t make much of a difference on days where it’s above 85 degrees outside. It’s been very uncomfortable to work out at this gym during summer. They had signs up during beginning of July that the HVAC system would be fixed by the end of the month. It’s now almost September and the signs are taken down but it’s obvious that their HVAC system is still broken. It a beautiful space with nice equipment and kind staff, but the poor air circulation/high humidity/high temp in the gym makes it unbearable to work out and causes overexertion from overheating. When it gets crowded after 5pm, it gets even hotter in there. There’s also been a few times I had to leave the gym as soon as I got there because I would find out that the toilets/sinks and water fountains aren’t working due to plumbing issues. Most of the time, the bass from the gym’s music is so strong and loud that I can hear it through the noise cancellation on my AirPods which can be really annoying because I can’t hear my own music. For the price that you pay for the membership, you wouldn’t expect these kinds of issues to happen consistently. I really hope these problems can be resolved because I want to stay as a customer here.

Coming from Planet Fitness, this place is like Heaven. I don't have to wait for machines, and it has everything that I need. I like the no-nonsense payment schedule, which is a breath of fresh air considering many gyms like to get cute with their plans. The only downside is that the people often don't wipe down their equipment, but that's also an issue with many gyms out there.

This gym is good and I enjoy coming here. The staff are great and the equipment is good for all of my workouts. It would be a lot better if the punching bags were still up and could be set up as soon as possible.

Hottest gym I've ever been in, no AC. Blaring music. Decor is very cheesy as well. Backlit green marble all over the place. Sketchy area but heat was definitely the make or break. Been working out for 8+ years and had to leave here mid workout bc I was that overheated. I'm in very fit shape so this was some next level heat. Its a very large space so my guess is management is trying to save money on HVAC for the summer. May be worth coming back in winter

Staff is super friendly and welcoming, but refusing to turn on the AC and allowing the gym to be absolutely sweltering all the time is insane, especially for the price point. Went in for a workout the other day when it was 96 degrees out and they didn’t have the air on. They had the doors propped open and it was hotter inside than out. Had to cut my workout short because I was worried about heat overexertion.

Ive been a member of this gym for a little under three months, and I'm increasingly disappointed with the saunas. Not only are they gross, At the Grant location, the sauna is almost always out of order when I visit. Unfortunately, the same issue exists at the Fairless Hills location. Given that I pay $50 a month for my membership, I feel like I'm not getting the full value of the services promised. I hope the management addresses this issue promptly and ensures the facilities are maintained properly.

Nice Gym & Closer than the others if you’re visiting from surrounding states south of 95. But PLEASE get the Air circulation correct throughout the gym . After a while it’s unbearable and it depletes your session because you will be drained from the heat .

Don’t go to these “influencer” gyms, complete waste of money. You can get the same workout at a $10-20 a month gym and save so much money. Sure it wont be as pretty or aesthetic than this place but who cares? You’re there to workout not take pictures. After a few months of going here and the awe of the gym’s aesthetic wears off you will be wondering why you’re spending so much money for a gym membership lol. Also, once equipment starts breaking they’ll take forever to fix it because of how expensive rent and other bills are.

I never write reviews but I’ve been coming here since they opened. In the beginning it was a great experience. It’s only been a little over a month or two. Equipment is already falling apart. It’s always 80 degrees in here and they never turn the air on. I come early in the morning because it’s packed at night. Most morning I come in and turn right around because the music is so loud you feel it in your feet. I bought noise cancellation headphones to use instead of my AirPods but it didn’t make a difference. I can’t hear my music or audiobook over the noise. The speakers shake your insides. It’s the equivalent of standing front row at a concert. And if you don’t like rap music you’re not going to enjoy the concert experience. I am ready to go back to planet fitness. This gym ruins my mood every time I step in the door. It’s beautiful, but it’s not worth it.

Such a clean and spacious environment to work out. There is a surplus amount of equipment and you shouldn’t have to wait for a machine which is the nicest part. 24 hour also is so beneficial.

Been here since day 1 and the place is amazing but it’s not perfect. The lockers barely work in the men’s locker room and I think there a bit too many squat racks and very few cable machines. It does get a bit hot in the building which is kinda disappointing. It also gets a bit crowded but that’s understandable and the sauna is subpar in my opinion. I also think the $69 a month price is not justified since it does not have the same features that the other fusion gyms have. Other than that I think this location is great.

Not really ever overcrowded, spacious enough, with a clean facility. The wannabe gym influencers recording every workout can be annoying, but it probably doesn’t bother most people. This place has no air conditioning it seems like though. And the equipment seems to be falling apart already. Otherwise most of the equipment is fine. Way too many squat racks, which is a rarity to say for most gyms. I used to think there can never be too many because most gyms dont have enough, but this gym is the exception. Many other things they could have fit such as more pec decks or other chest equipment or even a few more cable equipment. I don’t use the turf but I believe it is smaller than the other locations, it could have been made wider since I always see people on there. Not sure who did the flooring but they did a terrible job. Theres tape everywhere on the floor which usually would be a red flag. For the price, the gym could be better but it still has potential since it’s new. And to be honest there’s nothing around unless you don’t want to take yourself serious at planet fitness.

Great atmosphere, training areas, aesthetics etc. however the cardio equipment is severely neglected in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. I think the biggest cause of this is not accessibility with spray bottles and trash cans but staff are not cleaning or checking cardio equipment regularly.

This the type of place you see instagram content creators workout at. This gym is so amazing and high tech and clean I recommend if you’re in the south Philly area. They are open 24/7. There’s lots of parking. There’s also a sauna.

Upgraded to Fusion after going to PF for one year. This gym is massive! I love the amount of equipment available and the space allows for people to have their own space when working out. The staff is awesome. The membership is on the expensive side, so you know everyone that goes is taking their workouts serious! Everyone is super nice and always willing to spot you if you need it. It’s a plus that it’s content creator friendly. So if you don’t want to be caught in the background of someone else’s video, then be sure to take that into consideration if you’re thinking about getting a membership.

Best gym I’ve ever seen! Clean, equipment is super modern and made by fusion gyms, plenty of different machines so you aren’t waiting to get a set in. Locker room is top tier. Best gym in south Philly, the ac and lighting could be improved. But otherwise the workouts are amazing and the workers are so kind and friendly my personal favorites are my guy Joey and Shaide, Joey and shaide has helped me improve my form and gave me tips on some of my workouts. Overall 5/5 gym just needs to fix the ac and improve the lighting.
