Can’t say enough about this facility or the staff that runs it! I’ve played competitive sports for 20+ years and worked with hundreds of coaches. I love the small group format. It's not like a class -- we each go at our own pace with versions and weights for each exercise that are appropriate to us individually. It's totally personal but without the awkwardness that sometimes goes along with 1:1 training. Zach is amazing -- super observant, and helpful, and knowledegable.

I can’t say enough great stuff about the work that Zach and Drew are doing at G-Strength NoLibs. I joined the program about 10 months ago after many years out of the gym. I feel great physically and mentally. The small group personal training model has allowed me to get the coaching I needed while also giving some schedule flexibility. The exercises offer a lot of variety and challenge and they rotate frequently enough to keep it interesting. Zach cultivates a good vibe and I always enjoy my time in the gym.

Joining G-Strength has completely transformed the way I view fitness. As someone who’s never enjoyed the atmosphere of large chain gyms and has always preferred working out at home or outdoors, I was hesitant to try something new—but G-Strength has far exceeded my expectations.

Despite being a fairly intelligent person (I swear I am), the moment I walk into the gym, my IQ drops dangerously low. It’s like my brain clocks out and leaves me to fend for myself in a sea of math I didn’t sign up for—“Wait, how much do I add for 145lbs?” Luckily, Coach Zach is there, laughing with me (okay definitely AT me), never frustrated, just deeply entertained by my complete inability to be a functioning adult.

Zach knows exactly what each of us needs that day, whether it’s adding another 5lbs, adding a swing to a kettlebell clean, or staying put. He explains movement in such clear, simple ways that anyone can understand the why behind it. He doesn’t just personalize each workout for each person. He knows every member on a personal level, asking about family, travel plans, or your dog that doesn’t want to help you achieve your fitness goals. He also remembers that time you sarcastically said you’d rather do bear crawls over side planks…and makes you do them. What a gift.

Zach hypes you up not just when you hit a new PR, but when you show up on 4 hours of sleep, everything hurts, and are surviving. He celebrates your effort, your consistency, and your willingness to keep showing up, even when your brain can't do math and your arms are noodles.

Oh, and let’s not forget the Questions of the Day. Nothing bonds a group of sweaty strangers like “What’s your favorite frozen pizza company?”

TLDR: I’m the strongest I’ve ever been thanks to Coach Zach and G-Strength. Just please don’t ask me to do math. I’m here to lift weights, not solve equations.

The best workout you will get in all of Philly! I have been working with Zach for years and I have followed him to different gyms around the city because that is how great he is. I recently started working with Drew and he is an excellent coach too. I genuinely enjoy my workouts here, and love how motivated I feel to achieve my goals. Have you ever had the "if I was rich conversation, I would have... XYZ?" Well, one of my XYZs would include having a personal trainer. G-Strength gets me close to that personal training wish without paying big bucks. The class size at G-Strength is small enough to give you the right amount of personal attention. The instructors are personable and knowledgeable. They will modify your training if you have any pre-existing issues (mine is low back pain - ugghh). Check out G-Strength if you want to kick-start your fitness journey. Stop in for a visit like I did and get your "fit" on.

I can’t say enough great things about my experience at G-Strength! I’ve done a lot of different workout classes in the past, but this truly feels different in all the best ways. Classes are small and Coach Zach is so hands on, it really does feel like a personal training session with a few other people. The focus is on form and doing what makes sense for your body, not just going as fast as possible. You are able to go at your own pace and there are so many variations for each exercise, free of any judgement or competition. I’m lifting more than I ever thought possible and have done it in a safe and fun way. The workouts are challenging, but I always leave feeling accomplished and looking forward to the next one. Highly recommend giving it a try, regardless of where you are at in your fitness journey - you won’t regret it!

So I went and I hit it off right away with Zack only after six sessions I feel solid and had my first practice today and the games start Monday

Joining G-strength is one of the best decisions I’ve made recently. It has afforded me consistent, challenging strength training, in a way I would not have achieved on my own. Zach is a fantastic coach and I love his upbeat attitude and commitment to my success. My three favorites things are: 1) The workouts are tailored to my individual ability and needs so all the exercises feel accessible, yet challenging. Zach does a great job of providing a progression sequence so that I can level up as appropriate. 2) The small group setting offers the best of both worlds; working out at my own pace while surrounding by others. The groups are sized nicely to allow for individual attention and answering questions. Zach is attentive to everything happening on the floor and focused on correcting form or providing tips when needed. 3) The flexibility of the membership plan. As someone who travels regularly, I appreciate not having to stress about missing sessions or paying cancellation fees.

I love this personal group training concept and I love Zach! I like working out with other people but still doing my own thing and Zach does such a great job making sure to keep an eye on everyone in the small group session. What means the most to me is that he still pushes me (even though I complain) and makes sure I have proper form so I don’t hurt myself. I’ve been a pretty active person my whole life doing various competitive and recreational sports so I’m not unfamiliar to injuries and how much they suck. I’ve also learned a bunch of new workouts since they use such a wide variety of effective equipment. Love it here!

Zach is an absolutely wonderful coach. No matter your fitness level he will be able to coach you through just about any workout. I worked with him at a different G-Strength location (shoutout Logan Square) and whenever I had trouble Zach was
there with modifications on my technique or form that made such a big difference.

G-Strength is a place for small group coaching and I always felt at home going to G-Strength. It’s as close as you can get to one on one coaching without breaking the bank. Once you get to know the other people in the groups it becomes such a fun social and fitness experience.

I have since moved to California, but I will always remember G-Strength as a place that helped motivate me on my fitness journey when my personal life was incredibly hard.
