I recently dropped in at Gracie Allegiance Jiu-Jitsu while visiting Pittsburgh and it was FANTASTIC! The instructors and students were welcoming, the class was well-structured with a great mix of technique and rolling, and the facility was super clean.
I would highly recommend this gym for anyone in the area and I'm looking forward to coming back.

I can’t say enough good things about the last few months I’ve spent training at Gracie Allegiance. From the very first trial class, I felt like I had found a place where I could safely learn a new skill and challenge myself. As an instructor in another field, I am continually impressed by the coaches at this gym. They work together to present information and techniques in a way that is approachable to all students. They are quick to assist students with individualized attention, even during larger classes, and prioritize safety for all students.
With classes offered 7 days a week and morning and evening classes available, I can always get to the gym to train, even with an ever changing schedule. I am enjoying the process of learning a new skill and getting to know some really great people at the same time. If you’re on the fence about trying it out, just check this gym out. If you’re a woman who is curious about jiu jitsu, you can’t find a more welcoming place in the area to start your training journey!

I started training at this amazing academy in August of 2023 with my wife, Stephanie. From day 1 we have felt welcomed, supported, and appreciated. I had never trained in a martial art or combat sport other than a few weeks of gym class wrestling back in high school and from the moment I stepped on the mats at my first class I knew that BJJ and this particular academy was something special. I have never felt intimidated or out of place since joining and training here is now one of the highlights of my week, every week. If you are thinking about learning BJJ, Judo, or striking for your health and fitness, for self-defense, to bolster your self confidence, with plans of competing, or a little of all of the above, I genuinely cannot recommend joining us and giving it a try more.

I visited one time, coming from an affiliate gym (also under gracie allegience, but in Chicagoland). The people here were super welcoming and nice. I emailed prior, and just stopped in for a couple of hours, but the instructor for the day knew who I was by name. The gym members all had a strong wrestling background. Rolls were tough, but nobody was a jerk. Great place to train!
It is on the upper level inside the mall, near a JC Penny, from what I recall.

I can’t say enough about the people and this place! Rebecca, Jeremy and Wolfe are not only quality professors, they are quality people! They treat every member with respect, kindness and dignity regardless of skill level. The atmosphere and relationships reinforce the bjj culture. No matter your goals, there is something for everyone one! If there were more stars, I’d give them!

I've been to a few schools in the area and this is by far the best around. They have morning and evening classes, 7 days a week. The instructors are great, everyone is welcoming with no egos

My son and I started with Gracie Allegiance in February of 2024 for their Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes and their Judo classes. We have progressed tremendously in the short time we've been going here. The coaches are extremely supportive, and work at everyone's unique pace. The other practitioners are also great to work with, and never make you feel intimidated, or like you're drowning. I highly recommend this gym to any family, beginner, or person interested in immersing themselves in BJJ without feeling like they're in a grindhouse.

Absolutely love my experience at Gracie Allegiance BJJ! The coaches are knowledgeable and supportive, creating a welcoming environment for all skill levels. The training is challenging yet fun, and I’ve made great friends along the way. The school is made up of a great blend of quality people from different backgrounds.
Highly recommend it to anyone looking to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu!
If you are curious give it a shot. You may end up with a new healthy addiction.

This gym is my second home. Rebecca and all other instructors are outstanding people and the classes are structured in a way that everyone from beginner to advanced can benefit from it. The gym atmosphere is perfect. No big egos or cult mentality. Flexible hours, affordable price, seminars with big names in the jiu jitsu world, teammates that are always willing to help, clean mats, clean changing rooms and clean bathrooms, easy parking. I highly recommend this place!

I attended a nogi class and really liked it. Everyone was friendly and laid back. The coach gave specific instructions and demonstrations as well as guidance while we were practicing different techniques. I enjoyed rolling with everyone as well. I'll be back the next time I vacation in the Greensburg area!

I’ve been training with Rebecca and Jeramy for about a year now and I would recommend our academy to anyone and I do recommend it daily. We have 6+ purple and brown belt instructors that are all knowledgeable and phenomenal instructors and people. Our team is like a family and everyone is welcoming, safe, and fun to train with. We have classes every day, including women’s self defense on Saturdays and Judo classes three days a week.
Whether you’re looking to get in shape, learn self defense, have fun, or compete in tournaments this is the place for you. Come try a class for free and you won’t regret it!
