I’m extremely disappointed with the treatment my father received today at LA Fitness. He has been a loyal member for over 15 years. He works out regularly and enjoys the jacuzzi as part of his routine.

Today, the pool instructor on duty, Patricia Butcher, behaved in an unprofessional and unacceptable manner. She insisted that my father—who is over 55—walk all the way around the pool rather than simply walking behind her. He wasn’t interfering with her class in any way; he was just trying to enter the jacuzzi. Even after he declined to take the long route and calmly got in the jacuzzi, she continued to chastise him while teaching her class.

What made the situation even worse was her comment about his faith. My father is a man of faith and wears a cross, and for her to tell him “you’re not a man of faith” was wildly out of line, disrespectful, and completely inappropriate for any staff member to say to a paying member.

After 15 years of membership, this is the first time my father has ever been treated like this, and it left him very upset. Based on this experience alone, I’m giving this gym one star. I will also be taking this matter to the corporate level, and I am encouraging my father to cancel his membership after the way he was disrespected.

This level of customer service is unacceptable, and LA Fitness needs to address this immediately.

I’ve had such a great experience at LA Fitness Bensalem, especially thanks to Danielle, Dawn, and Tim. Danielle’s Pilates class is truly a standout — she explains movements clearly, keeps the energy positive, and makes the workout accessible whether you’re a beginner or more experienced. I always leave her class feeling stronger, more balanced, and motivated.

Dawn has also been incredibly helpful. Any time I’ve had questions — whether about equipment, classes, or just navigating the gym — she’s been friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. It really makes a difference to have someone so approachable.

And Tim is incredibly knowledgeable as a personal trainer. He breaks things down in a way that makes sense, focuses on proper form, and tailors advice to your goals. You can tell he really knows his stuff and cares about helping members improve safely and effectively.

Overall, the staff goes above and beyond, and Danielle, Dawn, and Tim are a big part of why I enjoy coming in. Highly recommend!

The gym is an okay gym overall, but the sauna is absolutely terrible — it smells like someone took a dump in it. First of all it feels dirty when you get into the sauna, the wood inside is falling apart and doesn’t even feel sturdy or safe. Whoever is running this location clearly has no clue, and honestly, I should just cancel my membership and head over to Fusion instead.

I complained about being billed for several months after I stopped personal training. They apologized to me and said the manger was fired for reinstating training sessions after people stopped, inorder to get the Commission.
They said he was arrested and they would gladly give me my money back. When I followed up they would only refund part of my money.
I was on disablity at the time.
I will not give them my business again . I would not recomend them.

Tired of these gyms loaded with kids posing in the mirror and taking up equipment.

Also tired of women inappropriately dressed for attention. Management needs to address these two issues.

Dislike them reducing hours after the covid restriction. My monthly fee didn't reduce, but accessible hours did. BS.

Equipment is good. I'm grandfathered in to $25 a month. Not sure what the monthly rate is today. Anything more than $30, go find a whole in the wall gym that's serious about what it does

But the staff is great and Megan is awesome. Friendly and knowledgeable.

Not my home club. The staff was friendly and accommodating however there was not really any variety in the equipment. It’s a very small location and it seems like everything is just pushed wherever it fits. The PT area is bigger than the actual floor. I’m in the PT program at my home gym and was told to leave the PT area (by a member). I waited 20 minutes to get on the hip adductor machine because a woman was sitting on it scrolling on her phone. Again, there is only one of these machines in the entire building. The only reason I won’t give a lower rating is because the staff is very good. The clientele however is not.

Dirty, dust on a lot of the machines, men’s sauna hasn’t been cleaned in what looks like months. Would take about 35 minutes to get the sauna nice and clean, pure laziness.photo shows a pile of dirt on the floor in the sauna that’s been there for over a week. The quality of service at this LA Fitness location in Huntington Valley has significantly declined over the past month. The gym has become very dirty, especially in the locker rooms and workout areas. Equipment is poorly cleaned, and soap and toilet paper are often missing in the showers. I’m disappointed with the lack of hygiene, especially considering the membership cost. I hope management takes steps to improve the situation

I visited this location over the weekend for the first time to determine if I really wanted to make this my gym. Before I worked out, one of the staff members informed me that I was out of guest passes and I will need to join. After multiple attempts to sign up with a membership, the representative mentioned that a general manager by the name of Christopher(Chris) will process the payment a different way for me. I eventually finished my workout and left before hearing from the GM. After waiting long to hear back from Chris, I decided I didn’t want to make a quick decision. Once he became in contact with me, I told him I wanted to weigh my options. In the midst of me conversing, Chris interrupted me in a rudely manner and eventually told me “If you don’t want to be consistent with your Fitness goals that’s on you” then proceeded to hang up in my ears. I felt so disrespected. I get that they have a certain quota to reach with the number of sign ups but after my experience, I will never sign up with this particular gym. I went ahead and signed myself up with another gym in the area that same day after the treatment I received. Looks like I am being consistent with Fitness goals after all….just NOT with your gym.

I visited the club from out of the area, on a Sunday morning around 830am. The staff member at the front desk was helpful and accommodating during check in. She advised me of my options for the day and encouraged me to enjoy my workout. I was able to enjoy my workout due to the availability and variety of equipment at my disposal. The club wasnt too busy and everyone seemed motivated. The option to grab a protein drink/smoothie at the venue was also a plus. If ever in the area again I will choose to visit this club in particular due to the cleanliness, friendliness, and variety of equipment.
