Here at LXF we teach functional movement patterns, or movements that you find in real life – pushing, pulling, squatting, jumping, throwing, carrying, and sprinting.
We also have obstacle course racing training, for adults and kids!

Coach Aliyah is the BEST! I just completed her 6 week Rip it and Grip it program and it was awesome! 2 days a week that I could do when it fit my schedule and it really made a difference! For any Spartan race enthusiasts out there I just finished up the trifecta weekend at Mt Vernon NJ and I FINALLY was able to get up and over Stairway to Sparta with no boost help from my fellow racers! Being able to finally be able to grip and hold those slippery rock wall holds and being able to do pull ups on them to get up on over was the best feeling in the world. All the hard work really paid off and Coach Aliyah’s program and expertise was invaluable. Cannot recommend her enough!!

After a hiatus of about 4 years I was ready to get back but was admittedly nervous. Like most people I was concerned with it being too hard or the community not being welcoming. I’ll start by saying the community is hands down the best. No one is judgmental, everyone is encouraging, and there isn't any cattiness. There are no egos and everyone is genuinely there to better themselves. Next, there is no better coach than Aliyah. She takes the time before each workout to teach you and give you the chance to practice the movement, and will work with you on scaling until you become efficient. She is very attentive and proficient with the movements she teaches, and remains patient even if you struggle to pick up on things. She’s a great motivator and friend. LXF has become a huge part of my life and daily routine, and ever since I’ve been consistently going I’ve seen improvements in other areas of my life as well. Highly recommend!!

Aliyah Emas has a passion for coaching and fitness, and both empathy and a desire to help people improve their fitness, no matter at what level they start. She is personable, and coaches with both a sense of responsibility and humor. We have had multiple good coaches at Crossfit Proven; one of the things my wife and I appreciate is her insistence on proper form, both to maximize benefit of each movement and to prevent this 60'ish couple from getting hurt.

She is sensitive to our physical state each day we come in, and accommodates our limitations when injured, and our willingness to grow when healthy. She knows how to push us a little further each appointment. Aliyah is a real professional you can trust.

Did a drop-in class today after calling earlier. I got to speak with Aliyah and she was wonderful! Sometimes when I travel I don’t have the best luck reaching someone at other places. She was responsive and an excellent coach. After class, Aliyah even took the time to show me some things to work on my range of motion. I’ve been working on strengthening my leg after surgery earlier this year and I really appreciated her help. Next time I’m in town, I’ll be sure to return!

I had a remarkable transformation after signing up for the virtual Murph program from League of Xtraordinary Fitness!

I started the virtual Murph program from LXF about a month before this past Memorial Day --to honor our fall brothers and sisters. As someone whose cardio, endurance, and strength were dwindling, the promise of reviving my fitness levels to match my prime Army days was all too enticing.

With my physical state far from ideal, I embarked on the test Murph, a demanding workout that took me over 94 minutes to complete. But the beacon of hope was lit, and I was determined to follow their meticulously crafted workout plan for the ensuing weeks. The effort was absolutely worth it. The tangible progress I made was a 21-minute reduction in my Murph time, a testament to the efficacy of the program and the science behind it.

But the physical benefits were only part of the story. What truly struck me about the virtual Murph program was its impact on overall quality of life. As a full-time employee and student at Georgetown School of Foreign Service, the grueling demands of work and school are enormous. The program, remarkably, boosted my inner-motivation and energy levels, helping me stay productive and focused throughout the day.

In addition, although very odd, I noticed a marked improvement in chronic joint pains that had been nagging me for quite some time. Though I'm unsure of the exact mechanism through which the program managed this, likely the scientific knowledge behind it, the relief was palpable and deeply appreciated.

I think the virtual Murph program is not just an exercise routine—it is a holistic fitness solution. It didn't merely meet my exercise needs; it exceeded them, and offered unexpected benefits that transformed my life in a matter of weeks. It's a program that offers much more than strength, endurance, and speed—it grants a heightened sharpness, enhanced energy levels, and improved overall health. I highly recommend this program to anyone seeking a comprehensive solution for not only their physical fitness needs, but also better their overall quality of life. It's an investment that yields dividends in forms more than one can anticipate.

Bottom Line Up Front: This coach & gym gets results!!

A couple months ago I decided to tackle the MURPH on Memorial Day. I was training off/on, but didn't really have a solid plan. I had heard great things about Aliyah and her training programs, so I decided to give her a call. Best decision ever!! Before we started, we had a quick phone call about my goals, schedule, equipment and any movement modifications necessary and then we got to work. She masterful crafted a 6 week training program that accounted for my current fitness level and pushed me to the limit every week until the day of the event. On the day of, I felt really strong and confident after all the work we put in over the 6 weeks and improved my time by over 15 minutes (compared to a practice run before the programming)!

In summary, this gym and Aliyah gets results and you'll love working with her every day!

Aliyah is an unbelievable trainer. Proven in Downingtown has got me working out safer and harder. After only three days I feel my muscles getting more toned and my posture is better. The gym is very clean and organized and they make it easy to track your progress and pay with Venmo app. Highly recommend if you’re new to CrossFit like me! The 6am classes fit my lifestyle perfectly.

I’ve been going to CrossFit Proven for little over a month now and have had a great experience so far! Every coach is extremely helpful and patient with CrossFit beginners like myself, and they all make sure you are using the correct technique to make the most out of a workout.

I definitely recommend the on-ramp personal training program with coach V before beginning CrossFit classes. It helps you build the basis of different weightlifting and movement techniques before going right into a class without any prior practice.

This review is long overdue. Stopped in here last month as a guest and was greatly impressed. The facility and equipment are amazing. More importantly the people are so welcoming and supportive. So many coaches and members stopped over and introduced themselves. Special thanks to Matt who I believe is the owner. Took care of my wife and I, got us set up quickly and into the wod. Would highly recommend this place if you are passing through in need of a workout. And most definitely consider joining if you live local. It is clearly a great atmosphere.

I’ve played with the idea of crossfit for a long time, but between work and kids I’ve always put it off. I finally came by two weeks ago and went through the onboarding course with Coach V. I can’t recommend him, or this establishment highly enough. Walking into what I thought would be an somewhat intimidating experience, I was treated by a class full of smiling and helpful faces.
V was awesome and spent time with me in one on one training to make sure I understood all of the basic movements and proper form to execute the moves safely and effectively.
From there the coaches and members have all been awesome. Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful.
Their lunch time classes are a great way to break up my day and burn off some energy.
If you’re looking to get into crossfit, definitely give the team at proven a call.

If you are looking for crossfit in the area, this is the place to be. Supportive and knowledgable coaching staff, well equipped and spacious location, and a community of friends that make you want to get up and go workout everyday. This place isn't just a gym, it's a community of like minded, supportive individuals. When I started I was a nervous wreck, but from day one I had other members cheering me on and telling me I could do it. Now I pay it forward and do the same for new members. On my worst day I walk out with a huge smile on my face. It's the first exercise program I have found that I have stuck with. Matt and Brittany are the owners and they truly care about each and every person who walks through the door.
