Our youngest son has been going for 2 years now. He really loves it there. We’ve been impressed by Sensei Mike from day one. He treats all of his students with such respect, and is a master motivator for them. He has every detail planned out and prepped. The kids are constantly working and learning there. He also really empowers his older students to teach and mentor the younger students. It’s really an impressive place. Can’t say enough good things about Sensei Mike and Magnus Karate!

Magnus Karate is the best! My 9 year old has had such a positive experience there over the last several years. The environment is motivating and challenging, and the teaching team has high expectations for all students. At the same time, learning is scaffolded and students of all abilities and levels are supported throughout the classes as needed and as appropriate. I have been beyond pleased with Sensei Pannulla and his teaching instructors. As someone who took martial arts for 13 years, from a different style, it was hard to find the best place for my two children as I knew what I wanted out of an instructor. My son was having issues in school with being teased and I know karate helped me when I was younger, so I started doing research. Once I found Magnus I was hooked and so excited for my son. August of last year, my wife reached out to Magnus Karate about a trial for my son. After just one class, we signed him up for the beginner classes (7 years old and older). Sensei Pannulla was fantastic, so much so that I told my wife that I wanted to give the adult class a go. It took me a until February to work up the courage to try the adult class... which I regret. I regret taking so long to get started! In fact, my son and I were having so much fun and learning so much that another of my kids wanted to sign up, so now there are 3 of us at Magnus! What's more, my youngest keeps asking to start too, so once he is old enough, there will be 4!

The depth of knowledge that Sensei Pannulla has, both in the practice and history of Shorin Ryu (as well as other forms of martial arts) is astounding. He tailors every class to my skill level, pushing me to learn more at a pace that I'm very comfortable with. The more I interact with him and see him interacting with all of the students, the more impressed I become. I could keep going about the dojo and Sensei Pannulla, but I think you get the picture.

To make a long post short, if you are even thinking of trying out Magnus Karate for yourself or a child, don't wait like I did! You won't regret it.

Our son has ADHD and a host of other learning challenges. Karate has helped to improve his focus and self-esteem. We started at ATA, and quickly found that it was a soul-less corporate machine. Magnus has proved to be about the kids, the learning, and the discipline. Not only is our son happier and more motivated to go, we also get more bang for our buck. Less kids in the class , and 45 minutes for less money than it was for 30 minutes at ATA. Magnus is also in a great, family-friendly facility (ACAC West Chester).
