I never liked gyms, but this place is different. You get professional, personalized attention from the owner, Bill, and staff (especially Tim & Jacob). They design a customized workout plan made for you, & they make sure you are doing the exercises correctly to avoid injury. Other gyms made me feel like a number; this gym makes me feel like part of a family! Highly recommend.

A year ago, I walked into the Motivate Fitness gym for the first time with the goal of increasing my longevity. I was not someone who ever visited the gym or understood a strength and fitness journey. Motivate very quickly became my “happy place”. The staff is extremely encouraging and devote much of their attention to ensuring that I understand how to execute my routine throughout the entire visit. A personal trainer is on the floor for every three to four members. Often the staff calls over to me and others in the gym with comments to improve our technique and always have words of praise. The camaraderie between the staff and the members is a real plus. We are all working towards the same goals with lots of laughter and fun. Most importantly, my physical fitness has improved dramatically. Recently, Motivate has added Stretch Therapy to their program offerings… I participate weekly! Bill, Tim, Jacob and the rest of the staff, thank you for your expertise, kindness, laughter, and dedication!

Dear Member to Be,

Financially, I am a charitable person. I do believe that charity starts at home, with taking care of yourself. If you or I am not in good health being strong, flexible, resilient and happy, how can you then be charitable or take care of anyone else?

I thought I was doing myself a favor belonging for a number of years to a chain fitness club. It was large. They had lots of machines. But without a personal trainer to pay strict attention to my workouts, I was pretty much wasting my time and money. The most attention I got was when I tried to cancel my membership!

Six years ago I signed up with Billy T. at Motivate Fitness at the recommendation of my physician, who is also a member. With my son’s wedding approaching I needed to lose weight so I could stand looking at myself in the mirror. I weighed 35 lbs. more at the time and was nowhere near as strong as I am now.

Being fat and weak are not two characteristics that makes one comfortable to attend a new fitness interview. Embarrassed and skeptical, I needed two, not one, introductory session with Billy. The personal attention is something I learned I have needed. Left to my own devices, a) I can’t see the proper posture needed to get maximum value and b) I would devolve to minimize the benefits of exercise.(I could cheat myself. That’s not hard to do.)

But Billy and his staff understood my needs and condition and worked carefully with me to build up my physique. Soon I gained some new friends and believe it or not, we have FUN at Motivate Fitness. I can tell many jokes but while I may not be serious about myself, I am very serious about my work. The work with Billy supports my better health, now and for the future. I turned 72 this year and am stronger than when I played football in high school. Not to be a crazy body-builder (although you can,) I wanted to be assured the simplicity to be able to get up and down from the toilet without any aids. This may sound silly but I love my strong legs now.

Surely you will consider the cost of attending as I did. Quickly I came to the conclusion that there is no better investment I can make than in my better health. Poor health costs plenty! Being charitable to myself has more benefits than I imagined. See you at the gym!

Individual attention- the trainers are nice, friendly, and know their stuff. The facility is clean, not overcrowded, has all the necessary equipment you would ever need for a complete workout. Having an appointment to work out with a trainer really ensures accountability. The app for scheduling your workouts is so easy and convenient!!

Like everyone else locked down during Covid I stopped exercising. My back became an issue and I decided to seek help in getting back into a healthy lifestyle. I have been going to Motivate Fitness for over a year now and the results are amazing. I used to go to the gym, going through the motions but now I know the correct way to perform the exercises to gain greater results. I was taken through routines, slowly building back up my strength. The stressing of core and balance has made a huge difference in my everyday life. The trainers are mindful of issues you might have and create programs to best meet your goals. I never used to like going to the gym. I would go maybe for two to three weeks. Then stop. Bill, Tim and Jake are great. They encourage and educate you. You see people your age or older(I'm 53). Sessions have maybe 6 people. So you get plenty of one on one time with one of the guys. I now actually like going to the gym. Even when I was in the Army I never liked doing PT. But Bill and the guys changed that.

I've been a member for one week and absolutely love it! The trainers are extremely knowledgeable. They make sure your form is good and you're pushing yourself to do the best you can. Your meal plan is spelled out clearly. No calorie chasing. Just eat 3 meals a day. I feel like I've already lost inches and feel better in general. It's all in the name "Motivate" fitness.

I'm 60 years old, 50 pounds overweight and since the pandemic started I've averaged 800 steps a day. I've had spurts of motivation on my own here and there but nothing that I could stick with, and therefore no results. I didn't have strength in my hands and arms, my legs, and I was out of breath walking up or downstairs. I couldn't climb out of a canoe or get off the floor without requiring help. I started with Motivate Fitness on July 14th 2023. MF tailors the workout to my level, where I am right now. It's challenging! It's hard. And it's working. There are some true athletes there that inspire me. And there are also lots of folks who are starting out like me, making real progress at their own pace. I was nervous for my first workout, because I'm so out of shape and older. I have never once felt out of place at the gym. I feel like I'm part of the group, I belong there as much as anyone, and rather than feeling intimidated, I feel fully supported. Tim and Jacob are extremely knowledgeable; they easily recognize where I need to/can do more, or maybe need to pull back. When I walk out of the gym after my work out I am on cloud nine, and I know I've done something that makes me healthier and stronger. I always look forward to the next workout with Tim and Jacob at MF. I am stronger, can walk up the stairs without pulling myself using the railing, hands free!!! I can carry a full laundry basket up or down the stairs like it's nothing. I can sit on the floor and get up on my own. Getting in/out of the canoe is much less embarrassing. I love it at MF and highly recommend meeting Bill and his team and giving it a try.

I have known Bill for quite some time. For an even longer time, I have struggled with most of the health issues that come with having a career in technology. Bill's advice and counsel have allowed me to lose about 80 lbs. and get into some semblance of fitness again. Moreover, he has provided me the MOTIVATION to take an active role in being healthy. I had been searching for a fitness club that provided personal training -- and I found Motivate Fitness. After my consultation with Bill, who listened to what I wanted to achieve, I felt that I found a place where I would receive a training plan that would work for me. Tim, my trainer along with Jacob, demonstrate each exercise and guide me to make sure my form is correct so I get the most benefit from each set. Their encouragement reinforces that I am making progress -- they're great trainers and I appreciate their expertise. Motivate Fitness is more than a gym. Bill, the owner, and his staff provide personal training with attention to every detail. Your exercise program is tailored to your needs, and works to strengthen areas of weakness. It is changed periodically to keep you moving toward to your goals. Clients (only 3 at a time) are spaced out with areas marked on the floor. All equipment is sanitized, providing a safe environment in which to work out. In addition, there are emailed videos to participate in at home. Scheduling your work out time is very easy. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to get and stay in shape.

During this challenging time, being a private member of Motivate Fitness and their personal training studio has been a life and health savor. I have been attending for more than 5 years. Since the Covid situation, much has changed everywhere including at Motivate. Sessions have been limited to about 3 people only with our own designated floor space. Bill, Tim and staff are assiduously focused on cleaning all weights, bench surfaces and other equipment after each item is used. Masks are worn.

I have tested negative for Covid this past week and never was sick. I fully believe the personal training and attention I receive has been a boost to my overall health. All topics of health including nutrition are discussed with knowledge and professionalism. I will be 70 this August and have never been stronger in my life, including when I played football in high school. Attending Motivate Fitness has been among the top experiences for health in my life.

For many years I was a member another nationally-known gym. There is no comparison between others and the staff at Motivate Fitness. Give yourself the opportunity to be with the best in the business. Extremely worthwhile and fun to be healthy and fit.
