Move Better is great! Small classes sizes, so you get individualized instruction. The trainers are there to ensure you are doing proper form. Definitely doesn’t feel like a gym but instead a fun activity with friends!

I cannot even find the right words to express how greatful I am to have started at Move Better. I recommend them a million times over. So a short background, I have always been the type of person that put everyone else first, rarely thinking about myself. Recently, the realization hit me like a ton of bricks that I needed to make some changes in my life. All of a sudden, things were happening to me that I just didn't think ever would. I mean do we ever think that we will hear our doctors say words like "high cholesterol", "venous clots", "morbid obesity", "stress test", "sleep apnea." It was becoming scary. I could not walk up a flight of stairs without being out of breath. I had zero energy, and every joint in my body ached. My physical limitations definitely started to impact me mentally. It got to the point where getting out of bed was a chore. One day, I just decided I had enough of feeling the way I did. I needed to make some changes and fast...for my kids, and for me. I started trying to eat better, and lost a bit of weight on my own. I knew I needed more help though, so I started looking up gym memberships. Now, I deal with major social anxiety, so the thought of walking into a huge crowded gym not knowing what on earth I was doing, was way too much and just made me cringe. I knew I needed smaller, so I started to google personal trainers near me. Move Better popped up, and I clicked on the link for their website. They offered small classes geared toward people over 40, personal training and individualized attention in a supportive environment. That sounded amazing to me, so I made the leap and met with Ken. He was extremely easy to talk to, and made me feel so welcome and completely at ease. We talked about my goals, and what I had hoped to gain. Then, after evaluating my physical capabilities through some stretches and exercises, we decided to try small group classes. I got to try a class out first to see how I liked it. It went really well, so I signed up. On my second class I got my tee shirt, and he told me "welcome to the family." I thought that was so nice, and also thought "this is exactly what I have been looking for." From what I have experienced so far, I can say it truly is a family there. The other fitness coaches and other members are so supportive and helpful. I cannot say enough good things. My journey has been short so far. I have only been going for about a month, but I have my 8th class tomorrow, and I am not lying when I say I can already feel improvements!! For example, when I first started, I could not run in place and bring my knees up. I could march, but not run. Now I can run!!! I know it doesn't sound like much when you read it, but when you feel that change in your body's capabilities, it is HUGE. My review is long winded I know, but this is a big step for me, and I wanted to give credit where credit was do. Move Better is more than just a gym. Its family, encouragement, accountability, and support. Going just makes me want to go again, and it makes me try harder to improve myself. When I have a question, someone is always there. When an exercise is a bit much, they tailor it to something I can do, so I can work my way up. If my form is wrong, a coach is there to tell me and help me correct it. I never would have recieved that anywhere else. Thank you everyone at Move Better. Joining was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I look forward to where this takes me.

Move Better is amazing. The staff is hands on and they are phenomenal at adjusting the exercises to meet each person's need. I was 11 days in the ICU in December and was able to start exercising again in March. I know I am not only getting physically stronger but my balance has improved greatly. I look forward to the workouts and each individual Ken has selected to be part of the Team is such an encourager to all of the members. We are so fortunate to have Move Better in the Back Mountain.

Ken Wall of 570 Move Better is the best in the personal training his business. When I refer patients to his gym, I know they will get the best care and that the staff has the ability to modify exercises based on the presentation of the client on that given day. He truly cares about the community and sharing his passion of exercise with others. I will continue to refer to Ken for many years to come. For those over the age of forty looking to move better with less pain and improve their fitness, please do not hesitate to give 570 Move Better a call and ask for Ken.

This fitness center really lives up to its name. I joined Move Better in April 2023, and immediately felt at home working with Ken and Marissa; they are very caring and attentive, and their expertise is first-rate. In early September my husband and I toured Yellowstone National Park for a day, and I realized that, thanks to my weeks at Move Better, it was easy for me to get in and out of the back seat of the tour van, hike up and down steep gravel trails, and be able to really enjoy a full day in the park…and still have energy at the end of the day. At age 68, I find that Move Better helps me build the agility and strength that I need to keep up with my busy schedule. It is important to me to maintain my mobility, and working out with Marissa and Ken at Move Better is vital in helping me to do that. I would recommend Move Better to everyone!

Love it!!! With my physically active job I can’t be sore and not able to move the day after a workout but I still do great stretching and muscle building with them!!! It’s not just one size fits all. All the exercises can be tailored to what you need. No one needs to be in pain from their gym!

Coming off a cervical herniated disc that led to spinal surgery, I looked into several local gyms and ended up choosing Move Better. I have no regrets at all.

1. The staff is simply incredible. Every coach has experience either as a former athlete and/or long tenure in the fitness industry. Because of this they are really good at modifying workouts as needed for the member. With my neck injury, they were very good about changing exercises and keeping a watchful eye on things. Also, their programs are highly structured and are a combination of yoga, physical therapy, cardio, lifting for strength, and lifting for power. They constantly change too.

2. The people at the gym are simply awesome. I am not super social but everyone is laid back and very easy going.

3. Further, and I find this incredibly unique, but you have the option of working out at home if you cannot go in person. You workout via Zoom and the trainers can modify exercises based on what you have or don’t have at home. Initially, I didn't think I would use this option but there were several times where I had sick family members and didn’t want to take their germs to the gym, and it was a great option.

4. Lastly, one of the coaches is also a nutrition coach, so in addition to exercise, there is a steady stream of recipes, food information, and dietary help. She also organizes a lot of outings and food co-op programs, so if you want to get in, workout, and go home you certainly can but if you enjoy socializing and getting out that option is there as well.

Overall, the small group sessions, working out at home option, and fringe benefits really separate Move Better from traditional commercial gyms. However, the quality and knowledge of the coaches is probably the biggest aspect for me. You simply aren’t getting this level of personal attention, detail, and knowledge anywhere else. Coming off my injury this was vital for me.

I started to literally “Move Better” last January of 2021. Ken Wall and his team have been a lifesaver as I journey through this new chapter in my life as women in my fifties. His small group sessions are comprised mainly of others my age which allows a safe space for me to challenge myself with my peers. Any discomfort is addressed and exercises are modified as needed. I think the biggest revelation for me is I am capable of more than I thought, and I can consistently make time on my terms for weekly exercise. I am moving better and feeling better ready to take on the challenges of aging.

I must share! The staff are knowledgeable, and helpful. I had a lower back issue, all exercise was modified for me. Circuits, or (routines) were switched up regularly to target different body parts. . I loved the idea of working with small groups so they could make sure that your form was good. A nutritionist is on board to assist in this life changing adventure! I'm nor only on the road to weight loss bot am loosing inches. I recommend this to any one. Did I mention I am a 62 year old female who feels and moves better and looks better.

Move Better is a high quality workout venue that is quite unique. It is not large, loud and crowded. It is clean and very organized. The equipment is in excellent condition. Ken is extremely knowledgeable re any issue I am having. He is very professional and non judgemental.
He has very good communication skills. He listens to my explanations and uses his expertise to work with me to improve.
I highly recommend Move Better to anyone who wants to start having more mobility and a better understanding of their issues.

A few years ago, I saw a picture of myself, and I was disgusted at how large I had gotten over the years (40+ years old). Stepped on the scale and weighed in at 243lbs (6’ tall). Immediately said this is ENOUGH and set a goal of sub-180lbs. To make this happen, I knew I had to change several things in my life and enlisted the help of Ken Wall. Ken provided awesome workouts, helped establish a baseline diet, and provided motivation AND inspiration along the way. I was able to get down to an amazing 179.2lbs!!! Still have the pic and attached it to this review.

Fast forward to 2020…I was 189lbs in March 2020, and then COVID came along. My job switched to mostly teleworking, and with the refrigerator just in the next room, all the stress of 2020 has caused me to balloon back up to 215lbs as of 1/3/21. Again, I am thoroughly disgusted. Time to get back in the saddle and fire up Ken Wall and Move Better. New goal is sub 175lbs by July 1, 2021. Game on!

I feel Ken is truly someone who cares about me (you) and will tell me (you) what you need to hear and not what I (you) want to hear. I encourage anyone thinking about losing weight, getting in better shape, and/or improving your sports performance (I ran a 6:26 mile!) to give Ken/Move Better a call.

I joined Move Better because I wasn't working out as consistently as I needed to get results. I wanted a program that would have someone take me through workouts. It's been about 5 months since I joined and I feel so much better, have more energy, am much stronger, and look forward to going. The trainers at Move Better 570 are very knowledgeable in their profession. Each person is taken through the program from whatever starting point they are at and progressed through as they are able to safely. Whether you haven't ever worked out or if you are already fit and looking for a new program you will be challenged at the appropriate level. It is a very comfortable atmosphere and a motivating atmosphere. I highly recommend Move Better 570.

I would describe MOVE BETTER as a "training" center rather than a "gym". Take it from a guy who hasn't been in a gym in 20+ years! Their training program centers on your entire body and not just one specific area. Ken and Owen are fantastic trainers. They address any issues you may currently have. I have double knee replacements, so there are some things I just can't do anymore. Ken and Owen are very aware of my situation and they work around those issues to ensure I am getting the proper training. The "small" group atmosphere is the best. You don't feel out of place or neglected. This enables them to keep you moving! If you are looking for a place to get back to "moving better" and feeling better, then take a stop in and see what Ken and Owen offer! So far, it is the best "move" I've made in a very long time!
