My health and fitness journey began in April 2024. At the age of 45, it was time to make some changes and get those health numbers in normal range. I found New Mind and Body Personal Training through the Penny Power and I am very happy I did.

I took the first step and learned more about nutrition with Kathy. My meeting with her was extremely informative. It has completely changed my mindset and what I fuel my body with. I prefer not to reference this change as a diet, however, a meal plan that has contributed to my weight loss.

Shortly after my nutrition session, I began twice a week workouts. I remember the first day being weighed, measurements taken, and photos of the "before" me. It was scary, but Jen was so supportive and informative. Workouts have primarily rotated between Jen and Tim. They are both excellent trainers. They are real people who you have real conversations with experiencing life's similarities (and laughs) with. I have learned so much and my body has responded very positively to their approaches. Compliments to them for their investment in my health journey!

I bought a package of 45 sessions and I only missed one. Never have I completed anything associated with a gym prior. I found myself really looking forward to exercising, embracing new challenges, and becoming my improved self. You would have never have found me on an elliptical before or even knowing what a Romanian dead lift (RDL) is - WHO IS THIS?

I write this review to thank the team at New Body and Mind Personal Training, but also to motivate the person who is reading this review and maybe doesn't know where to begin, possibly apprehensive - yet curious, and they need to do something. Yes, YOU, give this a try!

From April to today, I have lost 50 pounds, my health numbers are in normal range (over 20 years of varied health numbers), and I feel stronger. You are your best investment! There will be days you will be challenged, but embrace the opportunity. You never know what you can become especially with the support of this team! ❤️

Working out here has been a great experience and much different from any of the big-box style gyms I've tried. Every trainer I've worked with does a great job customizing each session to what I need. The trainers taking care of the equipment and planning the sessions allow me to focus on the actual exercise and get the most out of my time there. The expertise and guidance they have provided has been a big help, and has made my independent workouts safer and more effective too.

I’ve always known aging and looking older was going to be difficult for me. Hair and makeup can only carry you so far. Sure I would count calories and use my treadmill ( occasionally) but I felt like fighting aging was just going to be a losing battle. Then I found Kathy and her outstanding team of trainers! I liked Kathy immediately. She is very warm, easy to talk to and truly dedicated to helping others to be the best they can be!
The trainers here are Awesome! Very professional but also nice and friendly making each session fun and enjoyable. I always look forward to my workouts and when I leave there I feel so proud of myself. I can see positive changes in my body . I know I am much stronger inside and out and it is a great feeling!
I would highly recommend New Mind and Body to anyone looking to improve their health and fitness. I look at it as an investment in my future.
It may be the very best thing I have ever done just for “ Me”!

I have had the privilege to receive services from New Mind and Body Personal Fitness Center since November 2015. Kathy Stone is an excellent fitness trainer, experience dietitian and has helped me lose 50 lbs in a matter of months. She employs several excellent trainers whom I have worked with over the years to help me maintain my weight loss and stay healthy and in good physical shape. Kathy is a very caring & supportive person and has become a very good friend as well. Kathy and her team truly changed my life. I met Kathy in January of 2023 and started going to her gym 3 times a week for 6 months and I lost 26 lbs. At the age of 70, I was very content with good beers and bad food. The mirror was not so happy with the reflection!! As my mother often said, i needed guidance.......very often, actually!!
So, Kathy Stone entered my life via her newspaper ad. Her quick response to my call resulted in one of the most comprehensive Q and A sessions of my life allowing her to establish a nutrition and exercise program that made a lot of sense. Her knowledge, enthusiasm, direction and motivation totally squashed any misgivings I had!!
Between the change of diet and three 90 minute sessions weekly in the gym, my fire is so lit!!
Believe it, these gym sessions are truly one on one in a great facility. Sessions are guided by a group of young (hey, compared to me, they ARE young!!!) trainers who are so dedicated and professional it is very difficult not to be psyched. They make it enjoyable and fun. I CANNOT BELIEVE I JUST WROTE THAT!!!! But it's true!!
One month in and I cannot see me doing without this new approach to life. Really! Same guy that wrote the first sentence!
Kathy has put together a great program to suit the needs of the individual and made it clear that as the owner she encourages on-going contact by phone, text or email. That personal involvement is what a small business is all about, for sure.
Kathy, a neighbor stated I look 10 years younger already. She is neither short-sighted nor my mother!! So, many thanks for sorting me out!!

In 2016 at 83 years old, I went to Kathy Stone to strengthen my core and my balance, to improve my golf game which had slipped over the last year because of my deteriorated physical condition. She started with a lengthy consultation where she documented my health history so she could tailor my training program to safely accomplish my objectives in a timely manner.
At the first training session, it was clearly obvious to me that I was in the right place. She provided complimentary clean towels, water, and gum and asked me what kind of music I wanted to train to. During the session she determined that she didn’t have a balance ball the right diameter for my height, and that I needed a pillow for my neck because of herniated disks. When I came 2 days later for the 2nd session, both items were there.
The gym was clean and well-lit with a large outside view. Kathy totally concentrated on my work out for the full hour and a half with absolutely no distractions. This caused me to also concentrate on my exercises to get the most advantage from them.
What I ended up with after 16 sessions was a complete physical upgrade with nutritional advice that changed my eating habits, and the result that I lost 17 lbs. and felt great. I am now 86 years old and I feel that I can play golf and be active for 10 more years. My golf scores have only come down a little, but my swing is more consistent, and I have the energy for the full 18 holes. The scores will come down if I ever learn to putt.
I am still a client of New Mind and Body and I will continue with what I have learned from Kathy in order to keep fighting Father Time.
