DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!

This has been the most unprofessional and disorganized experience I have ever dealt with. Since May 10, 2024, I have endured constant scheduling nightmares, ignored messages, last-minute cancellations, and blatant disregard for my time.

From the very beginning, getting a consistent private lesson time was a complete disaster. Every time I tried to confirm a slot, it was either already taken, changed without notice, or outright canceled. Communication was non-existent—I had to chase them down for every response, and even then, I was met with vague and unhelpful answers.

The final straw? After months of rescheduling chaos, I showed up for my daughter’s lesson only to be told she couldn't train because they had double-booked her session. And to make it even worse, Coach didn’t even have the basic decency to apologize in person. Instead, she sent someone who acted like it was no big deal—like my time meant absolutely nothing.

This place is a complete joke. They are unprofessional, unreliable, and have zero respect for their clients. If you value your time, money, or sanity, STAY FAR AWAY from this place. I am demanding a full refund and will never recommend this disaster of an establishment to anyone.

I was quite upset about the length of time for a child's celebration with food, cupcakes and gymnastics play. 90 minutes??? Really too short!! Impossible to have all aspects of the party at the location. We were all late as the directions and location are not ideal, then were told there were no drinks for the adults; no soda or anything for adults to drink. I had to walk 7 blocks to get drinks for adults and ice. The kids barely had time to play and it was time to do birthday cupcakes. They had to stop playing. Now, we did not have time to open any gifts. I was very disappointed about the 90 minutes! Never again for me at $750.00!! What a rip-off!!

I would never recommend having a party here to anyone. We had our daughter’s first birthday last weekend 9/29. When we arrived we were told that it wasn’t even fully setup yet. They then proceeded to tell us that “It’s ok, we can extend by 30 minutes.” That being said it was extended, but they wanted to charge us an additional $175. If we would have known that we wouldn’t have extended. I see it as an ethical issue.

We settled on $125 additional charge on top of the $820 we already spent. Not to mention the dining area was in a hallway with no lighting. Might as well have been a dungeon. Got numerous complaints the staff was rude. At one point one of the girls was watching football on her phone will trying to do her job. I even still tipped them $20 each. Had I known I was getting charged extra (which they conveniently waited until everything was over to tell us as we were walking out) I never would have tipped.

We thought it was expensive to begin with and even more so now. Isn’t worth nowhere near the money and would never recommend this to anyone.

My son LOVES Philly in Movement! He has been taking classes for 2+ years, and he especially loves the warm, caring staff. I'm happy with the gender diversity, friendliness, and organized manner of the classes. They are very disciplined in a super-positive and supportive way. Thanks for a great experience! They have even been extra helpful when my son experienced some anxiety.

Can’t say enough good things about InMovement. The staff is amazing, caring, and kind. Most importantly, my son always has a great time. He has been attending the ninja class for a few years now and it’s perfect for him, whether he’s feeling super energetic and needing to burn some energy or just in need of routine it’s always a great time.
We miss the bella vista location but the location is in a convenient spot. Thankful for a fun and affordable city activity!

My 21 month old son loves to play and explore different ways to move and play in the lil tumblers class! The teachers are amazing, able to manage a room of toddlers with just enough structure but not too much. As a parent I love that missed classes can be made up in open play! Love the flexibility.

My daughter started gymnastics with Philly InMovement this fall after her old gym closed down due to structural issues in early 2022. I am beyond pleased that I chose to enroll her here. She is learning at a much faster rate than before and she really enjoys the activities they plan for her group during each session. I appreciate that the class sizes aren't too big because it allows her to get an adequate amount of turns to practice new techniques before the end of class. Small class sizes and multiple instructors also help to keep her focus since she's no longer waiting for a large group of students to go ahead of her each time as she did at her old gym. I definitely made the right choice by enrolling her here. I highly recommend this gym to anyone interested in signing their child up.

We’ve had years of great experiences here. Real community asset! Teachers are wonderful. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is that the registration process is stressful: if you aren’t at your computer the precise moment that registration happens, you won’t get a spot. Still, it’s worth the momentary stress.

I signed up for a month of classes in October (end sept-end Oct) and attended two classes since my baby has been sick. $150 for 4 classes. I see they charge me for the next month, and ask them to remove the charge since I have no plans to attend and you CANT REMOVE YOUR CREDIT CARD from your website account! Scary. I was denied removal of the charge… still fighting that. The last thing moms of young kids need is to be tricked out of $100 for two mediocre classes, only ONE of which had proper instruction that day. Don’t be fooled.

Signed up my toddler for intro classes at 18 months. Found the teachers of class to be rude and not very helpful. I witnessed her actively walk away/ignore child when he was ready to participate multiple times. Facility is fun and clean but overall very disappointed

Came here for the first time for an Adult Aerial class in the past month. I didn't know what to expect since every description and listing for this gym is so kid-oriented, but let's get into it.

The first floor seems to be dedicated to youth classes, while the upper floor is for the adult classes. When I first came in 5 mins before my class, the foyer area was bombarded with parents waiting for their children, then children running back and forth between the foyer and gym area, as well as many food smells from people eating. This in your initial view and first impression of the place and it came off as very disorganized and scattered. I would definitely consider a policy that organizes this all more, as well as a no eating policy in that area. My experience got way better after this, but this was a very poor first impression.

Now for the Adult Aerial Class itself. The class starts with a LOT of warm-up, way more than I was expecting. We jogged around the room for about 5 minutes, then did some yoga stretches for maybe 15-20 minutes, then a period of light acro-yoga (probably another 15-20 minutes), then finally got to aerial stuff, before stretching for the last 10 minutes of the class. The instructor was so friendly, warm, and welcoming, as someone who has 0 experience with aerial I never once felt judged for not knowing what I was doing. The other floaters with a lot of experience (not sure if instructors) were also incredibly encouraging in everything that we did. When we split off into partnered groups for acro yoga and then mini groups for aerial, they were constantly moving around, helping us to get successfully into many of the positions and movements. The group that goes to this class also needs a shoutout. I was really worried about how this was going to with trying a new place for the first time, having no experience, being shy, but every one of these washed away thanks to the awesome people there. One thing that was super common was that despite being in different groups doing different things, when a group succeeds in their efforts everyone notices and is so overjoyed for their achievement. Literally everyone was encouraging of everyone else and that made this experience so special.

Despite the overall welcoming and encouraging atmosphere, I have one criticism of the class and that is how it is structured. I get that the long warm-up time is meant to prepare you for the demanding movements of aerial, but I'm don't think it was 100% conducive to this goal. There were many beginners in the class as well intermediates who were still learning, and it seemed like the answer to this was always repetition. I watched many people being told to just try something again and again which, while encouraging, glosses over why they can't just jump into a certain position. I found this would have been the same regardless of warm-up time. What this class is missing is conditioning exercises that will help both beginners and intermediates. I would suggest shortening the warm-up to make time for everyone to take turns (the adult gym has 2 hoops, 1 hammock, and 2 silk sets that everyone takes turns on) practicing conditioning exercises, then move into practicing the full aerial positions. When I got back from the class, I looked on YouTube for aerial conditioning exercises and found them in a second. There's just no excuse for why these are not part of the class, and this is the main reason why I only had a 4 star experience.

Regardless of this fact, my experience was so great that I will be going back for another class and to see how that goes. I think any person interested in the adult class will have a fabulous experience. I def think though the gym should work on restructuring the adult class more, and to better advertise their adult classes. I'm sure the youth classes are the money maker, but I think more attention to highlighting the adult classes will garner interest and boost revenue.

Cool gym. However, Schedules are random and constantly changing... makes planning very difficult. They’re also often not open on weekends... when most working parents find time to take their kids and do stuff like this. Management couldn’t care less after you purchase passes. So It’s like a real gym: they want you to buy the membership and never go haha. But in this case, it’s not because of our laziness... their doors are simply closed.

In Movement has been a true inspiration in helping our son discover a love of gymnastics. Despite his behavioral challenges, the amazing staff and owner worked with us as a partner hand in hand to help our son deal with his limitations, and exceed ALL of our expectations. Both our kids attend classes year round on weekends and after school, and we couldn't be happier with the program. Only negative, they are a victim of their own success, and the lobby is very tight for waiting parents. Hope they'll take the plunge and move into a bigger space, as they sure look like they could use it! :)
