I am totally stoked about this remodel - the replacement of the tanning beds that were at least ten years old, brand new massage chairs and my personal favorite, the added Cryo! But if that wasn’t enough, they completely gutted the locker rooms, replacing that dark, dingy tile with a brighter, more welcoming finish and even added a dry vanity where I can finish my makeup without tying up a sink. As I’m writing this, my boyfriend is in the background, reminding me to mention his personal favorite, the half racks. The focus on plate loaded equipment has really allowed him to focus on not only health but strength.

Loved the gym until the recent remodel. Before the renovation the ladies showers had a small area to undress and place your clothes and then you step into the shower. Now only one large stall to change so if 2 people wish to shower at the same time I guess you undress together and hang your clothes on a hook outside the shower on display for everyone. Fewer bikes and ellipticals for the seniors there with bad knees. Less equipment. The staff is great but I feel bad for them having to listen to all the complaints. Hopefully we get a seating area or bench to sit and wait if you’re done before your workout partner. Many of my gym friends have transferred or plan to cancel their membership. Nothing like getting there only days after opening to find out of order signs on all the bathroom stalls and told I could use the jiffy john outside. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Truly enjoy this gym but had a bad experience with one of the staff members by the name of Rachael Goode. In the beginning I respected her with informing me about the age policy which I apologized in regards to since my son is 12 and not 13 as of yet. While I was walking out I stopped and was asking her if other parents were being informed as I was and she proceeded to have an attitude saying what makes you think im not? And I was not malicious nor rude about my question but could see she was getting red in the face and her voice was getting shaky so I was confused. Again I assured her that I was not upset I agreed with the policy but she continued to have a nasty attitude and obviously was offensive to the point that she said I think you should leave after I assured her that I was not upset and agreed and We were already on our way out. My judgement is maybe she was having a bad day which is understandable but I was never trying to offend her or make her feel disrespected but I definitely felt disrespected with her raising her voice at me and getting defensive for no reason. It was a very interesting interaction.but other than that experience I enjoy this little gym never had an issue with the rest of the staff however today was the only time I ever brought my son so moving forward ill wait until he turns 13 in a few months. The only thing I would truly say is maybe have her go over some trainings in regards how to talk to members. It truly seemed like she was just having a bad day so I feel bad for her but I do take full accountability on my end.

I stopped in to this gym on a drive to Lancaster, as the roads were flash flooding and there was very heavy rain. I just wanted to get off the roads for a few minutes, and the front desk gentlemen were very helpful and kind. They tried to help me find a road to take as I am Not from the area. Very kind staff.

I shared my feedback on the planet fitness survey, if I remember correctly. At first I made a complaint about the gym being too small. However the GM got back to me and explained that indeed they are a smaller location and apologized. The simple fact that she took the time to respond to my email made me want to write this review. The gym is tiny yes, and for me it was a bit difficult working out due to my size. I'm leaving a 5 star review because the customer service here and the GM are lovely. Thank you Savanah!

This is a clean, very well maintained club at all times. It has a nice mix of patrons and Savannah, the manager, is a DYNAMO in club management skills. A special shout-out to Aaron, the personal trainer, who is the perfect mix of cosmopolitan yet down to earth/ relatable .And Paul, the KING of the graveyard shift, is genial, the epitome of " lead by example" and so welcoming he makes you feel right at home-- Every club should have a Paul! From the first time I walked in, I was feeling anxious as I hadn't been to the gym in three years, as well as social anxiety being around people. The lady at the front, I did not catch her name, she had a septum piercing, was super personable and ease my anxiety, We had a joke about me needing to have my picture taken and I had just gotten over being sick. She was very attentive and friendly. The equipment at the gym goes above and beyond for any fitness desire/need, everything is clean and ready to use. Each machine has instructions on what it is for, and you can also use the app and watch an actual video tutorial on how to use it which was extremely helpful! I have never had a bad experience here and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

I go to various locations, for a variety of reasons. I visited this location yesterday because it is my son's home gym. I love using the recumbent stepper to help with pain in my knees. Your facility is one of the few I have been to in the area to have a SECOND one, and I was very excited to see that! The shower stalls are a nice size compared to some PF facilities I have visited. I used the 30 minute room, and it had a nice layout. Thanks for having another location that makes working out convenient when I have things to do in other areas.

Came here almost 10 years ago, 10 years later the equipment is the exact same, & it’s in the exact same spot, nothing has moved or been updated to better equipment. it’s boring. Other planet fitness have better machines. The smith machine is slanted not sure if it’s the bar or the whole machine, but when I try to incline bench or flat bench I notice the unevenness when I bring the bar down to my chest, causes discomfort in my shoulders so I no longer use them unless I squat… newer better machines would be nice. Besides that it is a good gym.

I have been bodybuilding and weight training for over 25 years and I’ve been to quite a few gyms and I can definitely say that this Planet Fitness is the most well-kept and cleanest facility I’ve ever been in. The staff is also very nice which is definitely a plus. My only complaints for the gym would be that I do not like that the Friday hours changed to a 9 PM closing time and also if you guys would please please please just get like one pair of 80 pound and 85 pound dumbbells 😊🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

After having been to many different Planet Fitness gyms over the years, this one has been my absolute favorite. The staff are always friendly. They greet you when you come in and say goodbye when you leave. They keep it in pristine shape, always walking around and making sure the machines and bathrooms are cleaned. I’ve been a Black card member with planet fitness for 2yrs because I travel for work a lot with sales. I pay to be able to bring my reps/enployees with me to help cultivate and build them up physically and professionally. I had a new rep who was new to working out who isn’t accustomed to working out in gym and the etiquette. I corrected him but then a planet fitness employee named Rachel came over and corrected us and said we were tossing weights around and bothering other guests. We apologized and said we would keep it down. I asked what specifically we were doing so I knew what the problem was moving forwards so we didn’t do that again. She mimicked my response, was sarcastic, rolled her eyes, and said if she could only say what she wanted to say but couldn’t because she was on the job. I have no problem someone doing their job, but the way she responded was really unprofessional and rude and I will be cancelling my membership.

my brother was continuously going to the gym here and one day he was working out and had a few dumbells on the floor. some worker named savannah began to harass my brother telling him to put them away, but my brother was still using them for his workout. when he said he was still using them she proceeded to call the police and have him arrested. mind you my brother is 17 years old and a very quiet person who stays to himself. i do not recommend this place for any young adults or really anyone who has an actual gym routine. if i could give 0 stars i would.

Can you move one of the mat locations? So I don't continue to get reported by your PF employees that I don't put my mat back. Your female employee approached me on 12/13 at 545 pm, stating I didn't put my mat back on prior visit. She told me I'm "obligated" to put my mat back. PF Policy says, "we ask" nothing about "obligated" and she wished me luck taking your gym to court for harassment. I brought up safety and she didn't care how it could affect the establishment.

I was reported again about 4 weeks ago for not putting my mat away and not wiping down equipment. I wipe my equipment down EVERY use, you have cameras to validate it.

Every time I use the mats I wipe them down and if the back room is full I lay the mat on the half wall as I'm not pushing my way thru people, interrupting their workout, tripping over people (has happened), stepping over them while they workout in front of the mat location(s). SAFETY FIRST especially when it comes to your customers. Most times I retrieve a mat from the half wall left behind by someone else. I'm sure others who lift weights up front who use a mat can agree and appreciate a mat left on the half wall making it easily accessible.

Change of a location of mats would be great. On half wall right outside the boxed in workout room or don't allow people to workout right in front of mats allowing easy access for all customers.

I've been going to this gym for 2 years, same time, same faces and it's never been an issue. Convinced it's the employees who are reporting since they have nothing else better to do.

They give SO many ways to reward yourself for a job well done! They have stickers so you can put it on your calendar. They have a point system to get free healthy snacks or drinks for attendence. Massage beds. Their 30 minute circuit is only 30 minutes with a red light/green light ANDS they have grape Tootsie rolls at the front desk! BF skinner would be proud, so many ways to positively reinforce yourself to develop a habit of going to the gym :) Thankyou ❤️

If I could give ZERO STARS, I would. Planet is probably one of the WORST gyms you can go to… I haven’t been to the gym since probably September 2021, I finally went in to CANCEL my membership November 2022, come to find out my account was “frozen”. Fast forward to October 2023, I get a charge from planet fitness on my bank statement, so I did a little digging & I see that I have been getting charged since March of 2023… I spoke with the manager Savannah, who then precedes to tell me “it was a manager who froze your account, they wouldn’t mix up the process & make that mistake”. Well, they can’t refund me for the months I was being charged that I was under the impression it was cancelled & also HAVEN’T been there in over 2 years… Sorry savannah, the “manager” at the time made that mistake, but you guys won’t admit that.

I enjoy working out at planet fitness, I have visited a lot of them in my area .The only problem with the one in Columbia is you can't use the 30 minute pace room because its being used by a trainer doing everything but the pace room . I asked the trainer if she could allow me and a soon to be new member to complete our workout and she didn't respond or move out our way in order for us to use the room the correct way, now the person I was trying to get to sign up for membership doesn't want to go there because of that experience
Wish they would let the people know to read the sign in the entrance telling them this is for 30 min training and you should move out the way for the people that using the 30 minute pace room. This happend 3 times back to back I have been a member faithfully for 11 years straight

It is a nice gym here in Ephrata, but even as a person who is in shape, there is still body shaming that goes on. This is my usual gym and I have never had any problems. Great staff, great gym and locker rooms are always clean. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was due to black mold in one of the showers. It is a health risk/hazard and should be treated immediately. But other than that, Its a 5 star gym.
