I’ve been contemplating reviewing for a while, but a recent experience has tipped me over the edge. While I want to stress that the employees at this location have been overwhelmingly positive & their vibes are absolutely one of the strong points of this location, it has been staggering to watch the maintenance of the machines themselves decline as time goes on. I don’t know if there’s things the employees arent allowed to fix and the maintenance wing has just gone awol, but it just feels like nothing gets fixed no matter how much it gets pointed out. The pec fly has genuinely been missing a key bolt on its “arm” for about a year at this point, as well as the seat adjustment mechanism being so poorly maintained that I’ve had it just fall out from under me all the way to the bottom rung mid-use. The torso rotation feels horribly unstable compared to the same machine at other locations, and it has nothing to do with what generation the machine is. There’s a carabiner that continuously gets stuck on the cabled machines by the front, it would take maybe 3 minutes to shave off enough to stop it from happening again. What finally shook me enough to write this was the way the angle-adjustment trigger mechanism on the leg extension is so loose that it released all the weight, slamming the plates down & essentially giving my knees whiplash from having the force I was pushing into taken away so rapidly.

It honestly really freaked me out, and I don’t know if I’ll be back at this location until they’ve had a chance to work on this issue, which really sucks cause it’s so close to home. I’m just not personally willing to have another machine fail on me like that with the baseline fragility of my hypermobile joints. Would be happy to give yall another chance, but just want to know I’m safe on the machines, and it doesn’t feel like that right now compared to basically any other location.

Went here when it first opened and it was nice and clean. Now there is dust everywhere and makes it really hard to breathe. Equipment also hasn’t been updated since opening. The location is convenient, but probably the most out of date and dirtiest one I’ve been to.

Overall, a good basic gum for $25 a month. That said, one of the main reasons I joined PF is was the 24 hour access. As someone with long work hours and dedicated dad. I need to squeeze in work out when I can and most of the time that is Friday’s after work and evenings on the weekends. Unfortunately most PF locations are open 24 hours during the week, and close early on Fridays and all weekend. PLEASE bring back later hours on Fridays - Sundays. If not 24 hours, PLEASE give members access to 10, or 11 …. Or even 9pm. That would be an improvement!!!!

Planet fitness is planet fitness. The only reason why I have the membership is that you can find one anywhere you go in the United States. Besides that, it really doesn't have a true community, and they have made an environment where that most people who go there don't know what they're doing and they don't get assistance from the few that do because of the environment that Planet Fitness has claimed to be "a safe zone." If you are a beginner, or even an intermediate experienced person when it comes to weightlifting, going to a regular gym where people would help you with proper lift and breathing techniques would be the better option. From my experience, all regular gyms have tons of people willing to help people grow and learn, and they want to see you succeed. You will get so much more out of a regular gym. As for the weights, they are clean, the facility is clean. The restrooms are clean. I have no complaints there.

It’s a great place with enough equipment. It’s clean and the staff is friendly enough. My only complaint is the wi-fi is bad. I thought perhaps it was just me, but after speaking to others and 1 staff person I am correct - it’s BAD! Not like Micheal Jackson BAD. I’d rather pay an extra $1 /month for better wifi. Other than that I’d give it 5 stars if that wasn’t an issue.

I'm new to Planet Fitness and all the machines can be a little bit overwhelming. I signed up for a couple of training sessions with Danielle. She was amazing! So encouraging and I didn't feel pressured. She walked me through what machines to use for what body part to work out and it made feel more comfortable! And her workout classes are so good! Highly recommend!
Update. Danielle has left PF for other opportunities. I wish her success in her future ventures! It is my hope (as well as other members trained by Danielle) that they will find a suitable replacement for her! Trainers like Danielle are so important to the members. We all wish they could've retained her! She is the best!

Amazing gym!! I’ve been a member for about 3 years and will always be a member here. I can’t say enough good things about this Planet Fitness. It’s always clean, has great equipment, and in general has a positive, fun vibe. But best of all is the employees, they are always friendly, helpful, considerate, and work hard. They are one of the main reasons I keep coming back.

Also PF’s membership fees cannot be beat, so if you’re on a budget and are trying to get in shape, this by far your best option around. It even gets you access to other PFs, so it’s a great value all around.

I love this gym. The staff is very polite. I'm older and need a trainer. I wish they would hire a trainer to replace the one who left. I think it's important to have a trainer who encourages and motivates and teaches a person to workout. I noticed a lot of the people I used to take classes with no longer come in. That's sad.

We have been members since they opened and have been very happy here. But lately I have noticed it has gotten very dirty. Under all the machines, cable area and dumbbells is a thick layer of dust and hair!! Someone needs to start vacuuming regularly and sanitizing the equipment. Signs posted all over to wipe down your equipment before and after use, staff needs to start doing their share!

Clean & Airy, the Doylestown club is laid out nicely. I love the massage chairs for a little pampering after a good work out. Social distancing is in place with every other machine posted for no use. The staff is friendly. It took me 3 months to get in the door after signing up, for a few reasons, but once I passed the threshold my fears lessened, and once I worked out, and saw just average folks, I felt better. I am far from in-shape and I just need a convenient, affordable club to help me exercise regularly. Planet Fitness is the answer. I bring a small lock for the lockers, just to be safe. If all goes well, this will be my home 4-5 days a week! That's my goal!
