Update.... they have gotten new equipment that's Less than intuitive and they seem to want to push out people who don't include in machines and weights in there workout!!

Overall a great place to work out. BUT, The staff is slow to replace paper towels and repairs seem to be a slow process. IE, bathroom sink not working for 2 weeks, clock in main room is not working.(hour hand is off).
certain members seem to get a pass on Lunkish Behavior by the staff.

Hours are horrible. 7pm close on a SATURDAY and Sunday?? Way too much cardio equipment...more than half of area is taken with bikes and treadmills, which NEVER are overwhelmed, even at peak times, when 1 row can easily be replaced with more other equipment and benches for free weights. That's a huge problem as many are there in packs, socializing between reps that takes way too much time and cant get any use at a specific machine for workout too often.

Planet Fitness in Kutztown is hands down one of the cleanest gyms I’ve ever been to. The equipment is always spotless, the locker rooms are well-maintained, and you can tell the staff takes real pride in keeping the space welcoming and hygienic.

The team here is also incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Anytime I’ve had a question or needed guidance, someone was always ready to assist without hesitation. Special shoutout to Brian Jones – he’s been a huge part of my fitness journey. His advice on workouts, form, and routines has really helped me progress and stay motivated. You can tell he knows his stuff and genuinely wants to see people succeed.

I love how easy it is to come in, get my workout in and leave. I’ve never had a negative experience with any of the desk employees or the other guests. I’ve never seen a guest keep a machine to themselves for an indecent amount of time and everyone takes their turns patiently. I never feel judged at all. An overall a very pleasant atmosphere!

Planet Fitness as a franchise can be easy to tease, but this particular establishment deserves praise. I've felt discriminated against by the staff at some other PFs, but I've always felt welcomed and appreciated here. It's clean and has great equipment. For the monthly membership fees and the features it offers, it's a pretty great...dare I say, GYM. If I could offer any constructive criticism it would be that the music is too loud, which is especially unnecessary when everyone brings their own head phones anyway. I just don't love feeling your bass over my own music.

If you have a job or responsibilities during the day and can only make it at night, you have to rush through your workout as they begin shutting the light down and are ready to close by 10pm most night. I have to give a huge shout-out to my local Planet Fitness because they truly live up to their motto of being a "Judgment-Free Zone." This gym is a breath of fresh air compared to other places that claim the same but don't always deliver.

The staff here is incredible, and they radiate positive vibes. Every time I walk in, I'm greeted with a warm welcome, and it feels like a friendly community. You can genuinely sense the non-judgmental atmosphere.

I have to give a special mention to Brian, one of the trainers at this Planet Fitness. When I first joined, I was questioning myself and feeling a bit unsure. Brian, though, was a game-changer. He made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. He's the kind of person who encourages you and pushes you to do your best without making you feel self-conscious. It's rare to find someone who can strike that balance so well.

With such a fantastic team and environment, my fitness journey has been a whole lot more enjoyable. Whether you're a seasoned gym-goer or just starting out, this Planet Fitness is the place to be. You won't feel judged, and you'll get all the support and encouragement you need. Five stars all the way!

People who give PF a hard time seem to be people who have never been to a public gym before. I mean its a $10 a month fee, $20 if you want extra things like a Sensory deprivation bed, massage chair, and tanning bed. I hear not every PF has these but mine does. I Digress, The only complaint I would have is that they only have 4 machines that are found in every gym. The multy use wire machines and the supported bench press. I have only ever used the bench press once because it is ALWAYS infested with at least groups of three or more friends who spend to much time talking between rests. I normally stay at the gym for and hour and a half to two hours, and some people spend the same amount of time on the bench. I'm not saying there should be a time limit on how long they use it. But it would be nice to try it every once and a while. Besides that, extremely friendly staff, great service, everything is clean and they are always cleaning. Besides being unable to ever use the bench press I'm vary happy to use Planet Fitness. I think i might even start paying for the Sensory tank to see what that is like.

I go to several locations, primarily around eastern PA and I absolutely love this planet fitness. Kutztown folks are so friendly and always asking to help. They go above and beyond with cleanliness also. Locker room is always clean, massage tables and chairs are always great. Drive past the Tilghman location at least 2 x a week to get here. I am a frequent business traveler and black card member. I visit planet fitness from Maine to West Virginia. This is my home gym. I am going to tell you why this is one of the best planet fitness. It is clean, the equipment is in excellent condition, if something gets broken, they repair it in a reasonable amount of time. But most importantly to me the last thing when I go to the gym is to carry my cell phone around or wired up with headphones. Getting rid of these things for my work out is part of the piece. this planet fitness does not blast the pop rock intrusively, rather sets it at background music. Thank you.

The Staff

• Friendly! Assistant General Manager Gabi provides a warm greeting if you stop by for a morning workout and makes everyone feel welcome.

• Knowledgeable! I met with a trainer regularly. I learned about the equipment and was given workout plans. I attended group classes when offered which were really helpful to get started. When they were forced to closed during the pandemic, excellent online video classes were provided in order to maintain workouts. The planet fitness app also includes invaluable instruction on equipment and workout plans to vary one’s exercise regimen.

• Supportive! Changing a life style is no easy task. Things did not go smoothly at the outset. My trainer would keep trying different approaches until we found what worked for me. He was invested in me and my success. His support kept me determined. He made the regional manager aware of my struggles. Amaris gave me a Planet Fitness bottle and towel and wrote me a supportive note which meant the world to me.
