The staff is always good and the place is very clean. However on Thursday 11/6 I dropped my wallet in the locker room in the morning. It was so nice to know that the customers who go there are also good people. When I came out from my Hydro bed that the staff were waiting for me to give my wallet back that someone turned in. I confess I just joined this location today. If Elijah's performance in helping me join, including using my Silver Sneakers account to pay the monthly membership fees, is any example of how this location works, it will be a fantastic experience. Elijah also gave me a tour of the facility. Don't let Elijah's soft-spoken, humble nature fool you--that is just his Clark Kent persona, but in reality, he is Superman.

Unfortunately this location is my least favorite.
3 times in 1 month their staff is not here to open and people are waiting for 43 minutes past their opening hour to get in. I have had to leave on both occasions and go to a different gym which opens in their said advertising time so that I can get to work on time. Total inconvenience and costs me valuable time. Not a fan of the operation.

Billing issues. Since I joined i have had to pay a late fee every month and on my annual fee even though it was in time. They take your routing number then say it is invalid then refuse to use your backup card. They don’t send reminders when they bill. Most importantly, theres no one to fix their problems! Good gym good amenities, horrible customer service and billing. It reminds me of early 2000’s sprint mobile.

Truly the best Planet Fitness location I have been to. I was pleasantly surprised by both the quality and quantity of equipment provided. The lighter color scheme makes the space much more vibrant and well-lit. The locker rooms were clean, and so were the bathrooms. The weights section is well-organized, clean, and features top-tier equipment. The layout of the gym is well organized and breaks down the space in a manner that makes sense. The staff was beyond kind to me and welcoming. I truly have no complaints, and this far exceeds my expectations of a Planet Fitness. I will absolutely go back and look forward to doing so.

I have been to several other PFs and today I was here because my gym is getting an overhaul of new equipment. Found the gym clean and easy to navigate. Don't understand why TVs are down and that none of the staff can turn them back on? Oh too busy on their phone to notice What I don't understand is why PF would use the matrix system for equipment. If you are of small stature most of the machines do not accommodate your body well. Why do you have legs and arms mixed with no sense of sequence? Why are they not grouped? Only one system for popular machines...nothing like having to wait for people to finish their text messages to get off the machines. The women's locker room is a waste of space in terms of access. I appreciate that the water pressure goes down whenever someone flushes or uses the sink. Looking forward to my home gym. Maybe... as we get the matrix system there. Maybe it's time to look at other gyms.

Very rude staff and ridiculous policies. The staff will yell at you and kick you out 15 minutes before they actually close. You can sign up for a membership online but must go IN PERSON to cancel, so make sure you don't move out of the area, get sick, or get injured because they don't care. They'll just keep charging you money. I'm pretty sure you could die, and they wouldn't care. They would just keep charging your card because you didn't come in to cancel. Apparently, you bank online and pay your taxes online, but you can't cancel your planet fitness membership online. Because, what? They need to be more secure than the IRS? Give me a break. They told me it was for security, but they didn't even check my ID, so thats obviously not true. It's just a ploy to take more of your money. After getting injured, my intention was to cancel for a few months and then renew my membership. However, after being treated rudely and being charged for an extra month because you need to cancel an entire month in advance, I took my business elsewhere.

Horrible wait times ever since the renovation. They now have only 1 machine unless it's cardio. No matter what time of day and no matter what day you go the wait times for machines are horrible. They will say speak to management but nothing management will or can do. It's impossible to go through a workout with long down times through out it because of waiting for machines. This location either needs to stop taking new members or get duplicate machines other than cardio.

Edit to this: Like I said in my original post, the owner will just say talk to management who has no power or authority to make any changes. Nothing will be changed as long as the owner is collecting those monthly subscriptions

This used to be my favorite PF because it was on the way home from work, and I really looked forward to coming here. After the remodel, it just went downhill. The ellipticals are different and harder to manage, there is only 1 recumbent bike, and the same lady is always on it. Seems like 1/2 of the floor is weights, making it seem more like a gym for guys only. You have to use your phone app and credit card to get a bottle of water. You have to use your phone app to get access to the massage beds and chairs, and the massage rooms have a bright light shining in your face that you can't dim. I have stopped going to this location and am thinking of dropping my membership. The gym was great before. Why couldn't they just let it be?? Saddens me to give them a bad review. I used to love coming here.

I signed up for a membership but never used the gym even once. They still charged me a monthly fee, an annual fee, and then added a late fee on top of that. I contacted them and was told “it’s like a Netflix subscription” — basically saying I’d get charged no matter what.

I asked them to freeze or cancel my account and they claimed they did, but they kept trying to charge me again. I’ve had no way to cancel online, and they offered zero real help.

Hate the new layout since the renovation, you are in everyone's way no matter where your at. Lots of wasted space in the stretching area. Taking out the 30 min workout with all the right equipment in one place was great.
So you removed it. Putting machines in with free weights bad idea. Shower are horrible no water pressure or flow of water. I'll try it a few more times but it looks like I'll be canceling my membership. So sad for me I liked the gym.

I know they had a complete turnover in staff, but the fact that there was a piece of gum on a shower curtain rod for several weeks shows a lake of attention to detail. The new equipment had broken down several times. The black card equipment is hard to get into now. You have to scan each time you want to use it. The AGM seems to lack common curtesy and is not friendly. I miss the previous staff they greeted you knew who you are and was able to make you feel welcome. I'm not feeling this with the new staff at all.

The new layout at the Gettysburg Pike location Mechanicsburg is horrible.They're trying to turn into to a weightlifting gym rather than a fitness facility. (Hmmmm--CRUNCH). I was there this past week on a Sunday night--not full at all--had to wait and wait and wait for the ONE leg press machine to free up, the ONE leg extension machine to free up, the ONE leg curl machine to free up, and the ONE adductor/abductor machine to free up. It was hard enough to get a free machine when there were two of each, now there is only one. The renovation was a horrible idea and the person or persons in corporate who thought of it should be fired. They obviously do not know their demographic. Now I will have to travel farther to another PF--or terminate my membership and go to another gym altogether. PS - I have never in my life written a negative review of a business. This is the first. So you know how bad this must be for me to take the time to submit a written complaint.

Been a member of this gym for 15 years when it was where the old Giant was. The recent remodel has left me super disappointed. Half of the cardio equipment is gone and most of it is now lifting. It was hard to get cardio equipment before and now it will be even more difficult with this new change. The circuit is gone which a lot of people used. The televisions are back to limited. All the machines are new but some were not operational yet. Place was convenient as it was close to my home but will be transferring to the Hampden location until they ruin it with a remodel.

Also, the two gentleman up at the front desk on 10/22/24 (I unfortunately didn’t catch there names, one was wearing a black shirt and one was wearing a white shirt 😬), SUPER friendly and informative - this was during AM hours. Don't count on this location to be open on time, on top of the incredibly limiting weekend hours (7am to 7pm!?) They don't even open at the posted time! I showed up a little early at 6:57am but I had to give up and leave at 7:20, the doors were still locked and none of the lights were on. I had work at 8:30 and this was my only opportunity to go today. There were 20-30 other people waiting there too but by the time I gave up there were only 10 or so left waiting. If there is a change of hours the members need to be notified before they waste their time waiting around like that!

First impression after walking in here - it's very clean! All the machines are in working order and not broken. None of the lockers are broken! The bathroom is clean! There are many sanitizing stations in close proximity of each other. All of the staff is great!

I can't say any of that about LA Fitness. There are all kinds of broken machines, 80% of the lockers are broken, the staff is rude, untrustworthy - and they don't care about the looks, or cleanliness of the club - making sure everything is in working order and not broken.

We go to several different facilities and this one is clean and fairly efficient. Not all PFs are this inviting and clean. We can get in and out with a good workout. My one complaint has always been the circuit. I started this years ago at the recommendation of doctor after heart attack. It really is a great workout. However customers use it as just another set of machines and come and go as they please.... sometimes just sitting on one and using it as their personal machine. We've had people come in and sit down on one right as we are moving to it. I've long given up worrying about it as employees don't care. I was told once.... "ehhh... we don't really care... if someone complains then I guess we have to say something". At that point I decided it's not worth getting stressed over. We just head in and do a nice workout on a treadmill.

Went to cancel my membership with the intent on comming back because I have other arrangments at the moment. Employee Mullen was extremely rude after I asked basic questions, talked down to me in a sarcastic way and waving his hands as if I was asking really stupid questions. Will never go back! This guy should not be at the front desk.

I was in there working out an I was doing something wrong and a guy wanted to show me what I was doing wrong but instead he did something else but staff was great and handled the situation very professionally
