This place is a joke, the equipment is a joke, even high school gym machines are more professional than that, the environment is chaotic and the terrible smell that hits you when you get to the workout area, disgusting, pure definition of cheap, there are a couple of AWESOMWE gyms that can meet your fitness requirements, Anytime Fitness' where you can have a nice workout in a professional relaxing environment, if you are a bodybuilder; Muscle INC provides state of the art equipment to achieve your goals, they don't target planet pickles audience for all the obvious reasons, just FYI

This gym is extremely cheap , and unfortunately this comes with a trade off, the facility often has unpleasant odor , the atmosphere is chaotic and staff can be unprofessional and dismissive, you definitely get what you pay for.
If you are someone who values cleanliness, supportive environment and respectful services, I strongly recommend spending a bit more on a higher quality gym, I am glad I have moved on from this place

The situation at Nazareth PF is concerning as the manager has been selling jars of pickles to gym members initially priced at $5 but now increased to $10 for a plain batch, this activity not only appear to violate internal policy but also breaches the Department of Health regulations as the pickles being sold in an unlicensed facility.
While it doesn’t seem that the sales are being conducted on behalf of the gym’s owners but I’ll leave this to government \law enforcement agencies to investigate but I will definitely help them with all info I have

I’ve been continuously getting charged since march for a membership I’ve never actually been able to check in on because the state that it signed up in for is the wrong state. All I would like to do is cancel my membership however they are stating I have to pay the past due money on a membership I’ve never even been able to use to be able to

Staff were fine. Main issues:

Crazy amount of cardio machines (ellipticals and treadmills), most of which were sitting empty while the strength machines were all full, mainly because there's so few of them. You need to balance out this ratio.

While tanning, they insisted I had goggles with me even though I explained I cover my entire face while in the booth.

One of the showers had no hot water.

The crowd meter on the app was wayyyy off. I know that's a dev thing and not really the fault of this location but still disappointing when you expect a smaller crowd and you show up to a full house.

I can't believe I'm saying this but the PF in Mount Pocono is much nicer. And NOTHING is nicer in Mount Pocono.

We joined a few weeks ago, and we've had such a positive experience so far. The equipment and facility is clean, the atmosphere is accepting, and your employee Jesse is top notch, every time. Our first interaction with Jesse, he took the time to walk us through the entire gym, explained the layout, programs, perks and things the gym offers. Every interaction since, he's been very warm and helpful, making himself accessible to answer any questions we've had so far. He made us feel very welcomed and comfortable - we are happy to call this gym our home PF gym, and give Jesse a raise! ;)

This used to be my favorite gym of all time and then they decided to "improve" it by getting rid of all the old weight machines and rearranging everything. Today was my first trip to the "new and improved" version and I hated every minute of it. Most of my time there was spent trying to find the next machine I wanted to use. And once I found it it was a crapshoot if it was available since they greatly reduced the number of machines compared to before. And since all the old machines were replaced you had to waste time trying to figure out the best seating position and ideal weight. If you like Smith machines, you will love this place now since they now have 7 of them along with 4 pulley stations. If you like weight training either free weights or machines, you will not like it here anymore. It seems like with all the "improvements" they made they had a certain demographic in mind and it definitely was not the 55+ crowd which ironically makes up the largest chunk or their membership. Based on the looks on the faces of the other regulars I saw there, I was not alone in my frustrations. I'd hate to switch gyms because PF is still the best value on the planet but if I'm no longer able to get a decent workout there, is it really a bargain? I've been a member of this location since they day it opened but after today, I'm not sure if I'll be back. There's an old saying that definitely fits here, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

My favorite gym location in the Planet Fitness branch. Fans are always properly spinning and keeping the air from being stale. Layout is easy to understand and get around. Plenty of each machine and constantly improving. Workers are consistently helpful and friendly and in the years I've been going to this location I have no complaints.

I've been a member of Planet Fitness for a while now, and while I appreciate the affordability and convenience, I can't help but notice a glaring issue that could be easily resolved with better data analysis and optimization.

During peak times, there are always 4 occupied stair masters, while rows of treadmills sit idle. This poor allocation of equipment results in unnecessary wait times for popular machines. It's disappointing that despite having the data to understand member usage patterns, Planet Fitness has not optimized their equipment distribution to meet actual demand.

In an age where AI and advanced analytics are readily available, it's frustrating to see such a clear opportunity for improvement being overlooked. With the right tools, Planet Fitness could easily adjust the spread of their equipment, ensuring that members don't have to wait around for their preferred machines.

I hope the management will consider leveraging these technologies to enhance the member experience and better meet the needs of their guests. Until then, it's a frustrating aspect of an otherwise decent gym experience.

I am from MD but visiting 248 PF and I see ALOT of people on their phones in between sets they take up the machines 2-3x longer than they have to!! Just do your sets and get off the machine so others can use it!! If u tell the front desk they do nothing about it!!! The one young girl with long hair at the desk is not very friendly!! I am just not impressed with this gym compared to Elkton, MD!! O, the equipment is old at 248 compared to Elkton!!

the gym is fine & the employees are nice BUT it’s literally such a money trap. You can’t cancel on the phone or through the app. You literally have to go in person to cancel and even then i was charged $35 to cancel my membership. You also can’t change locations easily, you have to do everything in person for something that takes 2 min. I’ve moved a few times in the last few years and genuinely regret the money i spent on planet fitness.

I came to this planet fitness at 11:30 p.m. on a Tuesday to get a late night workout in. Although it had been some time since I had last used this gym, it was definitely not my first time at this location. Being a lifetime fitness enthusiast and professional, I treat all gyms with respect. They are not a playground, there are dozens of ways someone can get hurt. With this being said, I'm not exactly sure when planet fitness lowered their standards so much, but tonight it was clear that the so-called "judgement free zone" has become the equivalent of McDonald's playland. I can't even wear a tank top with the sleeves cut off, yet this planet fitness allows middle school children to treat the machinery and the weights as if they are toys. Loading an absurd amount of weight onto machines so they can take videos/pictures, and try to show off for each other. It's irresponsible of the staff, owners and planet fitness as a whole to allow unaccompanied little kids to treat the facility like it's a playground. Furthermore, I should not have to wait for equipment because these kids are misusing the weights in an unsafe manner. I use to recommend this gym to a lot of my friends, I will no longer do that. Instead of a lunk alarm what they really need is a recess whistle to round up these toddlers and send them home. Not a great place to get a workout in anymore, but definitely seems like a place to send your kids for daycare.

I travel across the country and I have worked out at a lot of gyms and this location is by far one of my favorites. The gym is always clean. Daniel and Colin are always cleaning the machines or vacuuming. I don’t see that at gyms nowadays. The staff, they’re always nice and answer all my questions. Only got started after they had a teen work out free summer pass, and my daughter begged for us to join. So greatful for that opportunity! It truly has become such a vital part of my week. Extremely disappointed… paid $39.99 in June to start a membership and needed to cancel today for a few reasons, charged another $59 to cancel… not pleased…

At the initial signing no one explained the types of memberships … I was a loyal member for years before Covid … I actually wanted to freeze my account and that wasn’t an option… so needless to say, I won’t be returning.

Future members beware … it isn’t $1 sign up and minimal monthly membership … make sure you get the details in full… apparently there are many types of memberships.

I tried this location out for a different change of scenery. Was hoping for more access to what I like most to use. The set up was nice. Totally different than my Easton location. Very clean. Was greeted as soon as I walked in and when I left. Only reason why I gave four stars and not five is because for as big as this PF was, there was only one leg press. I was disappointed as it's my favourite thing and it was occupied the entire stay. ( 45 min) Also the reception is no good if you don't use the wifi. At least for me. If you have T-Mobile you may want to use the gyms wifi. Not a huge deal for me though. I might be back to this location.

I need to cancel my membership and thay wouldn't let mecancel over the phone. Thay want me to come in and "personaly resign" or send a letter by snail mail. . Just started going to the gym in November and was hesitant. The staff is extremely friendly and can always be seen cleaning and checking the equipments. The other gym-goers are also very conscious of cleaning the equipment after using it and keeping their distance. A good mix of different types of people are always there too! DON’T JOIN UNLESS YOU’RE FULLY COMMITTED. I kinda just joined to see if I liked it, I was a classic member for a bit over a month then I decided to cancel my membership since I wasn’t really feeling it but here where the problems start. When I canceled my membership, I had to pay a $58 fee for the 12-month commitment, so I’m like fair enough and paid. Then 2 days later out of nowhere I get hit with another fee, a $39 one that apparently is the “annual fee” or something which got me confused because I could of sworn that was the same as the 12 month commitment. For all I know there’s probably another sneaky fee I haven’t seen. So I basically paid over a hundred bucks just to go to the gym for a month, so much for “$10 a month”.

Not sure why so many negative comments. Place is always clean, friendly staff and members, tons of equipment so you never wait. I was never charged a dime while they were closed for COVID. I joined before the club even opened so it’s been a few years now. Never had one issue. Those complaining about the auto renew and cancel policies; all was explained in detail when I signed up. Having my Amex as a backup payment is awesome. It’s the gym so I rarely have my wallet with me and if I forget a bottle of water I just grab one and they charge my card for me. Very convenient.

Went to gym with banking info. Was ask also for credit or debit card info for secondary payment info. Couldn't put me in without secondary payment info. It was a Ten dollar sign up fee and they can't accept cash. Staff was professional but can't understand with my bank account info why you need secondary payment info. Oh wait I know makes it harder to cancel. I'm retired law enforcement and had to resign from the gym months ago due to member mask noncompliance. Not staffs fault it was all on the membership.
