Love the location. Terrific staff. Always clean. Martinez is the man. One knit to pick. Not in love with the notice about pushing weekend opening times back to 7 am. I love this Gym. The staff are very friendly! Never a wait for the tanning which is nice, there was a rumor maybe like six months ago that one of the managers was watching people from the ceiling while they were tanning, but I set up a camera all the time and I’ve never caught him. Love you guys.

I’ve been going to this gym for a couple years now and it’s my favorite. The staff is very kind and welcoming, shout out to Martinez. I was surprised to see him in last night, he seemed to have been in some kind of accident but still managed to come into work. Props to him for that.

I’ve been going to this Planet Fitness for over a year and a half now and it has exceeded any of my expectations! The equipment, locker rooms and spaces are always spotless. The environment is very positive and allows everyone to workout comfortably. I usually go early in the morning before work and the AM crew is nothing short of amazing. Nataysha is the reason this gym is my favorite. She’s always so kind, genuine, and has impeccable customer service no matter the day. I find it amazing and admirable that she comes into work like that everyday and I see her at 6am! I never liked going to the gym but I find myself more motivated because she’s there. She’s a star here at Planet Fitness Fishtown, I hope that the company values her as much as me and my boyfriend do when we come into the gym 3 times a week!

This Planet Fitness legit feels like a small community space in the best way. Every time my girlfriend and I go for a workout, Nataysha is always there at the front desk to greet us with a smile and gets us excited and motivated to work out - her enthusiasm is such a welcome burst of energy in the morning. I have yet to actually work out here. I just use this as my go-to place to defecate when I'm in North Philly. The mens room is very clean and always has a good amount of toilet paper. The staff knows me and how I use their facilities and have said "enjoy your bathroom visit" instead of "enjoy your workout." Love the attention to the customers' needs.

It’s clean, it’s got lots of equipment, and it’s not crowded. What more could you want? I considered City Fitness, but it had less equipment and more people and was like 4x the price. Also, PF has way more parking, if that matters to you.
The treadmills are easy to use. If you don’t like seeing the clock on equipment, bring a towel because it’s very prominent. The emergency stop button is easy to accidentally tap. I think that might help me in the long run, though, because it will force me to improve form and control. The cross bars are relatively low and the screen is set back relatively far back, so I think this will encourage better form that most treadmills.
There are a lot of TVs to see from the cardio equipment
It’s very spacious compared to most city gyms. No cramming into tiny spaces to stretch, which is nice.

This location is by far my favorite. The staff are very friendly and keep the gym tidy. It's rare to find someone filming themselves or taking a photo of themselves (at night time); which makes it more comfortable to workout. Had a wedding in Old City on Friday night and was looking for an early open PF for Saturday morning. Fishtown PF was closest that was open at 6am (most others 7am). Really happy I decided to check it out! Clean. Friendly staff. Lots of up to date equipment (lots of everything !) and also a solid black card spa. Very impressed!

A great gym with a great staff. I want to point out that Richard and Nataysha are very friendly and constantly working to keep the place clean. They have both been very helpful and making this a nice place to go on the regular. First time I met Nataysha she made sure that my picture was up to date on my profile and did the same for other guest that came in behind me.

I've been to other gyms where the staff are just missing, this is not the case here.

There was an altercation while I was in the gym yesterday and I was surprised how well Nataysha handled the situation despite being new to the gym. Overall the staff did a great job handling the situation.

I am a local business owner and I suggest everyone in the neighborhood to check this gym out and not count it out.

This location used to be so clean but then one of the employees left who would keep a tight upkeep of the floors and machines. Now this location is full of dust plus machines keep breaking.

Update 2 weeks later - the crew definitely started doing more wiping down of the machines and dusting. Smith machine has been broken and is still broken. Refresh the equipment in this place.

Getting a membership at Fishtown Planet Fitness is one of the best things I’ve done for myself lately. Training with the fitness trainer, Anthony, has been really amazing. He is a knowledgeable trainer and a very kind and fun person. I am coming back to working out over a decade after an old injury and when working out alone I tend to overdue it without knowing. Training with Anthony’s guidance has allowed me to train hard, but safely and I’ve made lots of progress so far. I’m always digging deep and sweating hard in our workouts but I’m never overly sore the next day! He provides a perfect balance using various exercises. He knows a lot so my workouts always have variety and he always caters to my wants, needs, and abilities. The rest of the staff are also very friendly and helpful and the facility is always very clean!

I usually only come at night cause I love the night crew (Martinez and Cam) those are my guys and they are hard workers!! definitely never need to worry about the cleanliness of the gym. My husband and I usually go to the gym 3 days a week. We use to go to another planet fitness in Lansdale and it was really clean full of equipment and nice staff. This place also is clean and the staff are very nice but my main issue with it is not having removable barbells. There are 4 smith machines but you can’t detach barbells out it so can’t really work on you balance as the machine helps you holding weights. I would said there are some free barbells but they are too light for my experience.
We might consider changing the gym just because our coache want us to practice our balance. Other than that it’s a a good place.

I was repeatedly treated badly by a particular staff member normally there evenings around 5 pm I asked her name she would not tell me. Skinny black girl best way I can describe her. She Is very rude and always makes it a huge issue and prolonged process just to set me up on a massage chair. She was ignoring me today and talking to her co worker as I was asking to use the massage chair. I said excuse me she looked as if she was upset that I interrupted her. She asked me to the sign the clipboard that she touched with her hand after I signed it she said can I write it nicer she can’t read that. As I started signing again, she told me not that Clip board the other one. This is not the first time, she always nit picking and bothering me and being difficult with out any reason. I am very upset, and would like something done about it. She refused to put the massage on. She’s extremely rude, unpleasant, unprofessional , not helpful at all. I guess you get what you pay for, planet fitness is cheap but at this point it’s not even worth it. I’ll be looking for other gyms to join.
