I want to take a moment to recognize the exceptional team at the Planet Fitness in Germantown. Every time I walk through the doors, I feel truly welcomed and cared for. Rasheed Haynes, the general manager, sets the tone here. His leadership is grounded in kindness, respect, and genuine care for every member who comes in. You can feel that energy the moment you enter.

I also want to specifically shout out Malik, Andre Smith, and Mike C — each of them consistently goes above and beyond. Whether it’s answering questions with patience, keeping the environment clean and safe, or simply greeting you with warmth and positivity, they help make working out something I look forward to.

This location should be the North Star for Planet Fitness nationwide. It’s not just the equipment or the layout — it’s the people. The atmosphere here is supportive, encouraging, and community-oriented in a way that is rare to find.

I leave each workout not just physically better, but emotionally lifted because of the way this team treats people.

Allowing kids under the age of 15 in without a parent a lot of immature kids running around playing with equipment while staff just stand there and allow them todo so it was so many young kids in there I literally walked out it’s too small of a gym to allow kids to be running around that shouldn’t be there without a parent

The gym is small with limited machines and weights, yet the gym is located in a convenient spot with lots of parking, stores, bus stops and is a relatively busy section of Germantown. The customer service is fair with room for improvement; the front desk is usually empty with no help around. But the gym has lots of flat screen tvs hanging to keep you distracted from working out, change room with showers, and a room with two or three massage chairs from the 1980s. Some of the exercise-machines can be updated but overall the patrons are friendly clean up after a machine use with a few exceptions. Nevertheless it's in my neighborhood and I find that to be convenient for me given it's proximity. BTW, it's always clean they make sure to keep it clean someone is always cleaning up.

This location has some of the best staff I’ve ever encountered! The workers are incredibly friendly, always greet you with a smile, and are super helpful whenever you need assistance. The gym itself is clean, well-maintained, and has all the basic equipment you’d expect.

That said, be cautious if you plan to use the locker room. Make sure you bring a lock if you’re leaving valuables in a locker, as there have been instances of theft. It’s a shame because the facility itself is great, but you can’t be too careful with your belongings.

Have decent equipment, but staff members were very rude about closing procedures on multiple occasions. One employee used the lunk alarm like an air raid siren every 5 minutes starting 25 minutes before closing to try to get people to leave. Aisha, another employee, individually confronted customers screaming at them to leave 20 minutes prior to closing so that they could close early. This should be unacceptable

The club changed dramatically, After being a nice and clean place 👌 it turned into afilthy place, specially the locker room and the bathrooms.

They start by removing the paper towel dispenser from the bathroom, forcing the club members to just use the air dryer as only choice , and occasionally they just don't refill the wall-mounted soap dispenser and the trash being left everywhere..

Clean, friendly staff, lots of machines and equipment options. I'm over 60, recently lost a *lot* of weight and now trying to build some strength but it's been 30 years since I last went to a gym. I thought I might feel embarrassed or intimidated but nope. There's every kind of person you can imagine there, all different skill & fitness levels and to me it really seems to be, as they say, judgement free.
Special props to Trainer Mike who's taught me a lot of valuable stuff without making me feel less than someone 40 years younger even though tbh I'm not a super fast learner.
Highly recommend Germantown Planet Fitness to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, well equipped gym in the area.

The first person I met was Tyliah (forgive me if I misspelled your name). She was epic. First of all, she was calm and kind. She offered to walk me around the gym and point out the equipment. I wish I could express it better. The whole experience was packed with information while still being super chill. Her tone was instructional but not stiff. She detailed everything from the equipment itself to what gym members can expect. I had come with a list of questions, but she provided the answers before I even needed to ask anything. She deserves a raise. You do not even realize.

The place is clean, and the staff are friendly. I've begun meeting with Mike on Thursdays, and he's been very encouraging. I'm tempted to be embarrassed about how puny I am, but he's been so chill. He pushes me when I'm not really stretching my limits, and he's also aware of when I'm not capable of pushing further. I've only been going about a month, but it's been a great experience.

It's nice!! A great big gym with many different ways to exercise and build strength, and even ways to sit back and relax with their massage chairs. However, the showers need to be worked on. I don't think the hot water heater works or something, because when I tried taking a shower, the water was cold and it didn't feel comfortable. I don't think the hot water been used up either bc it seem like I was the only one using the men's shower room for a while, as if it wasn't busy in there.

A seemingly smaller planet fitness than most others I've frequented. It's seemingly decent. A pleasant surprise was the hair dryer actually being present and working.

Can't really critique it too much as I just came to clean up and leave on a work break as I was near by.
