planet fitness changing the layout to this location is beyond me. I HATE IT. None of the machines are in rhythm with workouts I have to walk all the way to the other side of the gym to use machines that were next to each other and they took away 90% of the elitpicals. Like what are ya doing. I’m looking elsewhere. Planet fitness HQ ya messed up.

I rarely get to use the equipment that I come in for. One of my issues is that they have only 4 stair masters and one is broken but that it’s one of the most popular cardio machines. The one machine has been broken for over a month, so really they only have 3 stair masters. They have endless elliptical machines that are unused. They do have smith machines which I appreciate and if you come at the right time you might be able to get a bench for free weights but that’s hit or miss. Overall I rarely get to use what I came to use for my workout and was a guest here for over a month with my husband before joining myself.

The manager is amazing, however her staff is the complete opposite... There's a older female employee who wishes to clean the machines when in use. She will enter your personal space spray chemicals and almost caused personal injury because she decides walk behind me when performing a movement with heavy weight... I'm hoping this isn't racially motivated.

I love this planet fitness tbh but two stairmasters out of service, one of two leg curl machines out and one of the glute kickback machines has a messed up track on the left side. It’s been too long and since gym gets busy you have to wait to use these machines. Please fix!

I love working out here! The equipment is great; there are pictures on each machine showing you how to use the machine. The app is also helpful! I utilize the hydromassage chair, stand up tanning booth, and the red light therapy booth. I do see many people taking up the equipment while scrolling on their phones (and not between sets) and quite a few folks not wiping down the equipment after their use but that's in NO WAY PF's doing. Some people are just inconsiderate and gross. Clean your sweat up!!

It's disappointing to see how poorly this location is managed, which became even clearer after reading the dismissive response to my initial review.

This is not only a poorly run Planet Fitness but one of the worst businesses I've encountered. Allow me to elaborate on some of the ongoing issues:

1. The temperature inside the club remains stifling, and the overcrowding due to oversold memberships exacerbates the situation. This is made worse by the fact that no fewer than six machines are consistently out of order.

2. Many of the sanitizing solution nozzles are broken, making it difficult to clean equipment properly.

3. On two out of the four occasions I attempted to use the tanning beds, they didn’t work. When I informed the staff, their indifference was disheartening. For instance, one staff member simply took the door number hanger from me and said nothing. This is a significant inconvenience, especially for customers visiting on their lunch break.

4. The majority of the staff appear disengaged and uninterested in customer satisfaction. Apart from one notable employee, the team generally seems indifferent unless you're a young, attractive female—which I did witness one staff member actively engaging with.

It's truly unfortunate that this is the closest Planet Fitness location to my workplace because it has consistently proven to be a waste of time. The lack of care and poor management are unacceptable for a business that relies on customer loyalty.

The past 15 years along my extensive travels, I've been to no less than 75 different planet fitness locations. This one is about par for the course. Nice parking lot fairly well maintained equipment however.. several times I visited the air has been absolutely stifling. Not a big deal if your staff or simply not training hard enough but considering the grinders ...Might want to look into the number of air changes per minute, reducing the humidity in the air and perhaps lowering the temperature. It is a gym after all.

The gym area is kept clean but the men’s locker room and bathroom are atrocious. They are not quick to fix equipment, some have been out of service for over a month. We all know planet fitness makes a ton of money, equipment should not be out of service more then a few days.

Great staff, equipment does the job, members all respectful, friendly, and from all walks of life and fitness categories, which I really like. Lots of space, too. One issue I have is that Fox News is always on. They also have CNN and MSNBC, but Fox is always row center, and I just find it irritating with the non-stop super biased headlines in my face. Can't beat it on price. It's well staffed, well- equipped and well-maintained. The cardio area is large and has treadmills, ellipticals, stair masters, cycles and rowing machines. For resistance training, they provide a number of machines free weights. There is an area for floor exercise and a station for calisthenics. My only quibble is the limits on the free weights area, Dumbbells only go up to 75. lbs. You can only use adjustable barbells in the 6 Smith presses, which fill up fast during busy times. Still, even within these limits, I've been getting decent workouts for three years.

This gym is Always clean! Love the app. It tells you how busy they are... but what makes the South Philadelphia gym the best (are the employees!) They are all so friendly, kind, and compassionate! Course I have my favorites - But no matter what time you go in, you are greeted with a beautiful smile, words of positive energy making me feel like, I got this, let's get it done!

I dropped my wallet in the gym when I went to staff they sad someone turned it in I mentioned I had cash in it then they said oh wait some woman came and claimed it I said I was calling the police and staff member said with all the bad things going on in the world if I was you I wouldn’t call the police for this smh when the police showed up my wallet mysteriously appeared when asked where it came from they said someone came up to the counter and turned it in while me and the police officer was standing right there and said they ran out the door that never happened $550 down payment for my 17 year old daughters car was gone KARMA sucks and god don’t like ugly.. my daughter was in tears she saved and worked so hard for that money the ones who did this you know who you are should be a real shamed of your selves. I’ll continue to pray for yeas GOD BLESS.

Overall clean facilities. Left gloves there and came back a few days later and was told they were thrown away the day before. It was less than 5 days from the time I left them and when they threw them away. Also they need to regulate the time people can use the bench press area. I waited over an hour to use a machine and I was next. I did 3 different sets of exercises and the same people were on the machines.
