There are several complaints about this person but it seems nothing is being done so I will be canceling my membership and going back to LA fitness!

In the accessible shower stall there are hand bars for stability and a bench to sit on while washing. In what should be the accessible dressing room there is no bench and no chair and no grab bars. Not even one chair in the dressing room area of the women's locker room. There is a long bench where lockers are providing no privacy while dressing. I was told to dress sitting on that bench. I was told no manager is in the building at all. A manager was contacted by phone and it's my understanding that manager said there is no chair that can be placed in the accessible area, that they never had chairs back here and my other choice is to return to the Shower STALL which is WET. What do management at this Planet Fitness understand ACCESSIBLE to mean? Do they even know what ADA Americans with Disabilities Act means? Right now I'm inside a wet shower stall (a young woman was kind enough to dry most of the water away but not all) doing my best to remain safe under hazardous condition through no fault of my own. Every other Planet Fitness has a bench or a chair in the dressing area. It's a standard I've come to expect from Planet Fitness. Conditions are sub standard my check in history I've been to Plymouth Meeting, Valley Forge, Island AVE, Wyncote, 23rd & Oregon, Washington AVE all have chairs or benches in all dressing room areas. Hear me well I better not fall as bottom of my sneakers will be damp when I'm done dressing inside A SHOWER STALL 😖😡😥😭 YES I AM UPSET with this situation like who wouldn't be.

Planet Fitness is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Period. Ive cancelled my membership a year ago after having to beg them to cancel it when they insisted that I visit the branch I registered at. I live in Los Angeles lol. After they finally agreed to cancel it on the phone I felt so relieved, only to realize A YEAR later that I’m still being billed. I contacted them again to cancel and apparently my cancellation never went through and I had to re-cancel. Afterwards, I still found charges on my card. So I contacted my bank and they stopped allowing payment to get processed. Now I just received an email from debt collection about a missed payment to Planet Fitness. Seriously. Watch out for your money. They are RUTHLESS SCAMMERS.

This location is soo weird, if the gym closes at 7pm or 9pm it shouldn’t be a problem as long as people are out of the door before that time but for some reason the workers here feel the need to harass people and get them out as fast as possible. If the gym closes at a certain time, stick to that. I get coming up to people and telling them to leave if they are still in the gym after y’all close but basically forcing someone to leave 10 minutes before yall close is so weird. When I asked for clarification as to what the official policy for closing time is, the man working says “we can do whatever we want”. I have no problem if y’all want people out of the gym at 6:45 instead of 7, but put a sign up telling people or change your closing time. It’s extremely unprofessional. This isn’t even the first time the staff has been unprofessional. Months ago I came in late at night and the gym was pretty much empty, there was no employee in sight either. I scanned in like I usually do, and juts walked across the gym. One of the employee then comes up to me and accuses me of not actually scanning and a being a member. At this point, I’m irritated cus I already started my workout and he was the one that wasn’t at the front desk like he should’ve been. I don’t feel like walking over to the other side of the gym cus I’ve started my workout and I’m irrriated so I show him my app and that my home location is this one. ATP he still won’t acknowdlge that I’m a member and makes me walk over an scan again, extremely unprofessional.

Today the gym was so nasty.. No paper towel.. The young kids running around the gym.. The staff in the trainer is worthless.. The district manager need to crack down on this Gym. The men’s bathroom smell like pee. The whole staff need to be fired.. This is the worst Planet fitness I’ve seen in years 🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿

I gave this 3 stars because for the last 2 weeks it has been nothing but teens who think this is a playground. I talked to the guy at the front and learned that high school students have some type of summer pass. The problem is they aren’t educated on the equipment and they hang around the machines on their phone like it’s a hang out. Today I complete had enough! They were holding up the machines, playing around on the machines, not wiping them off correctly and to top it off only 2 paper towel holder(the ones used to wipe off the equipment) were out. I asked the lady about it and she shrugged her shoulder and say yes they were in fact out and didn’t bother to replace. If this location keeps up with this nonsense I’ll just have to inconvenience myself and go to another location!

CAUTION: Recording Inside The Women's Locker Room

On 5/21/25, I witnessed a woman recording herself dancing inside the women's locker room in clear violation of stated policy about use of cell phones inside the locker rooms. I advised the woman that she couldn't record in there, and she attempted to negotiate with me about her plan to continue recording inside the locker room regardless of the policy. Ultimately, I reported the incident to staff at the facility and they seemed genuinely interested in investigating the incident. However, no assurances were made as to what would be done to prevent this situation from occuring again. I felt distraught by the fact that recording was going on inside the women's locker room. I found it absurd that telling someone to stop recording inside the women's locker room was not enough to make them stop. I plan to cancel my planet fitness membership for these reasons.

The gym is clean, and most of the staff are friendly. It’s a smaller location compared to other Planet Fitness facilities, but it gets the job done. My main issue is the volume of the music. Most people wear headphones, so there’s really no need to blast music throughout the gym. Not everyone enjoys the same type of music, and it can be frustrating—especially when I forget my headphones. This is a gym, not a nightclub. Please consider lowering the volume for a more comfortable workout environment.

A regular gym, the equipment is older though. Nothing has snapped on me and the crowd is chill, so worth joining up. Supermarkets are nearby so if there’s groceries or random shit I need, they got stores to handle that. This gym has about everything you need for basic to advanced exercise. People tend to know each other so be friendly, and enjoy your time.

This morning I was targeted by one of the employees who worked the front desk due to my attire (a dress) which I wear for religious purposes. I was asked to leave the gym because of this attire and the man stated I could not work out there because my attire is a breach of safety protocol. I have been coming to this location for about a year now and no one has said anything to me about me working out in a dress. Also, on Planet Fitness website under the dress code section is does NOT speak against a woman wearing a dress.

When I was approached by the employee (who is Muslim), I relayed to him that my faith is Holiness and I workout in a dress and I dont wear pants. I also stated that if I was Muslim I would not have been told to leave. He mentioned my dress having a design on it and that’s not for religious purposes. Again, he was holding me to a Muslim standard and I stated that I was not Muslim, my faith is Holiness. Nevertheless, in totality, I was definitely targeted due to religious differences and I feel discriminated against due to my attire and I wanted to make sure that this situation was spoken to.

I called planet fitness at 1572 North 52nd Street I spoke about my billing and their suggestion was that I canceled my membership and reopen it back up but planet fitness charges you $58 to cancel your membership having trouble with my billing so I spoke to the manager his suggestion was I give planet fitness my checking account information again but planet fitness was charging my debit card for the for the payment but they don't have my checking account information but they have my debit card information and since they have my debit card information they were charging me the $15 late fee and it was never late the money was always in my checking account so the managers suggestion was that I go back to planet fitness and give them my checking account information I have been hearing horror stories about planet fitness and now I have experienced it

I must say, the Planet Fitness location on 52nd Street is a fantastic spot for fitness enthusiasts! Even though it's a bit far from my place, whenever I'm in the area, it's my preferred gym. The staff is always welcoming with warm smiles for members and newcomers alike.

The gym equipment is impeccably organized and in top-notch condition, making each workout a breeze. What's more, the changing rooms are consistently clean and free from any unpleasant odors.
In summary, I'm quite fond of this club. Kudos to the team for their great work in maintaining such a welcoming and well-kept fitness facility!
