The bathrooms are the cleanest public pathrooms I have ever seen, the staff is super kind and I love this gym. My only complaints is that we need more smith machines, there is always a wait for those machines and we need the fridge to be stocked, there is never any protein milk or drinks in the fridge

Great place to work out and super clean….but so infuriating that I have to walk in to cancel my membership. I had a grievous leg injury and had to walk in to cancel as I’m out of commission for walking/running/biking for 12 months. It is 2025, we have the technology!!

I came as a guest overnight last week and the cleaner Tyquan moves quick and efficiently. Never seen anybody move as fast and actually does the job. Has the no bags on the floor policy been lifted? People putting bags on the machines they aren't using and the staff could care less. No one wants confrontation so you just don't get to use that equipment today I guess. As long as the rule breakers have a place to put their bags. I keep mine in the locker room like an idiot.

I was wearing socks and slippers, and the staff told me to put on shoes. I changed my shoes and went inside, while I saw a girl in slippers and no socks come in and practice. They said they would talk to that girl, but as far as I could see they didn't say anything. A few minutes later, a few girls in slippers and no socks also came in. Normal planet fitness, but the lack of bike parking and rude attitude when I tried to bring my bike in during my workout is unfortunate. (And in my opinion, not very health forward or ‘judgement free’)

Edit: they want me to contact the "club manager" as if I work for Planet Fitness (or care). I'm not getting on my kness and begging for a bike rack at a FREAKING GYM, and its not worth my time to plead my case to the despondent/rude PF staff.

I switched my bank to Chime and since Planet Fitness feels that it is a prepaid checking, they will not accept it. Now I have to come into their office to cancel the account because I am not a valued member because I don't have the right kind of checking account they want. You should be able to accept another form of payment like a credit card or check card.

I come late at night, always after 10pm. the gym is always super clean and the night attendants are friendly, helpful, and encouraging. i am a little concerned tho, that there is now only one attendant on at night! i feel like thats not very safe for the person who has to work this shift.

I like that I saw some new equipment today...but in my opinion they should throw away the massage chairs and replace them with a sauna...it would be 10× more effective after workouts compared to the massage chairs.. also I feel that the staff should enforce the rules more, I saw more than 7 guys using equipment and leaving them sweaty...im sorry but that's honestly disgusting others shouldn't have to wipe down a piece of equipment after you've just used it and left it covered in your sweat...it's common sense you use something you clean it end of story...

Unlike most PF's I visit this location does not have built in combo locks on the lockers. Not having carried a lock in years, I took my chances.

I was cased, my wallet was stolen out of my locker and a shopping spree ensued before I even got out of the gym.

Employees did nothing but fill out an incident report. I called the police who never showed. Just a warning to others and an acknowledgement of dated equipment at this location. I could never go back.

Worse gym ever not only did they give me a hard time to cancel my membership they also told me that since it was the 16 that I would still be charged for the month of February then they try to charge me since my card wouldn’t let them I went in person today the 17 and they said didn’t you cancel your membership I said yes but I’m trying to pay it so I won’t get a late fee and get it over with and they told me as of now there’s nothing they can’t do so they can try to get the late gym fee they are to funny thanks god I’m going to start a new membership at a new gym closer to my house and it is actually a 24/7 gym not like this be they got going on.i will not miss the service from this gym I advise you to go to a new gym they claim not commitment but they worse then the cellphone companies

This location is ok. It's conveniently located, there is a lot of parking, and depending on what time you go, it's not SUPER crowded like the nearby Fishtown PF.

However, the amount of machines makes no sense to me. There are a ton of ellipticals that are almost never used (I've only ever seen a handful of people on these even when the gym is super crowded) and so many treadmills (even when a decent handful of people use them, there are still so many empty treadmills taking up so much space). But then there are only one or two of each of the weight-lifting machines, which are the machines people actually want to use. There seems to always be at least one broken machine, which even further reduces the equipment that people actually want available to them.

The weight-lifting machines are located around the front perimeter of the space, so it's always crowded there while the rest of the gym is completely empty. Why not get rid of an entire row of ellipticals and treadmills and fill that space with more weight-lifting machines so people aren't all crammed into one area? Seems like whoever laid out the space and picked the machines did not actually consider what people want from this type of gym. I've been to other locations that make way more sense in terms of available equipment (the Drexel Hill location is one of the better ones in this sense).

This is also a location where I see ton of people NOT wipe machines after they use them. It's pretty annoying to have to wipe a machine before and after use because I can't trust that I'm not touching someone else's sweat.

Everyone who works at PF is helpful and kind! These days that is very hard to come by. The equipment is clean and up to date. The showers and locker rooms are always neat and tidy!

Updating my review after 3 years. Pros: the gym is still here.
Cons: no longer 24/7
New staff isn’t as friendly
Multiple eliptical machines foot peddles are loose which makes working out dangerous.
The paper towel and cleaning stations are not ideal or are too far away when you leave a machine.
This Planet Fitness no longer waives $15.00 late fee
Also all their tv stations are on the same channel the news. Turn on espn and other sports outlets we don’t need 10 Tvs on the news and the staff never changes the tv

The staff at this gym were very unprofessional and rude. No one was at the front desk, friends of the staff just hanging out. I had to look for a staff member. As an active duty military member, I use active & fit to access gyms while I am on leave. The staff members turned me away because they didn’t understand how the active and fit program worked. After telling and showing the staff my day pass agreement they simply said we can’t help you. Worst Planet Fitness and Staff I have ever encountered.

It's fine for upper body but It's limited for those who want to seriously build legs as it doesn't have a hack squat or belt squat machine. Just one of the two would suffice. The manager said " we won't ever have a hack squat or belt squat machine , it's not that kind of gym. " . So I had to take out a membership at retro fitness and use their hack squat machine and split my time between the 2 gyms

Unprofessional horrible customer service!!! i been loyal customer PF more 3 yrs. Practice what you preach. This gym claims to be a judgment-free zone. Making up rules that don't exist. Been going to the gym for about a month. I have two two small children. I go with the children's father and we take turns exercising. One of us usually sits in the lobby. Previous employees had no problem with this in fact encourage this how . Planet Fitness rules require you to sit with children under 13 and cannot go into the gym area therefore we have to sit in the lobby. Children under 13 cannot be by themselves. Normally no issue suddenly a few days ago there's an issue with us sitting in the lobby and we were told to we're not allowed to sit in the lobby. Which I know is a lie because other people were sitting in the lobby. You can't tell us we can sit in the lobby then have other people sitting in the lobby. Very judgmental probably assume that we were homeless or something even though we have a paid membership and it was already scanned at the front desk. Probably the same type of people that judge young mothers for not going to the gym but also not allow them to go to the gym. Will be reported this to corporate. The employee who claimed we couldn't sit in the lobby although it's actually written down we have to sit in the lobby with small children but then try to lie and say she was speaking to her boss about the issue and her co-worker was laughing and giggling shaking her head no which is very unprofessional. Claiming that she'll let it slide for this one time but for now on we can't sit in the lobby although again people were sitting in the lobby. If you're going to say we can't sit in the lobby make sure other people aren't doing the same thing too. That's how I know it's a lie and also claiming you spoke with the boss we called upper management they didn't know about the situation at all and they even said that you were probably trying to start a problem. I guess people just forget about what customer services is, paying customers deserve good service not to be treated like trash on the street. Do better.

For what it is and how much they charge you will be hard pressed finding a gym in the area with as much to offer as this PF - Plenty of machines and cardio equipment for you to sculpt your body. Tip - Show up early or before 12 if you dont want to deal with a packed house. Otherwise youll probably be stuck doing cardio or less desirable machines.
