I recently joined planet fitness. After working out at home for years and years and growing out of my weight loads. I was completely impressed by how clean it was and you cannot beat the price, particularly for the black card membership and all of the amenities it comes with. More importantly, when I called this morning because I left my sneakers there, the person that answered the phone I believe his name was Mac was so kind and so polite. He seemed to go out of his way to make others feel good! I hope this is received to buy the management team at planet fitness because he is an amazing employee

They just updated with more equipment. Cean, organized. The staff is good. I also like how it doesn't get very busy at this location so there is usually never a wait for machine. If there is it's pretty minimal.

This is a great location with a nice open gym area with plenty of equipment. The only complaint I have is that there is a guy who comes in regularly who screams and shadow boxes and raps loud to his music and the employees dont say anything to him. This is not the gym for screaming, grunting, and shadow boxing. The employees should step up and say something. He wears the same black tank top and flat brimmed hat every single time he is in there.

As a convert from other popular commercial gyms out there, I must say that Planet Fitness has exceeded my expectations—clean (gym floor, equipment, and bathrooms) good amount of machines and free weights, and their machines are usually in working order (BIG DEAL).
Just when I thought I’d seen what Planet Fitness was all about and had to offer, here comes this location to let me know: “Nah, man, we get even BETTER”. MORE and BETTER machines, FRIENDLIER staff, CLEANER, AND ALL MACHINES WORK!
Big kudos to PF Exeter for exceeding my expectations (again). You’ve got a loyal member for as long as I’m in the area!

I am getting back into my fitness routine. Was in a horrible accident and have many scars. Was nervous about being judged. I definitely did not feel that way once I was here. Nice place to work out. There are plenty of machines to get your routine done. The staff was helpful. They were warm and caring. I started using their red light therapy. I am enjoying the results.

Hours are Sunday 7AM to 7PM. I showed up on a cold, rainy Sunday morning at 7AM. Doors were locked. I waited until 7:20AM and no employee ever showed up. There were quite a few disgruntled members saying that this has happened before because this place is run by a bunch of kids. The Sunday morning employee should be FIRED. No work ethic here. Why didn't the manager come over here to open the doors or else get another employee to open the door at 7? People expect a business to be open during their operating hours. No excuses!

Great gym, never really understood the hate this place gets. The membership is super cheap with great amenities. The only downside is there is only smith machines and no real squat racks or bench racks, and the dumbells only go to 75 lbs. It's not a huge deal, but I know Planet Fitness is adding in new machines soon including a hack squat( which I'm very excited about)

This gym is alright, definitely not my favorite planet fitness, but it's clean and usually not busy. I deducted stars due to the fact that the staff here is not friendly. At other PF they will say Hi and Bye, but here you're lucky if they even look at you while you're heading in and out.
This is a good PF to come to in a pinch, but I'd pick another PF to go to regularly, if you want to have a positive and friendly experience.

I dont use this gym but my great grandmother has been coming here for years now, she has early but strong onset dementia and this gym has always been her safe spot. She LOVED the 30 min room so much as it was where she was always at, recently there was a renovation of some sort and you guys took out everything that she adored, not only this but she had an episode due to how much it changed and her dementia flared up, she is now hospitalized for a few days. I hope you guys take this into consideration, and the others who have had issues with the new “renovations”

They make it extremely difficult to cancel your membership. I get disconnected when I call the club. I was given instructions to call. It shouldn't be that hard to cancel when I live 5,000 miles from the club now.

I love the gym, I live 5 mins away to the 5th street one and I rather go to the Perkiomen, traffic is good, gym is large and lot of machines but the only thing I don't like is the club hours. Man a gym should close at least at 12:00 am everyday or 12:00 am M-F and 10:00 pm on weekends.

Been a member for over a year. Started out great but machine maintenance is falling to the way side. Ellipticals rock while you’re on them, just seen cable eyelets are worn on chest press machine, in the middle of a set I look around people are slacking wiping down machines. Very disappointing. Only one person on staff sometimes.
I notified staff multiple times that the feet on the ellipticals need adjustment. I gave up telling them.

I enjoy the spa. I always use the massage chair and hydrotherapy bed. I need the short term rewards, like the massages, to keep me motivated. I do have a couple of recommendations. Either replacing the bars on the leg press machine that hold the weights, or turn the existing bars upside down so there is a smooth surface for the weights to slide on and off with. The bars, as they currently are are worn out. Another add that I would see value in would be an installed sit up bar. It is very valuable for those that want to do regular situps. Some of the sit up bars I've seen anchor into the ground. Pertaining to the Smith Machines, it seems like the Smith Machine's at your location need to be maintenanced. There seems to be more resistance on them than some of the Smith machines I've used at other gyms. Lastly, if you desired steam rooms, if you were to remove the last 4 of the showers as the end of the row (2 on each side) in the guys locker room, you could install a steam room, at least on the guys side. NOT sure of the layout on the female side. If you were to install the steam room, you could probably capture more of market because you would then offer a full spa. Other than these few things, I fully enjoy going to the Planet Fitness gym. To give you my demographic, I am a working father of 6 kids and have no shortage of stress at home. I enjoy my time at the Planet Fitness and see my time investment there as a mini break where I invest at least 2 hours of my time every time I frequent the Perokimen Planet Fitness.

I like this gym its very spacious and the equipment is nice, but the fact that it closes at 7 on a Saturday is crazy. Why do we have to pay the same membership price that we had to pay when it was 24 hours, if I can’t even stay past 7pm anymore? Even when they closed at 9pm that was more reasonable.

My opinion here is is based on a couple simple factors. It's a gym... The price for membership is very affordable... They have a great variety of equipment... It's clean... It's close to home... And best of all, I get a great workout...!!! I am very picky about a lot of things, but Planet Fitness is a very affordable gym where people can go to get physically fit at all levels. Even the staff is friendly and helpful. They are young, but do a decent job.

I come in every day and I love this place. Clean gym, nice new equipment. Music is the perfect volume, some gyms I have been to play their music so loud you still hear it with earbuds in. Nice variety of machines. Only complaint is the limited hours.
Update as of mar 23, are there seriously still no plans to remain open even an hour later? It is a little ridiculous closing at 10 on weekdays still.. it's been 3 years since COVID, we shouldn't still have to base our lives around it
