Love ripped downn okay! I found found ripped through tik tok and decided to give it a chance. I loved the 7 classes for $7 deal I think it’s so cool I try these awesome classes for such a low price in comparison to drop in fee’s at other gyms. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Instructors are attentive and helpful when you need it. And the merch is cute lol affordable prices as well. Just do it don’t think about it sign up come onnnn lol!

Took Sarah’s class. She was amazing. A very challenging tough workout. 11 minute circuits between tone and tread. 11 minutes on the treadmill, 11 minutes at the bench/floor with weights and then 2 more alternating circuits. Dark room, good music and a very talented trainer telling each circuit what to do and when. Thanks for a great class!

I enjoy the Strength Only classes at RIPPEDPHL because I can't use the treadmills. The coaches are very good about modifying for me, and I appreciate the care and attention they provide. It is why I attend as often as I can.

Definitely recommend Ripped PHL for anyone who loves group fitness! I love the rotating schedule and relaxed but guided atmosphere, as well. Katie started class on time and was great about demoing the upcoming moves - she kept us fired up all class!

I recommend this gym to anyone!! I never work out, lift weights, or run so I was super nervous trying this class but I really surprised myself. I do NOT like going to gyms; I also hate working out. Ripped is way more than a gym membership, yet somehow less intimidating. Not only that, but Katie and her crew have always been so kind and understanding of my concerns. Her team and members are supportive, non-judgmental, and feel like a tight-knit family that just wants you to come in and join the fun.
My private sessions were excellent and catered to my ability, needs, and goals. Katie is knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated to helping ANYONE work towards their goals. I am only in shape & healthy as I am, thanks to Katie being a constant inspiration and the realistic (yet challenging) workouts she provides for someone like me.
The studio itself is amazing; it is immaculately clean from the lobby to the lockers/showers, and there is no odor. I am super scent-sensitive and have experienced no bad smells when there. As bright and welcoming as the lobby is, the studio is respectfully dark but lit in a fun way rather than blaringly bright and annoying.
Lastly, the smoothie bar- RIDICULOUSLY good! (and good for you)
Ripped PHL is great for beginners like me as well as die-hards who need to fine-tune their workouts and/or want to really push themselves. Regardless of your level, you will be challenged and cheered on throughout your entire journey.

Best gym in the city! I’ve been going to RippedPHL for 2 years and it has truly changed me for the better. Each instructor takes the time to say hello and encourage you throughout class, and every staff member has been warm and welcoming - I really look forward to working out now because of the positive environment here! Not to mention, I’ve gained a lot of confidence and strength through the thoughtfully curated classes. It’s really encouraging to see my increases in speed, weight lifting, and form.
The environment at RippedPHL is extremely welcoming to newcomers while also keeping repeat clients energized. I really enjoy how each instructor is able to allow their personalities to shine through the music and exercises they choose during their classes. I attended my first class at RippedPHL just about a month after moving to Philly and I must admit, I was nervous! I'm a regular studio-workout-class attender, but I haven't done any classes except pilates and yoga for many years. I'm not a runner by any means, and in fact am not supposed to run much due to some joint issues, so the treadmill aspect was intimidating. I'm so glad I gave it a shot though! Everyone who works at Ripped is super friendly, welcoming, and encouraging. There's no pressure to be a superstar runner or anything like that, just to push yourself and listen to your body. All parts of the workout can be made easier or more challenging. My first class, I just power walked, and I didn't feel out of place at all. The treadmill also has a bit of impact absorption, which is great for the joints. I've done 5 classes now and I've already improved to where I can jog more than half of the time. The strength portion of the workout is also an amazing challenge and open to adjustments. The option to order a post-class smoothie is wonderful as well. I highly recommend RippedPHL classes!

I thought it would be appropriate to update my original review (below) which was submitted a couple of years ago. I just completed RippedPHL session #900 and am ever thankful to the great owner (Katie) and staff whose encouragement has motivated me to forge ahead and attain a higher level of fitness than I ever imagined. RippedPHL is a great community (staff and clients alike) that make the process of fitness rewarding and reinforcing. RippedPHL is a truly unique environment. My experience has only reaffirmed my original five star rating!

Highly professional trainers, each offering different approaches to intense and balanced workouts. I returned to Philadelphia and happened upon a Rippedphl outdoor training and have been doing both indoor and outdoor ever since. Customer service is excellent, too. I am thankful for the programs offered by Rippedphl which have kept me in shape during the pandemic and beyond!

I've gone to a few other HIIT places in Philly (Barry's, Unite) and RippedPhl is my favorite! I appreciate the different difficulty levels offered on Tread and how clear the directions are with the screens. I feel that I've been able to push myself a little more every week and have already had quite a bit of progress since I started a couple months ago!

I've taken seven strength training group classes at Rippedphl and I really enjoy them. Especially the classes taught by Katie and Anastasiia! Love how it is a woman-owned business; yay to girl power! The refreshing and cold eucalyptus towels at the end of class is so nice after sweating it out.

I've done close to ten classes with Ripped, and I am officially hooked! I love the high energy of the trainers and the enthusiasm they bring to every class. The workouts are fast-paced, fun, and intense but can always be modified or personalized, and the space is electrifying with upbeat music - making an hour long class fly by! I would most definitely recommend Ripped for anyone looking for a sustainable, fun, and motivating fitness routine. I especially recommend taking a class with Emma. In a class of 10+ people, she really makes it feel like it's your class. Her energy and presence are unwavering from start to finish. been going to ripped for the past ~2.5 years and its the best decision i made! when i started coming here they only had HIIT classes but have since expanded to strength classes and stretch classes. we love! all the trainers are knowledgeable, encouraging, & get to know you as people. i appreciate that they take the time to create each workout individually so its never the same. also, definitely try a smoothie! whenever i walk out of here with one, inevitably someone will ask me where i got it from because “it looks delicious” 😝🥰

Rippedphl is one of my favorite workout classes I have tried. Every class provides a new challenge, and the opportunity for me to push myself. The option for different levels of speed helped me learn my comfort level for the class. RippedPHL is awesome. As soon as you get up the steps to the studio, you’re immediately greeted by friendly staff. If it’s your first time there, I’d suggest getting to class 10-15 minutes early to familiarize and warm up; your trainer can walk you through how the class works and what to expect in terms of cadence. There are multiple “paths” to choose from in terms of intensity, so you can take it at your own pace and your own weights, though it’ll be tough not to push to your best with the high energy and loud music. All in all, an efficient workout in a fun and supportive atmosphere. All the right amenities too, with lockers, toiletries, and showers if needed.

I use classpass pretty frequently and I will say Rippedphl has been my favorite class I’ve taken so far! I myself am not an avid runner but I love the 3 different options in regards to speed and pacing myself on the treadmill. For my first class, it felt very easy to understand and follow along. Katie (the owner) was so nice! I love the atmosphere and the instructors really motivate me to keep pushing. The showers and locker rooms are pretty clean. 10/10 really recommend

Deserves 10 stars! RippedPHL deserves recognition. Considering there are a million classes to choose from in the city, this one is worth the time and money. Prices are fair, and cheaper than most boutique style fitness classes. Lots of class times to fit a variable schedule. Easy modifications for any fitness level. Everyone is so nice, with zero "gym-timidation". The facility is gorgeous, locker rooms, clean showers equipped with everything you need. Full disclosure, I hate exercise in general and I hate group classes, but this is different. I now look forward to starting my day here!

As someone who enjoys lifting but not so much cardio, the class I took was great for me by providing different benchmarks to aim for during the running portions. By having 3 different difficulty levels to choose between each segment, It allowed me to pace myself better when I needed to, and push for a higher benchmark when I had the energy. The music was upbeat and the instructor had great energy!

I would recommend RippedPHL to anyone who is new to working out or wants to get stronger! It’s a mix of cardio and weights, so you won’t get bored/tired of the exercises. When you’re on the treadmill, there are three different intensity (incline and speed) that you can follow with a timer, so you won’t ever feel lost. I have been to Barry’s/Unite Fitness around the area and nothing compares to Ripped as it feels more personal. All the instructors motivate you, correct your form, take time to know your name, and suggests alternatives. And I always feel comfortable coming here - regardless of how strong or weak I felt that day!!

Challenging, fun, dynamic! This is a work out you can make your own, without ever feeling like you’re on your own. The environment RippedPHL creates is welcoming and uplifting. Coming off the Insanity Workout this is somehow harder and more rewarding. The staff is amazing, the trainers are always motivating, and the facility is great. Classes are as hard as advertised but like anything, if it's worth doing it's challenging. I can't recommend it enough if you're looking for a quick way to get in shape I'm already more toned than when I started and I've only been going for two weeks.
UPDATE: I just wanted to add more of my experience after continuing through the initial 3 Month Commitment to RippedPHL's membership plan, I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. If you're on the fence about joining a gym but are looking at a class-based fitness routine I really can't praise RippedPHL enough. I think it's safe to say that I'm in the best shape I've ever been in and I've had a great time getting there. RippedPHL's classes are the best exercise experiences I've ever had and it's worth every penny. they offer a free first class if you'd like to try it out but if you're willing to commit to a fitness journey RippedPHL can get you where you want to be without a doubt.

if you are looking for a good work out where you sweat but at the same time you are surrounded by great and happy people, Ripped is where you have to go. Everyone is so nice and friendly, like being in a family. The workout is also great, I went there 6 times and I have never been disappointed, they also have a bunch of events during the month that makes the whole experience even better. Lastly, if English is not your first language at Ripped they have a screen where you can follow the different speeds that you have to use while on the treadmill, that in my opinion is very smart. Almost all the time in other fitness classes I get lost because with the high volume music I don't understand what the instructor says!!

I discovered Ripped through Classpass and it's quickly becoming one of my favorite workouts in the city. The classes are haaaard, but in the best way! I already feel stronger. The instructors are great and super encouraging and the music is always on point. Also, they have cold towels sprayed with eucalyptus which is absolutely heavenly after a class. 10/10 would recommend :)

I’ve loved my experiences at RippedPHL. The workouts have always been able to get me where I need to be, whether it was just starting working out for the first time , or getting into playing shape for my soccer season. It should be noted that I typically hate classes/structured workouts, but I genuinely look forward to going here as much as I can. Okay, I am obsessed with this place! I was hooked after my first class. Everyone at RippedPhl is friendly and helpful, the workouts are so much fun and INTENSE (in the best way possible), and the protein smoothies are delicious. Ripped is my absolute fav spot to go in the city. You can't go wrong no matter which instructor you take class with. Every instructor is professional and motivating, really bringing the energy. Even during those after work classes when I don't feel like working out, I know after I leave Ripped I will feel 10xs better than when I arrived. After having my daughter during the pandemic, I was by far at my highest weight and lowest fitness level. I had taken a few classes before the pandemic, and after seeing a post about special pricing for postpartum moms, I knew it was time to come back consistently. 5 months later, and I am so much stronger and happier in my body. It’s easy to show up for a class when you know your instructors are going to support you, however you need that day.
I’m so grateful for this community and cannot recommend RippedPHL enough.

This review is SO overdue. I've been a member at RippedPHL for over 4 years now and I'm rapidly approaching 500 classes at this place! To say I'm obsessed with the workouts and the staff is an understatement. I'm approaching 37 years old and I am in the best shape of my life. I used to be a cardio junkie - I would run for 10+ miles at a relaxed speed but never do any strength training. Ripped has made me realize that the key to the body I want is resistance training and short but VERY difficult running intervals (aka HIIT).
I'm so happy with my body thanks to Ripped. I feel healthy and strong. All of the trainers are wonderful; they correct your form as needed and they NEVER EVER do anything but encourage you to do your best. I've been to gyms in the past where I felt like I was being judged or screamed at - but you will not find this at Ripped.
Perhaps the best part is that it's locally owned :-) Katie keeps things fresh with monthly events and "challenges" that promote a little friendly competition amongst gym members. During COVID when gyms were closed, they didn't skip a beat and were able to provide online Zoom classes and socially-distanced outdoor classes throughout the city.

Ripped was great. The instructor was motivating and not too peppy which I appreciate. The lights in the room were cool and the music was great. The process of 15 mins on 15 mins off the treadmill was personally not for me, but the timing of increasing/decreasing speeds/resistance throughout was helpful and made the class go by quickly. The only complaints I have is the insane staircase to get up to the studio and the space on the floor being small.

I found RippedPHL through a friend almost 3 years ago and have been hooked ever since! I had never taken a HIIT class before and loved how versatile the classes are at Ripped. There are all-strength spots if you don't want to run on the treads, and everything can be modified to support however you are feeling day to day. You get to pick how fast (or slow) you want to go on the treads, and you pick your own weights based on your comfort level. The trainers are also always willing to answer any questions/ modify the workout further which has been super helpful for me. I've gotten great results from my time at RippedPHL and between the music and camaraderie in the gym I always feel better after I go!

The workouts are hard. I won’t lie. It’s probably not for someone who’s never worked out. But if you’re looking to take your fitness from “I’m an active person.” To “I will literally out lift some of the men in my life.” This is probably for you.
CENTER CITY IS AWFUL TO DRIVE THRU AND ALWAYS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. They do validate parking but honestly if you can take the train or a bus in do so because driving downtown is always a nightmare. But I still give it five stars because that’s absolutely not the gyms fault.

Amazing bootcamp-style workout. They make it easy to follow the guidance of the instructor, which is typically the most annoying thing about these type of classes. Suggested speeds are displayed on a screen in front of the treads, as well as segment time remaining. When you're on the floor, the instructor is on a platform so you can see them go through the exercise movement. Friendly staff, too. Would definitely be going back.

I have never been a fan of workout classes until I found Ripped through Class Pass. Whether it’s the 45 minute express or full 60 minute class you will hands down get an amazing workout. I enjoyed their classes so much that I canceled my class pass membership and joined their unlimited program. It’s a very intimate setting - dim lighting, fun music, and energetic environment. You don’t have to worry about what anyone else is doing or feel like you are being judged. Whether you are a marathon runner or someone who hasn’t worked out in over a year, you can pick how hard you push yourself. I cannot say enough good things about each and every staff member who continuously motivates you without judgment. Their instructors are extremely helpful at guiding you through the exercises and will help you modify if needed. If you are in Philly and looking to join a network of inspiring people.. look no further!

Amazing gym! Quality HITT/treadmill workouts that can be personalized. They have skilled and friendly coaches that keep you motivated throughout the workout and make sure your form is on point. From my personal research this gym has the most options for class times 45mins to an hour (5am-8pm) so you will never have an excuse not to go. They have clean showers, bathrooms and locker rooms available for members. There are a lot of options in center city (which I've tried) and this is definitely one of the best ones. Give it a try and you'll be hooked!

I found them to be unwelcoming. I signed up through Class Pass, and they turned me away for my first class once I arrived. The reason provided by the front desk is that there was a technical issue with the sign up process; a silly red tape issue that their system was not intelligent enough to overcome. I will not be going back. Something also smelled bad on the inside, not just sweaty workout bad either.

I’ve been going to RippedPHL consistently (4-5x a week) for over a year and it still hasn’t gotten boring! It is hands down my favorite workout in Philly. It is the perfect mix of strength + cardio and the instructors and staff are so welcoming and helpful. The classes are suitable for anyone - from a novice to an expert. They are always a challenge and just when you think you’ve got it down, they introduce new equipment or a new set (hello, Butt & Abs day!). greatest work out in the city. 45 or hour long class options. each day focuses on a different part of the body (you still get a full body workout, just extra focus on one area). rotate from floor exercises to treadmills. Hands down the hardest you will work in a class but losing weight and seeing your arms and abs tone is worth it!
PS: Wednesday leg day with Katie is the hardest but my favorite.
There are also 4 showers which are cleaned after the uses and towels. Also the most amazing shampoo, conditioner and body wash from Malin + Goetz.

I've been here a few times now and I have consistently had great work outs coming here.
The location is in the heart of Rittenhouse, so if you're driving (like myself) be sure to plan for parking. The signage on the street is a little hard to see - it's a single door entry between different retail stores, and then the actual gym is on the third floor after entering through the door.
As explained in other reviews, the work outs are split in 15 minute segments - incorporating cardio (treadmills) and strength training (floor exercises.) I like to start with the treadmills first to get my heart rate going. I feel most people start with the cardio first and then switch over to the strength exercises.
The staff up front and the trainers are great. The check in process has always been seamless, and the trainers always have something new up their sleeves to keep the work out interesting. I appreciate the small class sizes as it allows for more attention from the trainers. They'll work the room during the exercises and give you tips on form - which of course is everything when it comes to strength training. There are specific classes focusing on different body areas, as well as "all out" classes to get a full body work out in.
There are locker rooms and showers with complimentary soap and towels. There is a small seating area outside of the studio area to wait and stretch before in case you arrive early.
Overall, the work outs push you and you leave good and sweaty. Fair warning though - leaving is much more of a task than coming in, the stairs are steep!
Come on in and give them a try, you'll be ripped in no time!

Signed up for a 7AM through class pass and for some reason I wasn't on their reservation list. When I showed up the lady at the desk was unhelpful, unapologetic and wouldn't let me into the class. She said the class was full which I would understand if I was a walk-in but considering I reserved a class and something went wrong I would expect a business who cares about their customers to be accommodating. Don't care how good the workout might be; will never return to a business that doesn't care about their customers.
