Karate schoolAbout the Club
We offer traditional karate classes for kids ages 6 + go. They begin in our Beginner's classes and work their way up into the Intermediate, then Advanced programs. Teens/Adults all train together.

Welcoming and challenging for all fitness and age levels, RSKA is a great place to learn not only Tang Soo Do, but also respect, fitness, self-defense, and other life values that go along with it. My kids trained here as well; it's a safe environment in which they learn mutual respect and good discipline, too. Many flexible timeslots available 6 days a week. Homeschool friendly!

The RSKA Academy led by Master Unger teaches the best Karate techniques and inspires the kids to learn the discipline while still having fun at the same time. We have seen our son's skills improve year over year and enjoy his time and learnings from the dojo. Keep up the good work! Tang Soo!

I have four kids at Master Unger's Rising Sun academy. We are SOOOOO happy with Master Unger. The kids have learned so much and have done so in a really remarkable atmosphere. I cannot recommend Rising Sun enough :)

No.1 Karate Dojo in the area. A Martial Art Wall of Famer, Mater Unge is teaching with high standard. Rising Sun Karate Academy trains from kids at the school ages to adults. My son started at age of 5 and has been training with Master Unger in this Dojo for 11+ years. We love this Dojo.

Five stars isn't enough! I would give Master Unger and The Rising Sun Karate Academy a perfect 10! My son has been a student of Master Unger for almost 14 years now. If you are looking for a place to train in the Martial Arts, get in great physical shape all while having fun there is no other place to go. Master Unger is an excellent instructor who comes from a long line of Black Belts in his family. He takes pride in his work and does a terrific job in tailoring his training to all different age groups and belt levels. This is a place where the student will earn their belt! Thank you Master Unger for everything you have done for my son over the past 14 years!!

Highly recommend this school. Master Unger has the right blend of discipline & fun for your aspiring ninja, and for adults the instruction & comraderie can’t be beat! Whether you are a beginner or you are picking up where you left off in prior training, you will feel welcome to join the team. While the main martial art focus is tang soo do, you will learn basic self defense, a little boxing and other mixed martial arts.
