Spark and Vitality a small boutique personal training and Pilates studio right in your backyard. We are a female owned business with a personal touch large gyms can't offer.
If you need motivation, guidance or accountability...Spark and Vitality is for you. Our Exercise Physiologists have experience working with healthy individuals, medical conditions, and Post- Physical Therapy patients. All of our programs are customized for each unique individual. We are 100% CDC complaint and all appointments are by appointment only

I’m so grateful to have found this amazing personal training studio! Michelle is the perfect trainer for me, and the owner, Jen has a terrific facility with several options. I’m not into boot camp experiences and traditional gyms, so this small studio with skilled trainers (by appointment only) is exactly what I’ve needed. I'm glad I found Spark and Vitality. I had a stroke in 2022 and Spark helped me get a piece of my life back. I'm doing things that I never thought that I would be able to do again. The small group classes allow the trainers to give everyone personal attention. They are aware of possible limitations, like a knee replacement, and adjust the exercises accordingly.

After doing Spark & Vitality's personal training sessions once a week for a few months, I have started doing Pilates classes. Both are wonderful. I really appreciate the small classes (no more than five of us), the over-50 vibe of most of the participants, the personal attention of the instructors, and the flexibility of signing up for classes via app. S&V has made it easy for me to fit exercise into my routine again after a long hiatus. I began small group classes 2+ years ago, and feel stronger now than I did 20 years ago (I’m 63).
Pilates reformer has not only increased my strength and balance, but has improved my endurance as well. I can run again! More important, these classes inadvertently rehabilitated old injuries that I never addressed (rotator cuff tear and sacro-iliac joint issue). Invaluable.
Jen, Alexis and Carla provide workouts that challenge ability, yet they are mindful of each member’s physical capability. The instructor to member ratio is never more than 1:5 which allows for individualized attention so the instructors can ensure proper form to maximize each member’s benefit.
Jen’s and her staff’s reputations precede them. They are really good at what they do and provide a safe and encouraging environment.

I have been coming to Spark & Vitality for private pilates classes since June 2024 after being discharged from outpatient physical therapy. I knew nothing about pilates before starting, and Jen helped me learn how to navigate the reformer machine to make me feel extremely comfortable and confident!! Jen has been an excellent trainer to work with throughout our sessions - she understands my fitness goals, checks in to see how I'm doing week over week, and incorporates new exercises that challenge me in different ways. I've definitely noticed increased strength since starting pilates at Spark & Vitality and am looking forward to making even more progress!!

I've been attending personal training and small group classes here since Oct. I just renewed my membership for another six months so that shows how much I'm loving it. I told the team that I'm training for a long hike this summer. They are doing everything possible to help me prepare with lots of balance and core work. The classes are great and everyone gets lots of personal attention. Highly recommend
Update: I did the hike and I never felt better. It was 2.5 hours up a mountain. My knee felt great. I'm sure all the great training provided by Alexis, Carla, Jen, Joe and more I can't think of right now prepared me for the challenge. Thank you!

I have not only gained so much strength all over my body but I have gained better posture, more energy, more endurance and a more visibly toned body. I started here almost 1 year ago, the day after I retired as I knew I needed to work on my physical fitness. This has been a great fit for me. I am much stronger than I was, my balance has improved and I have enjoyed the classes, the instructors and the other folks attending. The small class size is wonderful as everyone gets immediate focused feedback. I used to swim laps but hadn't been able to for years as I had pain in my arms from a compression in my neck that limited my range of motion. After a few months at S & V doing Pilates and weight training I am able to swim again. I think that these exercises strengthened my back and neck resulting in more stability. I know I look forward to the classes and will be continuing here, hopefully, for many years.

I was in pain from sciatica and a torn hamstring for many, many months. After meeting with my orthopedist, and completing my first round of physical therapy, I found Spark and Vitality. I am overjoyed and look forward to each session. It is actually less than the co-pay For my former PT. I continue my PT exercises at home, and do one on one strengthening now. I hope to eventually be strong enough and mindful enough to join the group classes. My highest recommendation!

Women-owned & centered gym that’s welcoming and supportive for starting a fitness journey. I was matched with an amazing trainer who focused on what I wanted to learn, and challenged me with new exercises. Training sessions were individual usually in a private space, making it very comfortable and taking away any nerves that I felt entering a chain gym’s large space. This was an investment into my health that was so worth it! I recommend for anyone or any age who’s just getting into fitness or wants to upkeep/challenge their current routine.

I’ve been going to Elkins Spark Fitness for over a year, and highly recommend it! Jen, Lauren, and Jenny are all inspiring and fun spinning instructors, and I always get a good workout – I especially like that a short core session was added after Friday morning’s spin class. I’ve also taken many sessions with Jen for personal training, which is tough but rewarding. The flexibility to work with weights, TRX, and pilates is a great plus.
