I have been a client for more than 10 years. I credit Christin with using Pilates to help me recover strength from two major illnesses. --Except that I now have more strength than before my illnesses! In fact, my tennis game is so much better, and I have a confidence in my strength on the court that I have never had before. The discipline, camaraderie, knowledge and professionalism of the staff is exceptional. Christin and Lesley are always able to answer my questions, for example. And there is a lifelong learning emphasis that is implemented by the offering of various different types of body and movement classes, such as gyrokinesis and workshops with Carolyn Johnston, an Alexander Method specialist who taught me how to walk properly after I broke my foot. The studio has a friendly, no judgment "vibe" too, which is nice. Whether you are in recovery, want to build strength, or cross-train for another sport, you will find that this studio will meet your needs.

Been going to a weekly workout for a few months now and it's been great! Susan does a wonderful job of meeting you where you're at, keeping whatever injuries you have in mind and being very cool about offering alternatives to comlete the workout.

I've been active all my life, but an injury slowed me almost 2 years ago. I spoke with Lesley about the best way to rehab and found something far more beneficial than simple "PT exercises". I found not only extremely knowledge instructors but a very supportive community of like-minded people on a path for good physical movement and health. I have greatly benefited from all I have learned and practiced and see no limit to what I can accomplish. Thank you to the "team" at SPARK!

I’ve been a Pilates fan for more than 25 years. Several life changes and work relocations have created gaps in my training, so I have started over a few times with different Pilates studios in different cities. I discovered Spark Motion after moving to Pittsburgh a few years ago, and it feels like just the right fit for me. At first I took private lessons with Lesley; I’m currently working with Susan in a semi-private setting. For starters, I feel energized and free after every session (and it’s fun having a lesson partner). But this is more than a just place to get a good workout; I love the sense of a multi-disciplinary “learning community” and the ideals of personal growth that all the teachers evidently share. Very highly recommended!

Extremely knowledgeable teachers. Warm and friendly environment. A wonderful place where to embark on a life long journey towards health, strength, and full body well being. This is not a place where you focus on burning calories while risking to get hurt in the process. Here you engage in progressively harder movement while developing a life long knowledge about what your body needs, can do, and can achieve.

Spark Motion is a community for health and well being not just classes or a didactic set of exercises. I appreciate the high quality of instruction, the different approaches to produce results and the informal lectures on related health topics.

I was new to Pilates when I timidly started with a mat class at the Pilates Center of Pittsburgh more out of curiosity to discover what Pilates was about. That was about 4 years ago and I have not missed a week since I began training with Lesley. Since I was an avid bicyclist, walker, yogi, and part time weight lifter, it took me quite some time to figure Pilates out. Lesley understood it would take some time for me to catch on and become a fan. Her patience and support made it possible. I appreciate all of the teachers at the studio. I am no longer in constant pain from my lower back, I hold myself different, and I am stronger and more flexible. Thank you Pilates Center of Pittsburgh.

I have been doing Pilates for a little over a year now and my posture, breathing, and strength have all improved. I had ankle surgery in November and was unable to do any sort of cardio for a couple of months, but continued Pilates just a couple of weeks after my surgery. When I started doing cardio again, I thought I would be really out of shape and short of breath, however, the opposite was true. I was astonished! The trainers at the Pilates Center of Pittsburgh really listen and shape a workout plan that best suits your needs. I would recommend The Pilates Center of Pittsburgh to anybody!

I have been involved in fitness for much of my life. I have had personal trainers, trained on my own, and have tried various train at home items. I can tell you that I have never met a more qualified , dedicated, and professional group of trainers as I have at The Pilates Center of Pittsburgh. Lesley is an amazing instructor who takes the time to work with you, she listens and responds to questions and is very patient. I would and do recommend The Pilates Center of Pittsburgh to all my friends.
