Located in the heart of the Catasauqua, PA community, Suburban North YMCA provides a wide-variety of programs and amenities to members and the community. Our facility includes a full-size gymnasium, state-of-the-art weightlifting center, group exercise classes, Stay & Play babysitting, teen center, pickleball court, steam room and sauna as well as programs and classes for all ages. The branch is located across the street from Catasauqua Middle School.
Preschool and summer camp programs are available onsite with before and after school care programs available in seven elementary schools in the Catasauqua, Whitehall-Coplay, Northern Lehigh and Northampton School Districts.

Their school based before and after care programs are a tyrannical monopoly and they take no feedback and you're just lucky if you get a decent caretaker by chance. They've cornered the market in the schools and so the directors and management simply do not take your opinion and do not care. Perhaps I can at least let the Google world know of this horrible corporate monopolistic attitude they have at y-care. Why care? They don't. Negative 1 stars, stay away if you can by any means necessary.

Its a Great gym! friendly staff! Clean equipment. Awesome steam room. But changing the hours on members really stinks. Opening a hour later and closing a hour sooner really makes going to the gym impossible. Overall great gym!!! Just wish the hours would be like the quakertown location or lower their rates....

My closest branch is Allentown YMCA but since it was close due to a fire , I decided to visit other branches and the suburban north family ymca in Catasaqua was the first one , front desk girl was very kind , facility is impeccable , super clean ,weight room is awesome , after one hour cardio I enjoyed the sauna and I get out from there happy and fresh ! Good Job !

To me it was a little warmer than usual in the gym. I did a little extra sweating during Spin class, but it's all good. I always look forward to going to the group fitness classes that's being offered.

The front desk people can be impolite, depending upon which one you see. The workout rooms are ok- clean, and maintained. The bathrooms aren't very handicapped accessible, which was a concern.
