I've been a Pilates client at Surviving Strong for several years now. I love that the class sizes are small which enables the instructors to provide a more hands on experience. Susan has an incredible crew of instructors that are not only knowledgeable but they make classes fun and exciting!

I have been a member at Surviving Strong since it opened its doors 7 years ago and it is the most extraordinary and unique fitness and wellness community I have ever been a part of. Susan Holden and the SS team have created an environment that welcomes people of all levels of fitness and meets them where they are with positivity, encouragement, and just the right amount of push to help you meet your fitness goals. The classes are small so the instructors can give attention to each member. They are so skilled and I have loved every minute of my time at Surviving Strong. No matter if you are just starting or you are a competitive seasoned athlete, you will find a class to love. I guarantee it!

Surviving Strong is helping me age gracefully. Susan and her team focus on each person to insure you maximize every exercise. She also focused on my needs prior to and after knee and hip replacement which had me back on the golf course in weeks. Highly recommend SS over any large studio.

I joined Surviving Strong 7 months ago and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and motivating, making it a great place for both beginners and seasoned practitioners. The instructors are knowledgeable and attentive, providing personalized guidance to help you achieve your fitness goals. The classes are well-structured, focusing on strength, flexibility, and core stability, which has significantly improved my overall well-being. I love how each session challenges me while also ensuring I feel supported. If you’re looking for a studio that truly cares about its members and fosters a strong community, Surviving Strong is the best place

I’ve been training at Surviving Strong for two years, and it’s become an essential part of my wellness routine.
Susan - the owner - and her staff bring such care and expertise to everything they do. They truly understand each member’s unique needs and meet you where you are.
Whether it’s a 1:1 strength training session, Pilates, or a group class, the individualized attention makes all the difference.
The studio is more than just a place to work out. It’s a welcoming, supportive community that leaves me feeling stronger, balanced, and genuinely cared for every time I visit.
If you're after individual focus, people who care about your wellness (and who clearly have the training and expertise to do so), and a wonderful community, run, don't walk, to Surviving Strong!

I wasn't sure I was a gym joiner kind of gal. Turns out I wasn't looking for the right gym. I LOVE Surviving Strong. I have found small classes, knowledgeable instructors, and an owner who cares about me as a person not just a dollar. The classes are fun and fresh. Trying something new is encouraged. Surviving Strong isn't just a place you can join, it's a place you can belong. Keep up the hard work ladies! You rock!

Surviving Strong isn’t just a Pilates place. It’s the people that make this place so special and has really encouraged me on my health journey! Easing my way back into group fitness after my cancer diagnosis and treatment has been so much more encouraging with the commitment and personal touch of all of the staff, Susan, Jennifer, Kaye, and especially Shannon who has provided such an attentive and intentional experience I truly appreciate! Very very grateful!

I was referred to surviving strong and was looking into their programs to help find relief for my back pain. They have a program called “Posture Reframed” where they take all sorts of measurements of your posture and then discuss areas of pain. After being measured I was given exercises that were personalized and tailored to my exact needs. Susan was incredibly helpful and so far after a few weeks of doing my exercises, my back is getting better!

This is THE place to go:
- to be challenged
- to have fun
- to exceed your own expectations
- to be encouraged
- to celebrate the accomplishments of others
- to be celebrated for your accomplishments
- TO BE YOUR AUTHENTIC SELF
Oh… and the classes are pretty spectacular too. Wide variety of options. The instructors are knowledgeable and helpful. Always willing to help you modify to fit your needs and limits… and equally as willing to push you a bit outside of your comfort zone.
It’s a fitness community.

I just started my third year with Surviving Strong. It is by far the best thing I have ever done for myself. Classes are small and varied. I’m in better shape now than I have been in the last 20 years, thanks to knowledgeable and well trained instructors. A bonus is all the new friends I have, everyone is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

I joined after trying their free class and was hooked. All the instructors are knowledgeable, kind and understanding. You don't have to be perfect and you get to learn and be better each time.
I was able to try different sessions and pick what works for my schedule. The women that also come to these classes are so warm, encouraging and super fun!

The smaller classes are just perfect for more individual attention. I had my first Pilates class here and love it. Fitness Classes are geared to help you get stronger and fitter with instructors who are both informative, accessable and so friendly. I had knee surgery and was cleared to do what I wanted but I wasn't quite where I wanted to be. 3 months later, no knee issues and I have the strength back. Thank you Surviving Strong for helping and encouraging me on this journey onward.

Love this community! Great classes, teachers pay close attention to individual’s strengths/form/challenges and modify thoughtfully. Classes are never the same twice so it stays interesting and challenging. The confidence I got here helped me (literally) get back on my horse after an 8 month injury/rehab journey. Hope to see you there!

At the start of 2024 I wantednto go outside of my usual training comfort zone and try something that would challenge me in a different way, queue Surviving Strong. I was immediately challeneged and pushed, my core over the course of the last 6 months is noticeably stronger, my ribs flairing from pregnancy has decreased dramatically and my overall back pain has decreased significantly. so proud to be apart of this community.

I’ve been coming here for the last few months and I can say it’s really been a blessing. Every staff interaction I’ve had has been positive, encouraging, and heartfelt. The team is incredibly knowledgeable and has been so heartfelt in pushing me (with love) to reach my goals while also being supportive every step of the way while I was mending an injury. They really put their heart into the work that they do and it shows! I recommend that everyone gets an opportunity to attend classes at Surviving Strong! :)

I am not normally comfortable doing any sort of exercise class but this place made me feel SO comfortable! Every time I go here whether it’s a Pilates class, cardio or fitness class I leave feeling so much better. My hips usually hurt all the time because I drive so much but now it’s so much less since I’ve been going consistently. I love that every class is only 6-8 people because it gives me a chance to get help from instructors. I also have some problems with weakness and pain in my hands and they make sure I’m ok to do every exercise and modify it for me if it could hurt. Everyone has been so kind and accepting to me and I always feel like I belong here ❤️

I am so glad I found this place! The people are so supportive and positive and ready to meet you where you are and teach you at any skill level! I always feel like I enjoy exercise more when it feels like play and that is what I think about with classes like the rebounding one or Pilates. If you’re questioning, you should give it a try because I’m glad I did- I feel happy walking in and proud of myself when I leave and I love how personal the staff is! <3

There are so many great things about this gym. Starting with the owner who goes above and beyond to make the clients feel heard. When they found out I was allergic to the cleaning scent, they actually changed it! They are constantly asking the clients about interests in different classes and different times, and then actually take action. Then there are the instructors who are kind, supportive and knowledgeable. Last but not least, the clients themselves are all friendly and warm. They are small classes which gives everyone the attention they need (or want). If you are thinking about joining… do it!!!

Friendly, welcoming, challenging, and fun! Instructors and classmates are very helpful, and there is an awesome comradery and culture at the training center. There are classes for all levels and modifications within classes for all levels. All instructors that I encountered have taken the time to get to know me, answer questions, and explain and guide through classes. As someone normally intimidated by gyms and fitness classes, I felt at home here from Day 1. Highly recommend!

I've been doing Pilates for 4+ years. Have gotten much stronger, as a result. Unfortunately, I was getting injured a lot. Been working out at Surviving Strong--mat, tower, reformer, TRX, balance and strength classes. It's been six months and I have yet to be injured. Some of my older injuries are resolving, too.
