Great atmosphere! There's always plenty of machines and benches open. Very impressed with how well everything is spaced out, you never have to worry about other gym goers crowding around you while you get your workout in.

Just joined and I love it! Always playing great music and they have all the equipment I need to build my booty :) Also, the personal training and classes are exceptional. I hear they might be getting a yoga instructor there soon too!

Everything you need in a gym. Could have a few more amenities but not a neccesity.

Gym it's clean and there is plenty of room so you don't feel crowded! It's nice to find a Gym that focuses more on weight lifting than constant cardio! Staff is super friendly and helpful too!! Only real problem is The hours suck! Not helpful to people who work outside of the average 8-5 schedule! They really should work on becoming 24hrs, I bet they would bring in many more customers!

The management is unaware of the policies of what is accessible to memebers.

When I signed up, I felt a bit iffy as the contract was read to me as opposed to me seeing what I was actually agreeing to. I was told the membership could be canceled within 60 days and if it wasn't, the anual fee would then be taken out of my account. Ok, fine, I wasn't planning to cancel since I was getting what I needed from the gym. But still stupid for signing blindly.

Forty five days in the contract, a woman enters the studio as my partner and I are finishing and rudely attacks us for using the studio without being a trainer of the gym or a staff member of Awakenings. We informed her that we've been using the studio for quite some time. I immediately went to cancel my membership after changing and after her too late apology of her unprofessionalism. She gave me a number to call and long story short, what the manager read to me in the contact was not what I actually agreed to. Cancelation had to be made within three days of signing up. Now I'm stuck in this contract for another eleven months.

One star because the integrity of the staff is extremely questionable at this point for me. Our business is through.

what? this is a great place to workout with serious fitness people and opportunities to learn from others, late hours 10pm, clean facilities, showers are hot , off hours are uncrowded, Ive found the staff to be friendly and helpful, its not a LA Fitness, not a primarily cardio machine palace however Ive seen excellent treadmill classes, its a good place for those serious about fitness

I don't have any complaints!! But 4 stars because it's not perfection in terms of having every single amendity that you'd ever want (I.e, pool, luxury locker rooms, cucumber water, and other fancy stuff like that). But you obviously know that going into it and get a great deal of stuff for what you pay for! It's practical, laid back, friendly and I'm glad I joined!

I was satisfied with this gym until the two free month promotion they sold me with my 12 month commitment was not fulfilled. I've been in the process of trying to cancel my membership (due to injuries and frustrations with management) for almost 2 months now, which is another nightmare in itself with continued monthly rates being deducted from my bank account (ugh!). The staff are so friendly and accommodating that I almost feel bad about this negative review, but the club manager(s) seem negligent, uninformed of protocol and policy, and careless. I feel like this manager owes me 4 months of membership fees! Oh wait, he does.....

If you don't want to be greeted at the front desk, you'll like this gym. If you don't mind countless non-working cardio equipment, you'll like this gym. If you don't mind working out in a sweaty & humid gym, this is your place. If you don't mind towels left all over the gym on the floors & equipment, this is for you. This gym is full of teens & lunkheads slamming stuff and cursing out loud. The staff seem more interested in playing with their phones, talking with their friends (members), eating, etc. They rarely leave the front desk except to use the restroom. The personal trainers have zero personality. One manager brings his dog to the gym when he's there, not cool. The staff are too snobby for my liking. They have a head fitness trainer that looks like a guy from the Planet Fitness ads. He walks around with his lats & shoulders puffed up but he won't speak unless you speak to him first. I don't think they understand or care about customer service. Unless you're a young & sexy female, then you'll get tons of attention. The staff also play what they wish to hear on the gym audio system. You'll never know what's going to be playing when you get there. You're kind of force to bring you own music device. I see why people join Planet Fitness, this gym is lunkhead central. They really don't seem to want feedback about the club either. I've sent emails to issue complaints, feedback or make suggestions. You'll get no response. Very poor. If you only want to come & go and don't care about the experience or dealing with others, this might be for you.

I've been a member at this gym for a little over a year and half and I like it a lot. But, like anything, whether or not Sweat in KoP is the right gym for you depends entirely on what you're looking for.

If you're looking for many classes, a pool, a lot of amenities, etc, this is definitely not the place for you. But if, like me, you go to the gym to complete your workout without a lot of distractions or bells and whistles, then you'll probably be happy here. Machines are, for the most part, kept in good condition. Those that are out of order don't stay that way for long. Some free weights could use replacing or refurbishment but, again, this isn't something that really bothers me.

Really my only complaint to this point is that Sweat is aptly named during the summer peak - it can get pretty hot in there! Otherwise, the facilities are far from lavish but are comfortable for what they're designed to be. Crowds usually aren't too bad given the size of this gym. I pay $29 per month, which I think is completely reasonable and is less expensive than some others I priced in the area. Staff is great, as well - always very friendly!
