This was my first sound bath and it was excellent. The feel good yoga class was so relaxing and calming, and the sound bath really put my mind in an introspective space. I felt great the rest of the day!

I have been going to Unity in Chesnut Hill now for a few months, and I really love it. First, as middle aged guy, starting yoga seemed daunting and I struggled to find a place where I'd feel comfortable as a newbie. Searching the internet and Reddit for a studio proved more difficult than I realized as most studios do not lay out a program from beginner to advanced

Luckily, Unity does exactly that! They have a Foundation class and then once complete, you can start the next level and keep progressing.

I have been been practicing my yoga with Sammie and she has been so helpful. She takes her time with you and explains whats happening, but also keeps the flow going so you can keep learning.

If you are on the fence about stating yoga, this is your place.

Loved the studio and the teacher, basic fundamentals, rooting myself back to my yoga practice. This was a home away from home for me from Michigan.

I enjoyed this session with Danny. It's started slow yet truly challenged me. I came in with zero energy and left having finally gotten Warrior 3! Thank you Danny and Unity!

After attending a foundational class, I enrolled at Unity Yoga in Manayunk, Philadelphia, and found exactly what I was looking for. As someone who is 71 with a complex clinical history, I needed a space that offered not just physical activity but deep careβ€”and Unity Yoga delivered. The studio is calm, respectful, and free from the commercial affectations found in many other yoga spaces. The first class focused on restorative and gentle adaptations of traditional poses. The instructor, also a Reiki master, offered revitalizing energy that was deeply grounding. I left feeling not only supported but also grateful to have found such an honest and wholesome environment.

Been looking for a steady local class for awhile and tried this on their $5 class weekend. Nervous as I hadn't practiced in awhile. I'm pleasantly surprised at how comfortable I was. I was a little intimidated by the size of the studio and number and proximity of others, but it was not an issue at all. Instructor Olivia was awesome!

I love this studio so much, and I'm really broken hearted that I have to leave Philly and move away from this uplifting community. Britt, Arielle and all the other studio teachers are amazing, and I love them as instructors.

I was a student at Unity for a few years and eventually joined their 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program. I just graduated from the training program in May. The program exceeded my expectations & the content went far beyond just the actual physical techniques of yoga. Brittany & Arielle, the facilitators, were so knowledgeable, patient, and hands-on. I'd definitely recommend their training program to anyone who is looking to teach or expand their knowledge of yoga.

I started taking classes at Unity about a month ago using their intro offer 40 days for $40 for new students. I quickly realized that I would be continuing after the promo ended. I didn’t realize how quickly I would see results in the form of being able to touch my toes, eliminating my lower back pain and increasing my mobility. The teachers are nice so it makes it a great place to start yoga and/or continue! Would recommend!

Love Unity! I practice here many days a week, and appreciate how each teacher brings their own special flair to class. All the teachers are very supportive and actually want to get to know students.

I was a bit nervous to join a new studio at first, but after a few weeks I got into the groove and am very happy I did. The community is definitely strong here and I look forward to my classes and to seeing my fellow yogis. :)

They even have β€œconsent cards” for students to signal whether they are open to hands-on assists, which I think is a nice touch. I haven’t seen this at any other studio. As someone who is in touch with her bodily autonomy, I really appreciate this.

Try Unity- you won’t regret it! πŸ’•

Uncomfortable studio with floor coverings that don't sit flat on the ground, the studio is either too hot or too cold and at $20/session, is overpriced. It's a shame because we love our instructor Sam, but can't support a business that charges so much yet offers so little.

I went to this yoga studio for a year and originally gave them a 5 star review but I recently realized that the 10 Class Packages I had been purchasing expired after 60 days so I had paid for some classes I never got to take. Their website and third party service used to process payment are not user friendly and it was not clear that these class packs expired and it just prompts you to buy more when they do. I reached out to the owner about this and she was dismissive at first and eventually just stopped responding. Terrible customer service and I’m extremely disappointed. The teachers I’ve had were great but beware of their bad website and the fine print because they have strict expiration and no refund policies with no remorse for customers who were deceived.

My first class with Unity was the Friday evening Candlelight Flow. I was a bit nervous because I never know what I will get with a new studio and I haven't practiced in about a year. This class was touted as a "perfect way to unwind after a busy day" and with the room heated to 75 degrees, it definitely made for a comfortable environment.

Because it was Manayunk on a Friday night, I had trouble finding parking and ended up arriving 2 minutes before class time instead of the requested 15. Melanie greeted me warmly and was very understanding. She showed me where I could store my bag and explained that the studio is trauma-informed meaning they have a card you face up or down next to your mat depending on whether you would like an on-hand assist. This was nice because there are times during class where I would like an assist and other times when I would not. I can simply flip the card throughout the class (as opposed to committing to one or another at the beginning).

The candles were lovely and it wasn't so dark that I couldn't see what I was doing. They have a soft padded floor which was very easy on the knees and helped keep the room warm. The flow moved quickly and there were times when I needed to make adjustments, but I never felt judged or pushed. I could go at my own pace and comfort level which made for a genuinely relaxing experience.

Overall, the Candlelight Flow lived up to its name! Melanie was a lovely instructor, explaining the moves well (never assuming I already knew them) which is what I expect for an all levels class. I've never tried a hot yoga class but I may have to after this experience.

Took a 6am class with Sophie. She was so nice and a great instructor who played a perfect playlist during the flow. The space is really nice and the room isn’t heated by heaters on the wall that blow hot air on you πŸ™ŒπŸΌ They have some kind of floor heat. So excited for this new space on Main Street!

We went to the soft opening yesterday and the Candlelight class was just fantastic! I came with a group of experienced and non-experienced(2nd time doing yoga) friends and everyone loved it. I loved the whole vibe of the studio and the class led by Melanie was great! I’m super stoked that this place is on Main Street! Looking forward to checking out more classes!
