Short review: This is a GREAT gym with incredible people, especially for the area that it is in. Lots of options for both top rope (which I have not done yet and will not be commenting on), and bouldering. The kilter and tension boards are a nice bonus as well as back up options on busy days. Highly recommend going whether you are experienced or new in climbing if you’re in the area.
Long review: everything from the short review stands, amazing gym, good people, lots of routes and options. As an experienced climber who works in the industry, my problem largely came from the setting and grading of the climbs. No matter where I was in the bouldering areas, the only grade that felt consistent was VB. At other gyms, I am typically a V4-V5 climber, but here I was struggling to finish some V1s and V2s, and flashing V4s and got a V6 in just a few tries. This is not that big of an issue for someone who is newer, but can be a real issue for someone with experience bouldering as there is an expectation for grades when you go into a gym and they were not met here. Much of the “easier” grades (V0-V3) seemed to be more focused on power/strength or endurance on holds, with the middle grades (V4-V6) being built more around the technical aspects of climbing rather than all of them being a combination of both in one way or another, and even then it still seemed inconsistent between those grades. Some ways I may suggest to help this is through community consensus grading - putting up a voting platform for the community to vote on the grades of a climb - or getting a more experienced setting team/head route setter that can work toward a better goal of consistent grading that empowers the people who climb there rather than confuses them or puts them down.
My other issues were smaller, but still significant. As someone who works in a climbing gym, I have a general understanding of what should happen on someone’s first time in, and I got that the first time I went in, but this was not the case last night when we were with a newer climber who was in the gym for the first time. I was expecting her to get the tour, and orientation that I got and would give to someone on their first time in, but this did not happen. I knew what I was doing, and I knew she knew what she was doing, but a lot can happen when it comes to bouldering and I would’ve liked to see her get an orientation on her first time in, even if it was just to get an idea of the nuances of this gym. My final point is with the people who were there at the time. It seemed that there were a few groups who were climbing together, which is to be expected and perfectly fine, but they would take up large areas of the wall and not really allow time for others to jump in, and, when we were in the main bouldering area, these groups were sitting on the mats looking toward their friends climbing without much if any attention to what was above or behind them, to the point where someone was standing below the other friend I was with as she was climbing and she didn’t want to finish the climb in fear that she would fall on her. This is something that could get covered in those orientations and could lead to unhappy guests and injured climbers if not dealt with properly.
All-in-all, there’s a reason this is a 5-star review. This is a great gym, with great people, and lot of potential for growth and success. If you are in the area, give it a try and I’m sure you’ll enjoy, and, if you are experienced in climbing, don’t think about the grades, and just try climbs that look fun!

Literally cannot say enough good things. The staff is welcoming and of course safety focused. With climbing zones for all levels. How could you not love this place. My 5 yr old went there skeptical that she was going to enjoy it. Now she literally is asking if she can go back tomorrow and every day after for the next week. Highly recommend

Such a great spot! Our 4 year old loves to climb at home, and this was a perfect distraction from the craziness of holiday travel. Joe was amazing, and helped my newly belay-certified husband feel comfortable! My daughter loved the kids area - the bouldering runs are great, and the belays are just the right level of difficult for the littles. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in town!

I love this gym. My friends go here and they invited me to try it out. The setters are really good at what they do and the routes are fun on both bouldering and top rope. They have a nice selection of walls and the staff are so friendly. The whole place has a super awesome vibe. There is something to challenge any level of indoor climber.

This is such a great little gym tucked away in central Pennsylvania. They are certainly raising the bar on the expectations of quality of all the local gyms. There is a ton of standard gym equipment in addition to all the climbing walls, and my favorite, the Kilter Board. You WILL get stronger coming to this gym no doubt. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. I truly can't sing their praises enough, so don't even think about it. Just show up and have a great time climbing.

Worth the trip…
We traveled a little further than normal to see what Warehouse Rocks had to offer and it’s safe to say we weren’t disappointed. Staff is great and super welcoming, plenty of variety in boulder problems (grades and styles) and the kilter board and training area is a great addition.
Didn’t get to hop on ropes this trip, but we’ll definitely be returning.

Brought my younger cousin here not too long ago. We'd been looking for a new gym that's closer. I usually don't expect much from the new, smaller gyms, but this one surprised me. The sets were fantastic. No cheap tricks, just solid moves that make climbing feel more accessible. There was a lot of variety to the sets. I unfortunately couldn't top rope that day, but I could see the creativity from the ground. The tags specify if arretes and volumes are on, which was new to me, and a nice addition. The staff were very professional and made the experience much better. My younger cousin enjoyed this place. Landed his first dyno with help from the other climbers. I'm thoroughly impressed, and will definitely return here soon as I can.

Scott and his team from Warehouse Rocks built a custom at home climbing wall for our family. We are beyond thankful to have connected with the Warehouse Rocks team for this project. Scott was extremely thoughtful with the planning of the project and ensuring that the wall fit seamlessly into our existing home gym space. The attention to detail went so far as to name the climbing routes after some favorite family destinations and movies (Hawaii, Utah, Star Wars). Once the wall was complete, Scott came back to spend a day teaching our family the basics of climbing. The wall is a wonderful way to wear our 7 and 4 year old out. Thanks for creating such a special in-home experience for us. - Nash, Finn, Emily and Paul

Warehouse rocks is a must see climbing gym here in PA. They really are the best of both worlds, providing the incredible quality you would see at a comercial gym, while also maintaining the warm and cozy feeling of a local gym. The staff and other members are so eager to help and provide information to anyone who needs it. There are some new bouldering and top rope routes every week, and always a wide variety of grades, accommodating beginners and those that have been climbing for years. Everything they own is new and high quality, and the whole place is kept very clean. It is a perfect day trip, or even a home away from home if that’s your thing!

Scott took the time and had the patience to train 6 talkative girls on a girls night out! He made sure we really knew what we were doing! I felt safe and more assured that I could rock climb! The facility was clean and well organized. The people are so friendly and welcoming! I’m no expert but it seems they have pretty state of the art equipment too! Prices are not bad either! The experience was definitely worth what I paid for! So happy there’s a fun activity like this in the area! Looking forward to going back to overcome some of my fears and make it to the top! 💪🏻

Warehouse Rocks is an incredible spot to learn to climb, and keep coming back for the sense of community. The facility has everything that a large commercial gym does, but in a well thought out and welcoming atmosphere.
From the climbers to managers to staff, everyone is so nice and welcoming that you feel right at home!
As a climbing guide it's great to see that the climbing grades actually reflect outdoor grading. It's also awesome to see a growing "gym to crag" program.
I highly recommend Warehouse Rocks for new and current climbers!

Warehouse rocks is an amazing rock climbing gym and fitness center!
Climbing: the climbing walls are clean and well kept with challenging and unique routes. There is lots of space to boulder, from a bouldering section, to a kilter board, to a slab wall, and more! In addition, the atmosphere of the climbing area is wonderful.
Fitness: The gym section is equally nice! The weights are new and very high quality and there are a good variety of machines and rigs to work out on. If this were to only be a weightlifting gym, I would say that their weightlifting section is a little small. However, with it being a rock gym as well there are more than enough!
Staff: I can't express enough how kind and helpful the staff are! They are so welcoming and accommodating and have a great heart on how they want to run their gym!
All in all, I 100% recommend warehouse rocks to anyone who is new or old to climbing and wants a fun, bright, welcoming gym!
