Yoga Lab offers science-informed yoga and mindfulness classes of high quality instruction from trained instructors that are experts in their field. Yoga classes are offered at a variety of intensities, from Level 1-2 (slow and mindful) to Level 2-3 (more powerful and sweaty). We're easily accessible downtown near parking garages, with parking validation for Unlimited Members!
We support self-discovery and encourage community connection to grow together and enrich each others lives. We hope to support you to feel at home in your body and find joy through movement to support functional health and longevity. Through mindfulness meditation, by being present with ourselves, we can open our hearts to more fully engage and participate in life.

I work on my laptop most of the time and have a largely sedentary workday. My body was becoming stiffer and I was low on energy a lot. After one private session with Anna at Yoga Lab, I was moving so much better and, more importantly, started recognizing how to move my body appropriately so that I was engaging the correct muscles. Anna was so encouraging and uplifting as I struggled to become aware of my different muscle groups and how to work them and move from position to position. I also have a neck injury and that complicates how I do yoga. After just 7 private sessions, I am successfully taking group classes and knowing how to adjust poses and transitions for my needs and still participate with everyone else. It has been a wonderful journey and I'm very grateful to Anna for helping me come back into my body.

I love that I can depend on Yoga Lab for the foundations that I am looking for. I have my own home practice where I move, rest and flow as I am moved to do. It's great! AND, the best compliment to my home practice is the wonderful attention provided in my zoom practice with Yoga Lab to every muscle or muscle group and how they interact throughout my body. I tune into my breath and my movement in a way that is totally whole. Bless all the teachers who are assuring that we get this grounding.

Yoga lab is a great place to do yoga in state college. The studio is very nice and I like that they have the social distancing of the mats as it helps to ensure the classes are not too crowded. The instructors are great and help tech me, who does not know much about yoga, how to do the flows. It is very helpful. I will say though that yoga lab is not located in Sheetz as google may lead you to believe!!

Every year I travel from Italy and I spend a couple of months in State College (pandemic permitting). Yoga Lab is one of my preferred destinations there, to find very professional yoga teachers, a friendly and pleasant atmosphere and great yoga practice. Their virtual classes are also outstanding! My experience as a beginner has been nothing short of wonderful. The instructors are very helpful, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The space is comfortable, relaxing, and conveniently located across the street from a parking garage. My two week trial expires soon and I plan to become a member of the studio. Highly recommended.

I had a learning curve for figuring out the website/schedule.... but once I got my routine down the classes were amazing! I went from mainly running to being able to do a pull-up. I really recommend the monthly pass. In addition to great classes, everyone one is very friendly and accommodating. I once accidentally took my aunt who had no yoga experience to a level three class and the instructor was very helpful and supportive. Now that I have moved I am not looking forward to trying to find a new studio because this one will be hard to beat. <3

I came to learn a handstand for an unrelated bet with some friends. In my time my neck hasn't felt this good since 2009 (I was hurt in Iraq). My flexibility went from "equal to a corpse in rigor mortis" to now being able to touch the tops of my feet. The instructors were very polite, even putting up with the fact I have no balance whatsoever i.e. I can't balance on 1 foot.

I love yoga lab not only because of the mindfulness component, but because the teachers combine traditional yoga practice with a deep understanding of biomechanics. They provide micro-corrections to my posture during yoga practice, allowing me to climb out of 10+ years of regular lower back pain. They avoid postures and poses that are inherently risky, or at least build up to them very slowly, and throughout the lesson they provide constant verbal reminders that help us keep the poses safe and make them more effective. In many years of trying yoga on and off, this is the first place that has done this so consistently. I am grateful.

It's absolutely a 5 star from me, only coz there's no option of giving more!!! The teachers are really healers.. Gently, every day they bring us a little nearer to our own strengths and help us build on them. The practice here has helped me recover from a severe tendenitis... I can't even begin to say how cool and awesome all the teachers are- each with their uniqueness add the right blend of spices to the hour spent with them. They're incredibly caring and knowledgeable to provide just the right advice to each person. Its only been 2 months and I see profound improvement. Yoga lab rocks!!!

I am currently enrolled in Yoga Lab's inaugural 200-hour YTT program. I simply cannot make enough positive comments regarding the lead teachers of the program; Kristen, Mark, Ariel, Jeremy, and Anna. π They are all extremely gracious, knowledgable, and supportive. Together they provide extensive experience regarding safe yoga practices, the proper alignment of postures, and the history behind the philosophy of yoga. With superior collaboration skills, these instructors offer a 200-hour program that is well-designed and sequenced, as well as content to cover the breadth and depth of the ancient art of yoga.
In addition, the variety of classes offered at the studio are tailored to meet the diverse needs of everyone, from first time yoga students to the more advanced enthusiasts! This is such a special and wonderful studio. I have tried classes with Anna and Jeremy, Mark, Kristen and Ariel and they have all been a really good treat to my body, mind and spirit!
As a long time yoga practitioner it is exciting to find a place where it is evident they know what they are talking about, and have deliberate and precise sequencing that allows your body to build strength in a safe way. They are super knowledgeable when it comes to the human anatomy and how it operates, which allows me to explore my body and build strength to a whole new level while having a really great time! A really cool thing is that each of them have their own distinct way of presenting similar concepts, and have so much knowledge about the roots and the philosophy behind yoga. All that knowledge combined gives you a very exciting practice that, simply put, feels well-rounded.
Also, this studio offers a space to connect with others, a sense of community unlike many studios I have been too. You get to meet amazing people and develop great relationships.
Last thing, they have this really cool deal in which by purchasing a yoga pass (cheaper yoga that helps me keep my practice) you get 10% off many other local businesses like App outdoors, Websters, Kaarma restaurant... that is just cherry on top!

With a special attention to detail and a deep understanding of anatomy, the teachers of Yoga Lab craft each practice to work on specific (often forgotten) muscle groups which contribute to the overall wellness of the physical body. Already, in my first class at Yoga Lab, Mark Agrusti helped to me to discover & strengthen muscle groups I did not even realize I had!

This is my first time doing yoga (on a regular basis) and I'm loving it! My back was acting up before this and I did physical therapy for over three months (spa and massage), but it didn't help really. After two weeks of yoga there, I'm feeling better already. About the people there, the instructors are awesome! Lot of positivity around! I feel home there. And yeah, it feels good to practice yoga around so many grads/professionals! Thank you Yoga Lab!

I have taken many classes with the teachers from Yoga Lab, and there are many ways to describe them, but one in particular comes to mind: they care more than any other yoga teacher I have ever practiced with. They care for your emotional, physical, and psychological being. I've been practicing with the Yoga Lab teachers for a couple of years now, and I truly attribute my growth and progress in my yoga practice to their guidance and care. They're always so welcoming of new students, and the Yoga Lab studio has become a social hub of the neighborhood in my eyes. Every class I attend, I'm either meeting new people or practicing next to dear friends.
The teachers have all trained in multiple styles, ranging from functional anatomy to reiki. Whether you're interested in practicing on more of a physical level or a spiritual one, you can easily find what you need in any class offered on the schedule. There's even free meditation sessions held at the studio. The studio itself has a modern yet classic feel. Hardwood floors, natural sunlight, and minimalistic decorations. If you are interested in practicing yoga holistically within a stellar community, there's no place in State College I'd recommend more.
