I was a member at Pivotal. Never had any issues. Crunch took over and all of a sudden the a/c didn't work and it was so over crowded that you couldn't find a machine. Curious if it's gotten any better...

1-Star Review: Crunch Fitness – Taylors, SC

If I could give them a -0 I would.

I’ve been a member at Crunch Taylors for months now, and after what happened during my most recent visit, I can no longer overlook the issues at this location.

I signed up specifically for Hot Yoga and have attended consistently for about three months. Normally, people walk in a few minutes late and the door is never an issue. But tonight, I arrived at 6:07 PM for a 6:00 PM class and the yoga room door was locked. No one let me in even though I pay every month for access to these classes.

What makes it worse is that the Zumba/weightlifting class right beside the yoga room keeps their music blasting so loud that it disrupts yoga every single time. So the class next music can pour in through the walls, but it can’t be unlocked to allow a paying member into class?

We are all grown and know how to enter a class quietly. We are not kids! But they have a lot you young kids on staff that NEVER clean this nasty gym.

This has never happened to me at any other gym. Never!

And honestly, the cleanliness of this gym is another major issue that needs to be addressed. The women’s bathroom is consistently dirty, the floors are never properly swept or mopped, the shower ladies leave wet footprints that turn into muddy tracks all over the floor, the toilets aren’t wiped down, and the rugs and mats where people stretch or do sit-ups are rarely — if ever — vacuumed. Even the entryway and mirrors stay dusty and smudged. And these ladies have to be nasty to walk on those floors with no shoes on.

The machines aren’t wiped down regularly, and the entire facility just feels neglected. I previously left the Crunch in Mauldin hoping Taylors would be better, but unfortunately, it is not. Both locations feel overcrowded, unsanitary, and poorly maintained.

At this point, I’m shocked DHEC hasn’t intervened.

There are always a million people in here, but the upkeep does not match the level of traffic. For the price we pay, this is probably the reason. I guess you get what you pay for. This is a Planet Fitness on steroids to be honest that not clean. With the winter coming this is a BIG concern. You don’t know who sick, so I wipe down all equipment before and after I use it. And if you attend this gym, tell me where the lie is? Come on I’m waiting. They clean every blue moon. There should be a clean -up crew at this gym all shift and not just the staff who can’t move from the front desk!

I do not recommend joining Crunch Taylors — or Crunch Mauldin, for that matter. Save your money. There are too many other gyms in the area that actually value cleanliness, customer experience, and basic professionalism.

This is probably my favorite gym in the Upstate South Carolina Area. Here are some of the positives.

1. Cleanest gym that I have been to in the area.

2. Stand-up tanning beds.

3. Best floor setup that I have seen.

4. Great crowd of people. I consistently meet someone cool over here almost every time I am over at this gym.

Give it a try and I guarantee that you will like it!

Good overall gym, for a reasonable price, and I have been to many, and have been weight training for decades.
Pluses:
+ They fixed the HVAC, so nice and cool now.
+ Good size
+ Not overly crowded most of the time.

Negatives:
- The WIFI or lack of it! Come on, is it dial-up, 56K? 1998 called, they want their modem back. No excuse here, upgrade the equipment! It's like a damn Faraday cage in here. nothing gets in or out! CIA in the basement? I just turn off my WIFI, as it takes forever to connect, if it does at all, then the signal is terrible anyway. I can take a phone call if needed, but the building blocks most cell signal even w 5G, usually stops any text and internet access. I'm not there to stream movies or have text marathons like some, but would be nice to have web access and send a text if needed, especially for business. I understand you can't change the building, but if the WIFI was good, it would not matter.
- Need to clean the Men's bathrooms more often, the floors and toilets especially, that area stinks!
- Replace and upgrade some of the equipment:
-Replace old incline chest machine (pin loaded stack), with a plate loaded version like a Hammer Strength.
-Add an upright seated row machine with pin weight stack, this is a very common item that is really needed.
Add a weight assisted pull-up machine, this is at almost every gym now, including the new location at Cherrydale.
- Add at least 1 more leg extension machine (a good one), only 1 of the 2 are worth using, and both are usually being used, so you have to wait. This is one of the most commonly used items. The leg machine area is always overcrowded.
- Add another leg curl (hamstring) machine, a another lying one, or preferably a plate loaded standing machine, ex. Hammer Strength. The one standing machine you have is terrible, the thing is dangerous, terrible design. The knee portion should just pivot left and right with a slight push, shouldn't have to unlock it each time, most want to use one leg then the other, back and forth. Do 4 sets, and you are unlocking the pad 7-8 times. It is also easy to bash your ankle bone on the center bar easily if you have your leg close in, done it a few times, then stopped using machine.
- Tibialis machine would be nice, these are not much $. Get a nice heavy one, and set it behind the seat on the seated calf machine, and then you can use that seat to work the tibs.
-Upgrade the massage chairs, these are great, but only 1 has the full controls, get the others to match this one. The one's who know, know, and wait for this one.
- Add a clock and large thermostat (the one there is too small) to the sauna.
- Fix the lockers with broken lock shackles in the Men's room.

I'm giving 4 stars. My friends and I come religiously to classes, several times a week. We have been to hot yoga sessions, mobility sessions, B30 in the classroom, Pilates. Our favorite classes are in the back in the HIIT Zone. 5:30am with Lenny on Fridays is our favorite. Lenny is great. He encourages us, has an awesome playlist, and he always helps us modify if we need to. He's very welcoming to new people, and makes sure he knows everyone's name. My complaint is the turf. First thing in the morning it is so dirty. Ive mentioned it to the staff a few times, but EVERY Friday it is so dusty and gross. We do a lot of work on the floor, and my pants are gross afterwards. My suggestion would be that the closing person vacuum the turf at the end of the night. I love our gym and I have truly found my people here. The staff is great. We ALL powered through with no AC in the summer. That couldn't be helped, but someone can vacuum the turf.

Great first impression! My guide, Sully, really handled his business! Excellent presentation of the facility, great overall explanation of what to expect while working out, and seamless approach to questions on contract choices and payment.

The facility was well stocked, clean, surprisingly quiet. Good feel for entering the facility for the first time. Looking forward to getting a strong start!

Good membership rates in the atmosphere great. There are many free weights to use as well and it looks like they have enjoyable classes. However general maintenance of the facilities need attention. Lots of the lockers don’t lock and often times many of the very popular weight machines and other machines are broken.

Shout out to the classes and instructors at Crunch! I love these group fitness classes - they pack strength, agility, cardio, core - all into 45 minutes. No waiting for machine's to open up, instant comradery/accountability, and the right amount of peer pressure to not take a rep off. If you haven't tried one, give it a go.

I’ve been at this crunch since 2023 whenever I am in the US and genuinely saying this gym is great.
- they have gargantuan space so you can’t feel overcrowded even during peak hours
- the team is super friendly and helpful.
- the gym has more than enough equipment (I’d add perhaps 1 butterfly machine more to make it perfect)
- they do have sauna room
- their playlists are always great, made out of motivational songs
- they do have water fountain so even if you ran out of water you won’t be thirsty
- Suitable open hours for everyone
- Big and well equipped stretching/yoga room
- One of my favorite- massage room where you can try out hydromassage or massage-chairs
Thx Crunch!

I really have come to love this gym! There’s a great amount of equipment and even during peak hours, it never feels impossible to get a good workout in. The only feedback I would provide are:

It would be great to have some key hooks or mini lockers for members to leave their keys instead of having to walk all the way back to the locker room.

One of the sinks in the men’s bathroom works but you need to hold it down otherwise it immediately turns off. Simple fix but annoying nonetheless.

Some of the cardio machines feel outdated and I’ve had issues with machines being broken and unable to use.

Aside from these, Crunch continues to be the best bang for your buck and with the new Starbucks coming to the plaza, an easy reason to keep coming back!

Great Gym! However, I was there today, on the 4th of July, in the HIIT Area, doing cardio. I checked the schedule, and there was no class scheduled to be held in that space, nor did I receive an alert indicating that a class would be taking place. Well, while working out, this lady walks over screaming, saying, "Get out if you're not a part of this class. It was very alarming and unnecessary to yell like that. And when we didn't move fast enough, she kept shouting.

I don't appreciate planning my workout session according to the gym's schedule only to have it canceled because some angry lady wants to have a class that wasn't on the schedule. And I definitely don't appreciate being yelled at; there is a better way to do this. This is not the first time, either; other female instructors have behaved this way, becoming very possessive of that HIIT area, as if it were theirs. Those sessions should be held in another location because most of the cardio equipment is housed there, and when a class is in session, there is no access to the needed equipment. Something needs to be done about this, and some of those class instructors need to learn how to be more polite.

As a long term gym goer since my time in the Marines and living like a gypsy afterwards the gym has always been my Iron church. I've gone to many different clubs throughout from la fitness' to Lifetime fitness clubs where you pay more for a better atmosphere. Taylors Crunch is easily on par with any high dollar Lifetime franchise through their dedication to provide a very clean workout floor, there are always staff sweeping, cleaning equipment and bathrooms, and providing ample cleaning stations fully stocked with paper towels and hygiene bottles. Their customer service are top tier, very kind and always respectful along with their training staff always seem very approachable and humble. There's every type of fitness style one can engage in spread evenly throughout the floor and it's not all mixed together which I find aggravating in some clubs but has good Feng shue if that's a term.

Even the members by and large seem very friendly and not all egotistical like some gyms promote and they really stand by their ethos of No Judgement and being an oddball myself I feel right at home. Whoever is the GM of this club he or she is doing a phenomenal job and it shows.

My only complaint which is more geared at corporate I assume is that I'm not a fan of being in someones filming while lifting and wish corporate could make new directives about people filming on tripods like they are on a film set for who knows what social media platform, God forbid one used for other purposes...

Thanks and please keep up the amazing work!
15 out of 10 stars you guys and gals.

I have been a loyal member of Crunch since its opening and have consistently enjoyed the experience. The gym offers an impressive selection of equipment and the vibrant atmosphere makes it a welcoming place to train. Many of my friends also frequent this gym, which adds to the positive environment.

However, I was recently surprised to discover that my social media account has been blocked by the gym’s official Instagram. As a dedicated patron, I’ve always strived to support the gym by sharing positive posts and stories on social media, recommending it to friends and family, and making regular purchases. I maintain a respectful and professional demeanor during my visits and have never caused any issues.

I find it perplexing that a business would choose to block a supportive, paying customer on their social media platforms.

While I’m not upset, I am genuinely confused by this decision and would appreciate clarity. I believe fostering positive relationships with members is essential for any community-focused business.. Not blocking them for seemingly no reason.

Overall, I continue to value the gym’s facilities and community but hope for improved engagement with members moving forward.

This is a 5 star facility, and I will update my review when I receive clarity on this, and will share my experience which I assume will be positive. Or maybe their social media person doesn't like me!

I would have given this gym 4 other 5 stars. But aside from the air conditioning there are two big issues. the men's sauna has been down for like 5 weeks. In the year of 2024 it does not take that long to fix a sauna especially and electric one. unacceptable. Secondly, when they remodeled this place. you would think they would have invested in a new water fountain because although it is a massive gym they didn't have the foresight to install a second station and as such the current station is constantly on the fritz (think mcdonalds icecream machine) and the water is warm half the time. This has been ongoing since this place opened last winter. I'm contemplating going back to Golds.

Updating December 2024 and Water fountain is broke for a least the 5th time this year. Just replace it already. Just a mess!

Updating Memorial Day weekend 2025. So the air conditioning is now fixed after over a year. Sadly the men's restroom is constantly dirty with grime and dirt everywhere. I feel like they don't clean it but once a week..it's been ongoing for a couple months for sure. The other crunches around town seem a little better operated.

I love crunch Taylor’s, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. The gym is kept up very well. The equipment is nice and clean and the atmosphere is great. There’s a diverse group of ages that go to crunch which is refreshing in my opinion. I typically like going early mornings or right before school lets out. Their childcare is also an added bonus and offers plenty of entertainment for littles while parents get in their workout. I have went in the evenings through the week and though it’s busier, it’s never been a situation that I was unable to complete my workout quickly.

All the trainers are super friendly and I like that you have lots of options with crunch to do group classes or one on one personal training. If you have not checked out crunch Taylors, I strongly recommend you do.

I’ve been going to crunch fitness Taylor’s for over a year now. For the price of memberships, you get a LOT of equipment and various amenities. I like the equipment, squat racks, people that go there, and above all, the staff. Every staff member there is kind and helpful. Phenomenal customer service. For a few months I was having billing issues (ABC’s fault not this specific gyms billing error) and they were able to go above and beyond getting it corrected for me.

The only complaints I have:
- The bathroom/locker room is kept clean, most of the time. Another toilet stall would be best. The benches in between the lockers need to be tightened down more as they wobble a good bit.
-Occasionally, MULTIPLE of the paper towel dispensers will be out.
-At peak times the parking lot is a nightmare (again not their fault)
-This gym needs 2-3 chest fly/rear delt machines (they only have one)

It's a good gym, I like the personal training, classes, equipment and amenities. The staff is also really nice. BUT, there is no air conditioning. I have heat sensitivity so I'm afraid if this is still ongoing by summer, I will have to join a different gym. Please look into fixing this.

Edit: Still no air conditioning, it's been broken since July when it was still Pivotal. Fixing it doesn't seem to be a priority so be aware if considering signing up. I feel really bad for the employees who have to be here all day.

Edit 2: Still no working AC. It broke last year in July, there's no excuse for it to still be broken in May other than greed. Ya'll need to do something before an employee or member has a heat stroke. I have now downgraded my review to 2 stars for this reason. This is a liability waiting to happen.

Edit 3: Almost June and still no air. I've quit going and will most likely cancel my membership. I'm over it at this point.

Edit 4: I've requested to cancel my membership. Treating employees and members like this isn't okay. Whoever owns this place needs to sell it to someone who can afford to maintain it. Waste of a great gym. I also don't appreciate the blatant lie in the response from the owner. I was a Pivotal member and know employees, I know that AC broke before Crunch took over.

Edit 5: Apparently the air is fixed and the gym is under new ownership which is amazing news.

For the most part I love this location. I have two issues though. First, I use the showers most mornings after my workout and it seems like they never get cleaned. There’s mold on the surfaces and the shower curtains. And the locker rooms floors in general look like they don’t get swept/mopped. My second issue is that the sauna could use some work. The door isn’t sealed so the sauna never reaches the temp it’s supposed to and you can feel the draft coming in from the door.

Overall, it’s a great location and the staff are always friendly. I know it’s a busy place so cleanliness isn’t always what it should be, but the locker rooms at least could use a little more cleaning.

I’m adding one star today, but if I could, I would put zero which is not normal because I love this gym and mostly everybody is super friendly but last night I experienced something that should have never happened from an employee at crunch Her name is Heidi she is super rude her and her friends were at the front desk talking about me right in front of me. I could hear the whole conversation so what happened was I am a member at crunch have been for almost a year for over a year. I went in with my daughter, I had to use the restroom so I ran to the restroom and my daughter tried to get a spray tan which we have always been able to. they’ve always let us. I’ve never said anything well she was super rude to my daughter. Was like you need a membership blah blah, which is fine that’s fine. I got it. I probably should’ve gotten her one anyways, but and I didn’t say nothing but then I came out of the restroom and I signed the paper so I could go get a spray tan and she was like I told them no to the gentleman that was at the front desk and her friend goes you told them no who does that that’s so ghetto like right in front of me, I could hear the whole conversation so then I confronted them and they said that they weren’t talking about me. They were talking about the Greenville location so I just felt like it was super inappropriate for an employee at crunch to talk to other members about a member in front of them so I will be doing anything I can even though this is the closest one to my house. I will be going somewhere else by the way, Heidi and your friends I have ears. I heard the whole conversation so you can say whatever you want that you were not talking about me but I can tell you Word for Word the conversation I was literally 2 feet from you.

I loved going to this gym BUT I will have to reconsider due to the lack of effort from the team to better the experience for customers. I asked a front desk associate if there could be signs put up to re-rack weights but he told me management thought there were too many signs up already. When looking around, they are all promo signs! Its unfortunate that they care more about making sales than teaching gym ettiquete. I’m a petite girl so having to take off all these 45lb weights on every machine I go to is affecting my fitness experience. Consistently every day as early as 5am there are weights left all over the machines. PLEASE start to promote gym ettiquete over a quick buck.

I honestly love everything from the various classes to the sauna/red light therapy. Most of all, I love the instructors and their passion for everyone to succeed! Lenny and Bonnie are two of the best. The have the best classes along with equally great music! Undoubtably all the trainers are wonderful! I have wanted Crunch to come our way forever and thankfully they did!

Crunch has improved all equipment (since it was prior company). New equipment. Spacious. Air conditioning issues have been fixed. I have worked with a personal trainer , Karen L. , for over a year now. She is outstanding. Willing to work with my specific goals and develops custom workouts for every session. She has provided workouts for travel and has routinely researched ideas and workouts to address problem/inflammation areas. She is a great trainer!

This gym is great! The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The instructors for the classes are positive and encouraging as well as the training staff. Overall, the staff at the gym fosters an energetic and supportive atmosphere! The facility is always clean and the equipment is serviced in a timely manner if out of order. Also, their air conditioning is back up and working!! Yes, it can get crowded and busy, but I believe that comes with the population density and their location. I recommend this gym if you’re thinking of starting up at one for the first time or for a switch!

- 20+ TVs in the building and at any given time only 1 or 2 are actually on.
- Only a year old and already lots of equipment down and pad/covers torn.
- Maintenance never really completed. Still exposed wires, unfinished areas, things not working. Doesnt seem like any maintenance or upkeep has been done since opening.
- Super crowded and bad parking but thats not that fault.

One of my favorite parts has been the classes that come along with my membership. Each teacher is extremely passionate about helping you reach your personal goals. They keep class fun but still challenge you to do your best, and there are so many different types of classes! The Second has been the personal training. I have had two personal trainers Addison and Lenny. They've both helped and taught me so much! Couldn't recommend Crunch in Taylors enough! Thank you all for eveything you do!

We have been very pleased with Crunch Fitness, especially the Taylors facility. We also train with Karen Lockwood who is phenomenal. She pays attention to both our goals and our limitations and designs workouts that are fun (well - mostly fun LOL) and challenging. We've been with her for a little over a year and are seeing the results we need to see for people over 60: blood pressure, blood sugar, body mass and balance.
The staff works hard to maintain the equipment and when something is broken they try to get it fixed in a timely manner. The gym and locker rooms are clean and well lit. If paper towels or disinfectant is running low, they are quick to replenish it when it's brought to their attention.

This place is a joke. I tried it out for 6 months last year and finally quit since they never fixed the AC and it was not safe to bring my kids to the play area. Even from the beginning this place didn’t feel clean and the staff barely knew anything…. Always giving round about answers to when the AC was going to be fixed or what the problem is. I’ve heard they have fixed it now but I don’t care to find out if that’s true or not. Way over crowded unless you go early in the am. And now, I’ve just realized— silly me—but they’ve been continuing to charge me the monthly fee after my confirmed cancellation. What a scam! I’m much happier now at Planet Fitness. It’s clean, not over crowded, and has tons of AC and fans. They recently renovated and it has everything I need for a good workout!

My husband and I have been members with Crunch since day 1 that they opened. I can tell it’s gone downhill since they opened. The tanning beds have one lay down that the plastic is broken rite below the facial bulbs and there are several beds in there that have had bulbs out for a very long time. When is this going to get replaced? People pay good money to come to y’all’s gym, so can we please get some new bulbs. The people that work there are all super nice and if you mention it to them, they say we hear this all the time. So the best thing to do is write a review! Thank you!

I am super disappointed about the equipment at Crunch Taylors being broken ALL the time. Every week there are at least 4 treadmills broken and it takes awhile to get them fixed only for them to break a few days later again and we start the process over. Crunch keeps offering deals for new members and having open houses yet the equipment isn’t working for current members. The door in the women’s sauna is a joke as well. It does not close and lets air out on all sides. This has been complained about many times by many members and nothing has been done to fix it either. If we are paying for a membership we expect to have working machines and and a sauna that actually works.

Still sitting in the parking lot after trying to have tour. Guy at the front desk ignored me when I was standing at the front desk. He looked at me and continued to laugh it up with a couple of guys. He the. Then proceed to tell me he was alone, couldn’t take me on a tour, told me to tour myself and when I was done and walking out. I saw/heard him gossiping and joking around with 2 members while still ignoring me.

Well, let me tell you about my recent escapade at CRUNCH FITNESS in Taylors, SC, folks! Now, as a classic American dad, I walked in there with my trusty gym bag, some old sneakers that have seen better days, and a heart full of determination—just like the time I decided to fix the leaky faucet and ended up flooding the garage!

First off, the place is as bright and welcoming as a fresh batch of cookies coming out of the oven (and let me tell you, I know cookies!). The staff? They greeted me like I was the long-lost cousin who just returned from a trip to the Grand Canyon! I almost expected them to throw a welcome parade. They were friendly, helpful, and ready to guide me through this fitness journey—just like GPS, but without the annoying voice telling me to make a U-turn!

Now, the equipment! Oh boy, it’s like a playground for grown-ups. I’m talking weights, cardio machines, and even a smoothie bar that could make a blender blush! I hopped on one of those treadmills like a toddler on a sugar high, and let me tell you, I felt like I was running from my responsibilities—just kidding! I was actually running towards a healthier me (and maybe a slice of pizza later).

And the classes? Oh, they’ve got everything! From yoga that’ll stretch you like a rubber band to high-intensity workouts that make you feel like a superhero—minus the spandex, of course! I tried a Zumba class and let’s just say, I might have two left feet and a case of the giggles. But hey, if you can’t laugh at yourself, what’s the point?

The best part? The atmosphere! It’s as motivating as a motivational poster featuring a cat hanging from a branch with “Hang in there!” written underneath. Everyone’s cheering each other on, which is just like my kids cheering me on when I attempt to catch a fly ball in the backyard—bless their hearts!

CRUNCH FITNESS in Taylors is the place to be if you want to get fit, have fun, and maybe embarrass yourself a little—just like a dad should! So grab your water bottle and get ready to crunch those goals!

Pros:
Can be affordable for tight budgets, a lot of up to date equipment, different types of equipment, power 1/2 hour section, AC will be working soon, more parking than other locations but still hard to find a spot sometimes, red light therapy and sauna are welcome surprises for a chain gym.

Cons:
1 water fountain station for the entire gym (2 fountains), 1 of 2 water fountains and water bottle refill machine are broken, paper towel dispensers for wiping down equipment are only on one side of the columns so it’s hard to access some of them because they are very close to a machine or they run out quickly, only 2 urinals and 2 stalls for men in a giant gym, several pads on equipment are cracked or falling apart, hard to do power 1/2 hour section in order or have to wait on machines since many people use them like any other machine so it takes much longer than 1/2 hour, $9.99/month is actually $11.99/month after “taxes” but it’s not listed on the website anywhere, not open 24 hours anymore.

Recommendations:
Add another water fountain station, add another paper towel dispenser on the other side of columns so it’s easier to access when nearby equipment is in use, replace worn down pads on equipment, isolate power 1/2 hour machines instead of put them right in the middle of the gym next to all the other machines or section them off better, be up front and put the yearly fees and monthly processing fees on the website so people can make informed decisions.

Edit: water fountain and water bottle refill station are fixed. 3–>4 stars.

Also, there’s only 1 abduction/adduction machine and it’s pretty popular. Could you look into getting another?

Been going here for well over a year now. Used to love it, open 24 hours so it can easily accommodate my schedule, the place was less crowded at night, cooler temp because of the broken a/c and less people heating the place up, more access to the amenities which they already have very few of. But with the change of hours i believe I’ll be cutting ties with crunch. A lot of promises but no fulfillment to match it. New owners talk about low profitability being the reason for cutting hours but apparently don't see that the hours were the selling point for a lot of people. Losing patrons business isn’t profitable either.

An upgrade from the old Pivotal, sort of?

This is a completely remodeled gym after a buy out. It has it's pros, with some issues.

Pros:
It's cheap. As a result they have a much larger member base than pivotal did.

All the equipment is new. There is a pretty good variety of everything and I appreciate the amount of power racks and platforms they put in.

They have a huge dumbbell rack, big enough that there usually isn't a lack of a certain weight for everyone. It goes from I believe 5 lbs to 120 lbs.

They have some other amenities as well, massage chair, tanning, child care, etc.

Cons:
The AC was non functional for roughly the entire first year. The AC had broken last summer when this was still Pivotal, and was supposedly fixed, but apparently not. It was finally fixed around Thanksgiving of 2024.

It can get really crowded during peak hours between ~4 to 8 PM on a weekday. To the point that if you have a specific workout in mind you may have to wait for equipment. Not as bad as the Pleasantburg location at least though as this space is much larger.

There could be more treadmills. They're usually almost all being used, and there is typically two or three that don't work at any given moment, for whatever reason. Also, despite everything being new some things are broken already. Thankfully, they seem to be pretty quick to repair things. There is also some other minorly odd equipment selections but not a huge deal ( could really use another chest fly/rear delt, and a third leg extension/curl).
There is about a ~40 yard piece of turf, which is good in theory, but mostly just gets used for people to lay and stretch on, and would have probably been better served as more equipment, or at least half the size. There is a full second turf strip in the "HIIT zone" that can be used when group classes aren't being held as well.

The men's locker room needs work. They didn't replace any of the old lockers, and a lot of them are broken. Some of them have either been removed, the door broken off, or ripped off, or a combination of the above. (These have now been fixed).
There is also sometimes no hot water in the showers.

I can't speak to the personal training, classes, or other amenities as I don't personally use them.
I'd give it a 3.5 if it would allow, fix the AC and I'd say it's a 4, just a bit too crowded during peak times.

Edit: currently 83 outside today, 82 in the gym. 👎👎

Edit #2: Still no AC. They've installed a bunch of large fans on the wall which help a little but it's still super hot in the gym.

6/25/24 update. AC still doesn't work. It's currently 85 in the gym (and feels like it) according to the thermometer on the wall. Ambient temp outside is 93 currently.
I like the gym but knocking another star off just for how ridiculously hot it is in here.

7/10/24 update:
They released a statement on social media about their lack of AC indicating it would be 12-15 weeks before it's fixed (conveniently will be fall by then?).
They have installed about 5 or 6 portable AC units throughout the gym, which has helped a little, but it's still pretty toasty in here. 78 degrees at 7-8 am this morning. Helpful, but still not the same as central AC.
They also fixed most of the lockers in the men's locker room, so at least they're listening to member feedback.

9/12/24 update:
Still no AC. I'm still going as it's super close to my house, but it's still pretty warm in the afternoons.
I don't believe they have any real plans on fixing the AC this year.

9/30/24 update:
AC still doesn't work. Also received an email that they were raising membership price by $7 a month starting on 11/1. Downgrading to 1 star.

12/10/24 update:
After nearly a year since opening, they finally replaced the HVAC unit. Given that it is winter, I can't speak on how warm it will be in here on a 90+ degree day. Hopefully better. Bumping back to 3 stars.

We were visiting my mother in law for Thanksgiving and Crunch fitness was the closest to her place. My husband and I walked in and asked if we could workout for the next few days when we are in town. We were greeted by Mr. John Guzman who was so polite and helpful. He simply offered us free try outs since it’s only for a couple of days. So the five stars is mostly for Mr. Guzman. We appreciate his kindness and professionalism especially he didn’t try to sell or pressure us to join at all! If you're looking to work out in a super warm and humid environment, this location is it. Promises of the HVAC being fixed have gone on for over a year, close to 2. The a/c has been broken since it was pivotal fitness and still not functioning as crunch. On top of that, the teens at the nearby high school have made this gym their hangout and hook-up spot. Do your research and check out your options before you make a final decision on crunch. Other crunch locations may be better.

I tried Crunch for the first time last summer and was all around pleased with the offering. I travel for work and sample gyms all over the US. The A/C was out but they placed temp units all around the gym which was fine; a little stuffy at times but tolerable. (admittedly I was working out in the middle of the night so it might have been awful in the day) All the equipment at this location is new and if you love the step mill like me they do have the newer Stairmaster that IMHO are better than the Matrix brand. The facilities were clean and well maintained with a great sauna. The showers are huge and the locker room was spacious except for counter space. The staff was always accommodating and friendly. The big standout for this location was the deep tissue massage chairs. 30 minutes in the chair after a workout was phenomenal. Of course they don't replace an actual therapist but I can say that just for improved circulation at muscle tissue alone they are very beneficial. After visiting a few of the their other locations I was disappointed to not find these wonderful machines but all in all my experience was consistent.

I say all that to say that Crunch Fitness loss air conditioning, but maintain the open gym hours and improvised with air blower fans (the fans were terrible), but it made me realize how nice it was to work out in a heated environment and I genuinely believe the environment aided me in reaching my target ❤️ rate a lot quicker so much that I truly enjoyed today's gym experience so much that I wouldn't mind if one day a week the air wasn't functioning normally. This is also ther largest church fitness I've ever been inside of and the hours are excellent. Crunch fitness-Taylors thank you from my ❤️

The gym air conditioning is broken and its REALLY hot in there at the Taylors location. The staff member said they did not know when or if it would be fixed. If you don't care to fix these things for customers, its just not the right gym for me. It was not very clean looking either. Very disappointed.
