I’m not someone who finds it easy to motivate to exercise, but since beginning my training journey with Mitch at Just You Fitness, I am realizing that I was really just more daunted by typical gyms and not knowing the best exercises to help myself with my specific strengthening needs. Now, I have someone to help, hold me accountable, and have someone who is helping me target the areas of strengthening my body most needs. Mitch is professional and is a warm personality who also uses our allotted time well each training session. I am gaining confidence and strength and am so appreciative of the “just me” environment that is making exercising more comfortable for the first time!

I love training privately without prying eyes. I don't care for gym culture, and am more comfortable one on one.
My trainer, Julie, is personable, good humored, and helps me stay on target with my fitness goals. It's nice having someone provide some structure to my workout routine.
I enjoy the privacy of the workouts, and I'm seeing gains at work and around the house after only one month.
Honestly, I just needed a huge shot in arm to get it moving again, and Just You Fitness is a huge reason for how well things are going now. Highly recommend!

I've only been training at Just You Fitness for a few weeks, but I've already noticed drastic changes in my level of fitness. We LOVE Just You Fitness! Our trainer is Tara and she’s amazing. My boyfriend and I do 2 30 minute sessions a week it’s crazy how much muscle we have built in just a month and a half. She’s so efficient and we get the most out of every session! She pushes us, but also is very keen to any injuries or mods that we may have needed especially in the beginning. Every studio we’ve worked out in is clean and there’s so much equipment. We couldn’t recommend the program enough!

After too many years without exercise and a trainer, I found Just You Fitness, actually with the help of my former trainer who looked at the websites of trainers in my area and immediately recommended Just You Fitness. He was so wise and so right! I am delighted with what Just You Fitness is doing for me. I am 73 and wanted to regain the strength I had lost by not working out. I "interviewed" with the company and was assigned a fantastic trainer, Amber. I am happy to warm up myself, so I have a 30 minute session with her. She makes me work SO hard, and she believes in my and my desire and ability to regain strength. And she won't let me "get away" with anything. Each client and trainer work in their own gyms, there are four, and while I thought I would miss the goings on in a full gym, I don't at all. Amber is totally focused on me and I on what she is working to get me to accomplish. If and when I am ready, I can move to an hour of solid work -- not warming up, real work. I cannot recommend Just You Fitness enough. No matter what your goals might be, I am confident there is a trainer at Just You that is JUST RIGHT for you. I feel so blessed. Susie

The private workout space is always clean and fully equipped with everything needed for a challenging, effective session. Mitch Muller, my trainer, is phenomenal. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, creative, and always finds ways to push me using the equipment in fresh and challenging ways. He’s meticulous about form and technique, which gives me confidence knowing I’m building strength safely.
My strength has noticeably increased, and I’m lifting progressively heavier weights each week. Mitch’s reliability and preparation are unmatched—he’s always ready to go before our session starts with a full routine planned out getting the most out of each workout session.

As a 50+ yo gal, I’m going to need a different type of personal training. I requested an individual that understands what I’m capable of doing and how my body is transforming during perimenopause. Daniel has been the most amazing fit. Adjust, pivot and success. That’s been the last 8 weeks of my exercise program. He’s one step ahead of my thinking process. He is efficient, thorough and I trust that the process is safe and realistic for my body. Thirty minutes with Daniel, two - three times a week has changed my thought process on eating, nutrition, time management, energy, sleep and the necessity for movement when I’m not training. To be honest, when I first contacted JP and Just You Fitness I was a bit hesitant, as my past experiences with "personal trainers" had been pretty hit-or-miss.
I’d found that often times they were more concerned with their goals for your training than your goals for your training… were rarely in tune with (or even aware of) any athletic pursuits outside the world of weight-lighting/body-building… and measured progress by a set of metrics that didn’t really apply to the average person. What’s more, I’d never really enjoyed “working out” all that much – especially not compared to playing some of the sports I was involved in.
But I’d been telling myself for months (or maybe even years) that I needed to build more lean muscle to improve athletic performance – and due to a series of nagging sports injuries and lack of exercise I’d gotten completely out of shape.
So I Googled “personal training James Island” and much to my surprise found that Just You Fitness was just a few blocks from my house. I reached out via their website and JP got back to me right away with a genuinely friendly and upbeat offer to come in for a free session.
From the get-go, it was clear that JP was completely client-focused and an athlete himself, which was a huge relief. He was also not only willing to patiently listen to my long list of limitations due to injury, but actively questioned me about how my body was feeling and what I wanted to achieve so that he could ensure our workouts would result only in progress – and not further injuries.
Nine months in, I truly look forward to my three sessions a week with JP. Not only has my work with him tremendously improved my athletic performance, but it’s also helped me to overcome injuries that I feared might never truly go away. And from the comments/compliments I’ve been getting it’s obvious that the positive results of our time together aren't just apparent to me.
I couldn’t be happier that I ultimately decided to take action – and feel incredibly lucky to have found JP. I consider him not just my trainer, but also a good friend and trusted wellness advisor.

I had always been small and skinny and never worried much about diet or exercise. When I hit 40, something happened and my sedentary lifestyle started to catch up with me. Amped changed name to JUST YOU FITNESS. My girlfriend and I have been going for a year. Basically JP (the trainer) does what is right for you. Price is reasonable. Schedule is flexible and helpful. He pushes you, without hurting you. Was on the fast track to sitting too much for the desk job, but now am much more healthy with my body because of JUST YOU workouts. Once you have been going a few months you will notice that your body heals faster from any injuries. Plus you will be much stronger. There are not enough words to describe how much Amped Fitness has changed my life. I struggled with weight loss my whole life, and tipped the scales at my max at 366 pounds. When I hooked up with Amped Fitness I started at 350 pounds and was slowly eating myself to an early grave or diabetes.

Back in the fall of 2012, I noticed that I had gained a little extra weight in the wrong places and began to feel bad about my body. I had tried the whole "going to the gym" thing in the past and, I'll be honest, it didn't work because I had no motivation to get up, get dressed, and drag myself to a place where I wasn't familiar with anyone or any of the equipment. I am 5'2" at 100 lbs., and wanted desperately to be more toned and strong without losing any significant weight. I found JP on the internet, and gave him a call. He responded incredibly promptly and really listened to me when I talked about what I wanted to do. I scheduled a free session just to try it out and, although it was hard and I was out of breath by the end, I actually felt good about myself. And I was hooked.
JP is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to training and the body, and is honest with you. If your technique is off, he tells you. If he thinks you can handle more weight, he pushes you (without being overbearing). He knows when you need to hear that you're doing a good job. On top of being a good motivator, he's hilarious and reiterates that you're both real people with real goals, but also with real lives and schedules and personalities. He is professional, but makes you feel comfortable.
In the past six months, I have seen a significant change in my body. My legs are leaner (I finally have that little gap in between my thighs that I know a lot of women crave). My biceps, triceps, and back are toned without being "jacked' looking. I actually feel, and am, stronger. I even sleep better and have more energy than if I just sat around my house all day.
If nothing else, JP has been an amazing person to work with in attaining a personal goal. His workouts are targeted, specific, and challenging. But they are, without a doubt, completely worth it.

I love Amped Fitness! I started training with JP in September of 2012 and am now in my second 3 month plan. Major weight loss wasn't my goal, as I was around my healthy weight, but that doesn't mean I was in shape or happy about how I felt. After moving to Charleston a year ago and giving in to the temptations of Southern cooking, my healthy San Francisco lifestyle of running and eating consciously was pushed to the wayside. Although I started running again, I felt something was missing. I wanted to be stronger, more defined, and more motivated. I wanted this to become part of my life and not just a short term goal to "look good".
My work with JP has been truly transformational inside and out and I look forward to every session. He is extremely knowledgeable, open, and honest about what needs to be done for you to achieve your goals. The work isn't easy (what an understatement) and I often drop an "F" bomb when I'm on my second set of Bulgarian lunges, but like JP says "If it were easy, everyone would be doing it". He is a great motivator and always a text away if I ever have a question or need a little support.
My biggest reward, besides the killer definition in my arms and legs, is that I am so much stronger physically and mentally. Challenges are accepted, not excusable. There is no more "I couldn't do that", now I think "Heck yeah I can do that!". It doesn't mean I can do it right away, but I have that training mentality now. I have patience with myself that I never did. (When I first started doing kettle bell swings, I hated them! They were SO hard. Now, they're still difficult, but my body and my brain sync up and get the job done and it feels amazing!) My running has improved tremendously and I am planning on running 3 races within the next four months.
Like I said, this isn't easy work, but if you're determined to look and feel your best, there is no one I'd recommend more than JP to get you on that track. He is a genuine soul that just wants everyone to be their very best self.
Just to throw some before/after stats out there: I am 5'0" and started in at 116 with 23% body fat. I am now around 113-115 with 19% body fat. I train for 30 minutes, 3 times a week at high intensity and run around 15-25 miles a week (and that is increasing).

When I started at Amped Fitness I had been working out on my own for about 6 months and dropped from 335lbs. to 290lbs. I was doing well by myself until I hit a wall and no matter what I did the weight would not come off. So I did something I never thought I would do and called up JP and started personal training, little did I know it would be a changing point in my life. JP has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to training and will keep you motivated as much as he possibly can to get you where you want to be. I trained for 9 months and got down to 219lbs added a substantial amount of muscle mass got in shape and felt 1000% better than I ever had before. If you stick with it and grind it out, because it does get hard and it should be you will meet your goals and exceed them with Amped Fitness.
