I have been working out/training with Nick from the Lift Lab for just over 2 months now, and I’m loving it. I’m definitely seeing the results which is great. He changes up my workouts every week and that helps to keep things interesting. He also makes my workouts individualized to my limitations while pushing me to do more than a I would on my own.

Been training with Nick for a little over a year now and I have no complaints. He’s improved my strength and stamina and I physically see the results. I don't live in the gym but I exercise regularly and Nick provides a good balance of motivation while realistically tempering expectations. Scheduling has never been a problem, plenty of flexibility in that regard. Cant recommend enough!

Nick has been a great personal trainer! He takes the time to get to know you and to create a tailor-made exercise routine. I have experienced several past injuries to major joints and Nick designed work outs to avoid any undue stress on those joints. When it hurt, Nick changed it up to address the issue. Nick was absolutely incredible to work with. He was very personal in the way that he sat me down to discuss my goals, and worked with me to build a workout routine and diet plan that best aligned with my goals.

He kept me consistent and on top of things, which was something I knew I’d struggle with coming in. With the weekly personalized video, you get insight and feedback into your lifting and nutrition from that week, which was extremely helpful in knowing what you’re doing right/wrong, and what to adjust moving forward.

My experience with Nick has been absolutely amazing! Before I started with Nick, I had never been able to do “guy push-ups” in spite of working out regularly on my own for five years. He helped me reach that goal in 3 months! Getting a personal trainer is definitely a game changer even if you have the discipline to get yourself to the gym.

Though I definitely would not consider myself an expert in physical fitness, my time in physical therapy for several sports injuries imparted to me some knowledge of the human body. You can even find all kinds of circuits & challenges online, but nothing can replace the personal touch that a personal trainer can give.

If you’re looking to “level up” your fitness game, Nick will definitely help you get there!

A little note for the ladies... I was a little weirded out about going to his studio. No need to worry! Nick is very professional!

Nick is awesome and I can't recommend him enough. He kept me accountable, personalized my workouts to accommodate any injuries, was flexible with my changing work schedule, and most importantly was EFFECTIVE. In the ~5 months I trained with Nick, he helped me optimize my diet and strength training such that I got to enjoy having my dream body and the healthiest I ever felt on my wedding day- an investment that was 1000% worth it. Nick is also just a friendly, chill guy so I never felt judged or pressured during our training sessions. He was very professional while still super personable. As for the equipment: always clean and well-maintained, and I was most impressed with how Nick always had a tool available to accommodate for bad form or weaknesses (exp he was ready with squat wedges the moment he noticed my ankle instability with squats).

Nick got me in the best shape I’ve been in since playing college football. I’m a naturally bigger guy and put on a lot of extra weight during Covid. I was feeling and looking about as bad as I ever had before doing this and after three months of dieting with Nick, as well as using many of the very effective exercises that he regularly posts on social media, I’m down almost 20 pounds, and more importantly, I look and feel much better. Nick has been my fitness and nutrition trainer for 6 months and I’ve lost 38 pounds! I’m only about 15 pounds away from my goal weight and I know I will make it with the skills he taught me and the support he has given me. When I first started, I truly doubted that I would have any success losing weight… but I have consistently been losing weight since I started. This is the first plan that I’ve ever been able to stick with and the only thing that has ever worked for me. His plan is very easy and doable and he is a very flexible and kind trainer! I have trained with no less than 6 trainers in the last few years and a dedicated, focused, and professional PT is a rarity. Many trainers tend to be gimmicky and simply unprofessional, in my experience.

When I first moved to NYC my workout schedule was a mess and the programs I was pursuing were not yielding any noticeable results. I met Nick and set specific goals and he created a fun, yet challenging program. Nick’s workouts are well thought, challenging and dynamic. He tries to raise the bar on a weekly basis and that has yielded great results. Over the last couple of months, we’ve been doing variations but always keeping it interesting and challenging. I have seen results in my condition, posture, and physical capacity. I’ve also received comments from friends and colleagues who have noticed the results. I am extremely happy with my choice and I continue to work with Nick.

Nick was also great at helping me improve my technique. There were certain basic exercises, like squats or bench press, which I had been doing wrong for years. With Nick’s help I was able to change that and start adding more weight / reps with less risk of injuries to my workouts.

Last but not least, Nick’s great and quick at answering any questions you may have. He is very keen about using technology to deliver the workouts and the platform he uses is simple and easy to use.

I had not really been exercising for over a year when I started with Nick. But Nick knew how to start slowly and then build each week. I feel stronger now and am excited to work out. He knows when to push hard but with his knowledge of the kinesiology of the body he knows when not to over stress your body in a way that would be detrimental. Following a friends New year's Eve wedding (picture on the left) I knew I wanted to change my health habits so I felt better about my own wedding pictures. Shortly after I called Nick and set up a 10 week (10 session) package. Unlike many other trainers in the area - Nick's training includes programmed sessions (for days that you don't have in person trainings) in an app that also tracks your progress. I would train with Nick one morning a week and would do the other exercises on my own time which worked great with my schedule. Nick is the best trainer I've worked with - he is extremely knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition and cares about your goals and helps you to achieve them. He is friendly during sessions but also pushes you just the right amount so that you continue to improve over time. The app he uses is easy to use and will help you to become very comfortable with weights in the gym (especially if you're like me and historically have gone straight to the treadmill). I ultimately expanded my initial 10 week package and trained with Nick for more than 6 months leading up to my wedding and couldn't have been happier with the results (picture on the right)! I lost 15 pounds and more importantly I feel stronger, happier, and healthier because of Nick's guidance. I've also completely changed my lifestyle and plan to continue training with Nick going forward. If you're looking to make a change in your health habits I highly recommend reaching out to Nick!

I’ve been training with Nick for over 2 years now, I’d always avoided trainers in the past (because I found them to be overly pushy in terms of signing up for sessions) however Nick really sets himself apart from the rest - he has a genuine passion for what he does and wants to see his clients achieve their goals. I had always been a cardio junky and so Nick has transformed my approach to fitness, as a result I feel much stronger, healthier and in all-round better shape.

In addition to the sessions - which push me harder than I would on my own, Nick also provides sets for me to complete on my own which compliment the overall program.

He also has expert nutition knowledge, and great ideas to improve my diet - no fads just solid advice! Start following Nick online (Instagram etc) to tune into his ‘One Minute Monday’ videos as a starting point, but for anyone who wants to take their fitness to the next level I couldn’t recommend training with Nick enough.
