This one of the few 24 hours gym in the Summerville area, the equipments are a little old, but in good working condition. The gym is very clean and there's always paper towels and spray to wipe down the equipment. I have access to several gyms in the area such as Crunch, planet fitness, etc, but pivotal is my favorite one because is not crowded. If anyone is looking to hit the gym early in the morning or late at night go to this location.

It is horrible to cancel the service. I was not feeling comfortable and decided to leave two months ago. I let them know, but they always sent me an email telling me that the request will take 5 to 7 working days to respond.
The membership sir is never there to talk to him. I have been in person for a week now. They do not let me leave and I am getting charged 150 dollars more plus monthly membership to me it seems to be a fraud.

Absolutely horrendous cancellation policy, they've been trying to get me to pay for 2 months of gym membership to which I never even used, as well as the fact that they want me to pay the annual fee since its the new year.

The process to cancel was already frustrating in and of itself. It wasn't an easy link to find at all. It was buried under multiple tabs on their club life app and I had to curate a message myself to them. Before figuring this out, I had already been calling for months trying to figure out how to cancel this membership.

DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM,

Take that 36 dollars a month they charge you and use it to build yourself a home gym over time, or get some dumbbells.

Went in on a recommendation. Spoke with Brian for about 30 minutes and I was hooked! Member 2.5 years, it’s female friendly, there are lots of machines, treadmills, ellipticals, etc. There are several private areas to work out if you’re shy, there are free weights, good wifi, some classes. Overall, I like it and enjoy coming here to work out and relax.

I have been a member for 3+ years. This place is unequivocally the best value for your money in the Charleston (not just Summerville) area. Free weights, plus a studio area, plus childcare, plus powerlifting area, plus huge cardio options.

Brian is an absolute treasure. He is very friendly and awesome to work with. He will even show you how to utilize some of the more advanced equipment.

This place does not miss! Please never change.

We joined the Knightsville location early this year and have been very happy with the gym, service, and location. We used to go to planet fitness, but it was often crowded and the parking lot can be very tricky and decided to try this location. We have enjoyed it very much!

Our son takes training classes with one of the trainers there named Jared. He is very professional and really has helped our son to get a better understanding on the technique of lifting weights the right way and also working on his cardio. We have been very happy with the results and the training he has provided to him.

This is an amazing facility with a large variety of equipment & is beginner friendly. I started with a personal trainer (shout out to JAREDDD) and the experience has been amazing. He works with your schedule and offers group workout sessions!! He helped me perfect my form and increased my confidence to visit outside of our sessions. Me & my mother signed up for the gym back in December of last year we go to the knightsville Location one and we are both trying to get out of our membership because we are in the process of moving and will no longer need the gym anymore we both put in request saying we are moving and need to get out the membership but the peak payment people are saying we would have to show proof of us moving & in order to break contract we would both have to pay 250 dollars or more in order to break the contract or they are willing to freeze accounts for two months when we are simply asking to just get out it this gym isn’t even up to date the equipment is old and classes are never during week day you only have boot camp on Saturday please make sure you read this so called contract when signing up for this gym I will never come back to this gym !

I’ve been a member here since 2021. I have no complaint with the gym itself, however the payment company Peak Payment Solutions is charging me an annual fee after canceling 30 days prior. I’m essentially being charged an annual fee for the year after cancellation which is not only fraud but violates provisions of the Service Member Civil Relief Act since I’m canceling due to military orders.

Fresh (oxygen) and clean facility. Martial arts facility. Jujitsu Brazilian, Take Kwon Do. I get to practice Judo and weapons in a large open space where I don't hit people. HORRIBLE AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE DUPED OUT OF MONEY. I canceled my service in August due to leaving the state and going back to pa where they had no pivotal gyms. I called the line told them I wanted to cancel due to the move and they said no problem that that reasoning would allow me to break the contract. It’s DECEMBER and they have been charging
Me 50 something dollars a month I havent stepped foot inside of that gym since I called obviously bc I’m not in the state. When I originally reached out they said I would need to send proof of my move…. Not being in the gym for almost half a year wasn’t enough for them. I sent my license I sent my business insurance all things on their list but somehow each item had something wrong…for example my license in pa was issued before August (I had a second home there so obviously I still had my license) at the end of the day it’s a gym membership we’re talking about I asked for my money to be refunded after they finally got a doc that worked for them and they refused saying it was my problem I didn’t send proof sooner. I would have gladly sent proof the day I cancelled had that information been relayed to me. I had to find out through 300 dollars being charged to my card. These people don’t care about you they are just greedy. How desperate do you have to be to not process 300 dollars it’s probably a sinking ship. Go to planet fitness or any other gym.

The management team here is a bunch of scammers. An employee told me i could go here if i signed up for another location then they told me i need all access for extra money. However when my dad signed up at this location he could still use this one. I wasn't impressed by this Pivotal Fitness location. The gym was slightly bigger than an apartment or hotel gym and there wasn't much equipment. The clients were also using multiple machines at once which was also annoying. There was also no front desk staff while I was there. There aren't any locker rooms either to my knowledge just a men's and women's restroom. I will most likely go to a different Pivotal Fitness location.

Plenty of room but I think the monthly bill for this location beside goodwill here in Knightsville area should be half the price because the one on trolley Rd is so big and has all the best equipment and they send all the junk to this location in Knightsville. I signed up for a month to month membership and was completely assured I could cancel anytime.

I stopped in the office on my last day and spoke with the manager notifying I was cancelling since I’m moving. He said no problem, I filled out the request form as instructed.

Now I received an email back that I owe a HUGE cancellation fee from their shady accounts team “peak payment” I am now told that I am locked into a contract and I never signed up for month to month.

Next I called the manager and he told me again over the phone that I was in a month to month and he would fix it. He said he would put a ticket in and have it fixed no problem. Over a week goes by and he has done nothing.

Now they’re continuing to charge my account after multiple times I’ve said stop. No one seems to care or willing to help.
I’ve moved and I’m no longer near that gym, but they don’t care if they continue charging you.

Own up to your word, fix the problem!
Don’t trust these guys.

If I could give zero to Pivotal, I would! I'm a military member that tried to cancel it's membership due to orders in different state. I contacted their customer service and they delayed the whole process for days instead of helping and expedite. They charged me not only the monthly fees but also they overcharged my CC with hidden costs. They asked for "proof" of orders and after providing those documents they questioned official Army unclassified document, saying "it doesn't look like official documents" even though it's. Pivotal in knightsville is awesome! Super clean, and socially distant. The staff is very friendly and helpful, always there in the mornings to greet you with a smile (under a mask) and positive connotations to get you ready to crush your workouts. They're also always there to answer any questions you may have, I have a lot being a novice in the gym. I have been trying to cancel my account because I moved out of state during the lockdown. They told me I should have come in to fill out separation paperwork but how would that have been possible if they were closed? Stay away! The gym just keeps charging you and will not work with you if you get injured and are unable to use the gym. They say they will but I was still charged the full month and was told I would have to wait until next month to reduce my rate to $9 after I notified them on the 3rd. The gym is not that great for the amount of money they charge. I joined in February and was charges $120, then $34 for one month, then charged $34 when I could not go, then $49 in April for the annual fee. Read the contract close and see what equipment they have before paying out all that money. Other gyms have better equipment for less money!

First time visitor to this gym as I am not on that side of time very often.....one of the reasons I love O2 Fitness' location versatility... super clean gym...more than 1 shower available and ample equipment variety.
