I do not recommend purchasing a black card membership from this (or probably any Planet Fitness location) if you are doing so to be able to use it at other locations and be able to freeze your membership if you are in a location with no Planet Fitness. I had a membership for a little over 1 1/2 years and while I had no issues using it at other locations, I travel often and needed to freeze it 3 times because there was no Planet Fitness where I was (and would be for an extended period of time, sometimes meaning I would pay $25 a month for no access). EVERY TIME I called this location (you have to contact your "home" location to freeze the account) to freeze my account, I was told I had to do that in person. Well, if I were in Columbia, SC, I wouldn't be freezing my membership, I would be going to the gym, so that logic makes no sense, nor is it true. I finally got it frozen, but not without having to speak to a manager each time. The 4th time I needed to do this, the young man answering the phone was very rude, said it was not in my contract that I could freeze my membership due to there not being a location near me (he said freezing the membership was only for medical reasons or military), and eventually hung up on me. I cancelled my membership at this point, and will not be using Planet Fitness again in the future. Unfortunately, no one at the management or corporate level will care or invest in hiring people to answer their phones that actually know what they're talking about and try to help their members.

I’ve enjoyed working out at this gym. It’s always clean and well organized, which makes it easy to get in and focus. The staff is friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming environment. It’s usually not too crowded, except during the summer when it gets a little busier because they offer free access to high schoolers. One of the best planet fitnesses I’ve gone to. Ample amount of equipment, not usually crowded, and can be utilized by a serious lifter. Friendly staff as well (except for one extremely rude woman who complained about my tiny drawstring bag - meanwhile people are leaving big coats, jackets, gallon jugs of water scattered all over the place which takes up WAY more space than a drawstring bag.

3/21/25 Update- After being asked on Feb 8, 2025 by the person managing the Google review page to email a screenshot of my complaint, sending the requested info and case number. I was told by the person responding to the email it will be forwarded to the franchise team. I'm here to say I still haven't heard from anyone and I'm not surprised.

ZERO STARS!!! I was forced to choose a star!! Polo/two notch location has the most disrespectful, racist manager I have ever encountered. On Jan 6th I entered the PF 360 area to use the low row. I was told by the black female worker with short black hair that class was starting and I had to leave the area. I told her I was going on the low row. she replied the area was closed from 11-12 for a class. I left and went to a treadmill. Minutes later a white lady entered the PF 360 area, and not part of the class. She passed the worker to get some weights and a mat and was allowed to stay in the area to complete her workouts. I went to the front desk to ask for a manager, to be shocked that the worker that discriminated against me is the manager, Lillian! I called corporate the same day, was told due to the nature of my complaint,I would receive a call before the week was over. A WHOLE week went by, I called back as my concern was if the complaint goes to the location manager about her nothing will be done. A couple of days later I received a call from a private number, voicemail was left and she said her name was Debra Wilson, regional manager and she provided a number for me to call.I called the number, no answer, the outgoing message doesn't indicate who owns the number but an automated voices states it's a Google voice subscriber, but I left a voicemail. My call was returned. I told her the situation from 2 weeks prior, she told me what was told to her by the manager, our stories didn't match at all. I told her to pull the video from the date and time and I also had photos to back me up. She said I shouldn't take pics of people in the gym but she would call me back by Friday. That conversation was Jan 15th, I haven't heard from anyone at Planet Fitness! It's clear that that type of behavior is acceptable from management.

TERESA DESERVES A RAISE!!!!! Y'all when I tell you I was feeling some sort of way after someone locked my hoodie in a locker. I asked everyone if it was their lock, and even sat and waited to see if they'd come back after having no luck. Tired from my workout and thinking I wasn't going to get my hoodie back I asked Teresa if she would check later for me. She got my information and promised I'd get my hoodie back. After multiple days of not being able to make it back Y'ALL SHE HAD MY HOODIE WAITING and was excited to see it got back to me!!! I was rudely turned away from the PF on Two Notch today. My husband and I have a joint membership and I have worked out without him several times over the last few months. I will note this location has seen better days. It is dirty and some of the equipment is in need of repairs, but the location is convenient. So Brian and another female worker with short black hair said I couldn't come without my husband and they said I needed my own membership. They didn't offer me a one time potential client pass. They belittled and berated me and sent me away. I was humilated, disappointed and dejected. I do not recommend.

The staff at the Polo Rd. Planet Fitness is horrible! I was a member here and was considering returning to this location but I witnessed a staff member disrespect a customer this morning. She was trying to tell him that the equipment was not being wiped down and he cut her off while she was talking and proceeded to tell her "what you not gonna do is talk to me any kind of way, I'm a grown man". She didn't yell or curse, was not condescending, no ill tone, and was respectful when she approached him. All she said was, I have watched 3 people use that machine and nobody has cleaned it. He then got defensive and cut her off and over talked her when she tried to explain more. He was rude, disrespectful, and unapologetic. I will not be returning to this facility. The staff here needs customer service training.

I came in at 6:50 pm on a Monday and the staff there is completely power driven the girl with the short black hair was power hungry about the hydro massage bed and chair they had me waiting for 7 min saying it delayed a min then 2 min then another min and continued to play games I finally got the bed on and I walked out for the continued games they were playing there was at least 4 people in the front desk all laughing and completely ignorant. Why piss people off when all we’re trying to do is work out and relax. People like that shouldn’t be working there next time I go I will take video and post this is bad behavior I pay for a black membership and feel like I should cancel I will be calling corporate if this continues. Reguardless if I have a guest with me the polite thing to do if they cannot use the bed is say so instead there playing games and being so unprofessional and discourteous.

I’ve been a member at Clemson Rd since July, 2022 but upgraded to Black Card in July, 2023. I have since used the Two Notch location frequently, especially when I mountain bike at nearby Sesqui. I've been a member here for awhile and just started coming back recently. The place needs to be better maintained. Equipment needs to be wiped down more frequently without relying on your customers to clean the equipment for you. They used to have an attendant that cleaned regularly.You don't need 2 or 3 staffers working the reception desk . Additionally, do you even have a manager present?Whoever it is seems to hide in his or her office. You had a manager there, named Danielle, that built a great rapport with your guests. Is she no longer with the company?

Management has certainly made a concerted effort to better maintain the equipment and premises! Very friendly staff have been making their presence known by regularly wiping down the equipment, cleaning the floor, and replenishing the paper towel dispensers and sanitizer. I've never been to this location before. I went in and had to go to the bathroom I asked the female where the restroom is and she seemed so high that she didn't understand what I was saying yet I speak perfectly clear English I don't even have some Southern slang. In a hurry I rush off to go to the restroom before I peed myself. After going to the restroom I go back out to my vehicle grab my stuff to take a shower. I go back in and an older man questions me about going in. I asked him if he needed me to scan again. He sarcastically says, "well yes I didn't see you scan in!" So I fumble through my bag to pull my phone back out to scan in again and just ignore how rude he was. Then I go back in to take a shower and there's not even a hook or any shelf to put my shower stuff; body wash, shampoo, conditioner, razor, creams, lotions. As if people here don't use hygiene products on their body? I just wet my hair in the sink and left without a shower. The rude male made another sarcastic, rude comment as I walked out again. I drive a semi across the country. Sometimes I rely on my planet fitness membership to shower. I will remember to avoid this city yet all times in the future.

I’ve been using planet fitness for a year and a half and this is one of the worst locations I’ve been to. They don’t do maintenance regularly on machines. I pay the extra money to use the tanning beds and they don’t change the bulbs or do any type of maintenance on them. I’ve complained numerous times to employees and management and nothing is ever done. Why would I pay the extra money to tan to not get results? I stopped going to this location bc of this and the cleanliness of location. I used to love this location and it went down hill quickly after I started using planet fitness. One word to describe this planet fitness: Lame. Recommend PF on Killian Road.

First, consistency & standards. I’ve gone to over a dozen planet fitnesses around the East coast and a multitude of other gyms and I’ve never been told I can’t carry bags with workout gear. That’s fine, but what got me was the lack of standards. I’ve been coming here for few weeks now and no one said anything until today. Come on now, it shouldn’t be at the mercy of who’s on shift if bags are really not allowed at this location.
Second, machines malfunction a lot; for example the leg curl bolt to lock in your thighs pop off…you don’t want that mid set.
Third, it’s humid and hot. I’m not even sure if this place has AC.

If you’re looking for a casual workout and don’t mind waiting 20+mins for one machine and to just “chill”, this place is fine. If you’re looking to be focused and get a good workout in, this isn’t it. A lot of people here seem to be getting more sets in on their phones or a good jaw workout. Good luck.

Came here because the Parkland Plaza's tanning beds were down. All of them. They said the beds should be fixed in a couple of days. So I came over to the Two Notch location, they set me up on a bed, but I went in and got undressed and the bed never turned on. Got dressed and waited at the counter for about 25 minutes for they guy to come back to try and set it up again and I'm now in the parking lot sitting in my car, writing this review before I go back in to see if someone is at the counter. I'm just going to assume he went to lunch right after setting me up the first time. We'll see!

Edit: Yay! I went back in and he was at the counter. They were having some system issues the first time around but he got me set up again, and made sure the bed came on so I could use it!
