The Bar Method Charleston - Daniel Island is a boutique fitness studio offering barre classes for students of all levels. The signature method uses your own body weight, the ballet barre and a few props to create a transformative workout that results in long, lean sculpted muscles. Not only does it reshape your entire body, but it allows you to channel your inner strength and leave class feeling strong, confident and poised. Highly-trained instructors customize the exercises to ensure they are safe and effective for any age and every body, including modifications for pregnant women and students with injuries. When I moved down to Daniel Island, I was looking for an exercise platform I could thrive in. I was previously a runner, always did weight/gym work and Tai Chi - but at 71 I needed an exercise that would challenge me and yet protect my joints from injuries. Voila - I found The Bar Method. The instructors are very knowledgable, friendly and always help with adjustments if needed. The Bar exercises have strengthened muscles I thought were long gone, and the camaraderie with the members is beyond words. I found a home here. I love me some Bar.

I’ve been doing barre for 15+ years and have even owned a barre studio in the Charleston area, which makes me a bit picky about where I choose to workout. The Bar Method Charleston is hands down the best barre studio around: top notch instructors, competitive pricing, a beautiful and squeaky clean studio, incredible choreography, upbeat music and friendly staff and clients.

Molly, the studio owner, is extremely knowledgeable and has the best trained instructors of any studio I have ever been to. All of her instructors go through a rigorous training process and are well prepared to help you with modifications and provide corrections to both prevent injury and take your barre practice to the next level. It doesn’t matter if this is your first barre class or your 1,000th you will leave feeling both physically and mentally stronger. Come try a class and find your new happy place, just like I did!

Bar Method is the first gym I tried out in Charleston and I loved it! Everyone is very nice, helpful, and really great at fixing your form and making sure you do the workout safely and effectively. This review is long overdue considering this Bar Method studio was one of the main reasons that I chose to move specifically to Daniel Island over a year and a half ago. I’ve been taking barre classes for over 10 years at various other studios in NYC and DC, and when making the move to SC a great barre studio was at the top of my list of requirements. Molly and her team make it a place that have to be daily and am so grateful to have found! The instruction is top notch, the studio space is beautiful, and the community they’ve formed is amazing. I've been coming to Bar Method for almost 3 years, and it's by far the best workout anywhere. I'm stronger and in better shape than when I danced and played sports as a teenager. I love this place. The staff is very professional and focused on each attendants posture and overall workout. It is my favorite part of the week, I feel welcomed and the exercises themselves are just amazing. The classes are well prepared and keeping the health of the person in mind. I’ve tried all sorts of workouts in past years - Spinning, Boxing, Weightlifting, HIIT, other types of bar studios like Pure Barre, bootcamps, CrossFit, and swimming classes. I’ve been going to Bar Method for several months since Molly opened its doors, and I can easily say the Bar Method is my favorite workout! This place is incredible. I started right when it opened, thinking in the back of my mind that this will be yet another fitness thing that I give up on halfway through the week. Instead, I take about 3-4 classes every week and love it.
