Eli is the best. I'm an amateur skateboarder/athlete, and since starting my conditioning, Eli has helped my skate skills in explosion, stamina, and overall strength. I'm the last person you'd ever see in a gym, but I did a free welcome session, and now I'm hooked. I would recommend these programs for anyone looking to gain strength, confidence, and overall body conditioning. A+++

I can confidently say this is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Working with Eli the last 5 months has been life changing for me. I am the strongest I’ve ever been, the most confident I’ve ever been, and the healthiest I’ve ever been.
I was in a car accident in ‘24 and very unsure of myself working out again. Even before the accident, I couldn’t squat. I was always intimidated in a gym setting. But none of that is true anymore since I started working with Eli.
There is no such thing as a workout with Eli where he isn’t right there with you making sure you’re doing every rep correctly and safely, and he will 100% be your biggest cheerleader. Not only that, but he will make sure you understand the science of it all. He truly wants to ensure you get the “why and how.” And he will help you see what you are truly capable of. (He’s also just a good guy! The whole staff are.)
For any lady out there who may be wondering, I’ve never felt intimidated once at the gym—just the exact opposite. It doesn’t matter what level you’re at today. There’s a very supportive, community feel to the entire gym, and there’s plenty of fist bumps to go around. 👊

I started training with Nick in July of 2024, and have been consistently seeing him three times a week. Besides being an excellent trainer, he uses his knowledge and previous background of wrestling and Exercise Science to create specific programs tailored to fit my goals. I needed someone who was going to hold me accountable, show me proper technique and is always there to hype me up. He has the ability to make you feel comfortable, ask questions, and will push you to your limits even when you think you can't go on. The entire team at the Body Lab works well together, even though Nick is my strength trainer, you get to know all the coaches. It's always a good day when you get to walk through those doors and workout with the best of Charleston.

Been training with Eli at Body Lab for over a year, on and off, and can’t say enough good things. He knows his stuff - focused on proper form, mobility, and longevity in the gym. What I really value was how he taught me to lift heavy on my own. The setup process at a new gym used to be intimidating, particularly as a new-to-lifting woman, but now I feel confident walking up to any rack at any gym. He’s got a “I do, we do, you do” approach that clicks. Eli’s got high standards in the best way - always pushing to add more weight or try a new movement pattern. Beyond the training, he’s a good dude. Always down to answer questions or give suggestions to anyone who asks. Treats everyone very well. If you’re looking for someone who will help you get so much stronger the right way, train with Eli!

I seriously can’t recommend Eli enough! My friend and I started working with him and his team right after moving to Charleston, and he’s been amazing from the start. He’s funny, super kind, and clearly passionate about what he does.
We originally went to him to work on form and mobility, but we ended up learning so much more. He makes working out a lot of fun, and he gives you the confidence to complete his exercises outside of personal training. I had a knee injury that made me nervous to lift, but Eli was great about modifying exercises so I could build strength without making it worse. He truly is the best personal trainer and I recommend everyone see him!

Eli is the absolute best. I'm someone that has always avoided gyms because I'm not comfortable and feel intimidated in them, and Eli has made me feel completely different about walking into a gym. I have been training with Eli for a few months now and have had strength increase, endurance increase, and I even get excited about going to work out which I never thought I would say. He trains myself and my husband together and does a great job balancing my beginner gym needs with my husband's former-athlete needs, even in the same hour session. Will be referring Eli and The Body Lab to anyone who needs a personal trainer, no matter your fitness level!!

Eli feels like Charleston's best kept secret, but I’ve gotta spill the beans and let the secret out. I’ve always been intimidated by the idea of having a trainer, but from day one He has always made My Wife and I feel like we belonged. You can tell he lives and breathes this stuff, and actually knows what he’s talking about. My Wife and I are both seeing great improvements with our strength, and things that used to hurt us, don’t anymore. If you are thinking about hiring Eli or his team of trainers, please don’t hesitate. It’ll be the best choice you’ve ever made!

While I was visiting my brother in California, I joined my brother for a training session with Sean. Even in my limited time interacting with Sean, it was clear he's not only experienced and knowledgeable, but positively motivating and affable. As a medical professional, my line of work is focused on injury and illness prevention. Sean made sure that I was maintaining good form with various lifts and helping adjust weight as needed to ensure both a good workout and minimize potential for unnecessary injuries. I wish I lived close to work with him regularly! Highly recommend Sean and The Fit Lab!

I only wish there were more stars to give Eli! I have been training with Eli for about 4 months now. I am 58, over weight, haven't exercised regularly in many years and it didn't faze him at all. My goal was to play Pickleball and to be able to get up and down from the floor with my grandchildren.......I am now playing Pickleball and moving quite well plus I am able to get up and down from the floor, stairs, etc. He makes himself available, he is knowledgable, patient, kind and very professional. I recently had an awesome session with Eli! He taught me the proper mechanics of basic strength movements with great detail and patience. I don't know my way around a gym, so Eli taught me all the basics. He then set up a personalized hypertrophy program for me to build full body strength. He made me feel empowered and psyched to get stronger and do it the right way. I highly recommend going to see Eli!

I worked with Eli for a bit of time while I was in Charleston. A lot of his learnings have stuck with me since that have helped improve hip mobility and allowed me to pull heavier weight, safely.
