Over the last 2 decades, I’ve mostly belonged to the YMCA. It served its purpose for that stage of my life. I’ve watched my husband develop as a trainer, nutrition coach and over the last 6 years a business man. One aspect of 28:Tenn, that was a sweet surprise, was the community that formed. I’ve had the privilege of joining so many of the small groups at all the hours. There’s one thing that sticks out in every group, the deep desire to be a better, healthier version of ourselves.

Adam is exceptional at tuning in to each person that’s in the gym. In 2017 I felt totally out of control with my eating habits. I heard about a nutritional program, through Adam Lee at 28 Tenn Fitness, that would address one eating habit at a time without counting calories or my never being able to eat that piece of cherry cobbler I love. And as for exercise…I began to notice friends and family members my age and younger loosing the ability to get down on and up from the floor or, in some cases, out of an overstuffed chair. My first thought was that these are just the things that happen to everyone when we get older. However, I realized their unhealthy food choices and sedentary life style are what contributed to their declining health and mobility. I decided to do all I could to keep myself from falling into such a declining condition. Now at 75, with Adam’s help, I see myself as a fit and healthy person who can do all the things I need to and want to. For example, I get up and down off the floor and chairs in my pre K Sunday school room and keep up with toddlers and pre-k as a sub for a Mother’s Day out program.
But I am not only fit in body. The disciplines Adam encourages us to practice through “Precision Nutrition” and physical coaching carry over into other areas of my life.
Adam is so knowledgeable and encouraging with just the right amount of patience and humor. He adjusts my workouts to accommodate a wonky arthritic knee or post replacement surgeries. He says, “Work smarter then harder.”
At 28 Tenn fitness, I am able to workout with family and people who have become friends. I look forward to each session and our bi-annual get togethers with all of Adam’s clients. We are a community. And I must say it is a blessing to watch my almost 81 yr old husband do beautiful strong push-ups from the floor.
So thank you, Adam. I am looking forward to old age…when I get there 🤭

I started working with Adam Lee last year after I went on a family trip and struggled to get up on a boat on my own. I am in my late 60's and in pretty good health, but I didn’t even realize I had NO strength! After a year with Adam, I am able to stand up off the floor from a sitting position (not easy at my age!) and I do 40 second planks, deadlift 71 lbs, have no body pain (as a sidesleeper), my immune system is stronger, and I love going to the gym to continue improving. I am down to 2 meds instead of 5! SO I’ve learned so much about health and nutrition and the supportive community has been such a huge part of my journey. Now, I get back on a boat by myself.

I cannot appropriately express my gratitude and admiration for Adam Lee at 28:Tenn Fitness. I'm a 61-year-old woman that realized I was at a turning point. I either make serious efforts to care for my health, or it's downhill from here on out. I"ve always been active (cycling, swimming, walking, classes, etc.), but needed the expertise on how to train properly. I was not good about strength training on my own.
Adam has made a huge difference in my life! He has the most expertise of anyone I've ever encountered in this field. He makes sure that proper form happens so that every rep counts. He holds me accountable if I start to slip. I have learned the 'why' of each move. I feel like my hour at 28:Tenn is the most productive it can possibly be!
The PN Nutrition program he offers is top notch as well, guiding me through not just the nutritional facts, but the emotional piece as well. Adam encourages me to see things not as black/white, but 'improvement'. After years of "Good/Bad" on my own, this is life-changing. I am happy to shed the fat and add lean muscle while learning to make better choices for my overall health.
Lastly, Adam is a man of character. He stands by his word, is honest and fun to be around. It's the best investment in myself and I am reaping the rewards of a healthier lifestyle. You will not be disappointed!
NOTE: Before/After photos from first year. I am almost 63 now and Adam encouraged me to sign up for a women's basketball league. We worked on plyometrics and agility in addition to the regular strength training. I played alongside girls in their 20's and 30's and had a BLAST! Go "Blue Blaze" of Hendersonville!

Adam has a great mix of enthusiasm and empathy, and seems to know how to facilitate sustainable progress. With his bulking program, I was able to gain 25 pounds in the first year. I love 28:Tenn Fitness! I'm 78 yrs old and I didn't think fitness was attainable. But Coach Adam never doubted he could help me reach a new level of fitness and strength even at my age. These last 18 months at 28:Tenn have been life changing. I'm definitely stronger and trips, stumbles and falls, if they happen which is now a rarity, don't end in broken bones, bruises and fear of it happening again. Coach Adam, and consequently his clients, are positive, encouraging and inspirational. He has small groups of clients at a time which allows him to make sure we are all thriving and getting our form right when working out. He's interested in each one's progress/goals which is great. It's clear he truly has a passion to help anyone get healthier and stronger. He provides an optional nutrition program which is not a short term diet but rather a life time of new habits which redefine our attitudes toward the food we eat. It's awesome and possible to achieve lifetime results that keeps a person off the weight gain/loss roller coaster. Six months into the program, I’ve continued to gain strength and become very comfortable with the diet plan. I’ve found that eating correctly is easy once I started planning ahead for meal prep, etc.

My goal was to lose a few pounds and get a little stronger. While I'm making progress toward those milestones, I didn't anticipate the added benefits of movement. The pain in my right shoulder from stenosis is no longer noticeable. I have full motion of my right ankle which was injured a year ago and PT didn't seem to help much. I am learning that movement is truly medicine and that showing up - even if I'm feeling some ache or pain - is always better than sitting it out. I didn't have this mindset a year ago and I have Adam to thank!
Finally, I've never experienced a coach like Adam. His knowledge about the body, its systems, and the benefits of movement and strength training is exceptional. I thought I was joining to lose weight. I've gained a whole new lifestyle instead. Five stars plus for 28:10!

This place is a hidden gem! Adam is a scientist when it comes to the body and muscles. He showed me the proper way to do a squat, and i did my first pull-ups, something i could not do because i don't have good upper body strength. I love his classes because it's not 30 people at one time. He is your personal trainer. He also is there for you with motivational text and goal setting. If you are looking for someone who cares about your fitness goals as much as you do and will keep you going, i highly recommend Adam.

I have used Adam with 28: Tenn Fitness for a year now and the results are outstanding. When I came to him toward the beginning of 2022, I had just moved to the area. I was stressed out, overweight and recovering from surgery. Adam took time to ask questions and learn about my life, my goals and my issues. From day 1, he has been an advisor, a source of encouragement and simply a friend. I have lost a ton of weight and regained a lot of my confidence. About 6 months into the program, I ran the Berlin Marathon. I just finished a year with him and I have another marathon scheduled in 3 weeks. To say that Adam has made a difference in my life would be a massive understatement. I am very lucky to have met him. If you are looking for a health or life coach, you have found your guy!

Over the last 9 month 28:TENN's trainer, Adam, has renewed my confidence in my personal fitness.
I had allowed time and injuries and loss of mobility to erode my quality of life without realizing the degree of disability to which I had grown accustomed. The consequences had become personally insurmountable, to the point of throwing in the towel and settling for less out of life. Early on it seemed daunting, even humbling. Along the way I questioned my investment of money and time thinking I'm not worth it. Even now I have moments of doubt, but looking back over the past months I have a new health perspective and a stronger self respect. I have new joy in living as I discover life after 70 !

I need to preface this by saying that I've run the gamut with different modalities of exercise and personal training- I've worked with personal trainers for over 20 years, I've done crossfit, I done group fitness, I've joined other training groups that focus on singular goals within a professional context, you name it...
I've been training with Adam for the last couple of months, hoping to tear down old, dysfunctional patterns and to rebuild functional strength that improves my ability to perform my job (I'm a Chiropractor, so lots of moving other people's bodies and transmitting mechanical forces through their tissues) and also to be able to continue to do the things I love to do in life, like hiking and playing with my kids- all without injuring myself and without experiencing that soul-crushing and function-crushing soreness that is so common in exercise nowadays. I'm so satisfied with what Adam brings to me each week. He knows just how to push me enough out of my comfort zone to create strength and adaptation, without wrecking my body for the rest of the week. Not only that, but his program supports all of the metabolic needs of my fitness goals. Adam is a hugely valuable resource and I look forward to continuing my work with him for as long as I can think up new health goals!

Adam Lee is one of the best trainers I have ever met. I worked out consistently w Adam for 10 years and I can say I highly recommend Adam for anyone looking for a personal trainer.
Adam is consistently attentive, always making sure to correct my form and to make sure I push my myself to the limit. At times I want to quit, but he seems to know exactly how much I can endure. Adam stays in fantastic shape himself and has run several marathons. He is very positive and inspiring by how he lives his own life. Over the years we have become personal friends as well, whether spending the hour working out w Adam or even golfing w him in the afternoon, he is a pleasure to be around.

I consider myself a fitness veteran, and had work with many personal trainers before, but Adam is a toally different kind!
I even hesite to call Adam a fitness trainer as if calling a swiss army knife as a can opener.
Adam's approach to fitness is about wholeness. Weight training, cardio, diet, life habit, spiritual practive all combined into one. A healthy person is not just about a weight number or body image. Adam shines above all others because he address all the aspect based on each client's personal need.
I used be proud that i can do plank for 4 minutes, after Adam's tiny adjustment here and there, a 30 seconds plank get me sweaty and shake and felt better than ever, YES, he is that Great!

I cannot recommend Adam and 28:Tenn Fitness highly enough. Although I have known Adam for 10+ years, I have only been training with him for the past 6 months. My question to myself is "Why did I wait so long!!??"

I worked with Adam 3 days a week for many months in 2018 after having worked with another trainer prior to him. My progress had stalled with the prior trainer, but magically Adam had me on a program that again started melting away the body fat and building strength at the same time.
